Today, I was headed back from the south-east towards Adelaide. I finished my final cave diving just before lunch, and so made the rush towards Beachport for the GeoVenture2020 event that ended at 12:30 p.m., arriving with 5 min spare. I then joined the gang to find a few local Beachport caches, and hide a few more. It will be interesting to hear the chatter amongst the more adventurous geocaches. I then continued finding a few more around Beachport, before driving back via Nora Creina and Robe. My tyres were already half deflated, which allowed me to venture off to some of the 4WD geocaches scattered along that route. A few more geocaches found in Robe and Pink Flats, before I had exhausted all of the daylight, and drove the final leg straight.
A nice quick find of this one at GZ. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Makintracks04 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
I'm not sure why this cache needs to be disabled, as it is a nicely constructed cache actually. I'm hoping it can continue to live longer, rather than getting archived soon enough.

Thanks to Makintracks04 for placing the cache for us to find.

A nice stop here and view over the beach till it started to pour with rain
Today I headed from Mt gambier back home to Adelaide, with hosting 2 events along the way it made for a good reason to cache along the way.

Easy find and our last for today after a great weekend in Kingston and Robe. TFTC
Found this with my wonderful long suffering muggle husband. Nice view. Cache was a bit wet inside. TFTC TNLNSL
Heading for millixent from Meningie. A great way to start the c day with a cache find. Found with The X-Trailers. TFTC
The second find on the walk back from a five km run in the sun and sand. A magnificent day weather wise but not a great day overall learning that nanton34 had someone ram his caravan from behind on his journey to the Barossa. our annual Australia Day pilgrimage not going to plan. cache container in good condition but log book is damp. tftc
The coast is anything but clear at this time of the year !! [:o]
Luckily for me,
but not for the business across the way,
said business seems to have gone out of business
So the coast was clearer than it could have been
Up top of dee dune,
I stood for a while,
did a Colonel Light impersonation,
and took in the views
Where I was pointing was not where the cache turned up
"It's behind you squawked a passing seagull."
TFTC and visit to some people's idea of paradise

Suscoe was heading south east today and a beautiful blue sky followed us all the way until mid afternoon.
We spent some time around Kingston SE with our good friends Phetlern.
Lovely sunshine kept things pleasant.
Thanks to Makintracks04 for this cache.
Further along the road there is a detour due to the road being washed away last year and the repairs washed away this year.

An early start from Meningie, meant we were able to park our car & van in Kingston and head out with Suscoe to grab a few local smiley tokens before heading on to Millicent.
No dolphins today, but certainly a great part of the coast to visit.
Thanks 'Makintracks04' for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Found at 2:57 PM GAFF3.
No one around here today so we had an uninterrupted search and then had a lovely view of the water - no dolphins could be seen from here unfortunately.
Thanks Makintracks04.

A quick find on our way home after short caravan holiday at Robe. Left one of our pathtags. TFTC
Heading home from my Mum's near Beachport today...I was not in too much of a hurry so decided to grab some caches away from my usual route...
I parked nearby and walked for the views...
It is obvious with the hot weather recently the container & logbook have dried out & I could actually sign the page exposed...the others are pretty much stuck together...CO might like to do some maintenance before the next rain...
This is a lovely area...

Really quiet here this morning - just the way we like it [8)]!

Easy find... the container is about stuffed and will need replacing. Couldn’t sign as the book was wet
After parking in the shade had to wait out a walker before the phone took me right to the cache. The little caches trail helped too! As mentioned cache was very wet but carefully made the sign in the wet log book, took in the beach then back to the patiently waiting family in the car. Thanks for the cache.
A Rat and an Owl went on a journey to Mt Gambier.
This one of the many stops they made in their journey.
The Rat spotted this one quickly, Owl took the TB.
The log is soggy but we were able to stamp the log.Tftc

The Owl and the Rat ran away to Mount Gambier for the weekend. They took a very slow and winding road down, cleaning out towns they normally bypass. With all the rain this area has had lately, it was hardly surprising that the log was soggy, but a mark was made and they were on their way.
Walked straight past as my GPS was still asleep! Easy find. Can't see the sea for fog, still too early. TFTC. Stayed at the free camp last night, great spot.
Out for a day of sightseeing and caching around the Robe and Kingston areas with Biggles of Oz and Mrs Biggles. This was our fifth cache of the day and was found by Biggles of Oz after a short search. Cache forty five of sixty two for our trip. TFTC. TNLN. After finding the cache we took the short walk to the beach but did not see any dolphins today.
"Drop In At Pinks" was skipped since there were a few caravaners camping nearby so we headed on to this one. After a short search we located the cache and decided it was time for the "Epicure" TB to move on with other cachers.

