Its another stunning Winters morning, clear blue skies and sunny So Ive headed South from Adelaide to do some more caching around the Callington & Monaro areas (still so many caches down this way to find).and what a lovely part of SA it is too. This cache was quickly found and log stamped TFTC
Travelling with richlink as part of our Annual Caravan Geocaching Trip.We are staying in Murray Bridge for a few days and doing a bit of sightseeing around the area using geocaching as our guide. It's a chilly morning, but it's not raining, and we are caching. Win win for us, but not so for the farmers. TFTC CPWanderer.
Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state WA. Spending a few days in Murray Bridge to cache the surrounds. Loving the scenery that we pass as we move through the caches - this is our preferred caching - not suburbs. Thanks for the find CPwanderer
A quick grab to fill a day with no caches. Cache in a good state, TFTC CPWanderer and Bindi the wonderdog.
In all our travels we would not have even thought to travel to this location.
(HaHa). In your dreams, these cachers do.
[:(!] Thanks for an awesome effort.

A quick find on a lovely morning while out caching with Moroldies. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer
And another nice day for a cache...
Finally came along and finished the last of the butchwalk.
A long journey indeed done in several small parts!
But there plenty more by the same CO left to do out this way

Caches everywhere up or down are located and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or often with just plain old dumb luck
*Logs are composed and published using GSAK.*
---
Please do stay safe when caching.
Lookout for mud, snakes, surprise cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and floods,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins and don't fall out of trees...
-- -- -- -- -- -- -- but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure that Travel Bugs are the only bugs you share and pass on
We really appreciate all those placing quality caches out and about around the countryside,
it keeps our game safe, fun, and interesting

Found with Makingpie after attending the nearby CP event. Thanks CP for the butchwalking explanation and the cache series.
Another day of beautiful sunny weather, bush walking and great caching. This is my favourite way to cache - park the car and go off on foot. I had the trails to myself today no other people spotted except a few parked cars in the car park.
All caches found were in great condition. One tricky find but the rest were simple and quick finds - just how I like them.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer.

I parked at the southern point and made my way around collecting the few caches in the southern park of this area. All of the caches were easily found and are all in good order
Today after attending my early birds event in north Adelaide I Alex see to head east towards Monarto to complete some of the walking trails before heading to strath and back home via the back roads collecting caches. All up 72 finds for the day

Found while what is now a forced stay in Murray Bridge due the CO-VID 19 issue. So in fitting with the new rule I go out into lonely areas and geocache for exercise. (with allmy frends,(no one). Well thats my story anyway. A quick find on a cool morning.
TFTC. Was quite out in the open so we have hidden a little better for next cacher.
Out in Monarto forest on a beautiful winter's day to grab some caches. Thanks to CPwanderer for this great series.
Grabbed this cache too in this series while driving jtnsilo around today finding caches. We did at least 6 Cpwanderer caches today although I did revisit at least one of them on CP's lawn. TFTC CP.
I was on the way to meet Goodlook at Murray Bridge this afternoon and decided to break my journey and do 4 of this series on the way.
It was a hot windy day with a change on the horizon but it was good to get out of the car and do some short walks.
All caches in great condition too
Thanks CP

Mr Tardis was on a caching expedition through parts of Monatro Forest today while heading towards CPwanderer's event. A beautiful spring day to be out and about finding caches.
I found the cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache CPwanderer

out with getnict caching some of the walking trails. Saw the evidence of the " way marks " ( roof tiles ) people use for Orienteering near gz.
What do you do when the weather report forecasts strong winds, 10 degrees and up to 25mm of rain... you go geocaching! We were keen to finish the Monarto Forest series, so we rugged up with full waterproofs and headed out to do the northern section of the forest (southern section completed in June), along with the geodog. A lovely area to walk, with a good variety in terrain, along with lots of roos.
found as part of the NONT team with the trailblazer venturers. We had a ball and never got lost.
**Out and about cleaning up some caches with AnyMules**...
*Found whilst House Sitting in Nairne*
A nice day out with good company and many laughs... A nice area for a stroll through...
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment CPwanderer... Appreciate your efforts...
Stamped log and returned as found...

