Quick find. Another find in this LGA and another find closer to 20 finds. Found with Mogni. The plan this October Long Weekend was to head over to Victoria and host 3 CITO's plus host my first geocaching event, also increase my finds to 20 in at least 5 victorian LGA's. Given that we were caching in the country alot of km's were travelled. The weather was raining on and off all saturday including the night time but by luck all 3 events that day were dry. The first CITO ( and the cache of the trip ) was in Kaniva at the wetlands, the next in CITO was in Dimboola at one of the rest areas, and placing a future challenage cache then slowly making our way to wycheproof canavan park which was our accomadation for the weekend and then up to Mount Wycheproof ( the smallest registered mountain in Australia - at 43metres tall ) for my coffee and sunset event. Sunday started off with a early 630 am CITO in the Mount Wycheproof wetlands reserve ( sorry i did forget about daylight savings when i made the time for the event but it was a dawn and light still ). Now off to swan hill ( which is my least favorite LGA to cache in ) and then a few more LGA's and back to the tent in the dark well past dinner. Then it was slowly heading home via the silo arts works along the way and walpuep and then over the border to pinaroo and home. We went through over a milk crate of spare containers and got 2 and 1/4 garage bags of cans and bottles. Any caches that were found broken/cracked/etc were replaced and any full log books were replaced.
Sir_Spectre and I went for a long weekend over to Victoria, we hosted some events and CITO's and was really impressed by all the people that made the effort to join us. Any caches that needed attention got it, with many log books being replaced or extras sheets added as needed. Thanks to all who placed and maintained caches for us to find
On the way from Swan Hill to Echuca today via a few side roads and finding quite a few caches along the way. Thanks to all th COs.
Outnabout for some solo caching while travelling from The Great Leap Forward Mega event in Adelaide to the Capital GeoBash Mega in Canberra. Grabbed a couple of caches in the area on the way through increasing my LGA tally. Its always a great day for caching. TFTC Sparra0907
Needed a break and stretch the legs. this one was an easy find. The tragowel plains looking great after winter rains.

I had a few days leave so Mrs JTreeTrack2 and I decided to pack up the car and head off to where it is slightly warmer (than Ballarat). So North to the Murray River, Swan Hill and Mildura then home through the Wimmera. What is a trip without some caching, so some caching we did, not heaps but enough to leave some more smiley faces dotted on some new parts of the Map.
Always fascinating coming across old School sites A quick search around the GZ area produced the hide. The log was signed and put back in place.
The Cache is nice and healthy.

Suscoe was heading north today in the terrific company of Phetlern, Papi, Geoturtle and The Drovers.
It was a delightful day, plenty of sunshine and lots of fun.
We were logging our finds today at the "B Team"
Thanks to Sparra0907 for this hide.

The long weekend is upon us and after organising to pick something up from Strathmerton Saturday morning, I checked the map before hand and here is a place that I have not visited before which was Moulamein.
I guy I work with stayed here in January and recommend that it was worth a visit.
So after detouring via Conargo to see if the pub has finished being rebuilt (not open yet) I arrived at my destination.
After touring around Moulameinand spending a great night in my cabin at the pub that overlooked the Edwards River it was on to my next destination Lake Boga then Kerang as it was the only accomodation that I could find.
I was taking the less travelled roads which usually meant dirt roads but that was fine by me and then the bitumen.
After spending the night in the pub it was time to head towards home, went for a walk around the the Loddon River and Levee bank then now to head south again.
Another trip around Country Victoria and another plaque that marked where once a school stood with probably smiling happy farming kids getting their start in life.
Thanks Sparra0907 TFTC.

Decided to take a day out caching after a long stint of no caching, not only because of the Covid restrictions, but my mother had a bad fall and our elderly dog required constant supervision.
A quick and obvious hide.

Find No. 3070. Found with FUF009 at 2.07pm.
With Covid restrictions being lifted it was now time to go for a days outing with Geodog Penny and FUF009, and do some caching.
As we wanted to collect the 'Wonders of the World' stamps we decided to head up Kerang way, targeting the caches that held the stamps we both needed. Naturally we done a few extras along the way, as how can you go past a cache that is close and handy to the road we were travelling on?
A very short detour off the main road and just around the corner. We guessed where this would be as we were parking the van. Out we got and there it was - another quick and easy find.

