I followed the directions but couldn't find anything that matched the hint so retraced and took a higher route where I spotted the cache and retrospectively worked out what the hint referred to. TFTC # 20813
Howling gale on the point. Glad of my down jacket. Found on second intense look over the hint object. Thanks for the hide.

Found! One log has been wet and is smushed up like a tissue through the wash. Second log is perfect.
We headed over to Diamond Harbour today, picking up a number of caches here and there. A great day for it and lots of pleasant scenery along the way! Took a brief moment to locate this one, a fraction further on from where we thought it might have been! #5062. TFTC.
I'm currently down in Christchurch geocaching with my brother tbird 53. Today we came over to Diamond Harbour picking up geocaches, going on walks and enjoying the scenery. Picturesque spot here, TFTC
The bay is named after the British MP Lord Elco, 9th Earl of Weymss and March altho it's really Te Wharau, but who would know any of that, apart from Google. A delightful walk from Hayes Bay on a hot sunny ANZAC Day . Glad to be scrambling towards the obvious hint in dry weather. Tftc
We had purchased takeaways in Diamond Harbour and this was the perfect spot to sit and eat and let the kids explore - so that's what we did. Cheers
Out for a Saturday afternoon drive, stopped off to try settle the car sickness and thought there may be something here
We packed a picnic and went for a lovely drive. Our mission was to find some solved puzzle and other caches.
A lovely spot for photos. Found the cache sitting out in the open when the hint was so obvious. Signed log and put back into its post. Thanks for this cache quakecity.

We launch our Kayak here quite often, never thought to look for the cache thats here though.
Cheers and thanks,

Eldest son was taking part in sailing from over at Cass B so I decided to make the most of the early start to my day and drive around Lyttelton Harbour. Something I have been wanting to do for a while but no one else in the family wanted to do. Far too long sitting in the car.
My plan was to drive as far as possible around the harbour and then walk to the three caches I was focused on getting. That way I would know how much time I had to get back in time to pick my son up. The one thing with solo caching is you need to drive and navigate at the same time. As there was a car close behind me and I wanted to go slower than probably the locals would I saw a safe place to pull off the road and turned in. Once parked in the shade of trees out came the GPSr to see if there was any near by.
Yes there was one! The hint had me confused at first so I focused on getting as close to GZ as possible, by which stage I understood what it meant.
Lovely view, log signed and headed back to the car to plan which cache I would find next. Thanks for placing this cache.

After a lovely day at Orton Bradley, as weather was fine, we went to the beach to grab this one. We looked in a few places before we found it. We didn't find any surprise in the cache, but the place was nice. Thanks for taking us here! Both container and logbook were in good condition.
On the way to Diamond Harbour
Stayed at Orton Bradly, stunning place to stay
Took us a while to find this one.

A lovely drive over to littleton and diamond bay. Stopped a couple of times for caches. First stop and a quick find after a short clamber. Tftc
Found on a caching journey into Mid Canterbury today with Bitsprayer and Erninz. All caches found in good condition. Really enjoyed the challenge and the many hours spent on the puzzles caches to unravel the coordinates. Also great to travel along the many roads in the area. Many thanks to the various cache owners for placing and maintaining their caches. TFTC
Had a great day out and about caching in Canterbury, many thanks to all the cache placer's.Thanks Bitsprayer
A nice wander along the waters edge, a quick yarn with a muggle in the boatshed and then a sramble.
Thanks

After a short walk I arrived at gz. Lots of places to look and the gps didn’t help by pointing me out into the water! Reading the hint, I worked out where it should be but had only a quick look as the bank was very slippery today and I felt a little awkward being virtually in someone’s backyard. I will return some other day when my knees don’t hurt as much! This was DNF number two for the day to go with fourteen finds. Thanks for the cache anyway. Rodney.
Had a decent look here but the neighbours were out and about in their garden and nothing seemed to show itself so we decided to leave it for today.
We looked for a while but we couldn't quite figure out the hint or find the cache. Also, we felt like we were on someone's property so eventually we gave up. Great views here.
I planted a tree for my 23rd birthday at this geocache. Please give it some love and water if needed.
Well, I found the old paper log, fluttering around in the breeze, no plastic bag or container. Thankfully, I had a few containers in my bag so I placed the old paper log, which was suffering water and snail damage, into a plastic bag and then in my container. Also added another plastic bag with a couple of pieces of waterproof paper as a replacement log. The container is a camoed , approx 50ml pill container. Have placed as well under as I could. So now the surprise will be that you are no longer looking for something that is a medium size, interesting container! (Could have been worse, I could have used an eclipse mint tin!!) Thanks for this cache it will need some urgent attention to bring up to scratch, but at least there is a substitute container for now!
Bit of a scramble but found a log book easily enough. Not really a container to put log in but returned it to it’s donut and replaced as found.
Found after going the wrong way to start with. Log out in the open in a broken bag. Replaced as well as we could. Needs some tlc from the Co. Tftc
My inlaws were down visiting for the week, so some caching was planned. The day was pretty hot, so we didn't get as much caching done as we wanted to.
Only a logbook and log sheet found today. Thanks for the cache

Down in Christchurch for a week,a day out caching with 2wombles. Thanks Quakecity for the cache.
We looked but couldn’t find it. Given previous comments we assume that it is gone now.
TFTC.
No sign of ‘medium container.’ Log sheet was discovered in a broken snaplock bag on its own. Owner may need to replace container.

