27-Sep-24
Found on a brief stop over on way to maryborough.Met jml always good to see other cachers.

A little bit of. While waiting for lunch

22-Sep-24
A short search in the obvious location soon had this found. Cute turtle.Another morning waking in the campgrounds in the bush near Maryborough, where there were no other campers but us, all the facilities, nice bush setting and the mumma magpie. She's there, but not feisty this morning. Or realises we are no threat and left us alone!Today was about getting to Brisbane, but still time to stop for caches along the way. Our longest driving distance for a while, the casual full caching days of the past will have to wait for another day as traffic was heavy and a bit slow so drove past many caches, or didn't make the detours we like, in favour of making it without delays.Another great camp ground in the quiet bush found, enjoyed it for a short time before heading to the airport. Thanks for your cache to enjoy along the way.

22-Sep-24
Finished another long trip around Australia. The 6th. Finished trip to Townsville to grab the Palm Island LGA. Now only 2 LGAs to complete Australia.Firstly heading back south for some Canberra time.TFTC. The trip from Maryborough to Deception Bay was painful. So much traffic it was completely stopped many times. Still stopped for a few caches and an Ad Lab but had to be very careful to firstly figure out how to get back into the traffic easily. Traffic puzzle time.Nice quick find.

Spotted this cache quickly then felt like a horticultural vandal reaching it. Its a great spot for a cache though and we enjoyed the find breaking up our trip. Thanks for placing it in such a good location. FP given. As others have commented, the lid is broken but the position protects the contents. Tftc.

On my way back from another day trip to Hervey Bay, I just had to stop by here again and give it another crack. Fortunately this time it was a quick find, too easy as a matter of fact. Was mostly exposed, only hidden by the thin veil of the bushes. After signing the log I put it back where the hint was fitting. Thanks for the fun Sweet-Sour/youngoldfella.

A pretty cool shelter with the local animal species; I was surprised that we didn't stop here as a family when we travelled through Tiaro in January, but perhaps we were running out of time (light) by then. A quick cache find once we were at the correct elevation, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks [Sweet-Sour](https://coord.info/PR5XJWJ) for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.----------During this trip, I travelled with [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) (who was visiting from Adelaide, SA) and we visited Maryborough for an extended weekend.Friday was the drive north, which involved the full day with stops in Nambour, Eumundi, Pomona, Gympie, Tiaro, and Maryborough, and highlights included the *Evil* series and the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series. The weekend's two days prioritised the *Jolly Brolly Folly* (JBF) series and *Geocaching 101* series, with a Sunday afternoon trip to Utopia Falls. Finally, Monday's itinerary included a few last geocaches that were in town, and we then returned home via Beaver Rock, Maaroom, and Tin Can Bay.A fun and rewarding trip with great company and friends, and we were rewarded with good weather throughout our trip.Today, [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) and I commenced the drive north with a few [Freddo](https://coord.info/PR8C14) targeted D-T geocaches in the Sunshine Hinterland, so we stopped in Woombye and Nambour, before continuing our trip north. I had a targeted Eumundi geocache to find (as it was a non-market day today), and we then spent a couple of hours visiting the *Evil* series nearby to Pomona. After having a bakery lunch in Gympie, we continued north, stopped in Tiaro, and then progressively stopped more as we neared Maryborough. We spent a few hours finding a few geocaches in the *Big Aussie Day Bash* series, and then took a loop around Police Paddock Conservation Park. As the light faded, we caught up with [Liz and Bruce](https://coord.info/PR68BB).