As we headed from Swan Hill to Bendigo today, we stopped along the way to look for some caches. This was one of them.
Accurate coordinates and a familiar style of hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Sparra0907 for the cache and others you have placed in the area.

After a few days around Swan Hill, it was time to move on - cache by cache to Ballarat.
Our second visit - a DNF on 02.05.18. Today we made the find of a replaced cache and enjoyed learning of another snippet of local history.
Thanks 'Sparra0907' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Glad to see that this school site has been remembered. The cache was located , signed and replaced. Thanks Sparra0907.
This one looked close enough to the road for a stop so I did. It was a really quick find at 15:20 at another commemorative marker that many wouldn't know about.
A good sized container offering a quick stop at a point of local historic interest sounds good enough for a fave point.
TNLNSL, although our BYO pen geocoin had a visit to mark the occasion. Thanks Sparra0907.

I had planned a big few days of caching in SA so I left work on a Tuesday evening and hit the road from Melbourne. This was my return journey on the Sunday and instead of chasing big numbers I was covering a lot of kms and targeting some specific caches to satisfy missing spots on either Jasmer or the Victorian LGA challenge. This one I had identified before I set off from home to tick off the Loddon shire. Having headed east to get other targets I know carried on to pick up the Murray Valley Highway near Lake Boga. After passing through Kerang I stopped at this one just after I crossed the council boundary from Gannawarra. It was a steaming 37C on the car temperature reading so I was pleased to make a quick find here and get back to my air conditioned comfort. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the cache and for helping to me to tick off another LGA Sparra0907.
Having to go to Swanhill to deliver some equipment for the New Years Eve festivities there we made the most of it by stopping to grab a few caches along the way to break up the drive.
This was the fourth for the day.
After a dnf here twelve months ago doing the same trip we stopped to try our luck again, this time what we thought was the cache hide was spotted from the car and we wandered across without the GPS and were rewarded with a nice easy find and added our name to the log. We had a look back through the logs and found indeed that it was missing on our last visit so we don't feel so bad.
Thanks Sparra0907 for placing and maintaining this cache in an interesting area.

Caching has been relegated to the back burner for quite some months due to a very increased work roster and today has been the first day for a long time that we have "gone for a drive".
Our last visit here resulted in a forwn but today turned into a smiley.
Thank you, Sparra0907, for this cache.

I dropped by here with my muggle friend today around 11:45 am but wasn't sure if we found the cache or just a couple of decoys so won't claim the find. I'll send the CO a personal message to seek clarification. Thanks for the hunt so far Sparra0907!
Drive through late on Friday night (4/5/18) and was disappointed not to find.
Quickly found the decoy, but spent a good amount of time in the dark and cold without success.
Decided to try again on return and was grateful that it had been replaced between visits.
A quick find on this Occassion.

This cache was missing. I have gone out today and replaced it with a new one, with a new log-book and some swaps. Hope it stays there this time. Thanks and Cheers. The CO.

Now with 2 consecutive DNF's and confirmation of the original hide location (including images) from a PAF, it would seem this cache has gone. Perhaps it is time for the CO to visit and investigate please.

We looked high, we looked low, we looked in, we looked out, but today there was no way we could work this one out!
We did find a decoy along with a broken securing device. A PAF to a previous finder confirmed in our mind that the cache has gone.
Thanks for the hunt anyway Sparra0907.

We were having to deliver some equipment to one of our staff in Swan Hill, we thought that we would leave a little bit early and do some caching along the way.
We hopped out here and headed across to where we thought that the cache might be
and like many others before us found the decoy cache but unfortunately no cache. We did find a nice little knot hole in the back of the post that looked like it may have had a container and then we also went up and down the fence line a few times just to make sure.
We now fear for this one's safety, most of the previous logs said nice easy find, we hope we are wrong.
Thanks anyway for bringing us here.