It was a lovely day of cool weather perfect for a trip around the park. Another cache spotted easily from a distance.
Thanks for the cache CPwanderer. Found on 21 Mar 2017 at 2:28 pm. Find #4220.

The second 'butchwalking' one I (Ava) found with Harrowang before deciding it was too dry and hot. Thanks for showing us this part of Monarto forest CPwanderer
Very dry and crunchy butchwalking today. Did not see any wriggly sticks luckily. Happy to pick up some 'unlove'. SL at 2.05pm Left: windmill PT #4330 TFTC CPwanderer
What better use of a public holiday than to go for a walk and pick up a few caches along the way. While we were enjoying our walk in the Monarto Forest we saw several kangaroos, lots of monarch butterflies and large flocks of what we think were pied currawongs. At this time of the year the bark on some of the mallees looked almost polished. Thanks for creating this series.
Today we decided to head out in the wind and rain and finish the Butchwalking series. We enjoyed the walk even though it was a little tough pitting our strength against that of the wind. We did not see any kangaroos or hear any birds, we wonder why. Uhm, yes we have an answer the wind was to loud. SL TFTC
After caching to the north and east of Murray Bridge yesterday, we concentrated on caching closer today. In particular we focussed on the "Walkies" and "Butchwalking" series with some additional caches along the way. We really enjoyed walking through the reserves - so different to reserves and parks at home. Along the way we appreciated the variations in the trunks of the trees, particularly some of the gum trees, and the flowering gums were superb. The area, however, was incredibly dry. Throughout the forest there were furrows in the ground reminiscent of plantations at home - we wondered if the area had been a plantation at some time in the past.
Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks CPwanderer for the cache and the "Butchwalking" series.

While Mrs C was out shopping with her mum, Mr C decided to go out and grab some caches. I did approximately 10kms of walking during the morning . A good lot of caches found, with no slithery ones about although I encountered 3 sleepy lizards and plenty of kangaroos.

Out for an afternoon's caching with the Double Helix Clan, we decided to start with the "Butchwalking" series. With two cars, including the DHC's 7-seater, we easily tackled the series in two sections with a lunch break in between. Another quick find here and a bonus TB to grab as well! TFTC CPwanderer!

Found a great place to drop this little travel bug off today! Great day to walk and warm up! Tftc
The second of five finds on this series of caches today. We picked a nice morning to visit this area today, as it looks like it's been fairly muddy here recently. The cache was found nice and easily, and we continued on our way.
Thanks CPwanderer.
Thanks CPwanderer.
Found it on a beautiful crisp Saturday morning. Very peaceful out here and a perfect spot for a cache trail. TFTC
Back to finish off this series of caches, finally!
Couldn't have picked a better day for it either, cold, raining, cold, with nearly 16 year old dog along for the walk (she showed no signs of slowing up until we were at the last cache though!), cold, raining, and did I mention it was cold and raining?
However this is a great place to walk in the rain. It really comes to life in the wet, the colours are more intense, the smells are more intense, and the white wing choughs sound spookier somehow.
Enjoyed the different vegetation that's found in this northern section of the woodlands compared to elsewhere, and of course we enjoyed the walk and caches.

A nice easy find along a lovely trail in beautiful bushland. Lovely day of fine, but overcast weather. Perfect for completing a trail such as this. Had Geo Daughters (1pinkexplorer & 1funnyhoney) and friend Hevwalker12 with geomutts in tow
Found with messy61, crane2 & gnomeo2007. Already found as part of DoubleHelixClan.

