Looks like this one is missing, found something that suspiciously looked like the container's camo, but no container.
Searched the area, but with all the cut wood stacked up around the tree we couldn't spot the cache
think it might have gone again, we saw something that it might once has resided in, but not the cache
A new plantation of grasses & gardening done at GZ. No sign of hint item.Very boggy around GZ.
No luck for us today. Friendly cat guiding the site. No luck with the object or cache but site does look to have been recently cleared
D found this one on 2nd sweep. We weren't sure if description & hint were still relevant, but all good. TFTC G--2.
Took some hunting around to find this. There's been some radical tree pruning/lopping in the area and we initially feared that the cache was a casualty. Fortunately it's still there. TFTC!
Found some likely looking camouflaged polystyrene with a hole in it but no cache. Caching with GERNITA who have sent a photo to the CO for verification.
We found something in a tree which got us excited but sadly it wasn't to be. The tree has had a lot of branches removed recently, if that is where the cache was it seems to have gone
Found what looked like the place where this cache should have been but no cache. Didn't spend too much time here as we needed to move along. Will check again in the future.
#13783. We went clockwise from our parking position and had a longer walk for one find and a DNF. Anti-clockwise was more productive (a shorter walk and a quick find). TFTC.
Day 10 of our North Is trip, and today we are travelling from Puhoi to Takapuna, via Okura (and then back to Puhoi again to collect a bag we had inadvertently left behind ).
Happy that GZ was in the shade as I was getting hot from the walk. Didn't take StreetWalker long to track this one down. TFTC.

We were over this way today as we wanted to collect a certain cache that would allow us to become more rounded cachers (as if I need to get any rounder) - on the way there we stopped off and collected this geocache. My GPS was pointing me slightly in a different direction but I figured this was the most likely place to put a geocache and there it was. Nice camo as usual G--2. Thanks for putting this here.
out with 10centnz for the day, we both looking straight at cache when 10centnz pointed ahaaa oh man that was a heavy rock..!!!, nice hide tftc
Out with Lokky1 for the morning. Quick find. It was nice to be out of the sun!! Log is a bit damp. Tftc
Karnuku Jnr wanted to introduce her friend to geocaching so we set out on the trail around the crater. A quick find here.
Easy find a bit muddy round the area I got my new track pants and Nike shoes ruined from the mud! Haha. Really boggy during winter and on rainy days. Saw an adorable baby hedgehog though which made my day
Not a dark rock, not a heavy rock, but still a great rock at the end of the day. TFTC
Just as well I was with Pazzabella as she looked at the cache, put it down and went off somewhere else to search! Laughing, I then picked it up and showed her what she had missed seeing! Sneaky!
I went straight to this cache and dismissed it as nothing in particular, much to Merlots amusement. She saved a lot of time wasting here for me!
Found this but forgot to log it until 29/01/2017 when I went back to GZ after the nearby Chinese & Korean New Year Festival and realised I'd already done this one...
After work this evening I went for a short walk along the northern section of Tuff Crater to find a few caches before heading home. This was a nice quick find at GZ. TFTC!

Nice sunny day. Off school after Easter. Thought we would find some local caches. East find although a few dog walkers around.
Found ... we had friends up for the weekend & decided to go for a drive to check out some things over on the North Shore ... man, oh man I've never seen so many creepy crawlies infesting a cache area, not the cache itself, just where the cache was placed ... in the end, the cache was easily found & quickly replaced ... TN:LN:SL ... TFTC ... #1,246 for us.
Quick grab on a sunny Auckland day. Interesting amount of insects guarding this cache. TFTC!
Waking up to no power and unlikely to get any until the afternoon at least, GAR saying his laptop was out of juice and he needed to go to Albany to get any work done, what's a girl to do but join him for the trip down and go and do some caching? I had planned to pick up my daughter from university for Easter today anyway. So tried to get some solves actually found. After floundering a bit and with still a bit of time in hand before needing to cross the Harbour bridge I decided to try and find some more of the caches around the crater here. Now that I am logging my finds I discover the coords were changed only 4 days ago and my last GPSr update was a lot longer ago than that. Despite this I still managed to lay my hands on the cache - more than once in fact as I didn't realise what I was holding the first time! Thanks for yet another cache G--2!

