GPS had us pointing to a small tree which had a couple of pieces of concrete at the base - a likely candidate. The hint appeared to confirm this.
Were grabbing some caches Se we are headed for Mildura with Noodels22. Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches for our enjoyment.
Found on the 04/08/2017 at 3:51:00 PM.
After a great caching road trip out to the Yorke Peninsula with J+J, we unfortunately met out half way point and had to start heading back home. We had another two power trails to complete on the way though.
After the heavy rain a couple of days earlier, the dirt roads were still soft but managable.
In the end we managed to find 158 caches and make our way back into VIC again. Tomorrow we have to cross back to NSW and hopefully still get our cache find count up.
Thanks for the all the caches.

#6334 - 10:35; Day 4 of the Alice Mega Road Trip with Sol de lune. We are now headed from Barmera to Burra via Overland Corner, Waikerie, Blanchetown and Morgan plus a few other smaller towns. After starting the day by collecting a few caches along the shores of Lake Bonney, we had now reached Waikerie where we collected some of the local caches, including this one. Didn't have time to do the walk but did enjoy some of the views. TFTC krunchieskrew
On the road to the Alice Springs Mega with LuckyL10n. We headed through Hay, Mildura, Loxton, Burra before arriving in Port Augusta for the trek up the highway. Collected a good number of caches and all were found with no issues and the logs were soon signed.
Thanks for the cache and fun in getting to it and finding it.

Was up at Roonka for the weekend for the annual Scout Family Camp but managed to get away for a few hours to grab some caches including a FTF.

Attempted to walk the track with 3 kids but they kept freaking out due to the amount of ants and wearing thongs! Managed to drive in pretty close to GZ. Quick find. TFTC!
In the Riverland to set up a canteen stystem and got the chance to do a bit of caching along the way.
This is a lovely area of Wakerie but I didnt have time to do the walk as I had a PC rollout to do in Berri as well and was heading over there.
Stopped to check out the view then on my way.

Brodie, muggle partner and I were at Berri for an event yesterday at our 'home' for the weekend
Today was head for our real home day and I was supposed to be back in Adelaide by 6.30pm for a meeting but at 8pm, we were just leaving Barmera
There was just too many great spots to visit and caches to find
All up, 40 caches for the day (well, 40 after we had been to bed and slept ) and the last 2 were FTFs which required a small (about 20km) detour from our journey home.
Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.
A very quick find in the dark of night.
I'm glad that I have a 'hand held sun' which made light work of finding this cache
I've loved the river views seen this weekend

Even with four pairs of eyes today we didn't have any luck finding this one. Perhaps it's been muggled? Nice views from here.
What do the newly retired and still young Lost Souls do to celebrate Australia? A quick lap around the block from their secret riverland hideaway to grab a few caches and a Paddlepop.
Never knew this series of lookouts was here! The things you discover caching!
Thanks Krunchieskrew.

Attended a wonderful weekend event at Roonka "Let's Camp and Kayak". Reached my 2000th cache at this event and had such a ball with a great group of cachers. This cache was obtained during the weekend. PERFECT weekend. A long time ago we had a cache a little further up called Picnic Views, placed by my daughter when she was about 10 and my parents were still in good health and lived in Waikerie. Lots of memories of happier healthier times with my parents and family.

Crazy biting ants everywhere. TFTC. Found on our great Aussie Road Trip heading East
Late in the day so took the easy option to this one. We also wanted to get as many done in Waikerie today as possible as it is supposed to rain tomorrow. An easy find for a cacher but not likely to be spotted by the average unobservant muggle. Think geocachers would make good policemen, you certainly learn to be very observant whilst out and about. Thanks.
Found with the geo-crew during a cross country run from Morgan to Hay. So many caches, so little time. We had quite a few miles still to cover so this was the last cache for us in Waikerie today. Many thanks krunchieskrew
We quite enjoyed the walk along the cliff top here today. Great views down to the river.

A quick find almost a driveby after a trip to the local bakery for lunch. Cheers. MODU.
What a beautiful walk, very calming to have the views at the end of the day. Nice hide. Thank you for this beautiful place.
DJ-Dwayne and myself found this one while hubby went looking at cars for sale.

Drove passed a young couple whose car had broken down
Washing hanging from the trees
definately not the right place to stop and wash
Dust from our cars would have covered the washing and I am sure not a camping spot allocated by council
cache easily found

Today is day three of our trip away. We set off for Berri to spend 3 days caching the Riverland area, joined by earthlight and Gwen from The X-Trailers. This was a good opportunity to find (or DNF) caches while trialling out our new tent and camping accessories, gearing up for when we head off to the QLD Mega at the end of March. We started out in temperatures of 38ºc before that first evening brought light showers, although not enough to dull the 41ºc temp for day two. Day three was a much nicer day as the day cooled down to a nice 28ºc. We managed 200+ finds on this trip. On day two we found caches in 3 states in 1 day being SA, VIC & NSW, that was quite a highlight. No snakes were spotted, guess it was too hot for them but we had one roo bound slowly across the road in front of us. Next trip back here will be with the boat, there are plenty of river caches to hunt for and naturally all the ones we didn't have time for. I don't think the muggles camping here with their washing hanging between the trees appreciated the slight amount dust when i drove past but then i don't think they should have been camping here : ) TFTC
The weather had really warmed up by the time we got here, so it was nice to be able to park closeby .
A quick find, but there were ants everywhere, some ending up on us (some we even took with us) .
TNLNSL.
A nice view as well .
Thanks for one more Krunchieskrew.

I've done the cliff walk several times, so took some shortcuts today due to the cold and gloomy weather. A very naturally hidden cache! Cache #2,063.
Sorry to have to confess we took the easy access option. . Would love to do the whole walk sometime though. Thanks
Nice walk with great views. Good test on the leg to see how it goes up and down small hills. TFTC
On me wanderings around towne today, I ended up finding a shady parking spot for the geomobile and enjoyed the 50 metre wander to the edge of towne
Good views
A bit of strolling delivered me to GZ and a very, very well hidden, but obvious to a geocacher, cache hide [^]

A brilliant spot to stretch the legs in the morning. I dusted of the iphone and took this shot (attached)!
Found with the WAFF group - teams[blue] Waldron & Astro, four-fun and Freddo [/blue] on a weekend full of fun, dust, plastic, and clear blue skies. The boys used their combined geo-skills to locate and carefully replace this cache and some of the others nearby.
Clear skies to krunchieskrew from TeamAstro.

The first find on an afternoon of caching around Waikerie with the niece and nephews. Found by my youngest nephew who had the patience to listen to the clues I gave him. TFTC krunchieskrew!
Still leisurely touring South Australia after the Mega
Camped for a few days at Holder Bend we decided to head out and explore town. We started off visiting the tourist info centre then to the Cholcolate shop... Oh wow, oh wow. [:X]
Then off to explore the surrounds and some history.
Sadly there were a few DNF's today but such fantastic weather.
Thanks for the cache and for helping us explore the local area.

Awesome views - won't get stumped by this one Tftc - mate Paul from Perth found this one.
Coordinates changed from:
S 34° 10.978 E 139° 59.591
Coordinates changed to:
S 34° 10.973 E 139° 59.586
Distance from original: 39.6 feet or 12.1 meters.
After a comment from MoneyDork and also a local caching mate that my co-ordinates for this cache were a bit out I thought a re-visit was in order- and indeed they did seem a bit out
hopefully these new co-ordinates are closer to the action.
