What an interesting place. A bit more climbing than expected, but great hide. TFTC
Found it! Thought I was pushing my luck a little with no finders here in 372 days! Turned out to be a quick find with minimal climbing and cache found in the first place I looked! Favourite point for a cool little spot for a cache hide. TFTC!
Great fun rock hopping and bush bashing to get to this one……gets a FP from me

*Another big geocaching trip to Australia with woolwood9.*
Our main focus was the "On Your Bike" Wherigo series but of course we couldn't resist many stops on the way plus other good trails!
SL **tm/ww NZ**
Really appreciate the effort put into this cache.

I’ve come last this cache a few times and the grass was either way too wet or it was snake season. Today was neither and seems like a good day to go over and find the cache, up I went and soon found it nicely tucked away, although the bottom is cracked the cache will last a lot longer
Today with an event on in Mt Barker I set off early in the day for a full days caching. Starting in loberthal and making my way through the towns and back roads as I went. Managed to get 55 finds and see 3 brown snakes at caches.
Thank for the cache

A little bit of an up hill hike resulting a minor slip and a bit of blood - a usual caching day out!
Good lord, the wildlife is getting bigger. Nice walk & stretch of the legs...TFTC 3LG.
Tftc, was a fun little climb. The cache itself needs some maintenance though as there's a giant hole in thr container.
Mad max and the zombies say hi! What a weird silent place. Found with kayche21. Staying here for the week. Tftc
Found by Clive Staple’s keen caching eye.
Lots of climbing over rocks involved.

Gave it 10 minutes but that was enough. Dried grass, warm day, bare legs and double pluggers = upside down smile
Well the metal work near gz was unexpected. Not sure why thats even there. After lookingat that i looked for the cache. Up and down and around and around. I was using my phone as i forgot my GPS. Alot of bounce here. I think this would be easier in summer when the grass is as high as my knees because it would have died off by then. Found it finally. The local rat must be hungry, it's eaten 2 large holes in the cache.
found after work and on route to the Sandy Creek Sandybration Celebration Event.

A very interesting area here at GZ.
It was a challenging search looking for this one amidst all the tall weeds and with a GPS that was bouncing around more than Jelly on Springs
No trumpeting or stampeding from the African Elephant as the where he was so i was on my own here today so the ol' Caching instincts were gonna have to be employed for this one and they proved to be successful after about a 10 minute search [^]
I found the rat-eaten end of a nice sized cache, hidden well. The contents within were all dry and in good condition [^]

Sorry Lib, too good for me. I didnt even get a wiff of where this one might be. Slippery slope here in patches.
Restricting myself to caches that haven’t been found so far this year, and this one fits the bill whilst en route to the recycling depot in Woodside.
Found the cache, but unfortunately it’s been muggled by a rat/rats. Contents, particularly the log have been shredded.
I will ask the CO for permission to replace.

Such an interesting location. So glad it has a cache otherwise we'd never have known about it. Searched in loads of wrong spots before accidentally finding the cache in an unexpected spot. TFTC LiB.
What an odd place. Took a little searching as lots of options but got there in the end. TFTC
After a big day geocaching on my mountain bike I was pretty tired but made a small detour on the drive back to Adelaide to grab this cache.
This cache is flagged in my todo list as I am collecting certain attributes for a SFE challenge.
Interesting GZ. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the area. Found cache after a short search.
Thanks for bringing me here and the cache 3LG.

After parking the car we started to walk towards GZ. The first thing we noticed was a very unusual construction, built largely from halves of 44 gallon drums many years ago and now very rusty and falling apart. We wondered why the object had been built in the first place but did not come up with a satisfying reason. We continued towards GZ and then started to look around. Rather quickly something interesting was noted and on inspection, the cache was located. The cache and contents were in good condition. Luckily we did not disturb nor see any snakes and no elephants were harmed as we hunted for the cache. Thanks 3LG for the cache.
Took a little while to locate due to all the possible hiding spots, and being extra cautious due to the snakes who like to come out around this time of year.
Thanks for the cache, 3LG
Thanks for the cache, 3LG
Well that thing guarding the entrance to GZ certainly looks like a big metal elephant
I squeezed past the rusty pachyderm and went for a scramble around the rocks to find out what the miners were after
Hmmm ??
Talc maybe ??
Well away from the hard hat area,
I eventually tracked down the cache safe 'n' sound

A quick glance at GZ made me refer to the GPSr to check the terrain rating. I then thought I knew where the cache would be, but decided to check 'just over there' first. Luckily I came up trumps on a far easier terrain rating than I was expecting.
What a bizarre structure that is. Maybe armour for a [war elephant](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/War_elephant)?
We picked up [Donkey Kong](https://coord.info/TB11VWJ) and left [WAGB16 Travelling Turtle Bison Carrier](https://coord.info/TB7B08N). There was no sign of [Kapitän - bleib immer auf Kurs!](https://coord.info/TB61PHG)
Thanks 3LG.

After finding lots of small and micro containers, it's a nice change to find something bigger.
Left a monkey to play with the elephant.
Thanks for the cache 3LG. Found on 27 Feb 2017 at 12:59 pm. Find #3972.

A day out caching with Moneydork - -the weather was oh so fine so we decided hiking in the forest would be brilliant. And it was. I now must use the template log, I have my reasons for doing so -- ask me about it at an event sometime.
Found out with Geo Hubby who climbed the rocks we were after the TB as had been here too long but sadly TB has gone but NO ONE has signed LOG. TFTC TNLNSL THANKS another Smilie.
Found on our return journey from Mount Torrens after a very successful day of caching with UPSANDDOWNS. Had to find a cache large enough so I could drop off a TB - ER66V5.

