I'm assuming because it was placed in 2014...it no longer exists. The buildings look new as if they've undergone renovations.

Away for a few days with Featherwaite and Team Astro.

The plan was to get all the whyalla caches as well as the FTF series and the FITG caches.

Nearly got them all, just a few left for next time.

Good to clear a dnf from our last visit to Pirie.

Failed on an earlier attempt here in November 2021 with Team Waldron, resorting to leave the find for another visit. Passing through town with Team Waldron again today on our way to a few days around Whyalla, we detoured for a search, successful this time! I don't get to Port Pirie very often so it's great to plug away at finding the local caches. Thanks for the cache demon41!

06-May-22
Too complicated for us to follow new co ords

29-Apr-22
If your coordinates took you to the sign , they may be the old original ones, they replaced the sign with a aluminium one, so it needed a new home, the hint tells you it's location, if you park in the dentist car spot you can see it from the car. Cheers.

29-Apr-22
Coordinates changed from:
S 33° 10.332 E 138° 0.600

Coordinates changed to:
S 33° 10.326 E 138° 0.605

Distance from original: 44.5 feet or 13.6 meters.

Sat the GPS unit right on top of the cache, was reading 3 mts out, ?????. So did a edit, but you can see it from your car if you read the hint,

28-Apr-22
At gz which took us to sign then went back to colourblind fence where pipe is and felt under and around nothing there, it may have been moved

28-Apr-22
Visiting family in Port Pirie so thought I would grab a few caches while here. Got to gz which took us to the sign and searched all over top, bottom and behind and no mint tin to be found rang a fellow Port Pirie cacher who said it should be where I am looking but sadly nothing. May need co maintenance.

21-Nov-21
Checked this one out today, Looks like the place has just been painted and some one shifted the cache onto a fence about 9mtrs away, the hint is the clue,
Now back in correct place, Cheers,

Used everlasting co ords to find this one. Cache is all good

After staying in Port Pirie last night, today Davidwazza and I set out to clean up port Pirie before making a long detour via Jamestown to gawler for an evening event. We had a few targets with a 2001 cache near Jamestown to collect and a few others. All up 68 finds for the day.

Thanks for the cache

15-Aug-20
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a quick overnight trip to Port Pirie. The plan was to geocache around the town, and then head across through to Jamestown via Gladstone and Caltowie in order to find a unique hidden month oldie cache nearby. We then joined the geocaching community at the Gawler dinner event.

Today, we got up early and spent the first half of the day travelling around Port Pirie. A few highlights were the views of the lead smelters, the historic main street, and wetlands. Once a bakery lunch was had, we headed east, and found a few geocaches in Gladstone, Caltowie, and Jamestown. We then left some time to visit Bundaleer Forest Reserve for the 05/2001 hidden cache, as that was my last remaining available South Australian Jasmer grid caches. We then drove the few hours south to the international geocaching dinner Gawler event, before heading home.

A quick find here once we realised to use Everlasting's coordinates for GZ: S 33° 10.325' E 138° 00.602'. The hint also made sense too. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks demon41 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Have just checked cache, still there ,you can see it from the car. re read the hint, it say's Pipe ( Not Post) Down, , I see where you have been looking , (cap on post) is was originally on the old sign, they replaced it with a aluminium one so had to find a metal place.
Have redone the coords , were only 003 out, Happy hunting,

2 of 5 Finds, 1 DNF's on this run

2553 Total Finds

Havin' a bit of a prowl with the missus about town today after some business for the family. Was a bit muggly as we got there right at quitting time. I searched the obvious place that my GPS kept bringing me back to, but no joy. Looked at another target, but too many muggles about to check that one without being extremely obvious. Even went back to the first target and did a finger sweep after removing the cap, but no joy, still. Thanks for the hide, but a bit too muggly to find this one while we were there.

No joy on this one today.

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children.

In an effort to get to find #5000 at Millicent, we have to speed up and slow down our caching rate.

We set up camp in Port Pirie, and it started raining, so all caches were in and out and between showers...

Uncooperative today, per the clue, we took the cap off, but think cache is missing - or has disappeared down the pole.

Found after looking around for a bit as the coordinates given were put in the Garmin which then took us to a sign which was a few meters away from where we found the actual cache.
Thankfully we now have a smiley face on our map

Hi there demon41.

We found your cache **"Be Cooperative."** at 12:13:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 16062).

Our trek today took us around Port Pirie following the "next closest" route plotted by the GPS. On our trek we found a variety of container types. We ended up finding 17 caches with 2 DNF's.

Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

###Trip to the *Red Centre Experience* 2017###

Unfortunately, half of our team is home-based due to work commitment, the other half is lucky enough to be Alice Springs bound, in the company of Team Indiana08. Therefore, for a couple of weeks, our team will be attending some events and possibly finding the odd cache in different states.

---

In Port Pirie for a short break and a few caches. This was one on our list for today.

Alice trip 2017. Day 4. Today was the day I caught up with Sol de Lune and LuckL10n in Burra. We joined forces for the journey to Alice Springs. Today was a short trip to Pt Augusta collecting plenty of caches along the way. It was very busy in the car park, but no problems getting the cache.

Thanks.