#11571. Day 3 of our holiday and today Robmc and I left windy Robe and headed for windy Kingston S.E. and surrounds. Unfortunately, we had quite a few DNF's as we didn't read all previous logs before visiting the caches and we would arrive to find the cache had actually been missing for months.
A bit of a scramble and there were certainly nice clear coastal views from up here. A nice quick find opposite the seemingly empty shop and all was well with the container.
Thanks Makintracks04

Day Three of our holiday, BettyBoo3747 and I toured from Robe up to Kingston SE, and looped back around the Commurra Bus Run to Robe (and greasies for tea!).
A lot of caches in Kingston SE need a lot of TLC.
The coast was clear today (the store was closed!)
Lovely view from GZ.
Thanks, Robmc.

Found the cache during our drive from Robe to Adelaide. Good place to stop and to enjoy TFTC and cheers from Austria.
Thanks for the beautiful view and a trip memory lane. Use to visit here to buy icecream on school holidays a lot as a child with my grandparents and Uncle. TFTC
After spending the weekend doing the Border Track, I had an extra day to grab some caches in the area. TFTC.
A quick dash for a cache on a cold afternoon. What a shame another local shop has closed down, we thought with the popularity of summer crowds it would be enough to keep the little shop open.
With Mrs Kookacrew having a sore leg it was up to Mr Kooka to retrieve the cache and put our mark on the log, this done we cruised off to do what we were supposed to be in town for.
Thanks Mackintracks9-04 for the cache. TNLNSL

Our third day of camping at Meningie for the Australia Day Long Weekend. We decided to head down to Kingston today and clear out around there and do some 4WDriving along the beaches. After a quick find, we ducked across the road for an ice cream. as we were pulling away, I realised that my glasses were not hanging on the front of my shirt and nowhere else to be found..Bugger!! I've dropped them at a cache...not being able to remember the last time I had them on, I went back and checked this cache...no glasses..so we back tracked the last 4 caches that we had found after lunch when I remember having them last...No luck...back at this one, Meggs goes and looks...then anounces that next time I should have a Girls Look.. Glasses back on head and we are off again..TFTC
A quick look for muggles but the coast was clear and the cache soon found

Accurate coordinates led to a quick find of a well hidden cache. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks for the cache Makintracks04.
We are back on the road heading to Kingston S.E ( what does S.E stand for)
We made numerous stops on the way finding caches. The scenery is very interesting, lakes & salt pans.
After lunch we took a trip out to Cape Jaffa.

Catching up with some very late logs.
Traveling to Victor Harbour for a few days with SuperPop we were grabbing a few caches along the way.
We had been battling an icy wind most of the day and as we got out of the car it started to rain, Bugger.
Lucky the cache was found right where the GPSr said and we soon had our names in the log.
Great views from here but not the right day for a swim.

Found on a short trip south to escape the big smoke before the Xmas rush. Clear skies to Makintracks04 from TeamAstro.

We saved this one until later in the evening as we knew we needed to take our little old dog for a stroll before bed. It is so funny having daylight after dinner time, we come from a place without daylight saving. We took the short stroll right at sunset and after finding the cache and signing the log we couldn't resist going for a walk along the beautiful beach. A great way to end a wonderful day of geocaching in Kingston.

The Haywood Hornet had read the description and concluded that this would be a good place to stop - can't think why. The ice creams were indeed excellent, even if they don't serve many at this time of year.
We found the cache after stopping for an ice cream - Yes, they are very good. We walked down to the beach to eat them and then a short search, on the way back, and we had the cache.
