Woohoo! My first whereigo, after a 45 min failed walk and 15 minute hint with a 6 yo in Tauranga. Great spot and a nice easy find close to sunset. Thank you!Edited to add: part of my successful personal challenge today: logged 9 different cache types in a single day. Woohoo!
Find number 13602 at 12:29:38PM on Sunday the 18 August 2024We're on our way to WA Goes Big, travelling from Croydon (Melbourne, Victoria) with a caravan in tow and making a leasurely caching holiday across the Nullarbor and back.Today we're travelling from Bordertown to Adelaide sightseeing and grabbing a few caches as we go Wherigo solved quickly after an immense amount of prep-work and wandered off to find the final location quickly **Thanks for placing this cache Freddo**---*WOW, so much happening here in Victoria*The Great Victorian Cache Crawl is coming on 17-18 August 2024, this year starting near Melbourne heading up around Echuca and back over the weekend. Today ttrogg picked up the Rat from her nest.We then headed to the Starfish's pond to pick up the Starfish. Then headed over to Murray Bridge for a days caching. We came and took a walk along the bridge.Found the cache and stamped the logbook. Tftc
Time for some more Tuesday Trekking so went and picked up the Rat from her nest and then the Starfish from his pond. Then we headed to today's playing arena, Murray Bridge and the surrounding area. A great day of caching was had, with a nice number of caches found and no DNFs. Most were traditionals but five different cache types were found and this was one of the ones that I wanted.Wandered out to where the co-ords had us and started looking. For some reason the Starfish couldn't remember where he'd found it, something about over 10 years ago. But it still wasn't too long before I had cache in hand and the original log had another 2 stamps added to it. Now to walk a little bit further away from the car to find an almost 15 year old traditional. Thanks to Freddo for adding to the playing field with this cache.Smilie #15198.*This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).*
. and were walking here. and were getting close. but on checking the image, doh light poles are on the other side. and were walking back . and were crossing the road. and were walking here. and that looks more promising. and theres the cache
Another day of caching in SA after attending the mega in Adelaide. What a whirlwind of a week for us as we attack trails with mates, DT, specific types for personal challenges, old caches and just damn good ones. With so much on offer we barely knew where to start but as we headed slowly home we picked up a few more.Another cool Wherigo in a scenic location, an easy find thanks to the spoiler pic. Thanks Freddo for the Wherigo placement.
TFTC. Setting up camp for a week before the MEGA for 29th Feb!Happy caching and safe travels!
I've had this one solved for some time.I've had a previous DNF.I've come back to find the bridge having work done on it.I've now finally found the cache. (Strange no other names in the log book.)TFTC

Decided to do a caching circuit around the hills to clear up the local area on a coolish day, ending up at Murray Bridge at the end of the day. Got back home only to discover I'd completely overlooked the Lab Cache, so I guess I'll get out this way again some time soon. Thanks for the wherigo cache Freddo!
Quick find while muggle husband filled up the car, mini cacher and I went to find this one. TFTC.
A bit cooler today for another round of Murray Bridge caching Celebrated my 6,000 logged geocaches with a manicure and then hit up the local trails. Lots of interesting things to see around this region

The shortest wherigo I have done in a while. It is balanced by the really long wherigo starting right beside it. Quick find.
After a weekend at The Bend it was time to go home but not before grabbing some caches towards the new souvenirs TFTC
We always enjoy a Wherigo and so we downloaded the cartridge so that we could undertake this one today. We enjoyed the stroll to Ground Zero where the cache was quickly located. Thanks so much for the Wherigo Cache - our first in Southern Australia . Greetings from Zimbabwe
Today we visited Murray Bridge. This WIG at the old bridge was very nice. Thanks of the picture I could find the box very fast and write into the logbook.

Out and about on a road trip to Adelaide, I was particularly targeting Wherigo and letterbox caches but there are a lot of other interesting caches to be found, this being one of them.
This was a very simple one, cache found and log signed.

This is my 30th wherigo find....woo frickin hoo! It also signifies that I can finally log a challenge cache in Victoria (ahomburg's) that I signed nearly 12 months ago, now that really is a woo hoo moment.
Today I was out and about with gridge98 finding more Wandering Heroes and a few others on our journey. We stamped most logs "fabulous randoms", but I think I wrote GoodLook in this one.
Thanks so much for the cache Freddo! [^]

While we are on our travels we like to stop and absorb some local ambience and a bit of history as well. There are so many caches available to do and sometimes we just have to make a choice, for whatever reason. So this day held a variety of types as well as different size caches.
This sounded like a wherigo cache that would not be too difficult or take a long time. It was actually easy to find GZ and get the prize. Thanks go to Freddo for creating this cache, which we enjoyed doing. Giving it a favourite point.

