Came out to new Lynn to do some caching.found this one quickly signed. Paper is damp though. TFTC
Came out this way for donuts this evening, and thought we'd grab a cache while we're here. Thankfully, we were able to park right next to GZ, and could see the cache from the car. A nice easy find on an increasingly popular cache style, TFTC!
Well camouflaged. Hard to be subtle but managed to bob my head in and reach and grab it
Found for leap day at 11.30pm! I had a busy day but was keen for the souvenir, so managed to just slip in. Cache was easier to get to at this time of night but stealth was still needed. Placement of the cache was excellent for a quick slip in - I had a good idea what I was looking for which helped. TFTC
We were out for dinner, saw this was close and dropped in to pick it up. Fun cache! The area has huge amount of glass, rubbish and old nappies, please go carefully. We didn't have our usual kit so didn't pick any up. TFTC
Mr ABCDF4 got this one out in the rainGreat hide but lots of rubbish in the areaThanks
We were hoping for a days caching in Auckland but the weather put paid to this. Decided to do a couple more easy caches before heading home. Parked up close to GZ and Mr ABCDF volunteered to get wet. After finding he came back to the car so we could sign the log. Thank you for the placement. No burgers were consumed in the finding of this cache.
Find #214
Everything is illuminated. Thanks for the clever hide, pity about all the rubbish in the surrounding area.

In the area today and had a bit of time before I needed to head to work so decided to collect a few caches. This one was a bit awkward to get to as the cars are parked very close but decided to chance it and managed to make the find.
TFTC. Nice and easy to locate here. Managed to get to get this on a quiet afternoon after the gym!
The last one today with Squirrelinthemiddle. Tricky extraction dodging muggles, but co-operation got the job done. Thanks.
I lit upon the cache quite easily and being the smallest went in for the retrieval while Coldstream did guard duty. LOTS of rubbish...
This is a clever one. Certain details on it made it look like it wasn’t a cache. I think there may be unhoused people living in this bush though.
Keylev and I were on a mission to really crank up the numbers today. So better get to it!
Quick find here and returned. Magnet was a bit tricky to put back so I apologies if it falls off for the next seeker. TFTC

As luck would have it NZTravellers, B4Dawn and I realised that all our other work and social commitments aligned to give us some free time this week so what better way to put this to use then some afternoon / evening / night caching the WHOLE week!!! This is day 3 so by now the early work starts so that we could finish early and have more afternoon caching time was kicking in but we were not going to let that stop us. Unfortunately both of the NZTs had to pull out of the adventures so it meant only B4Dawn and I were on the caching hunt tonight.
Quick nip into the bushes and cache was soon in hand.
Thanks for the cache.

Thanks for the cache.
tried searching for a good 10 minutes but there was so much rubbish around couldn't tell what would be cache and what's rubbish.
gonna try go back tomorrow.
gonna try go back tomorrow.
As soon as I saw GZ and hint I was pretty sure about what the cache would be like and sure enough I was right. I was relieved because I didn’t want to spend much time searching among all the rubbish. Tftc.
We had breakfast nearby and saw this cache was not far away so walked over to look for it before heading off.
We were very pleased to be here early in the day as we can imagine how difficult it would be during busy times. A real test of stealth.
Fortunately there were very few muggles around and we were able to easily retrieve the cache undetected.
Thanks lokky1 for a great start to our day.

A slight detour on my way home from working Saturday morning. A quick find. Lots of muggles out shopping.
This is one of my rellies' regular, and I think I remember looking once before. I'm not sure if I gave up because of all the garbage, or made an assumption, or it wasn't there. This time it was very obviously there. Replacing without being watched was the hard part. TFTC.
Quick find after lunch at Lynmall. Pity about all the rubbish at gz. Daily cache sorted TFTC
Nice easy find since I've encountered caches like this one before. They always make me smile at how neat they are! TFTC!
Not seen a cache quite like this one before. Nice one. Quiet time of day, pre-work Xmas breakfast find.
Bit of a stretch while pretending to play with the bike, required to retrieve this one.
Well I'll be burgered! Couldn't get at the cache at first as access was blocked by a gardeners truck and trailer... Easy once he had finally moved. TFTC
Boy, what a messy place!
Found cache easy enough, added new waterproof log and took away 2 bags of rubbish and deposited them in BKs bin.

