The description, last log, an empty plinth surrounded by chains and deserted building all make me think the concealing object (field gun?) has been removed and that this cache should probably be archived.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
So happy to say that we got the little brighter on the second attempt. (16 days apart before and after trekking the Larapinta)
Was really over thinking this one.
It was clearly visible, was looking straight at it and then realised it!
Great camo on this weapon.
TFTC and the challenge.
Oh and by the way, this RSL business went into receivership on 17/5/17.
So meals are definitely off!

Tagging along with the "Rats" on holidays has it's advantages, not only do we get to see our cool country but we also get to do a heap of caching as Dad just can't help himself and has to stop at every cache he can.
Heading across Australia on nearly every dirt road possible we stopped and found your cache as part of our adventure and for that, I thank you! Sorry about the log being a "cut n paste" but tthats just because we stopped at so many caches.

The Rats and mini rats found this cache as part of our Purposeful Meander across Oz where we visited every mainland state in 8 weeks.
Apologises for the late log in some cases but we are only just catching up on our logging now that we have arrived back home. Your cache makes up many of the great memories we now have from the adventure. The faceplate style log doesn't detract from the experience we had finding the cache.
Thanks

Very quiet around here today.
We thought 'Oh, No.. Not one of these.'
A good hide which was discovered in good
time.

we found a range of caches some day with Team Cracker, Felix II and firesafe on the way home.
Thanks to griffs90 for placing the cache for us to find.

Took a while - we were filling time waiting for The Ghan did ANZAC hill one and saw this near by TFTC
Isn't it funny how some days you can just walk right up to it and bingo!! Haha....I'm glad I never have to see this gun again lol...8m out when I came this time and I'm pretty sure it's suffered a lot of cache creep over the red centre time. TFTC. I hope the poor old RSL can recover. What a shame.
TFTC 2482# out and about with muggle sister and geo dogs sad that I cant take geo dogs on some of the walks on way to SA ,VIC,NSW, and back to QLD
I've had a couple of half hearted cracks at this one, and I thought today with the RSL closed down (sad) it'd be a good time to have a better look....empty handed again.
Back in Alice again with the muggle hubby for a business trip this time. He's having a rest so time for me to go caching
Found with PAF! Too difficult without their instructions. Was here earlier but muggles were waiting for their lift.
TFTC griffs90 and for taking me here. Glad to get a smiley finally.

Find No: 5991. Visiting from Newcastle, staying at Big4 courtesy of NRMA awaiting new engine for the Mighty Prado, second attempt at this one, thanks for the cache griffs90!!
Found with dghoffy. Arrived at GZ and with a few groans of despair started the search for the nano. Luckily the little blighter was soon spotted and log extracted and signed. Thanks for the hide.
Our final caching day in the Territory. We hustle back to Alice to return the Geo-Mobile Home and spend our final night in a Motel before flying out to Adelaide tomorrow morning. We found 12 caches in the way from Ululu and four in town before dinner at the RSL.
What fun we had here. After dinner we went outside to search for it. We were joined by a coupe of RSL members who took very kindly to the placement, and the art of geocaching. They constantly revisited the hint and previous logs with us, but it wasn't until Mrs RoddyC came out that the cache was found. But we do not beleve that it was where it was originally placed - pfuture hunters be aware that you DO have to cross the chain to find it in its current hiding place.
Log signed & replaced again. Found at 8.30pm on 19th April 2017. TFTC. griffs90

Day 4 - Out and about tidying up a few town centre caches with Jezza_theGeoKid - TFTC Found by other cacher as 17 were looking at once
Found it with TICE [Hiltsu, J&T, kapeka & laalaa]
We had fun with caching few weeks here in Australia ( South Australia and Northern Territory ). Lots of geocaches and many sort of them too. We saw awesome places, weather was good all the time and people were friendly and polite. Caches were pretty similar like in our home country. Of course there were some exeptions. Nice and huge country!

Mr Crackers was going to be busy this afternoon getting ready for the fireworks for tomorrow night so Mrs Crackers spent the afternoon caching with maccamob.
We guessed correctly what we would find here and we were indeed correct, we did give it the ten minute rule but fortunately Mary came up with the goods in half that time, so happily our name is now in the log.
Thanks grifs90 for the cache.

