Day 1 of my 5 day Geocaching long weekend away. This would be Find Number 5 of 38 for the day.
Guessed this might be a no hope find as last finder was on 6th of July 2021 but had to give it a go. After a few minutes I spotted something it that might have been the cache or a bit of trash but only one way to find out so I stretched in and grabbed it and turned out to be what I was after.

Today headed out solo for a big day of caching around Port Wakefield and a bit of the peninsula for some fishing and then home via Balaklava.
Enjoyed the day out but was knackered when I got home. Some great hides and a lot of manky mint tins.
Got a bit sun burnt. Enjoyed a lovely packed lunch on the peninsula.
All up just over 50 caches found for the day as well as the lab caches In Port Wakefield.
Thanks to all the CO for the hides was a good start to the New Year.
Nice quick find here was a bit worried about snakes thankfully none sighted. TFTC LiB

Now staying at Price, today we headed out tackle caches that we missed last year when working at Bowmans and that were just out of reach for us from Snowtown.

Our & about on this gorgeous Sunday with Geo Hubby Animal62 finding as many caches as possible to fill our maps with smiley faces.
This was a quick find, the log was signed and dated then returned to its hiding spot.

We soon found this cache once at Ground Zero. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. We think it would be an absolute privilege to have a Thorny Devil cross our path! So far we have seen two Sleepy Lizards, and they were both truly thrilling sightings. Thanks so much for the cache and for the very interesting information on the cache page. Greetings from Zimbabwe
Out for another Wednesday wandering, this time we were heading to Clare with no stopping. Yeah, right. After leaving the Sewer Rats abode we headed toward Pt Wakefield so the team could get another go at a BBB cache. Eventually we got to Clare but with only enough time to find a few caches in the area. We will return.
A quick find, thanks 3LG.
A quick find, thanks 3LG.
The hunt for caches is drawing us toward the Yorke Peninsula with ilook4geo and there were some caches that we picked up along the way, to represent the various towns and districts that we passsed through on our way.
All good with the container and log. Two more names were added to the log and we were on the move again.
Thank you 3LG for adding this cache to the geocaching scene.

Heading out on our way to the Yorke Peninsula with goingplaces2. Picking up some caches along the way. It was a good day and successful. This was one of the caches we found. TFTC.
ANOTHER OUCH here....and cactus splinter, so the rest of the drive I had one finger off the steering wheel.
Sal had found this one, but TheDame and I hadn't. Stamped the log as "Fabulous Randoms".
A very average day weather wise, but a great day with our secret squirrel friend who jetted in....
The lovely Feathertop joined TheDame and I on a short run out North. Our focus was to collect the caches that we usually 'fly past' but say "we'll grab those next time" - well today was that day, and a handful of great caches were found.
Lots of laughter and fun was had.
Thanks so much for placing this cache 3LG! [^]

As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Heading back home and doing a few caches on the way. Another needle joint! The things we do to get a smiley. Kutgw
We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today was the last day of our caching holiday and so we headed from the Yorke Peninsula this morning back to Mildura for the night, before heading to Canberra the next day.
We were very glad that we didn’t have to go into the spiky bits here. We just followed the caching trail in. Tftc 3LG!!!

Yet another puzzled puzzler's Tuesday caching expedition. Today's crew of brisal5, Mrs. SA Sewer Rats and Doctor Owl set sail north again to where we were caching DNF's recently. Whilst doing that two weeks ago we rectified three DNF'S but added another three to the list. Although we made a lot of finds I managed to add another four to my DNF list! No matter we had a lot of laughs and I added a few unloved caches to my list along the way. [:o)]
I looked in the obvious spot. Nope. So I looked under where the thorny devils were spreading to and found the cache.
**Thanks 3LG for this cache. **

Day 2 of our girl's adventure and Gral4 and I did a spin around town collecting caches before heading into the wild and retackling yesterdays DNF, some 4WD caches and exploring the backroads for some planetary pursuit caching.
Another interesting day, we encountered mangroves and slippery mud, saw kangaroos, a rabbit, a dead cat [)], a UFO lauchpad [?], an old homestead, a grandprix track, a few trains and big cactus plants amongst other things.
Gral4 did some great 4WDing which meant we could get to some places my Toyota Corolla can only dream about I dropped lots of TB's on the way but we also picked up another 4.
Weary and hungry we ended up at Cookies at Two Wells for dinner and enjoyed a very tasty sweet and sour chicken dish to complete the fun weekend.
Another quick find on our travels as we were whizzing past.