Travelling along this road as we were heading west, we stopped to look for this cache and found it. Good wherigo. TFTC.
I headed down to the south-east with gridge98 on a quick, two-day trip to find a few caches.
We had some rather mixed weather, with sunshine, rain, hail and wind at different stages, but most of the time it was good weather for caching.
We also had rather mixed results in terms of caches. There were some interesting hides in some terrific places; some along the beaches, some in the pine forests and others at various scenic or interesting locations. We managed a few lucky FTFs, but also a few disappointing DNFs. But all in all, it was a great trip.
This was a nice, quick wherigo and a quick find, although we started looking on the wrong side of the structure!!
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

We're currently on a road trip from Hobart to Adelaide, spending a few nights staying in Murray Bridge before moving on to Adelaide.
Our first night in Murray Bridge, we found ourselves with an hour to spare in the evening, so we figured it would be a good opportunity to go looking for a few local caches.
One of our goals on our road trip was to try a few different cache types that we hadn't tried before, so this cache (and the other nearby Wherigo GC532XV) were our first two Wherigos ever.
This was a nice easy introduction to Wherigos, and it successfully led us straight to the hide with little fuss.

Out today to do a bit of caching and attend an event after which we headed off with Hevwalker to grab a couple of local caches. We have been joined by Scuzzybear and Jethro, and once we had found the right side of the bridge and Hevwarker had gotten a clue from the CO while he was PAFing, we made the find.TFTC
It was a day of the CITO this morning at Mount Barker, some back streets driving towards Murray Bridge, and then some caches around the area. We had a secondary objective today to find all cache types. This was a key Wherigo for the day.
It was a nice easy Wherigo and helpful to our cache types in the one day challenge. A nice walk across the famous bridge. Many thanks Freddo!

Grabbed the cache easily enough. Then there were muggles... and a beautiful view... and then an aircraft and the discovery of a nearby airstrip on the map... so it took 10 mins to sign the log.
Geez... does the bridge shake enough as vehicles go over it?

We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
Today we drove back to Adelaide from Murray Bridge. Main target for today was Oz Mega 2014 puzzle trails.

On the last day of the year we were on a mission to get our 5000th cache find. We were visiting Mrs C's brothers house in Murray Bridge for New Years celebrations, so we took his kids out for the big find. We still had to find a few around before the milestone, and with them out of the way, this one would be our milestone. A good stroll from the start of the bridge had the cache in hand.

It was a few days ago that Locus Cache suggested a caching trip to Murray Bridge so I could make a start on the Oz Mega Series. A late start meant that it was un likely that I would finish the series, but we could make a start anyway. After spending a few hours cleaning up some specific caches in Murray Bridge central we headed of and made a start on the geo art. Slowely and steadily we made inroads and the find count was going up. How ever it was getting quite late and the decision was made to call it a night. An enjoyable day was had and hopefully I will be back soon.

A great little quick where I go to work through with the kids while holidaying at Murray Bridge. A fabulous bridge too. Thanks Freddo.
Number 1 of 173 in our 16-hour Murray Bridge caching tour. Found at 08:22am.
On 2015 Christmas Day, we spent the whole day caching in the town of Murray Bridge. We did not get to go to the mega event last year, so we came now to pick up some of the many caches here. We left home before 7am and arrived home after half past 2am! What a memorable Christmas Day! Surely nothing like this can happen once we have kids...
This is the first one we did. Cache was easy to find, especially with the spoiler image from the cartridge. Signed logbook and placed it back.

Heading over to Tailem Bend and Murray Bridge to pick up a few smiley face along the way collecting mostly Earthcaches, Letterbox Hybrids, Wherigos and 'Finds by hidden month' I need to fill - Plus any others that are nearby any of the rarer types I'm after in boosting my numbers a little.
After leaving on Home on Sunday I was fortunate to have excellent weather on my side and a great run also traffic wise, which was great as it enabled me to get quite a lot of KM's done and caches done too while on my way to Tailem Bend for the night and get an early start on the trail in Murray Bridge.
After spending the night in Tailem Bend I made an early start at first light to cram as many caches in today as I can. After completing the Geopets series in Tailem Bend I headed over to Murray Bridge to grab a coffee and then do and complete the OZmega series and a few in between before returning back to Tailem Bend for the night.
Was an epic day with 218 caches found and logged!

Project “Centroid” road trip continued today...after a bit of planning Fleabag and I decided to head towards Adelaide again for the long weekend to get 500 or so caches to move our centroid far enough away from home to complete a challenge cache in Melbourne. We managed to get 501 just for good measure.
At the same time we tried to get a few areas of Victoria done on the way there and back to start working on another challenge cache back in Melbourne.
After finishing the Oz Mega 2014 geo-art today, we did a few caches in town and then headed to Adelaide.
This was a nice quick Whereigo, the longest time was spent waiting for walking muggles to leave the area of the bridge we needed to look at.
Thanks for the cache, the puzzles, the hunt and the fun.