After spending 10 minutes extracting a container from its hide, I discovered that it was " Not the Cache", so a quick look around soon found the proper cache, signed and returned back as found, a very tricky bit of skulduggery here, but still Thank you to Sparra0907, it will never be forgotten, look before I leap

Found by Mary & David at 1320. Another quick find as we head home. Quite amazing that there are so many deserted school sites in most States. At least there are stories for the locals to remember. Our thanks to Sparra0907.
Looking at heading up this way only to be told "we've found those, they are probably more that you haven't logged". As it turns out, that is exactly what has happened. I was caching with Papi4506 who has thankfully mentioned me in his log so I know I was present at this find and on this day. Thank you for the cache and huge apologies for not doing it earlier.
Pulled up here and geoturtle said that she would stay in the car as it was obvious where it was. WRONG. Well done. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.

Off on a weekend road trip to Swan Hill, going the long way on my 1400km adventure to pick up a few new LGA's along the way as well as a few caches of interest.
The time has come to head for home but there were still caches to find along the way.
The decoy is so obvious on this one that it draws you in only to find that you need to keep on looking but it didn't take long to find the real one after.

What are the chances that a large farm tractor and equipment would come by where I was parked at the same time I was looking for the cache! a day for muggles for me. anyway no chance he was stopping for a chat ( too close to Tea time i suppose) so after being sure that my car was safe from being side swiped I went back to retrieve the cache and sign the log-sheet. now to get back onto the highway and head homewards. thanks Sparra0907, for another successful find.

This geo family camping trip to the Flinders Ranges is over unfortunately and we were now on the road for a few days to get back home. We were on the road again and stopping for a cache find here to to learn about the history of the site. We found a massive cache guardian that bolted when let in some sunlight. Catching up with some late logs, therefore this unfortunately is going to be one of 'those logs'. I apologize in advance for the generic log, A combination of limited time and too many to log dictates that a generic log is best. I have enjoyed the hunt and being outdoors in this great country of ours, partaking in a pastime that I thoroughly enjoy. I usually head out by myself, but I thank those that have had the misfortune of my company in some of these ventures.

We're off on another family geocaching holiday! The geofamily: Geoparents = moneydork and tounga, geosis = locus cache and myself. Another raid into Mexico and that other state to the north of Mexico. The car was loaded and we were set off on the long road east. Who knows what adventure we would be in for this trip. Today Geodad had us all over the place but the underlying theme of fun and maniacal murders remained with the family all day long.
An interesting story on the rock, would have made a good start for a multi.

Today was day eight of the ahomburg and sharkiefan 2015 road trip to South Australia. While not in South Australia anymore, it was the last day of our SA holiday, and needing around 40 finds to hit 1000 caches over the last nine days, we had high hopes. The weather was absolutely wonderful, we started in Mildura, followed by Swan Hill and finally onto Bendigo.

Nice quick cache to break up a rather boring trip home. Not far from the "hour tower" up the road which says we are about an hour from home. Never knew this school was here and never noticed the monument til now.

So many old schools around... back in the days when you could have a school with less than 10 students... how times have changed. Thanks for showing us another one, and for the cache.
Nice quick cache. glad I've got a small hand as it was a struggle to get it out. TFTC:)
quickly found this morning. Really good to see this one back on line like a few others we went before
so glad to have it marked off the to do list. Signed and replaced.
Thanks for the cache Sparra0907.

Quick pick up on our way home from bendigo. Thanks Sparra for getting this one back up again. TFTC
"I'm going to catch up with the girls on Tuesday, do you have any plan?"
Really, did my wife really just ask me that? Do I have any plans?
Hell yeah, I'm outta there with a GPS on one hand and a bottle of water in the other.....then back again really quickly to get the car keys.....need another hand.
Not a big day numbers wise, just 28 caches (going for those a little off track), but 667km in total driving meant the day was long.
I was a little concerned when I turned up here because of the DNFs that this cache had seen. Alas, never fear, I must have skipped over the owner maintenance log. I do love these old school sites, being a teacher it always makes me think of how easy we have it today.
All signed and replaced. TFTC