Quick find here. No trouble at all. Love the view.Freddo traveled north from deep south to catch up with friendly Liz and Bruce and the RV Home base crew. David Wazza provided a sturdy vehicle and we traveled in style. We had good weather. Not to hot. Not to rainy. Lovely one day and perfect the next. The caches were found in a blur of Which Is Next and Where Are We Going Now. Some caches were harder to find than others. Some caches we could see from the car. Regardless all caches were found in the last place we looked.I will apologize right now, because everything from here on is here solely for the purpose of padding the word count and winning that one hundred word diamond badge again. Somebody moved the goal posts. This particular geocache was found using one of the following GPS enabled devices, Garmin GPSr, Montana 680t, Oregon 650 or Dakota 20 and an Apple iPhone 11 using the marvelous Cachly app. Waypoints and paperless geocaching were downloaded via GSAK 9. Log prepared, checked and submitted using GSAK publish logs macro.Warning, this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Beware: you may have fun. Apologies for the generic part of the cache log. We do apologise for the generic logs. Thanks to all the cache owner for placing this cache here for our enjoyment. Thanks for the cache. Merci la cache. Danke fr den Cache. Gracias por el cach. Many, many more times than I'd like to admit, I have driven through or visited Tiaro on the way through. Alas, the joys of having family both in Hervey Bay and the greater Munna Creek area. I have stopped specifically at this rest area dozens of times on the way back and forth, especially before it was me that was driving. Sadly, these trips are now no longer required, but the familiarity with this little town remains. Mostly.

This afternoon I was with oz_bean_counter and a muggle friend driving back home from Biggenden. Sadly for us, it would pan out to be a 12-hour day door-to-door and we still had a lot of kilometres left to go. But, after cutting the Maryborough corner, we popped out here on the highway. Rest break required.

I goofed up. I always knew you went to the back of this park for best access. But it's been upgraded and best access is from the highway. I recalled this after we parked in the overnight camp area and had to trek up the hill to the toilet block. Ah well.

While there I whipped out my phone and of course there is a geocache here. And right next to the big turtle that I wanted to look at anyways. I headed over, soon followed by OBC who worked out what I was up to. Then judged me for taking my usual planking selfie on the sculpture. Onto the geocache.

Both of us were fossicking about when our muggle friend wandered up, chuckling at how un-subtle we looked. OBC then quickly made the find at 17:15. Nice to grab a bonus smiley for our very long, and otherwise single-find day. Thanks for this geocache, Sweet-Sour Smile

Stopped in Tiaro to grab a bite to eat on our way to Maryborough for the long weekend. Had our lunch at the lovely park before completing the nearby earthcache and returning to find this nice and quickly before reading the information in the shelter. Thanks Sweet-Sour

22-Apr-23
Stopping for lunch in Tiaro today, we grabbed our salad rolls and caramel lattes and came over to enjoy the very nice little local park. Thoroughly enjoyed reading the story on the totem poles of the Mary River, and admiring the artwork both above and below. Our initial search, with arms laden full of food and drink, proved unsuccessful, but after lunch we had another try, and DisSister came up with the goods pretty quickly this time. It’s lucky we bring her with us. Thanks for encouraging us to stop here! It was a very pleasant location. TFTC, Sweet-Sour. =^.^=

22-Apr-23
Stopped here for a bite to eat and picked up the cache on our way through. A great park here with a lot of history. TFTC

10-Apr-23
Found after a quick search and between muggles. Did need a small hint from a previous log before i found it which was embarrassing given the size of the container. How did i miss that initially. TFTC

Most wizards stay in Unseen University or practice in towns wealthy enough to support their fees, whereas most witches get a position in a village in remote rural areas like the Ramtops.

07-Apr-23
Out caching with CaptainVimes. After pushing through the wet bushes, we made a quick find. Thanks for the fun Sweet-Sour

Found by Mary and David at 14:50. Checked out Tiaro Hideaway first, but muggles at the pub were watching, so we came here instead. One clip of the container is missing, but still secure. Our thanks to Sweet-Sour.

We were here a year or so ago . Mist this cache muster had cache blindness.. Found it easy this time.. tftc

19-Dec-22
Spent 15 minutes looking under the building next door, using geo son's phone, put new set batteries into my GPSr and behold, a set of coords put us in the better GZ, where a cache was quickly found, signed and replaced with muggles blissfully unaware of the two blokes cleaening stuff from the garden beds below, I think they were more interested in getting photo with the large Turtle, Thanks for the hide, Sweet-Sour, all is in good condition

18-Dec-22
So, having left Bundaberg after seeing the turtles the night before, time for a stop at Tiaro to change drivers, grab a drink visit the Christmas shop and a bite to eat.
Have been here before and done the Earthcache, but not been ale to find this one - maybe because I was looking in totally the wrong place...
Had the geo=dad with me to deflect muggles as I looked in a few extra places today. That seems to work, as we soon had it in hand, so now this has my squiggle in it too.
Thanks for the cache and bringing me here!