It has been a while since we have attempted a WherIGo cache and it took a few minutes to recall how to use our smart phone app. Once that was under constrol, it was a straightforward process to get to GZ where, after a short serach, the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. When looking at these older constructions, we still marvel at the rivet construction techniques - hard work but very strong. The views up the river from the bridge were good this morning. Thanks for the cache Freddo.

Came for a drive to Murray Bridge with Roma123 (#2) and while she completed some business close by I downloaded the Wherigo cartridge and when she had finished we headed for a little walk to GZ.
The spoiler pic certainly helped as the Wherigo only gave me half the coordinates. [?]
As this is a Freddo cache I knew exactly what we were looking for and it was soon found by Roma2.

We thought that it'd be fun to do a Wherigo cache .. that's until we found that neither our Garmin GPSr or Mrs. NiftyBridge's Samsung phone support that handy function. Great!
We then tried to download and get the Wherigo thing to run on our PC but that doesn't work either. Grr!
There must be another way I thought, so we spent some time reading through previous log entries to find some hints. It was pretty easy to work out what structure it was probably on, in or under, but narrowing it down proved a little more difficult. What we lacked in technology, we supplanted with good ol' caching mania. As it turned out, it was only after searching almost all of one side of the thing that we realised that the cache was on the other. At least we got a nice close look at the thing.
Another day and another search (on the other side). This time I skipped a section and concentrated on another part, so as to be less noticeable to passing muggles. I tried to act as though I was checking things, you know, like a you-know-what inspector. Still no luck. When you spend a lot of time looking really close, one side looks much like the other actually.
I re-read the logs, scrutinised the photos, scratched my head and then had another brainwave as to where it might be. Good thing we didn't go on that hunch because we would have been around 100 mtrs out. Instead, I decided to add a little geo-cheating and decrypted the Wherigo package just to see if I could. I'm really not very good at that either but I was able to find the final coordinates after a bit of rummaging through all that squiggly code and whatnot that's in those things. I don't suggest that anyone else do that because that's cheating and I'm ashamed of myself.
Finally, back to the you-know-what and a short walk led us to the correct area. We soon had the cache in hand and signed the log. I hope that's OK. Once I've done the same thing for the 'Oz Mega 2014 geotour' Wherigo I promise never to cheat again (unless we get stuck).
Thanks Freddo. We now know what that thing looks like, like the back of our hands!
We then tried to download and get the Wherigo thing to run on our PC but that doesn't work either. Grr!
There must be another way I thought, so we spent some time reading through previous log entries to find some hints. Found It!
I swear you could not make a cache any easier... The hardest part was the 100m walk from the carpark and that was easy!
Not that it was needed, but the Garmin Monterra with the Wherigo app performed seamlessly.

After being camped at Murray Bridge showgrounds for 2 weeks,
it was time to pack up the caravan and move on.
But not before an early drive to pick up a few caches, which we had been saving.
Downloaded the cartridge, and found our way to GZ.
Cache was found quickly, and in good condition.
Many thanks for the hunt, Freddo.

Thanks so much for placing a where-I-go to give cachers the chance for a different type of cache find. We had a quick, easy find once the cache location had been reached.
Found this while at the Mega event with mudbuzzie. This is our second whereigo cache and this time I had the controls... For a very short time before handing the gadget back to mudbuzzie I'm much better at following along and then joining in the hunt at the end TFTC
Reperio at 0840 with Big Matt and Shell and Farmer Frentzen.
After meeting up with FF and Big Matt during the Oz Mega Event this weekend, we packed up this morning and headed out to do a few local caches before making our way towards Adelaide. We couldn't resist doing this wherigo, and so after finding a good place to park, we wandered along the bridge until we reached the right spot. A short later soon revealed the cache! This was a nice simple wherigo, and highlighted some great history. Enjoyed seeing the photo on the cache page.
Gratias Freddo.

Our 8305th overall find.
Found with FarmerFrentzen and Marcus Vitruvius on our trip to the OZ Mega 2014. This was a very impromptu trip with my manager only approving my leave a week or two out. We managed to snag some cheap flights and met up with MV in SA to have a roaring 3 day tour.
I like this for an idea of a Wherigo, quite simple. I'm glad you included the photo.
Thanks Freddo for the cache.

Don't know about building a bridge but I did walk the bridge to this cache.
The sun has gone down and 3LG and myself are just about to head back home.
