Update from the last cachers log..i went to have a look for this cache today and 100 metres from gz the road is still closed, and you can't get on site as its a construction zone..
Just snuck this easy one in just because the road will be closed for 1 month from February 2nd.
I guess this spot is to help ease our housing crisis which will then aggrivate our traffic crisis.tftc

Didn't stop to look for this one, construction going on all over the place and a digger driver was working right next to where GPS was pointing. Will try again another day. Thanks
Wasn't sure about this one. Looked like GZ was a construction zone. But stood back and looked, and there it was. TFTC.
Quick driveby. Parked in the gateway, although you couldnt do that during the week! Thanks.

Cache was found out in the open with the top lying nearby and logbook missing, only the normal geocaching notice. I put the top back on and placed it inside the concrete pipe nearby (visible) as I wasnt sure where the correct location should have been
Had spent most of the day inside waiting for the rain rain to go away and it didn't, so decided I should at least get a cache today before the weekend was out. Came through just before dark so as hoped it was all quiet at GZ, and a likely place for the cache to be hiding was soon spotted. Cache was found and all was good with the world again for another day. TFTC
After a short hike with a muggle friend in the misty and moody Waitak's today, I decided to try another drive past this cache - every other time I have been past, there has always been hi-viz vested construction muggles nearby, so I've never bothered stopping! But today, the rain had kept them at bay and the coast was clear, so I seized the opportunity and soon had the cache in hand - finally! TFTC!
There was a bit of construction work going on but we still decided to look for #10 just because it was a Sunday and there were no workers on site. Great views of the city from a different perspective, many thanks for a nice hide.
Found originally as part of rebel98 team, now created own account, re-logging as rustynz
Part of the group heading to Bethells for a walk and caching. So big earthworks happening nearby, when we next visit it will be barely recognisable. Thanks again for the hide.

Left mr rebel98 to figure out what button i pushed by mistake on the new gps and for him to work out his new one and headed with mrs rebel98 and the her trusted old unit for a quick catch, was thinking lucky it was quiet and no one around, turned around and up the hill the house owners were standing in the garden looking out, hopefully taking no notice.
Well and truely busted if the people on the hill was taking any notice of this group of three at GZ. We have new GPS versions to play with. So much head scratching whilst we figure out there capabilities. Urbangypsynz is to write me a user manual! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here, its going to look very different when the houses go in.
A quick drive to this cache at night, parked next to the building works going on and signed LB 1 minute later, TFTC and this series BTW.
Drove past earlier this week, but too many construction workings around.
No problem early this morning

last one of the day after a 22k walk, i think it has shifted from its original location, but i'm not entirely sure where that is.
A great view of the city from here; I wonder if the ridge in the distance will remain once the development completes. Thankfully I didn't visit during working hours when it could prove a much more tricky find to make. Thanks!
Nice one in the rain this morning.
What a beautiful view....yellow clay...awesome
cheers V.

I decided today to heed the old saying "Go West, young man, Go West." Well, I'm not that young nowadays but anyway I still went. Another Just Because cache is signed off.
Cheers for the cache.

Another cache with a great view! Pity the weather today so choppy I could hardly walk upright ! I could stroongly smell the earthworked soil and I walked toward gz.

Had to wait a little bit at GZ before the area was clear and made it than a quick grab. TFTC
Out and about today gathering requirements for our full geo-license. This geocache fit the bill!
A very exposed area with all the construction going on! Luckily it was a quick find, and no-one was really looking. TFTC!

Nice quick find. Had to keep an eye out for the Night Watchman at the constrution site. TFTC.

I found this with my dad sorry about the very late log we are doing all my late logs today during the school holidays
I was at home getting the training gear ready for the boys first pre season Rugby League training run when this new cache close to home came up so hoped in the car quickly with Imogen and Levi and were lucky enough to get the FTF.Tftc
We had just got stuck into a cleaning up task when the cache alert sounded. Needless to say it didn't take much to persude us to abandon the chore for a bit of fun. Think we took the long route from Whenuapai to Swanson today, even though we knew exactly where we were going, having been up that road to another cache only a week or so ago. . .
We pulled up at GZ, and found the container pretty quickly. Not FTF today, but happy to have our 2nd FDF for the Geocaching Licence. We travelled further up the road to find a place to turn, and on the way back saw that the digger was now working right beside the fence at GZ. Just in time!