#958. Last month when I came through here I wanted to find this one, but a muggle was parked almost touching the cache and so I couldn't search.
So this time when I came past and saw that the car park was a bit emptier, I used what I learned that time and parked in exactly the same spot as the muggle did. I thought I'd be okay, by opening both the back door and the front door on the drivers side, then these two doors would shield me from any muggles.
However... it was 5:50pm, and there were muggles galore. I guess it was dinner time. And unfortunately I have a very non-discreet bright yellow car. People were parking up right next to me, shining their headlights right onto my car and just sitting there staring and staring. Come on, people! Don't you have anything better to do? Or somewhere to be?
So I just waited, rummaging around in the boot of my car, pretending I was waiting for someone. Eventually, when the people parked nearby walked away, I jumped into action. Looked in the obvious gap, and boy what a LOT of rubbish. I shone the torch in the gap and I could see the cache, but it would require me putting my hands on the ground. I put my hands on god knows what - there was rubbish everywhere.
I wonder if the next person will be brave enough to attempt a Cache In Trash Out??
Anyway... I grabbed the cache, and found it empty. Oh no, now I have to scavenge through the rubbish again to find the log! So scavenge I did. Found the log in its little zip log back amongst all the fast food packets and other trash.
Well, despite the rubbish, that was a fun adventure, and I'm really glad I found it this time. If I didn't have my car parked in exactly the right spot, this would have been a really difficult cache because of the level of stealth required and the level of garbage.
Thank you very much lokky1 for the cache!

Out and about with Gernita for Sunday afternoon to grab a few caches in New Lynn. We have seen a few hides like this so we made short work of it.
We have a hide like this so soon spotted the cache. So much rubbish at GZ including done car number plates! TFTC
A muggle was parked so close to GZ that even if I wanted to I couldn't have searched. Next time.
Knocked this one off after having dinner nearby. Fortunately I could park adjacent to GZ to give some cover from muggles coming and going. Noticed something I’ve seen before when shining a torch in the area and the grab was made soon after. TFTC!!
# 1226 Oh how brave we were venturing out today in the rain and amongst the masses for the last minute pieces to see us through xmas day. This one was decided upon while in the queue at the nearby supermarket. I did the nav and ended up it seems at the wrong hint item. After a couple of sneaky inspections it appeared it was not there but a bit of recalibration by jimmynz in the nice dry car saw us reverse about five meters to another likely item. After a big stretch under the cover of the parked car the cache was retrieved. Have seen one of these containers before so wasn't too stumped. thanks lokky1 for this smilie today. All noce and dry inside too.
Out this way to visit family for the festive season. As we arrived late we were forced to commit ourselves in to the Christmas traffic chaos that was New Lynn. Worse yet we needed a quick cache and we had only a little amount of time to do so. This one seemed to fit the bill very well. We parked up next to a very busy establishment and it was the perfect cover. A quick check to see no one was eating in their cars and we were able to make a quick grab and log with out the muggles seeing us. Thanks for the cache.
Nice quick find. Very used to these kinds of hides in New Zealand. Unfortunately no time for a burger. TFTC.
Managed to park right next to and and open car doors to provide sheilding from muggles.

Still busy this evening, but after waiting out several muggles, made a quick find, cheers
Came over here this morning to grab this one to continue my daily streak (Day #490) Looked "into" GZ and figured gotta get in there. It is really in need of a CITO. Nice quick find after that complete with baby cockroaches. TFTC and find #2525
Despite being one of the closest caches to home it has taken me a couple of years to get to this one. Guess I have been saving it up for the right occasion, and what better than the first cache of 2018.
Log book is full and in need of a replacement.

After I couldn't find it, we had to wait for some people eating in their car for hayleyfcy to look. She got it straight away. I'm off my game I think.
Michaelteacher attempted this but we thought it might be better to move our car right next to this. And then we had to wait out some muggles eating in their car looking straight at us. I made the dive in as soon as they left and made a quick find as we had seen these before so I knew what to look for. Geez, there's more trash in here than at the CITO event we were at this morning! Tftc
Wow cool place for a cache taking the boys shopping and found this ad well TFTC.
Had a rummage around at GL however so much rubbish it could be anything - will come back another day.
I'm sure it's here somewhere starring at me

It is sometimes handy having the geohound with you to cause a distraction. Nice hide and a handy places shuttle bus disguising the entrance.TFTC
Heard good things about the Brick Lane restaurant. Found the location quickly although getting to the cache was a little more challenging. Well hidden. TFTC.
Awesome little cache! Still very new to geocaching so took me a little while to spot it! TFTC
Had a fair idea what to expect and yes, that was it. Scratched myself getting to GZ - trickiest bit was avoiding the muggles. Parked near the burger king car park where a man in his 60s was chomping down on a burger and fries while dancing with some abandon in the car park much to the chagrin of his friend. Whatever he's having, I'm staying away from. In the end quick find. TFTC.
Another find on the wander out west with evilno9 - keeping lookout while he found it nice and quick. TFTC
I'm often around here sampling the various food options available but never been in a position to grab this without looking more dodgy than usual. Finally had the chance to swoop in today and go for the find, and with LikeTips running decoy the cache was soon in hand and we were back in the car in no time. TFTC
checked on this today for a DNF , whom contacted me sorry I cant seem to reply to your message, but cache is in place and is not as you guessed
After a nearby event, thought it would be a good time to find this one. Well it was quite but had to wait for a worker finished for the night to be picked up, as he was waiting in full sight of GZ.

