Despite braving "Blair Witchesque" conditions we were unable to pick up the trail. Other than this one little guy as a confirmation we were in the right spot.

TreeTrack2 and Dromaniax decided that the long weekend represented a perfect opportunity to cache South Australia. After work was over for the day, it was a case of packing the fill-in geomobile, the Black Squid and hitting the road Jack. We won't be back until we have found around 500 caches.

We have prepared well for the weekend with plenty of target caches in our sights. We are looking for old, large, and virtual caches and all the while intending to increase our average D and T for finds.

Most of our logs will be generic, as there will be many of them.

We thank all cache owners for their time and effort in creating caches for our entertainment. Unless otherwise specified, we found all caches in great condition.

Thank you from Dromaniax and JTreeTrack2.

All caches signed as JTT2 DX.

We enjoyed this Night cache, but at times we found it quite frustrating as many of the rocks have lost their coating, and some have been overturned. We would have loved to have done this cache in its heyday.

Staying in Mt Barker with iluvtrekking for long weekend. Out caching around Murray Bridge and enjoying the views. After a big day caching we decided to do the night caches on the way out of town. Even though it’s been some time since this one last had a visit, the w/p’s and cache are all in good order. Thanks for the hide Frozen Feet.

Found with ricklink as part of our 2022 South Australian Adventure.

We tackled this night cache on our way back to our caravans in Mt Barker, my goodness it was cold for us West Aussies. Thanks to the aptly named CO Frozen Feet.

EsromL and I headed out today for a walk and a few caches along the way. We timed it to take advantage of the early darkness at this time of the year so we might attempt the night caches out this way.

After completing another night cache nearby, we had a go at this one.

The trail wasn’t too difficult to follow, although there were a couple of small ‘gaps’ where we couldn’t readily find a marker. However, by searching a slightly broader area, we soon picked up the trail again and the cache was found in good order.

We really enjoyed this night cache, with the rock markers providing something a bit different (and probably a bit more durable than firetacks). We also discovered a ‘slenderman’ laying on the ground near the start, which we left propped up against a tree.

Thanks Frozen Feet for a different type of night cache. A favourite point from me.

Spending the day in the Monarto area grabbing a lot of caches that are filling my map TFTC

Once I had my eye in to what to look for found it. Some of the rocks were upside down.

25-Jul-18
A last minute decision to do some night caching, and since rain wasn’t in the forecast, we decided to head to Monarto to target a few specific night caches with gridge98.

Following the rocks made this multi-cache pretty cool. We found the less light, the better, so my dull headlamp was preferred. No issues with this multi-cache, and the logbook and cache were in great condition, thanks!

25-Jul-18
Made the last minute decision to come out this way to the manarto region to do some of the night caches and pick up some other caches whist our here. Mostly easy finds for us. These 4 night caches are really cool and I really enjoyed them TFTC

This is a great night cache. We had so much fun discovering the trail. TFTC

Tricky due to one rock missing most of its paint but the Baker geo husband found the prize! Dropped a TB for anyone brave enough to come out!

10-Jun-18
Tonight is the night we are attempting our first night geocaches! We are headed out with our best friends family4p. Upon finding the first marker we were off and running but one rock had us stumped and the trail went cold for a minute but the boys were onto it and the trail was soon back on! We loved our wander through the bushland at night. No scary animals to shake us! Cache was soon in hand and log signed!
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find. A fave point coming your way.

10-Jun-18
Rocks given a bit of a spruce up spray, all good otherwise.

05-Apr-17
We arrived after sunset to tackle the three night caches in the area. After getting to the posted coordinates, a quick scan around revealed the closest of the rocks which got us started on the trail. The majority of rocks were easy to locate but some had either been turned over or partially covered by leaf litter making them more difficult to see. After following the trail for a short distance, we got to GZ where we were able to make a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Frozen_Feet for the cache.

This was the final night cache and cache for the day. Unfortunately we only found the first three rocks. We searched for a while but could not find the trail that would lead us to the final destination.

SPECTACULAR!!!!!!!!

Who knew night time caching could be so much fun?!!! I was fortunate enough to go out with 2 experienced cachers and another newbie - lots of laughter, lots of questions asked and answered, so cool that I wanna do it all over again!!!

Fortunately I'd just put fresh batteries in the torch, it served well whilst completing the 3 night time caches here.

The rocks were at times hard to see/find, but it was still an easy, fairly quick, but enjoyable cache to find.

TFTC Frozen Feet - REALLY COOL and soooooo much fun!!

I absolutely could not see any of the reflective objects.... Luckily I had H423L's keen eyes to help me out. I also discovered spider's eyes are reflective..... There were a lot of spiders! Couldn't get out of there quick enough! TFTC!