Found on our Red Centre Experience. What an epic this one was! We were initially going to skip finding this, however we had been given some small hints by some new geocaching friends from the Mega. We arrived at GZ and took part in 15min of searching before another 17 people turned up! Eventually, one of us finally came up with the goods - AWESOME HIDE! This was so well painted and so well hidden, very well done! A memorable experience with an iconic hide - now, it was time for a ginger beer inside the RSL! TFTC griffs90 (again)!
The weather is bit hot today. .6th day caching with geo-friends from Melbourne, Perth, NSW & QLD - . Had a swim in the pool - water was very cold but beautiful Attended the closing ceremony.
Fireworks was awesome. Happy Easter to all Geocachers. Thanks to griffs90 for the cache.

Day 4 of the Mega and on foot to clean up caches around the CBD.
Perfect timing as another group had the cache in hand and this type of hide is always time consuming.

Did I tell you how much we Hate Nanos?????? With much trepidation we arrived at GZ and grumbled as soon as we saw the gun. Another frustrated geoocaher was already there "Phoning A Friend". He asked if we minded and we said "No go right ahead". So with some additional info find was made. Did I tell you how much we Hate Nanos?????? Someone should blow the Bloody Nano Factory Up!!!!! TFTC
Another nice day for a bit of sight seeing and geocaching. Found this cache with the help of a couple of other teams. Thank goodness they were there as I spent ages looking for it the other day! Signed the log, TFTC!
We are definitely not fond of caches on guns. After searching for a while unsuccessfuly, another cacher came along who knew we had been there for a while and offered some helpful advice. Heeding that advice we managed to find the little blighter. We were signing the log as the next cachers arrived so they supplied a new log as the old one was overfull. Thanks to griffs90 for this frustrating cache.
Tice (Team Ice: laalaa, J&T., Hiltsu and kapeka) in Australia. Sun was shining and we had fun. Today we drove around Alice Springs.
Thanks for the cache.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, with no success. Another team arrived, still no luck. A PAF lifeline was called, making a considerable lessening of search area. It was not until a couple more teams arrived, that this sneaky little guy was in hand. A team effort.
**FEEDBACK TO CO:** Not sure why this cache is carrying a 'Needs Maintenance' icon (Attribute) - everthing looks A-OK. Have a read of this Help Centre article: [Remove the “Needs Maintenance” icon](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=404)
Thanks griffs90 for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

This cache was found on our Great Central Australia Road Trip 2017. We drove from Mandurah, Western Australia to Yulara-Uluru and Alice Springs, Northern Territory, via the Great Central Road, to attend the Mega Geocaching Red Centre Event over the Easter weekend. We returned to WA via Coober Pedy, Flinders Ranges and Eyre Highway. We drove the GeoPajero 7200km in 16 Days (school holidays: TTW needs to get back to school, although he would like to return to Coober Pedy as an opal miner).
1 stone chipped windscreen
2 near misses with kangaroos
Road obstacles encountered: Horses, camels, cattle, lizards, snakes and countless species of birds.
A whole group of cachers joined us in the search. Eventually located to much relief (hot work in the Alice sunshine).
Thanks for the cache. SL. All in good condition.

Team ICE on a two week geocaching trip in Australia. Our main target was the Red Centre Experience at Alice Springs but of course we did some caching in other places too. We drove from Adelaide to Alice Springs and then back. We saw lots of interesting and beutiful places like opal mines at Coober Pedy, Ayers Rock and Kata Tjuta. Our rental travelled almost 6500km on gravel and tarmac roads. The weather was great, only on last day we got some rain.
All the caches logged as Team Ice, T-ice or Tice with kapeka, laalaa and Hiltsu. We had a great trip!
We spent three days caching around Alice Springs. This is so different area than bushy flat desert around it. Lots of beautiful places to see. Truly Red Centre Experience for us.

Caching my way from Adelaide to Alice Springs via Uluru for the Red Centre Experience event. Today was day five and our first full day in Alice Springs. After a quick coffee and meetup with people at event GZ, my travel companions AlphaDeltaIndigo, Moneydork, semik and I grabbed everything we could.
Not sure I would have ever found this one, but luckily semik was on hand and after a few minutes had located this little cache.
This was find number 8 of 19 for the day for me. TFTC griffs90!