Stopped at BK on our way home tonight and remembered that coincidentally (honestly) there was a cache in the carpark. Quickly honed in on where we thought it was but there were too many people around. The cache gods suddenly shone down on us and the 2 lurkers nearby disappeared and a car pulled out of the carpark right next to where we thought gz was. Unfortunately it started to rain when we pulled up, but I had a hoodie so I jumped out and made a quick find and back in the car to sign. Returned quickly and the job was done. TFTC
Came back for a second go at this one after having too many muggles about last time. Just been to see a brilliant NZ film, Hunt For The Wilderpeople, at the local cinema. Nice to finally get the smiley. TFTC.
Parked nearby then did a quick circuit around to see if I could spot the cache. Grabbed what I thought was the cache and headed back to the car...er, no that is not the cache, its a standard bolt...
Headed back, replaced the bolt and spotted the real cache. Took it back to the car to sign. TFTC

And found it I did.... had to make a couple of visits as people over here like to sit in the dark in the car park eating burgers etc. looking at GZ ... random.... so on my third visit they dark sitters had moved on and a park was right beside GZ making the find here a very much easier one to hide from mugglers that were everywhere tonight being a late night shopping night.

DNF looked everywhere at a time when the carpark was quite early this morning but no luck find cache. Might be missing, moved or taken
Please check or replace cache. As this early this morning when the carpark was quite. I looked everywhere but couldn't find the cache. Thank you
Gradi3nt took me to the location near the cache and asked me to keep my eyes open. Thankfully we've figured the trick to this cache and could find it. Approaching it was a bit hard, so was glad he has long arms. Pretty busy with the Burgerlane nearby even in the wee hours of the morning. TFTC
#1599. Out early today picking up a few caches before the rain sets in and gets a lot worse. Surprised by how many parked cars were in this area at this time of day on a Saturday in the New Year period. Luckily none of these was close to the GZ but had to look closely at nearest cars to see if any had muggles sitting inside. Once it looked all clear I dashed in and grabbed the cache which I had seen as I approached the GZ. Signed the logbook in the car and managed to return the cache by a different route. Hopefully no muggles were watching on from a distance but I can see it could be tricky here at times. Thanks for the hide. Glad I have seen a few of this type previously. Cheers GSEL
On the way home with Okayness after Christmas dinner & took a small detour. Have been here once before but there were Muggles in a car next to GZ. No problem on Christmas night as the carpark was empty!. Quick find. TFTC
Yay! found this one this time round - still heaps of rubbish around GZ, but at least there was no rotting fish and parking muggles
Found with Cache King nz and Fire'n'Ice
Thanks for the cache!

Up this way today, so better grab some caches while here,
had a feeling what I would be looking for, as I wandered around GZ, I was eyeing up the scene, yes, yes ,yes, so once on correct side to access it was a Quick grab and sign, yes seen many of these, have one myself to use, TFTC

Actually, my 2nd take on this one, last time I couldn't spot the cache for unknown reasons. Either the placement was different or I was just blind because I definitely looked right there where I found it today.
Maybe it's the fault of burger burglars.
Thanks for the cache!

Out for some night caching and decided this would be a good one to look for. I've seen this type of camo before so the cache was quickly in hand. TFTC!
There was a group of cachers picking this up after the event, as I still had not got this despite being here on several other occasions. The others were quickly in the correct place and soon had the cache in hand. TFTC

Went out with the crowd from the nearby meet up and loitered in the carpark to get this one. No need for high vis when you have a crowd
Too many more meetings near this cache, Lokky and you'll be needing lots of log paper! Found this previously under Pazzabella's name. Tftc
#359 After the Event Auckland Monthly catch-ups - November a few of the Geocachers who had not done this cache made a move one the GZ. Well it was only about 50 meters from the event so a few steps. Discretion when out the window as we formed enough of a mob to distract any of the muggles nearby.

How many cachers does it take to find a cache? A few after an event it would seem. I was initially fooled by an unintentional decoy but the real one was quickly in hand.
Nice weekday afternoon caching in the area. Most people were busy doing their own thing. Nice camo. TFTC.
