Wanting lots of finds today because I am trying to complete **400 Challenge....with a twist** which means 400 Finds on, for me, the 12th on any month... I had spent the morning on a section of the **Hallam Bypass Trail**... before retreating to Berwick for lunch. I had seen that cache before leaving home this morning and, as I like a Sudoku, gave it a try. It didn't take long to realise that collecting the clues and solving it on site would be far easier... and so I came prepared. In a shady spot I eat my lunch and solved the puzzle... and set off for a short drive to find the cache. It was easy enough to find... but did have to battle the ants that had moved in during the several months since it was last disturbed. Thanks **Pinkpiggy7** for the cache... and the puzzle.
Not sure about hint but couldn’t miss it. very busy place! Thanks for cache Pinkpiggy7 - love a sudoku.
Solved the sudoku a while back .. must admit it took a while. Took the opportunity when passing through the area to make the find. It was a short walk from the parking area and a quick find hidden in a familiar way. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the puzzle and cache
Solved this one a while ago, but only found this one tonight after seeing family just down the road, just a quick stop on the way home before we catch some Zzzz for the night, TFTC Pink Piggy
TFTC- Found it ! Moving trackable teddy to “remembering the fallen “ honour of ave
Solved this puzzle in the pouring rain with echidna44. A nice quick find once solved. Thanks Pinkpiggy7!
Out with pinnacle333 we spent a day caching from Harkaway to Beaconsfield in heat and sudden bursts of rain.
We solved the sudoku while having late lunch, and worked out GZ. A very quick find. Thanks Pinkpiggy7

Saw this on my unsolved pile today while i was in Berwick, And some reason clicked into the cache, and found that I had indeed solved it but didn’t put any corrected coordinates! So made a quick find for the last cache of the day! Thanks for the great puzzle. I do love sudokus!
Last stop before attending local event, my google maps was working overtime and got a little confused with the GZ location. (Nothing unusual but extremely frustrating) I guessed the location from 100 Meters away but Kashbound said no way. Turned out I was spot on.. I particularly liked doing this Sudoku the extra hints made it more fun.
I must admit that I was getting a bit dizzy with tizzy driving around in circles but tiz made the find quickly thanks for the all round adventure... TFTC
PrezDough solved this one in the car whilst I drove. We had to do a u-turn to get near this one and a nearby Multi NightCache showed itself.
So a quick detour there first and then onto this find.
I was sceptical on the location, but PrezDough no I split up whilst I hunted an area and he hunted another. Less than a minute later he screams “found it”.
Awesome teamwork. Well for me it was…! He did all the park.
The log soon had our scribble in it whilst we used our phone lights to shine on the log.
The cache, container no log are in excellent condition.
I visited 5 TB.

We had this one pre-solved so we never like to drive past. A quick stop and a quick find in a likely spot.
After spending a couple of days in Melbourne looking after grandkids it was time to head for home. We left mid morning and thought along the way, "Why not do a couple of Adventure Labs on the way?"
This idea expanded when there were a couple of traditionals nearby, and then a Wherigo to try and a couple of pre-solved puzzles. Then there was some 'Piggy' puzzles we had missed before.
Some great variety and what was going to be an hour or so turned into a day's outing.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Pinkpiggy7.

After battling the spider guardian, I successfully retreived the cache! Yay
buhfuhguh and I spent the day caching around the Berwick/Pakenham area with quite a mix of cache types filling up the time.
I'd solved this cache long, long ago and saved the coordinates for when I was next in the area.
Parking close to those coordinates, I immediately spotted something in a tree that looked very interesting indeed!
Oh, wait, no, that's a possum.
Alas, no cache, but a picture of said possum was taken anyway.
It was then that I checked the logs and...
Oh, wait, no, those aren't the coordinates.
Yep, I hadn't realised the puzzle had been updated since I solved it.
So we took a seat and I worked through the sudoku or soduko or sodoku or whatever it is.
I do recall drawing the grid for this specific puzzle out in pen many years ago, likely 2016-17 or so, to give to someone more skilled at sudokus than I.
I'm not sure they ever did finish it, but it is interesting to note my progression from puzzle noob then to auto-solver professional now!
Fortunately, the new coordinates were only a short walk away and the container was found in the obvious spot from there.
Thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the old puzzle, new puzzle and the hide!

