The coords had us searching at the fence thinking the house must belong to the CO. No luck there, so we went to the nest closest place but had no luck there. We decided to have some lunch at the table nearby and it was only after finishing Mrs SKI returned and found the cache using a TOTT close by.We headed out in the car today to cache in the areas surrounding Swan Hill. It was an interesting journey as we traveled through varied farming country, some fruit, crops and scrubby areas. The caching was mixed with straightforward finds and a number of DNFs as we battled the GPSr on some, and others spot on. Many D/T ratings were spot on, but others definitely misleading.A successful if at times frustrating day nonetheless.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sparra0907.**SKI Pair****

Day 7 - homeward bound. I miss my bed, I miss my shower, do I miss my family yeah sure We drove off early into the sunrise - literally! It was very blinding, luckily I cleaned the windscreen before we left. We took our time driving back and picking up a few caches along the way. There were some well done caches and great little towns discovered which made me think I could stay on the road longer, but nah, Ill save that feeling up for next time. This cache: Found early this morning on our way out. The cache was a little off the coords putting us near the fence. And I was expecting something a little smaller. Luckily thin fingers and a natural TOTT helped get the cache out. Tftc!!!

Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is our first visit to Swan Hill and there is sooo much to see and sooo many caches nearby, leaving us spoilt for choice. We headed out early this morning hoping to beat the heat. Very unsuccessful at that and pretty unsuccesful days caching too. Lots of DNF, feeling pretty sad now. Tired, hot and grumpy we gave up just after lunch. We did manage to find this cache. Red FaceTFTC Sparra0907 [^]

This is a cute park tucked away.

I spotted the cache relatively quickly but wasn’t sure how to retrieve the log.

A trip to Bunnings (that was out of stock of special tools) and supercheap auto and I was back now armed with a new tool... nope, it didn’t help!

Hmmm searching through my camping kitchen gear, I had a utensil I haven’t used and wondered what it’s for in the set... well now it’s for caching!

Log signed and sitting at nice new looking park bench eating my salad for lunch.

Thanks for pointing out this quiet park.

Found 6m from the GZ co-ords many others have. Had to use a tool to retrieve. Might need to update the GZ co-ords on this as it looks like many are having trouble. TFTC

Hi there Sparra0907.

We found your cache **"" Buddy's Cache.""** today.

The plan today was to find some more local Swan Hill Caches, and to give some previously un-logged DNF's another chance.

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache 6 metres from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing

Thank you Sparra0907 for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

The geocaching holiday continues with OzHockeyChick, Papi4506 & GeoTurtle37. We finally made it to Swan Hill after an epic drive (100kms in 6hrs). Today is the first day exploring the hill.
After a long search on the previous one it was a much quicker find for this one.

Thanks Sparra0907 for placing the hide!

In contrast to yesterday, which was quite warm, today we battled a cold wind and some heavy rain squalls as we cached our way around the area north west of S.H. in the very good company of Suscoe. This was our first for the day - while the container is a very tight fit, we are not really sure that it fits within the Groundspeak guidelines.

Noticed the interesting log from 'Haiti123' - if they didn't sign thre cache log how can they claim a 'Find'?

Satellites today had our GZ 6m SE of where we found the cache.

Thanks 'Sparra0907' for adding this cache to the game board.

Suscoe and Phetlern were continuing their Swan Hill adventure this morning.
The weather took a change overnight and we woke to cooler temperatures and a cloudy sky.
Rain was also on the horizon and so a quick start was had to see how far we would get on the list for today.

Thanks to Sparra0907 for this hide, a nice start to the day.

Swan Hill Day 2 staying on the riverside.
It was after lunch when we decide to cross the border into NSW & out to Murray downs where we had visited last night. It looked a lot different in the day light. It was then back to VIC & a drive along the edge of the Murray, such a good way to visit the area.
A very nice park area.
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.
Thanks for placing this cache Sparra0907

After a disastrous morning with 3 out of 3 dnfs it was time to change my luck this afternoon. Im generally not a fan of playground caches after a really bad experience with a local at one in NSW but thought this one looked clear so I'll give it a crack. It was only as i was removing the container from its hide i noticed locals out on their nature-strips watching me from both directions! Seriously, doesn't anyone mind their own business anymore? Quickly signed and returned and hightailed it out of there! Oh, and the coords are about 7m off for me too! Thx Sparra, I actually thought it was a pretty good hide.