After skipping a couple of caches I decided that I at least had to grab this one, I headed to to GZ and there was no one around, making the search nice and easy. A quick and easy find right in the first place I looked. I could see a few bits of stuff that looked like it should have been camo, but the actual cache itself had no camo on it, as others have mentioned. The log book though was dry and still had plenty of space on it. TFTC #509
Found the film canister with log in a tree - as noted by other finders, no cammo
Went for a walk around the crater. Never actually been here before, quite tranquil despite being so close to the motorway. No sign of any rocks however. TFTC.
No truffles, but did get the inevitable and proudly worn geocaching scratches from the trees, and of course the cache. tftc
Out and about collecting some of the local caches while in the area with tmann421.
Found camo container but no log so tmann replaced log and film canister.

On a short geocaching trip in Auckland with Just-Lookin.
We found remains of this cache in poor shape - left film canister and new log to go on with.

On a family holiday in the area visiting family. This trip is a holiday with caches, not a caching holiday.
Today we had tired cachelets and a sedate drive to Devonport for a bakery trip and a play was in order. We had a sleeping cachelet in the back of the car and needed to stretch out the sleep so we grabbed a few trads in the area before heading to Devonport. Such a cool spot. Quick find before we headed back to the car.
Thanks for the cache.

Mr Keylev arranged for me to get out of the house with NZTravellers on a little trip this evening (think he just wanted some peace and quiet). We stopped along here to collect a couple of the caches but will have to be back for the rest it looks like a very cool little track.
We squelched over the field and up the bank and soon spotted the geo trail which led us right to the correct spot. Unfortunately the bison has gone but we found the slip of paper which was actually still very dry even with the rain we have had. We took some time to have a look through the foliage (as best as you can with torchlight) for the bison but to no avail.
Thanks for the cache.

Had to come across to the Shore to drop Miss NZT off and we also needed to find a puzzle cache nearby.
Keyev also required the puzzle so we make a trip of it.
Having found our puzzle cache we noticed this one was close to where the car was parked. We headed to GZ and noted the ground was soaked. Made the approach to GZ and I was looking in the wrong place. Keylev ventured across the wet grass and pointed us in the right direction. I stated its not here only "this is" That's IT stated Keylev DOH!!!
We couldn't find the container but the slip of paper was still there and amazingly dry. We signed the log and tried checking to see if we could find the missing container but to no avail.
Signed the log and returned everything.

Found the rock but the bison hole was empty - must have fallen and disappeared in the foliage.... stuck a lil paper with my log
It was a bit wet and muddy on the approach to GZ, but finding the cache nice and dry made it worth the effort.
Back in Northcote for another visit. I thought this would be a great walk for my doggies. Northcote appears to be full of great walks for dogs. This cache threw me a bit but once I got my head around the clue it all fell into place. Nice wee hide. TFTC
Lovely morning walk around part of Tuff Crater. Thanks for bringing us here. We drive past most days but have never visited. Quick easy find.
Unfortunately for me the trail of grass that lead to the cache had just been cut (the lawnmower was leaving just as I got to GZ), but the GPS was doing well today so it sent me in the right direction to try and make the find.
Initially didn't see anything that seemed to fit so widened my search and found a pipe, but that didn't seem right so I tightened my search again and looked a bit harder and wondered why I'd not seen it in the first place. Struggled with the weight to get this one out in the open and then noticed that the bison was not present, but it had just fallen out and was happily resting nearby.
Cool cache, nice spot - can't complain - TFTC

A nice trail that had been cut through the long grass and onion weed gave this one away pretty quickly. TFTC.
I had a bit of free time during a work visit to Auckland today so decided to head a little north of the bridge to find some caches. These Tuff Crater caches were the first ones I came to. Some were definitely tuffer than others to find. A little squelchy walk off track to GZ to find this one. Nearly slipped over near GZ but managed to stay on my feet. Spotted what was hiding the cache quite quickly. Had to remove a big black guard spider before I could get to the cache and log the find though. TFTC, Biggles.
Ha ha ! Totally not what I was expecting ! Saw this item initially , discarded it and went further up hill ...to no avail ...Then finally Ric took another look and said ... It's the cache ! Cool camo !
It must be a Glyn day !!!! Several tough finds today.
This one was almost discarded. TFTC.