Caching in the Alice Springs and Eastern MacDonnell ranges region for the long, long weekend all thanks to the Red Center Experience geocaching event in Alice 13-17th April 2017. My apologies for a generic log, but I'm notorious for not logging my caches. I am just trying to get up-to-date so someday I can celebrate milestones again. cheers and thanks to all for their efforts to make the hide findable and most in a location worthy of a visit without geocaching (but I'm glad I got a smiley too!)
Found by Mary & David at 1515. Hate 'em in rocks, and hate 'em on guns. Luckily we found it after a couple of minutes. Our thanks to griffs90.
Found with little red shoes. SL TFTC
Bit of a group effort, few people scratching their heads. But finally came up with the goods.

Now that was a tough one. I spent about 30 minutes earlier in the day looking for this one with no luck. Talking to a team at Anzac Hill about it and then running into one of the same team at Zikes it's a Flood, and realised the rest of the team were here looking. So headed back to joint the hunt. It was Moo who came up with the goods.

Day 3 in Alice and the day was mostly spent north on the Stuart Highway or very close by - being Good Friday the highway had little traffic except for lots of caching cars. Thanks to all the COs for the wonderful hides and showing us around your lovely city.
13233. Next find of Day 03 of the Red Centre Experience Roadtrip.
I flew into Alice Springs to meet up with my caching mates Sol de Lune, Albida33 and LuckyL10n (signing mostly as ALFS) to attend the Red Centre Experience and then venture up north to Darwin and then east into Qld before heading south for home - a three week caching trek.
Next stop for the day. A quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and it was off to the next cache.

This cache was the one of many caches along my 5 week, 5,000km trip to the Red Centre event, then out to Kings Canyon and Uluru, trekking in my Trakka! Apologies in advance for the generic logs, but there are a few!
Many thanks to all the CO's for making the journey so interesting!

Alice trip 2017. Day 11. Today was the second day of the Alice Springs Red Center event. Sol de Lune, Luckyl10n, Fitzy_1965 and I had hotcross bus with smitten Granny, then headed out for caching in the CBD and suburbs. Things were made easier on a quiet day.
Thanks.

#6800 - 09:03; Day 13 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune, albida33 and fitzy_1965, so signing logs as A.L.F.S. We are in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Experience event which is the primary justification for our trip. Today's mission is to cache in and around Alice Springs, taking advantage of the public holiday to clear high muggle area. In all the day saw us collect 67 finds without a DNF! Another great day . Not my favorite hiding spots, but we stopped and gave it a go anyway. Luck was on our side today and the little blighter was quickly located. TFTC griffs90
Here in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Event. Out with Geo-friends going here and going there finding all the hidden caches. Had a great time locating. Apologies for the generic log, however due to the number of caches found, this was the best way to log. To all the CO a big thank you, it was a memorable time visiting Alice Springs and the surrounding areas. TFTC
On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n and Albida33. We arrived in Alice Springs to pick up fitzy_1965 to complete our group and set about the fun of attending the event.
We spent the next 5 days caching around the region enjoying the area and finding a lot of the local caches. A great spot to visit and well worth the effort to get here.
Thanks for all the caches and fun in grabbing them.

While attending the Red Centre Experience event, we have been taking the opportunity to get out and about exploring the area around Alice Springs. Today, we visited a number of interesting places.
We located this cache easily enough and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you griffs90 for having placed the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

It's pretty quiet here in town today on Good Friday, a challenge to find somewhere to eat but good for caching without being watched! We decided to walk north along the river, enjoy the scenery and see how many caches we could add to the day's total. A DNF here yesterday but a quick find today, thanks.
At one point there were 6 geocachers searching here. Most of these types of hides have a much higher difficulty rating...
Day 3 in Alice Springs for the Red Centre Event. Headed off with megawat60, Kyzabra, SVKR_WA and KrabiBoy for the morning's caching and hopefully my 5,000th cache.
A good find here by Kyzabra with megawat60 not far behind.

Four of us looking and it still took 5 minutes. Eventually found by Kyzabra in a place that 3 of us had already touched.
Travelling on the Road Trip to end all Road Trips. Kyzabra and I are travelling from Perth to Alice Springs (via the Great Central Road) for the Red Centre Experience Event over Easter. We are travelling in Kyzabra's GeoPajero and grabbing caches along the way of course.
Day 6 - We teamed up with Krabiboy, M4YB and Megawat60 to grab a few local caches.
griffs90 - SVKR_WA found your cache Alice with a Bang on 14/4/17, 09:43. This is my find #2061 and find #2 today.
The cache is in good shape and we replaced it as found. Thanks for placing this and bringing us to this spot!