Sudoku or Soduko? a true enigma!
I am out here looking for caches and Brainiac03 only seems to be spotting possums today? Or was it a bird?
In amongst the confusion and continued mayhem on the mind from our previous find today, it was noticed that we had not updated our co-ords.
A quick rest and the puzzle Gremlin was off to work. With the cache following way shortly.

After dropping my Mum off in a park for a picnic with her friends I decided to do a spot of caching in the beautiful daylight savings weather.
I saw this puzzle on the map and remembered it gave me a bit of grief when I attempted to solve it from home during restrictions. Some googling gave me a couple of the numbers needed and then it was time for some good ol sudoku. I almost finished it a couple of times before realising I'd made mistakes, you're right it's not the easiest! But some persistence paid off and eventually the geochecker agreed with me.
I parked a little way away and thought I'd go for a quick stroll. Oops it's half a km that way, I didn't realise I'd be puffed at the end of it Oh well that's my exercise for today done!
Thanks for the cache and the puzzle!

With beckNmonts as my chauffeur, I did some very late evening caching to pick up a few more caches close to where I was staying for the weekend. With this one solved during the week but with the coordinates looking not quite right, once at GZ it all made sense and turned out to be an quick easy find. Thx Pinkpiggy7 for a sudoku with a twist.

It is missing, so is the stump it was hidden in, it appears that a developer has decided that their development is more improtant then our cache. Have sussed out a new spot, but I left the container at home
Couldn’t see this one today. Overgrown so maybe it’s very covered? Had a good look
A visit to a local event and picking up some puzzles along the way. A fav of geocachers is a sudoku puzzler. Soon had the final from a good clue. Tftc

The plan had been to jump on my bike and grab a few caches around the Narre Warren area however the extremely windy weather scuppered those plans. Instead I thought that I would just drive and walk around the area.
Another puzzle that I had solved quite a while ago and had just been waiting to be in the area to grab. Today was that day. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Another solved puzzle in the area that I was keen to put a smiley on. Took a bit of a search initially in the correct spot, then in the wrong spot, then in the correct spot again where the cache was found.
Many thanks to Pinkpiggy7 for the cache. TNLN.

Solved this puzzle a few weeks ago and came last week to grab it but it was missing However the kind CO replaced it super-quick and allowed me the find - thanks very much Pinkpiggy7 for the puzzle and the assistance, TFTC!
Out and about this afternoon for some caching in the Berwick area, had a great time and the rain mostly stayed away
I had no luck finding the cache today, despite a thorough search. I will watch and wait on this one and try again soon.

Inspired to do this for the museum mystery challenge. Nice rainy day to solve this puzzle and came out to brave the cold in between the showers.

Mr Team GBS loves doing Sudoku Puzzles, and so long before we left Africa for our current travels in Australia I had printed out all the Sudoku Puzzles I could find that had been placed in Australia - after all, even if we didn't end up anywhere near the final GZs better to solve a Sudoku that might just give us the opportunity for a smilie than one out of a normal puzzle book! For this one I did a little googling to try and answer the questions to help fill in the odd number, although I wasn't quite as successful as hoped - however Mr Team GBS still managed to solve the Sudoku although it did take him some time - and definitely no cheating involved! Today we found ourselves not far from Ground Zero for this one and so we simply had to divert off the main highway towards Melbourne to come and search for it. Thanks so much for the cache and for the puzzle and greetings from Zimbabwe
Solved at home...internet is a wonderful thing!
Took 2 nights to resolve.
GPSr took us to one place and the clue took us to another, 6m away.