Came over to the Shore 2 collect a Truffle tonight. Wandered to GZ by torchlight and began to search. Soon spotted something worth investigating, and sure enough - we'd found the Truffle. Thanks!
On a mission for 50 days in a row. Day 3 and another dash after work. So glad the rain held off till I got home. Always enjoy a walk around here and was rewarded with a quick find. SL. TFTC.
Absolutely love the disguise. Spotted something odd and was almost about to discard when i saw it was the cache!
2 people sitting on nearby seat while i was at Gz
Many thx for a sneaky hide!

Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Its been tough at times to find the caches, but so far its been a great day. Another clever camo, but then it is a Glyn cache, and luckily for me this one wanted to be found. Thanks again for the hide.

Another sneaky hide! Took a detour off my path, I am walking this track for the first time, and having a lot of fun making my way around, if only the bridge had been built this would be perfect! Never mind today its a geocaching mission, and so far its been successful. Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.
Enjoyable evening stroll around the crater, with lots of muggle joggers about. Good hide TFTC.

Continued a walk with the Future Finder to this cache. Super quick find here. Well, I think that will have to do for today; the FF is in serious need of an ice cream. Cheers for the cache placement!
Went for a short walk today while the other half was at physio nearby. Could have been quicker with this find, if I started on the right side! TFTC!!!
Clever hide--not what I was expecting at all. It took me a wee while to find although it probably should not have. Isn't that always the case? Cache is all good and dry. Cheers for the cache.
Needing to find 50 caches in a day at least 1k apart, for geo licence challenge; I had decided today was the day, as I was already up early, dropping my daughter off at the International Airport at an un-godly hour of the morning.
From bastion Point I decided to head back over the Shore, swap cars (mine had more petrol and my daughter's cars headlights needed bashing to turn them on - so I didn't want t get caught later in the dark).
#30 There were builders working on neighbouring house to the access driveway, they had strings across the drive which I'd stepped over on the way down. When I came back up only a couple of minute later, I got some looks from the builders, so I muttered something about a 'help' call from kids, who car had broken down. TFTC

Yay! Happy new year. Dog enjoyed wandering around as I signed it. I love this crater. Cheers.
Nice quick find here. Great camo as per usual Glyn (and always appreciated). TFTC.
Out for a days caching with Trout-fly and Josie and as we arranged to meet in St Peter's Street (Keeping it simple for him) we wandered along here. Ryan had the cache in hand before he realised what it was. Great walk around the crater, first one way and then the other. It will be brilliant when they build the bridge. TFTC
Josie got an invite from Team Welsh to go for a walk around the crater and I got dragged along to drive her there. Decided to meet at St Peters (great, I will remeber that address) and away we went. Thanks.
Approached the cache and 'semi' found by Mrs Handyandyman who said this is not the cache. Took about a second and Mr said it is the cache, just how to get in? Did that in a very short time... can't say that for some of yr caches Glyn. Definitely a Fave. Thanks for the stroll around the crater. Great camo as we have come to expect.
SL ln nil...Out grabbed a few pieces of firewood nearby for the fire pit and a BBQ 2 night

Am getting quite familiar with the area having been out here a few times cache hunting. Like the cryptic hint. Spotted something of interest pretty quickly, picked it up, had a quick look and was about to put it back when I thought 'this is a Glyn hide' so had a much closer look and spotted the well hidden cache. Had trouble signing the log because a friendly dog ran up and kept nudging me. I wonder how long before another cache draws me back to this rather nice area. TFTC.
This is my last day of my 50-day run of a cache-a-day which was a part of the Full Licence Challenge. What an adventure it was especially as I don'y like caching in the rain. Luckily with Auckland's weather I could go out between showers. I have now completed the Full Licence requirements so a visit to Rangitoto will be happening in the near future.
It was a nice walk around this nice quiet area. When at the GZ I noticed something that was not quite normal. On further investigation I spied the cache.
Cheers for the cache.

I searched in all the wrong places at first then I noticed something slightly out of place, Ha ha clever hint.
Was a couple of minutes too late for the FTF on this one. Found Slieschke there already, signing the log. Shouldn't have been tempted by the Birkenhead shops as I drove past. Second to find for me. Thanks for the cache.
FTF
Thought I'd do some caching on my lunchbreak and made my way over to the shore. The cache wasn't quite placed at the expected level but then quickly found it. As I was signing the log Jacksonz turned up out of nearly nowhere and we had a quick chat before heading on. Nicely played with the hint!
Thanks!