No surprise, only a plastic bag and log tucked away, did not have a container to fix it up with but tucked it away again
Cold winters day but still good for a geocache. Plastic bag and log all dry which surprised me considering where it was. TFTC.
Out on a caching adventure with daughter and granddaughter to have some fun! The youngest one did not like looking back and having limited involvement in the roadside finds, so we trying to mix it up a bit. TFTC!!!

I was keen to go find some caches, so was mum, but hubby had ditched me to go off attempt to go hunting, and I needed my fix!! So we took the baby with anyways - but it was quite tough to go caching like this!! She hates the car seat! Argh!!! Luckily she slept the first bit, but in the end we had to find caches that were not roadside to get the baby out of the car, so the find count wasn't super great today! But it was something!!
Mum made the find here while we ate our lunch!

Tftc!!! Lovely spot.. GC takes places we've past a million times and never stopped... 2nd for today... aiming for 10... fun find
25/02/17 - Just got back to UK after 6 weeks in New Zealand during which time I found just over 500 caches. I'd didn't get time to log them all at the time so catching up now. Nice spot. TFTC
As others have said the cache was just a plastic bag and log. Log is still dry and easily signed. Nice view from the area the cache was placed in.
TFTC!

After staying at a beautiful bed and breakfast in Diamond harbour we found a few caches on our way home. TFTC
On our way to Christchurch we stopped to grab a few caches on the way. Staying at nearby campsite so grabbed this one on the way past. Nice quick find. TFTC
Stopped by after staying at a nearby campsite. Not sure what the hint item was but cache located still no container, but log still in good condition TFTC
#12765. The hint object wasn't entirely obvious, but once I worked out where it was the 'cache' (log book in plastic bag) was quickly spotted. The hiding place is nice and dry and the logbook is in good shape. TFTC.
The puzzles in the D/T series with solutions on the other side of the harbour have been beckoning us for a while and today, with the mild weather forecast, seemed an ideal opportunity to turn as many as possible into smiles.
It's been a while since we were last in Charteris Bay and luckily the time of year meant we had the place to ourselves. Very happy to see a toilet there (even if it is of the long drop variety) so made use of it while StreetWalker went off in search of the cache. Once in the right place, the cache was a quick find - or should I say the log book was a quick find as that's all we could see.
Enjoyed the views, then off on our mission for the days. TFTC.

Found the trackable. Cache has no container. Not sure if that was on purpose? TFTC
Over this way exploring and caching. Spent a bit of time looking here and actually visited GZ twice before the cache was found - TNLNSL. The coords had me away from the cache which probably prolonged my search. Thanks for the placement quakecity.

Thank you for the cache and greetings from two Czechs!

We'd been in Church Bay visiting friends so had to drive right past here. The lovely Mrs Rincewind stopped here so I could grab the cache. No drama getting to the GZ and the find was easy enough.
The cache container isn't a type that's particularly water tight though, and this one is starting to perish and crack.

Crampons may have been useful. Container is munted. Will leak in the next good rain or snowfall. thanks☺
Found the cache. But the thing that made me smile was the hidden beer I found. Was hidden like a cache. Replaced that as found so owner can enjoy in the future. Tftc
On Tour together with Sabe73 as Team "TheBros" around South Island to visit some nice spots.
We also visited this location and could find the box almost quickly.
Thank you for showing us this place and of course for the Cache.
Greetings from Carinthia/Austria.

Tasks for Log-Permission (Earth, Challange, Virtual aso.) might be delayed.

[green] Out with Hanknstone again, doing a miscellaneous set starting with the Smile series and then working on the D\T group. After caching the last couple of days in the rain is was nice to finish the day with dry feet - sunny all day! (Surprise!).
Not really into finding traditionals on this trip. We are working the D/T series. But we stopped here anyway.

Beautiful wild weather views across the Bay with the black clouds and wind blowing a gale but it was nicely sheltered where we were parked. Found the cache just where we thought it would be. TFTC Quakecity.
In Christchurch for the MEGA this weekend and out and about to find some local caches. Luckily a lovely sunny day, although the easterly wind was a bit cool in exposed places, but a fun day out with some great scenery.

We parked in the nearby carpark and took the track around to GZ. Stopped and checked a few spots before deciding that yes it will be there. A short scramble later and we were rewarded with the find. Thanks.
Thought we were out of luck with some muggles doing a spot of fishing. But wandered past and were out of sight. Lovely spot. Tftc
This weekend Mrs Dragon and I took a longer break than normal as a chance to catch up with a few friends and collect the odd cache or two all on a grabaseat deal from home.
Thankfully the weather stayed most excellent throughout and we managed to see many of the sights that we had not visited previousley.
Travelling back from Akaroa for lunch and collecting a few caches along the way via Diamond Harbour (as had never been this way before). Driving along some of these spots remids us both of parts of the Coromandel drive along little bays
So again thank you for the FUN of the hunt

Found while setting up to run from here to diamond harbour. I needed a bit of mental preparation because the wind is soo cold! Thanks for having a cache here.
Found with Victoriousone and cachlets. Lovely view today, just stunning but the wind was freezing!! Thanks for placing a cache here.
TFTC. Out and about for a few hours on the Port Hills as it was such a lovely day for the first day of winter.
I seem to have joined lots of road cyclists, off road cyclists, motor bikers, walkers and runners.
I decided to carry on around the coast before heading back towards town.
Nice little spot for a cache and I really appreciate the safe parking nearby.
Thanks Quakecity for placing the cache.