If you are going to do puzzle caches you better become an expert on the old sudoku. I sharpen my skills on "the age" offerings every week so when a cache like this pops up I can solve it.
The hide was in good condition in a nice location here in Berwick

A trip to Melbourne for work, I'm guessing since I can't get my electronic calendar to now go back that far but since it was a mid week drive down and then a drive back on Sunday. I'd have to say that it was probably the time of our programs' All Staff Day catch up and Christmas lunch
Rex and I were in Melbourne/Frankston/Berwick area for 5 days and managed to find 24 caches during that time
We found some Whereigos , some AR caches , some puzzles , some multis , some trads and we got to spend some time with a lovely geocacher [:X] (even if we did keep her up until 3am )
I even managed to finish all of the caches in the Wilson's Botanic Park and that is a tad bittersweet as now I have no more cache incentive to return there
Finally on the way home we spent some extended time finishing off the Light Horse Memorial puzzle cache at Seymour[^] At long last and yet what a lovely and historical area to have been wandering in on sunset and dusk! [^]
As I have been about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]

Before getting gabs1963 to the airport we decided to get some caches, this was a lovely wander through Berwick - TFTC Pinkpiggy7 I really enjoyed it!
Yet another one of the many solved puzzles on the map that constantly stare at me is now a smiley face. With an hour to kill today I used the time to clean up a few of the local caches. At first glance I missed this one only to have the GPSr returning me to the same place, time and time again. On second inspection the cache was revealed and without hesitation we signed the log and returned the cache to its hide. TNLNSL. TFTC. Kkams
Out and about tonight and I thought I'd collect this one that was 'solved' a while ago. Trying not to scare myself walking down a dark path, I was happy to see the end and an easy find. Log book was wet and pen refused to work properly.
There was also a hazardous waste container in the hide, which I picked up thinking it was the cache - all I saw was the bright yellow. You might want to disable this until it is cleared out. I don't know how to dispose of these properly, council may be able to help?

I needed a last push for the Hidden Creatures souvenirs so it was a nice early start and I headed out to Berwick to grab a few early caches before heading to work. After a couple of finds along the main street I spotted this one which I had solved some weeks ago. I was able to move the car to a more convenient spot and thee it was just time for a bit of Frogger and a short walk to GZ. Didn’t take me too long and I had the cache in hand. My third find of five for the morning. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the puzzle and the cache Pinkpiggy7.

8th find for the arvo. Soaking wet logbook but good hiding spot. Wish we didnt park on main road, guess we could of parked closer.
This was first on my 'turn-some-solutions-into-smileys' journey down to tomorrow's bushwalk venue. A quick find at 13:00, although I did have to use some stealth with the gardener just down the way giving me the eye every now and then.
The log was absolutely saturated so maybe some CO TLC is needed here.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen gecoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

I solved this puzzle at home on a cold, wet day, with lots of time up my sleeve. We found the container in the likely spot. There was no water in the cache, but the log was saturated. We managed to make our mark as required. Thanks Pinkpiggy7
I was in Melbourne for a birthday party and Business and found myself with a day to spare. So I decided to find as many puzzle caches as could from long solved and unfound list. So I apologize for the generic logs as I found close to one hundred in the epic binge. I appreciate the effect the various cache owners have put in to creating the puzzles and placement and maintaining the caches. I love doing puzzles. Cheers
Was a bit worried as this one has been idle for a while but is still there although the log is quite wet
A nice area that i had never seen before, despite having lived in the area. Left a TB to continue its journey. tftc Pinkpiggy7
Geomum worked really hard solving the puzzle and managed to get a little help with it. Soon some coords appeared.
She made the find in the end too.
The cache site has been used for littering though and could use a clean up. We didn't have the equipment to help out today, sorry.
Thanks for the puzzle and smiley PP7!

I like doing Sudoku's and I managed to solve this one without any extra clues.
This was the last cache for me for the day as I really need to head home. A nearby park and a short walk and I soon had the cache in hand. I grabbed a GC that has been here for a while and headed off.
Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the puzzles that I was able to find today.

On a previous visit to town to see a geo friend for a big day of caching we were running a little early so dropped by to check some of the answers we had been googling. Turns out we had been very close. Anyway with a small window after a meeting we dropped by to make the quick find and sign. TFTC.
This one has been in the solved pile for a while, but I have never managed to quite get to GZ for a look. I managed to correct this after having dinner with some colleagues to celebrate the end of another manic year! A nice straightforward find at GZ. TFTC!
Love sudoku puzzles, so this was solved some time ago. Finally had a chance to come back to the area and decided to pick this one up. Came before school pickup, so not too much traffic. TFTC Pinkpiggy7.