Time for a cache maintenance run along the wandering heroes trail in cahoots with Aussie M&M, CP Wanderer and Clare007. Cool That done it was off to the Loxton Pub for lunch. [^] That done it was time for repay CP and grab a few he needed and a few more besides.Wink
On the way to pick up CP and Aussie M&M, Clare007 and I had passed 17 potential FTF's in the Walkies series. After a full day of caching, we had dropped them back off but a quick check showed only #1 to #6 had been logged as yet. So Clare007 and I snuck into the closest, t number 13 and by torchlight discovered that we were 4 hours too late. Twisted If only we had stopped 14 hours earlier! Smile The others can wait.
There were 3 night caches nearby that Clare hadn't done. I had already done 2 but wanted to complete the set. We did all three, this one second.
Boy, this was by far the hardest. We lost the trail a couple of times and had to go back and re-find our last waypoint. But hey, we had already been caching all day so were determined not to give up. Eventually we managed to find GZ and I can cross this one off, Smile and sleep.
Thanks Frozen Feet for capping off a great day. Big Grin

06-Jan-16
brisal5 & I continued on, finding the first waypoint quite easily.
We kinda lost the waypoints after the third and had to re-trace our steps.
(Thank goodness for my guide)
The conditions were perfect, not a wisp of wind and was nice and mild.
Some tricky searching, thanks for the adventure Frozen Feet

29-Aug-15
Out for a spot of night caching with the Double Helix Clan, we arrived at GZ and began a lengthy search for a glimmer of reflectivity. Moving in ever widening circles, a previous log gave us a hint about which way to head. Eventually we found a rock with a speck of what might have been reflective paint but with clear signs of previous human intervention. This was all we had and so we moved further along this line. In time we found more fragments of clues that eventually drew us further along and then we found what we were looking for. TFTC Frozen Feet! Smile

07-Aug-15
Whilst planning our caching weekend trip to celebrate our 365 day streak, which happened to be the 7th of August, we decided to head down to the Monarto area for a few night caches via a kayak at Mannum :c) A nice quiet, still night to tackle some caches. This was the hardest night multi cache we have tackled. At the starting coordinates we were pretty sure we found the first reflecting rock… but did not know where to go from there! We spread out for about half an hour, trying to find the reflecting rocks… but nothing shown back :c( so we decided to head over to the next multi… when… whats that shiny rock on the ground? There… there is another one! We luckily managed to find the faint trail of reflecting rocks to earn another smiley :c) TFTC!!

25-Jul-15
Yayy more night caches. This one was a little hard to tackle as most of the rocks had lost their reflective coating - but we spread out and searched until we found the rocks and the cache!

24-Jul-15
I can imagine this cache would be really awesome! Most (all) of the reflective paint has worn off the rocks with time and we were hunting the rocks without it. This still made for an enjoyable (but hard) hunt Smile
Thanks for the effort put in here! Wink

Please find attached the graphics for the award wins, we would love for these to be displayed on the cache page.

In the darkness of the night we enjoyed ourselves. The rocks themselves are losing their "spark", but it didn't detract from the awesome journey to the GZ. Thanks so much! Very Happy

[blue]Congratulations this cache has reached the voting level for the SAGA Awards 2014. Please find attached graphic for reaching the final voting stage of the Awards.

17-Jan-15
Out of the three night caches, this was the most challenging one. After 160 caching teams having travelled through this part of the forest, the paint on the rocks is starting to lose its power a bit. Still, I managed to stumble my way through the darkness and you can't mistake where GZ is.
Logbook got signed and the Slenderman was awaiting me.
Thanks for another great night cache FF!

#4171

We just finished follwoing the trail of dangerous Aussie animals and then moved onto this one. It still wasn't completely dark but we managed to locate the trail with Mr C's fabulous "Makes Night Day" pocket torch. Loved the time and effort taken to put this trail together! There were a fewa times there when we had to really look around to locate the trail (only due to it not being fully dark yet) but we got there in the end. This is the first night cache that we have completed that doesn't involve little reflectors.

TFTC Frozen Feet another favourite point from us!

We stood at GZ and then the first one was spotted and we were of on the chase. A big thanks for all the effort put into this cache, certainly different and unusual. The first of this we have done. SL TFTC

Yet another delightful night cache. If it weren't for the fact that Dad and I were the only ones with torches, and mum was carefully carrying the iPad and cache booty box, we'd have probably zipped madly around from marker to marker like a crazy ziggy zaggy bush dash, but a couple of timely reminders from mum that her torchless state meant we should wait for her, and we were soon sedately strolling from marker to marker enjoying the scenery Wink and making sure no one suffered from a tumble over the terrain.

I had a lovely time out caching with Sylken and really loved this night cache. FP from me Smile

Geohubby and I are staying in Murray Bridge for a few weeks hoping to find some of the many caches available. Our geodaughter 'KAROPI' joined us last weekend and suggested we try some night caches. None of us have ever attempted them before and with three nearby night caches and all with many favourite points it was an opportunity too good to miss.

We were very glad we had some nice bright torches to pick up the reflecting rocks and were soon following the trail. Another excellent idea for a night cache. We really enjoyed it. Another cache to go on our 'awaiting a favourite point' listBig Grin

Many thanks again Frozen Feet[^][^][^]

[center]8005. [green] I asked winglen on our way back to Canberra what the highlight cache/caches were for this trip and we couldn't really think of any. Over 800 caches in 6 days will do that to you I suppose. Well now that I'm logging all the finds the memory is jolted and these three were very special particularly as we did them at the end of a very long day.