Caching with TT016 who are visiting for the weekend.
We thought 3.5 terrain surely it was up there...the GPS said over the edge...not likely...so down we went to start again...it was a good workout on a humid afternoon...it took quite some time to locate and the crumbly rocks under foot didn't make it any easier...nice hide...TFTC 3LG

geo wife kept geo baby occupied in the car while
geo hubby and geo nanna ventured up the hill,
only to find they had gone the wrong way.
eventually they emerged from the scrub with happy "found it" smiles.

Mummachas found this one lol wow what a work out should never aim for oxygen hahaha and wow apparently I have chirp feature on this phone. Never noticed this spot before and being local its cool!! Tftc
Out with Mattycat for a day's caching and finishing a few up by torchlight, much more of a challenge with all the sour sobs covering all the little gaps and hidey holes this took the two of us quite a bit of time before the African elephant made its appearance TFTC 3LG
A fun day out with Mr and Mrs Froghoppin, working through
two lots of On This Day caches and a whole lot more!
This one was fun by torchlight. Climbing cliffs for a better lack of view,
scrambling through roadside rubbish, avoiding tetanus covered rust, and
YES !!! finally, there's a cache - in a pretty cachy sort of place

Saw the 'difficult climb' and 'scenic view,' so headed straight for the top - wrong .
Came back down to earth to make the easy find after passing the 'sculpture [:o)].' An interesting place and elephant graveyard [xx(].

Found at 1:30:00 PM, GAFF1, Out in the area today doing a few caches.
This one took way longer than anticipated as the GPSr was all over the place and plenty of potential hides.
Eventually I came up with the goods, the GPSr had me 8m from where I found it.
SL, cache in good condition.

My coordinates had me about 8m off course. Picked up a hint in the activity section. Here's another... Horizontal tree.

The sculpture is fantastic and the find ended up being more exciting than expected. I had parked by the side of the road and headed in to find the cache. I saw a police car cruise by and slow down. It was the 4th police car I had seen during my day in the hills. I stayed out of sight and he went away. I found the cache and headed back to the car. As I checked my mirrors to pull out (as safe drivers always do), I saw a police car parked behind me and a policeman walking towards the car. I was in a rental car with Victorian plates so we had a chat about that and about what I was doing. I said I was looking at the elephant sculpture (which he had not noticed). When he asked for ID and said that they were looking for firebugs, I decided to be a bit more open and asked if he knew about geocaching. Luckily he did from when he was in England. After a short and pleasant chat (and him getting all of my details in his little pad) I was free to go. It was getting late in the afternoon, so I decided that I would do one more cache and then call it a day. A bit of excitement to add to the joy of caching. TFTC
A very interesting piece of modern sculpture that we were happy to stop and have a better look at. We had a bit of trouble with the GSP which meant we looked in a few wrong directions before finding the cache. TFTC

Found to fill in yet another date in the calender. Now there are three types of elephants. I have just seen the very rare and elusive drum elephant - genus - halfaferrousdrumiselefant ginourmous. Thanks for placing this cache.
Yay for PM only cache, delete any 'member only' log who complains but claims a smiley, like elephants they never forget to have a whinge! SL TFTC
On the way home from the night before, so picked up some easy smileys along the way.
Those 44's were put to use in a 2nd life!
Kind of over the constant negative comments of LL that have been on just about every PM Only cache! If he doesn't like Groundspeak and their rules/guidelines then perhaps he needs to just find GCA cache!! Otherwise give constructive criticisms instead of the constant whining about "PM Only Cache"!!!
TNLNSL
Thanks

Despite being sick with the flu, the three of us needed some sunshine and so we stopped by here for a cache. A very interesting location indeed. We found the cache after a couple of minutes of searching.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache 3LG.

Found after watching netball at Woodside. Took a while to find but got it eventually, then pondered over the function of the nearby contraption (something to do with the quarry obviously, but not sure exactly what?). Thanks for the cache 3LG!
Had to head to Mt Crawford to check conditions for next weeks Scouts Rally SA so grabbed some caches along the way and around the spectator area. There is a lot of water flowing around in the forest so the cars better stay on the tracks next weekend. TFTC.
Found It!
Interesting spot. Just disappointing that the cache is PM only

Found it after a slight rain shower, interesting rusty structure in here, and then after making our way past that the geology behind it was fascinating. Found the cache soon enough and arrived back at the car just as the next rain shower was coming in. TFTC!
In Lobethal for the morning, so went out in search of an Elephant.
A pretty little spot, looks like it was quarried out at some point in time.
Took the high road and couldn't find the end point!!
Thanks for bringing me 3LG, nice little distraction from a busy morning.

I'd love to say "Quickly found with AussieM&M" ........ but it wasn't!! I ventured to far in .... Then to far up .... before AussieMary eventually located the prize!! Thanks 3LG for the adventure!!!
Logging as found as beta tested when placed.
A strange area and we wonder why the structure is here.

Liked the rust art here but the rubbish and broken glass under foot was just dangerous. Hope this area gets a clean up soon. CP had the coordinates in his GPS and got us stuck looking in the wrong spot. I ended up finding it by roaming around in the lower areas 4 m away from GZ. No need to climb too far for this one people. TFTC and the rust art 3LG.
An interesting structure at GZ. Possibly about the same size as an elephant. TFTC 3LG
I guess that an artificial elephant would look like the one at GZ. Thanks 3LG.