Took much longer to solve than to find. Live local but never been to this particular spot before. Tftc
A bit of work to solve the puzzle but a much easier find at gz. Gorgeous little spot I never knew existed. Tftc
I've had this one solved for a while, but finally came and picked it up today. Thank you for the puzzle, where I learnt a bit more about Berwick. TFTC Pinkpiggy7
I solved this one a while back, but I was looking for a mystery cache to find to get six cache types in the day (I didn't realise at the time that I'd already found a mystery cache, as I'd located a cache by guesswork...)
When I looked at my solved caches, this one seemed the obvious one nearby.
I walked up Princes Highway to get to the cache. If you come this way, the terrain is higher than a 1.5 as the wounds on my hand still show
After slithering down the embankment I made a reasonably quick find in the gathering dark, thanks for the cache.

Always enjoy a nice Sudoku puzzle and was able to work my way thru it, and having the clues just made it that slightly different. Didn't actually solve all the clues, but as it wasn't exactly necessary, continued on to work out the exact GZ.
Today we went for a walk around Berwick and collected this cache after another couple had passed us.

Enjoying a day of caching in the Melbourne area in the company of McLookers , we set about working our way to pre solved puzzles, DT and multis that we came across in our travels. We took the cheats way out and solved the sudoku from home. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the puzzle.
Having solved this one long ago, today we were in the area so made the find at GZ. Thanks PP7, found with The Tritonz.
Just love it when that green light comes up!
Had this one solved last night so headed out for the hunt early this morning
Quick find, sign and return before being on our way. Cache found in excellent condition

Day 3 of my week long visit to Victoria. Day 1 was spent driving over from Adelaide. Day 2 spent collecting the great Pretzel series, rectifying a DNF on the P.I.G. series which made the geoart complete and four of the five outstanding C.F. series completed. Only one left to complete that geoart as well.
No points for guessing the plan for the day then - get that final C.F. and get some of the nearby puzzles that we solved. Time permitting the NHL series and make our way over to Geelong.
As the late great John Lennon said, 'life is what happen's to you while you're busy making other plans.' Caching too -So here is what did happen! [:o)]
sudoku's I can do. it was just a matter of finding the cache. Which was done. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

A week of caching and this guy was on my list travelling through Werribee then down along the beach front to Beaumaris and then across to Tynong and then returning to Anglesea for the Surf Coast Mega later in the week travelling with my friends from S.A.
Our aim was to find five C.F. caches that we did not find last Mega, one PIG cache that was a DNF last year, and then attack the Pretzel Series and another 30 odd mysteries, multis and letterbox caches and if a trad crossed our path then we would grab it on our way past.
brisal5 had booked us into a farm stay cottage for a few days and as stated previously we planned to returned to the 2016 Mega at Anglesea. This week I have cached as Bushfire, GOTHS+1 ( I am the +) BAB today and must thank all the owners of caches that we have found for placing these caches to make this trip possible.
A week of laughs, some great company, some good food and wine and some great caches, what more could you ask for. OH I should also say a couple of DNF's, too good for us this trip, but if I live long enough I hope to return.
I was outnumbered this trip with the others all coming from SA but what a team.
My NGW (non geocaching wife) is a fan of Sudoku's so will help me with these so that is a plus, but that's it.
Thanks again Pinkpiggy7 for placing another cache for us to find.

My NGW (non geocaching wife) is a fan of Sudoku's so will help me with these so that is a plus, but that's it.
Thanks again Pinkpiggy7 for placing another cache for us to find.
Plenty of sudoku puzzles done over the years. TFTC. 10/11/16, 9:54 am Find #3135.
Surefoot24 did all the hard work puzzle solving, I was tagging along for the ride and photo opportunity!

Out on a solved-mysteries-pickup evening with n0w0rries for the Mystery Month Challenge.
Nw had already found this one so he stood by and waited for me to find and sign.