Out and about today trying to find some caches in Swan Hill. Luckily I spotted something that didn't quite look right when approaching this cache. After checking the coast was clear I confirmed my suspicions and retrieved the container. Thanks for a clever hide.

Found with The Empire and SnapHappy on the second day of our weekend in Swan Hill and surrounds. We decided to extend our search a bit, we all found this to be off about 7-8 metres with three different GPS'rs. But it's still there. Thanks to Sparra0907

Found by The Empire @ 9amish with Snap Happy and sully
The morning of the '6 Months to the event in Alexandra - Swan Hill' event. We cruised around town and picked up some caches before heading to the event for lunch. Seems like this one hadn't been found in a while - Snap was all over it and I prized it out. Co-ords were a bit off but we got there in the end. Thanks for the cache, Sparra0907

The GPSr had us several metres away. Lucky we had a chance meeting with Ramage81 who put us on the right track and we soon had what we were looking for. A nice hide and nice to meet some fellow cachers.

Mr Beetle was on to this one straight away. Retrieving it was a bit tricky so I phoned my imaginary friend again and wandered around to distract the muggle in his front yard nearby. So nice to cache in a park again after a run of roadside caches in the scrub between Ouyen and Swan Hill. Thanks.

Find #6379

Today was day eight of the ahomburg and sharkiefan 2015 road trip to South Australia. While not in South Australia anymore, it was the last day of our SA holiday, and needing around 40 finds to hit 1000 caches over the last nine days, we had high hopes. The weather was absolutely wonderful, we started in Mildura, followed by Swan Hill and finally onto Bendigo.

A very clever piece of camo here. sharkiefan distracted the locals so I could return the cache.

Thanks to Sparra0907 for the cache. TNLN

Thanks there Sparra for a tid bit of local history Big Grin
I always appreciate a cache with a bit or research behind it [^]

And I wandered into the park from the centre of towne to find this cache.
Finding the cache was a tricky affair, but once on the right side of a certain construct,
it appeared quite obvious Razz

A quick check that all the curtains and blinds were closed in the surrounding houses and I soon had me name in the logbook Big Grin

Fave dance time Razz

Day 17 of team Seffnjarah and team Mickjor's trip to Adelaide and beyond. On the homeward legs now.

Stopped in Swan Hill for the night and ducked out early this morning with Jor to find a few caches.

A short stroll in the rain to GZ from the car. Initially our attention was attracted to another feature but we soon ruled that out and turned our attentions elsewhere. Initially Jor reached for something but I warned him against possible danger. Turns out he was right and with some fiddling we had the cache to hand. TFTC.

We found this cache today at 3:00pm as number 29 of 38 on our trip home from Renmark to Melbourne. Co-ords pointed us to the corner of someone's yard but eased ourself away and spotted the the hide. Thanks from D, HA & H B-A.

ID'd the likely spot early in an afternoon visit but felt a bit exposed, despite having my own little buddy along for cover. Returned in the inky blackness. That's the ticket! I didn't know the park was here and it turns out to be a great little spot for the doggie, safe from the traffic and soft underfoot. I also enjoyed the thought and effort that went into the concealment, so it had the works for me. Fave.

12-Jul-14
On our ramble through Swan Hill we came across another of the 'Sparra0907' caches, this time a 'freshly minted cache' in a very quiet part of Swan Hill. It's another crafty cache, though our littleist cacher, 'Miss The Comrade', managed to find this one - with a nudge and a wink from her Dad, 'Mr The Comrade'. With my eyesight I would have spent 'hours' looking.

A quirky location I must say - though depends on which 'side' you approach the hide.

Thank you to 'Sparra0907' for the cache and its location.

With 'The Comrades'.