Lots of work, thought, planning and execution put in to these night caches and the effort was well appreciated. Wish we had time to come back in the daylight to see how these rocks looked. Very well done.

Thanks for the cache [blue]Team Wibble[/blue] and the series.[/green][/center]

07-Jul-14
Found this whilst on a caching run with McPhan to SA, leaving our 'McWin' stamp as we went.

There were very few multis selected for this trip but McPhan insisted these three were 'in', and very glad he did. Despite 200 caches and 12 hours behind us since starting today, these were a highlight (no pun intended!). Whilst the rocks didn't show up very well compared to the sister caches, there were plenty of them and they were easy to follow.

Thanks Frozen Feet for the cache.

06-Jun-14
Took us a little while to get started on this one but once we'd found the first couple of rocks we were on our way. Soon enough the cache was in hand. Another favourite point for Team Wibble, purely for the amount of effort put into setting up this multi. TNLNSL. TFTC.

18-May-14
Team Wibble, you never disappoint me. You always put a massive amount of effort into your cache's and I have loved finding every single one of them! This cache deserves a favourite point!

We remained in the area after a day of cahcing just to see these night caches that we had heard so much about. They didn't disappoint.

21-Apr-14
Still just a little shaken by our experience with the nearby creepy critters our little group (Everlasting, Jacaro44 & Felix II + Mr Ozjeeper) pushed on through the bush and one of our torches soon had a reflecting stone in it's beam.

A serene stroll through the bush at night following a path of glowing stones was just what we needed after having just completed the terrifying, nerve-racking cache-find nearby.

It's certainly different caching by torchlight as you become attuned to only what can be seen in the light of your torch. The end of the trail was soon reached, the likely hiding-spot spied and the cache logbook was duly signed by all.

Well done Team Wibble for another unique caching experience that well-deservs another Favorite Point from us.

Now we're all off to try for 3 out of 3!

Our last full day in Murray Bridge today and we decided to take it easy after all the rushing around that we have been doing during the Oz Mega. [^]

Headed out midmorning to tackle some shopping and lunch. But of course just had to find our cache fix for the day.

During lunch we got an offer from Everlasting to join her and Jacaro44 to tackle some night caches. How could we refuse such great company.

On arrival at the parking point a car was leaving with Oz Mega flags on. We realised they were trying to talk to us and turns out it was Oz Lurker and they had not found the access point. We soon joined forces to tackle these caches.

Great fun in a group.

TFTC A fave from us.

What a neet way of laying out a night cach. Very well done
Found with family (shrek 4) on a night trek.
Thanks for a very interesting cache

21-Apr-14
An intrepid troop from the West, namely FelixII, Everlasting and jacaro44 were about to enter the dreaded night forest when the troop was fortified and strengthened by the joining of forces with Team OzLurker. The magic stones were quickly spotted and tracked through the forest, past the slumber Drop Bear nests and onwards to their gathering where the cache was spotted and signed by all.
Thanks for great night cache Team Wibble.

21-Apr-14
This one has us stumped for awhile until the 'ah ha' moment.

Followed the trail until Mrs Shrek stopped us all suddenly pointing to the ground. She had spied some 'other reflectors' being the eyes of a spider. Does she not know how much I hate spiders?? Now I'm too busy looking at the ground.

Then arriving at the GZ another shout from Mrs Shrek this time aimed at geodaughter (2) who has her ear very close to the tree the cache is hiding. Looking up I spy the cache guardian. Suffice to say I didn't go near that container.

Quietly, carefully the log book was signed and cache returned.

Another quality Team Wibble cache! Thanks guys!

Met up with Burton's and 'scargoes for some night caching, something we rarely do [|)].
This series of three were the first on our list and we enjoyed how they flowed, one to the next Cool..
Enjoyed how the rocks lit our way to the cache, like someone who lost the diamonds from the soles of their shoes Wink.

Thanks again Team Wibble.

We had just found the Vampires night cache with a large group from the Mega event, and then walked to the starting point for this one. There was a lot of light about, so we had to kill some of the torches to try to see the reflection in the dark. We eventually saw the first marker and we were off, with a bunch of excited kids leading the way. Another great experience and a favourite. Thanks

#86 found in my Oz mega trip with frankiewan1117, TFTCSL. Joint force with other cachers calmed me down a bit. With the help of their high performance torches, we are able to ink the log easily.

20-Apr-14
Found it at the last night in the mega event. This one is a little bit difficult. The reflecting rocks are not easily seen as the bears. However, teamwork makes perfect. Found the cache quickly still finally. Enjoy this cache so much.

TFTC! Greetings from Hong Kong!

Out caching with Disc and 'scargoes with a plan to do all 5 night caches.

#2,753

The middle leg of our night caching trifecta.

This one used a different concept for marking the track, one that was harder to pick up. But the kids in front seemed confident that they had the right path, so I just followed them along.

And it all worked out, they led us straight to the cache.

Thanks Smile.