Out for the day with DoubleHelixClan and messy61. We juggled vehicles and worked out the best plan of attack, including a lunch break about half way through. The weather was perfect really, not too warm and not too cool and we all enjoyed the outing. Thank you for a great collection of caches. Cache #2021.
Spent the day out with Crane2, DoubleHelixClan and new members Stunkypanda2006 and Gnomeo2007 as we tackled the Butchwalking series. Weather was fine and not too hot by the time we finished, but there were a few tired bodies. Really enjoyed the walk and the cache series. TFTC

Out & about with Locus Cache, Travellinbees, HarleyJohn, Earthlight, CPWanderer , Sylken and CPWanderer caching the Shanks Pony and Butchwalking to a Cannon Series.
The group then divided, some caching the whole series while others opted to walk the short distance to the Old Princess Hwy.
Either way, it didn't attempt to rain until our return trip to the cars.
Thanks for the cache CPWanderer.

A great day for a butchwalk with cooling southerly winds and sunny skies (mostly). So I put on my butchwalking shoes and set out to walk this series of caches. I saw lots of kangaroos and birds, adding two new birds to my twitchers list - red-capped robin and brown-headed honeyeater. I also came across many groups of white-winged chough and a group of white-browed babblers.
I also saw lots of sleepy lizards but no snakes (thank goodness). This area is great for walking being mainly flat with not much undergrowth.
Thanks for a series that gave me lots of exercise CPWanderer.

With decent weather being forecast a plan was hatched to do some walking caches today in company with Sylken. Mrs Felix was the designated driver (drop n go) and book reader for the walkers. Although she did manage to walk 1 series today.
Fabulous weather and company, caches in good order and with good co-ords made for a really enjoyable day. (except for the enormous mosquitoes that seemed to follow us everywhere [xx(] )
We saw plenty of goannas, lots of birdlife out and about, some butterflies, kangaroos, and even an orchid on the side of the track.

Geohubby and I have just arrived in Murray Bridge to spend a few weeks tackling the many caches in the area. We were originally booked for the Mega event at Easter but family illness meant we had to cancel at the last minute. We are now able to try to add some more smileys to our tally. We have spent some very enjoyable times with FelixII since they arrived in SA after meeting them at a big event they organised in Busselton WA in 2013.
We were lucky enough to catch up with them again before they move further south, eventually heading for Victoria. Today we tackled a few caches that have been published since they were in Murray Bridge last.
We tallied 45 finds and no DNF's. All caches had excellent co-ords and were in good condition. I apologise for the generic log....I suspect with so many caches to be found around here that there will be many more such logs but we really appreciate all the work, time and effort that has been put into each and every cache by the CO's.
Glorious weather, fantastic company and a tidy sum of smileys made for a very enjoyable day.
Many thanks for the hide CPwanderer [^]

We set off on this series in what looked like a lovely stroll in the park..literally.
Green grass underfoot and lovely trees all around. The grass (well, really a carpet of soursobs) looked well trimmed.
Little did we realise that by the time we did the series to the end (with the couple of extras) and returned to the car that we would have done 11.33kms! We were a little weary by then.
We saw a bit of wildlife: a couple of hares, a number of kangaroos, a gang of monarch birds which seemed to follow us, and numerous currawongs.
Unlike Ferries MacDonald park, there wasn't much in the way of wildflowers, although we did see some gorgeous grevilleas in flower. There were lots of various fungi around. Some having been dug up by creatures unknown. We think that the kangaroos and wallabies eat them, as do bandicoots. But this is at home in Tassie, so not sure if its the same here.
Aren't we lucky that we have access to areas as lovely as this. And aren't we lucky that dedicated cachers like CPwanderer go to so much effort to place caches in these areas to encourage us to come and use them.
Thank you again CPwanderer, a thoroughly enjoyable series and walk.

Drizzly and wet in the hills so decided to head to a dryer clime. This series fitted the bill perfectly. A great series with spot on coords allowing for a pleasant walk. Only saw a couple of kangaroos. Wildlife a bit scarce today. TFTC CPwanderer.