Day 2 of our adventures. This was much more adventurous than day 1. We did a lot of 4x4 driving, up tracks that hadn't seen a vehicle for ages, NEARLY conquered mangrove mud without ending up in it, saw two kangaroos and two sleepy lizards, three trains went past just after we went across the crossings, and we had lots of fun. It was good to get the 4x4 out and use it for what it is designed for, although muggle hubby might not be happy with the layer of missing duco. I have never been confident to use the 4x4 like this, there will be no stopping me now.
I can't reach it yet, got it now!

Out on a planet run today.
Looking for points and dirt roads.
Had a great day tracking down caches.
As ususal there was blood.

Oh 3LG why do you hide BBB caches under the thinly veiled disguise of a name that we all know. Previous experience with BBB caches have left me with torn clothes and bloodied body. Thankfully today the cache was quickly found and no blood drawn nor clothes torn. Phew. Extracted the log, signed and replaced.

Original log wet and someone else left a dry log. Sorry, unable to do further maintenance today.
A quick trip up to see friends in Halbury for the New year so on the way back with muggle wife in the car it was a quick stop and easy find so as not to keep her who must be obeyed happy. As we did not have any plans to seek caches we did not have our stamp with us. In any case we had to use the old type scribe to make our mark. The last entry was coincidentally our partner, the rats. Well you have matched the animal with the correct hide.
Thanks for not doing a BBB on me!

An early morning start took us on a caching adventure to Price, Clinton, Port Arthur and Port Wakefield and surrounds using Geocaching as a guide and picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Day 2 of our lovely adventure with Oohyeh, over 300 today, luckily the weather gods stayed good to us. Now time for a rest, and some food, maybe a bundy or 2 . tftc sl tnln.
Day 2 of attacking the power trails with Mr Jackylegs. We managed the OTD april series, the letterbox series, the PSA series and made a good start on the gone fishing caches. Most caches were found quickly with the exception of the gone fishing caches where it appears rodents have been eating them or they just weren't there. We replaced and repaired caches as we went along but a lot of the hints are in correct. Thanks to all the CO,S for placing the caches.
Was on my way to Moonta for the weekend and I decided to stop off and get a couple of caches on my way. [^] Had some lunch at Port Wakefield then made the short detour as there was a puzzle cache that I wanted to find as well as a couple of others along this road.
More prickle bushes and again thankful that the cache wasn't in them.
The log was wet so I replaced it with a new one in a plastic bag.
Thanks for the cache 3LG.

We decided to head up Port Wakefield way this weekend, so stopped in for caches along the way. Great relaxing weekend with a very poor geocaching success rate. Luckily this is one we did get, thankyou
An impromptu dash to South Australia was needed so I could say my goodbyes to my poppy, and I stayed a couple nights with my best friend KBKL. After poppy's service was sorted, we decided a few caches were in order.
Out for a drive to Port Wakefield and decided to grab a couple caches along the route. No issues finding this one, signed and replaced.

Another great day's caching with fellow Geelong cachers Suscoe, during our time in SA. We explored the area to the north east of Pt Wakefield. The weather was kind, the scenery amazing and a variety of caches dotted the landscape; including trads, puzzles and multis. Along the way we had the chance to learn quirky facts about animals, interesting detail and stories from the past as we found the caches.
Our thanks to 3LG for placing this cache.

Well a pleasant Sunday drive for Suscoe took place today in the very good company of Phetlern.
We headed off bright and early with a mild start, temperature wise.
It was a cloudy day again and there was some distant rain on the horizon but that kept its distance from us and so the day was generally fine. There were times where the breeze and clouds conspired to make things cool.
Our point of departure was Port Wakefield and that was also our final destination. In between we headed to the areas around Bowmans, Balaklava, Watchman, Halbury, Erith and Avon. We took in a variety of traditionals, multi’s and puzzles and we found many of the caches that we stopped at. There were a few that seemed elusive and perhaps need some owner TLC.
We discovered a good bit of history of this region and we also admired the countryside which was looking stunning with early growth of the grain crops looking beautifully green and the occasional sheep and cattle looked happy in the grassy paddocks.
Unfortunately Mrs. S ended up with a small piece of tree embedded in her head which required a detour to the nearby hospital to have it removed. Fortunately this didn’t slow the finds down for too long.