Some weeks ago after a visit to the geo-mum, I paid a night time visit to the Old Post Office while Mrs Welder and 1Dgirl waited in the car. There were many teens wandering the street that night picking up Pokémon, so I blended right in. The info gained significantly simplified the puzzle and a likely GZ was established.
The following week, after another visit to the geo-mum, Mrs Welder and I checked out GZ to establish it's validity. All good! But I couldn't leave my mark yet because I needed it for my Mystery Month Challenge which was beginning a few weeks later...
So today I received a mayday call from the the geo-mum while out at the beach. Rushed over to help with a medical appointment which wasn't far from this GZ. And afterwards, we drifted by here for the simple pick up. I brought the cache back to the car for signing so she could see my hobby/obsession in action. She just shook her head, lol!
Thanks Pinkpiggy7, for a neat little puzzle which taught geo-mum and I some local history which we are reminded of every time we go down the main street and see the Old Post Office building.
Mystery #8 (of 31) for the Monthly Challenge.

So...... having learnt Sudoku for the one in the P.I.G series, I was now willing to have a go at solving this one too. Reading the description, I was a bit worried I would be out of my depth and would have to resort to the other methods. I was pleasantly surprised to find I completed most of it (after a lot of gnashing of teeth and pulling out of hair) before I realised I'd made a mistake somewhere and I couldn't complete it.
Determined to give it another go, I printed out another copy and used two different coloured pens this time (much easier!!!!) and amazingly I managed to finish it, and the coordinates I worked out actually seemed to make sense.
Today was the day I had a chance to see if I was right. Access to the area wasn't from where I'd expected, but turned out to be easier and just a very short drive from where I was working. Amazing how all these little green pockets of land and pathways are at the end of dead end streets I have never been down! The cache was a nice quick find so I wasn't late for picking up geodaughter from school, always good.
Thanks for the challenge and the sense of achievement I got from completing the puzzle on my own

We have had these coords for a long time and every week when I drive past to see the ol' man, I say to myself, I should go and get this one. Today being such a sunny day I left the car in the centre and walked down to GZ where for once the phone behaved itself and I could log the cache.
Thanks PP7 for the opportunity to get a cache today.

Cache was nicely found, puzzle was pretty difficult without having gathered any clues. However, it was nice to see the whole puzzle could be solved with a unique solution and each step solvable with logic and no trial-and-error. Thanks for the cache, Pinkpiggy7!
The puzzle was solved with an equal ratio of:
a) Grey matter
b) Guesswork
c) Tears
We loved GZ. Such a gorgeous part of Berwick.
Especially in the autumn, with the vibrant fiery hues of the canopy above.
Don't leaves die so beautifully?

We enjoy solving Sudoku puzzles. It wasn't long before this one was solved and we had the coordinates for GZ. Today we went to look for the cache. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Pinkpiggy7 for the puzzle and cache.
Out today on a last ditch effort to find 29 Unknown caches in February. So, it was the last day of Feb, and I still had eight to find. Well, by this stage I had six to find and it was 4.30 p.m. and I only had four solved puzzles. I used the sudoku way of solving this, and my son and I found GZ nice and easily. He had lots of fun leaping over the ditch on this leap day, and even lost his daks a couple of times. Thanks Pinkpiggy7.

Chasing multi-caches and mysteries this month. I decided to head to the area in which I had a heap of solved mysteries due to the recent mega event, to try my hand at 31 by the end of January. Thanks for the cache Pinkpiggy7.

Solved a little while ago but headed out today with geoson, xXiSolemnlySwearXx to find it. Yet another pretty little spot of old Berwick we have discovered through geocaching. SL. TN, left small puzzle. Thanks for bringing us here Pinkpiggy7.
I solved this in July but only just got to find it today! Yet another undiscovered beautiful part of Berwick. Thanks for the find and the adventure!
Out and about for some new years day cacheing on what turned out to be quite a warm day with a lot of traffic around. Little bit scary at times. Pretty well much concentrating on puzzles today that where primarily solved by some friends in New Zealand. Enjoyed most of them apart from getting my dreadlocks caught in spiny plants and the dust.

Great to learn a little more of the history of Berwick as I filled in some gaps on the Sudoku squares. Completed the puzzle and off to GZ to add my name to the log. A fav point for this well constructed cache Thanks Pinkpiggy7
Here for the Mega and out caching with Lgoody & roostaman.
So much variety in the caches and in the weather!
Very happy that we did not experience any rain to speak of.
Great to cache in a new environment.