02-Dec-22
Alyce and I making the most of the kidless weekend and decided to head to Bundaberg for some caching, sight seeing and some alone time. It’s something we’re trying to organise every month when the kiddies are spending the weekend at their dad.

We grabbed the earthcache and decided to grab this cache while here. We found the cache after dismissing several spots at first. Due to several muggles being present, we had to try our best to be discreet.

Thanks for bringing us here.

We stopped in town for coffee, lunch and caches. It seems we were too late for lunch but managed to get coffee.
After doing the earthcache nearby I looked for this one whilst the rest of the family examined the information above.
I tried etching our name in the soaking log book but just tore the page with my efforts so took a photo as proof of find.
Thanks Sweet-Sour

29-Aug-22
Maybe one of the next hunters could bring a new logbook and bag

14-Aug-22
Nice easy one for our potty break! Log is soaked through and needs replacing. Tftc!

06-Aug-22
found the laminated cache not first in the open and had worries for the safety of the cache, but it was where it was supposed to be. Signed the log and returned the cache not to where it was supposed to be and replaced the cache.

We have moved on from Caboolture and wound our way north to Woodgate. Not much caching to be done but some relaxing time walking and riding along the beach and catching up with family.

Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sweet-Sour.

Pa and I are travelling towards Hervey Bay from Kilkivan but stopped in this quaint little town for morning tea and a look around. We ate coffee and biscuits from the cafe . While waiting I checked my map for caches and discovered that there was indeed a cache here.

I wandered up and thought that I was going to have real trouble looking for the cache as it certainly is muggle central at that time of day. However I was staggered to find it lying in the open with log scattered. An easy pick up, enmptied the water out of the container, photographed the log and then tidied it all up and placed it in line with the hint. TFTC sweet-sour

I found this cache with CJDenno tonight. We found the traditional first and then worked on the Earth Cache. After looking at the hint, I looked for geo-trails and then found the container. The log was a bit wet but it was fine enough to write on.

I visited 2 TB

Nice easy find here with PrezDough. We are heading north to catch up up with family and PrezDough made the grab.
Log soon signed and off we went.
The cache is great. The container and log are a little damp, but it’s ok to write.
Now to check out the earth cache.
I visited 5 TB.

Up early this morning & off to find the FTF unleashed by Team JLBL & like all those preceding us no luck finding this one!!! But we aren’t claiming an DNF, just accepting partial frustration.

& I looked for what seemed forever unmolested by muggles at 8:30am in the morning.

So leaving that location we had more success down the road at the challenge caches and then off to Tiaro & onward to our main hunting ground in the Kilkivan area.

Starting our day before the sun came up, we finished it a couple of hours prior to the sun coming up the next day, Simply because a FTF opportunity came up just after we arrived home & had started to relax. So at Midnight we sent off for a bicycle ride along the gateway to finally claim a FTF for the day or was that for tomorrow???
Don’t care!!! Going home to sleep sleep .

found this one years ago & was surprised it’s still in play & in reasonable condition.

28-May-22
We tried our luck at this one this morning after gathering answers for the nearby earth cache but unfortunately this was an endless stream of coffee sipping muggle enjoying the sunshine in this great little area so we didn't want to compromise the cache, we will try again next visit.

24-Apr-22
Found as I make my way home to Adelaide after attending the Mega event at Townsville.

After camping (in the rain) near Maryborough last night I had an easy day travelling about, checking out the sights and picking up a few caches of interest along the way.

Thanks Sweet-Sour for the cache.

24-Apr-22
Having met e.gregory1 in the park, we continued our chat as we searched for this one. Luckily it was early enough, that no too many muggles were about. Found safe and sound.

24-Apr-22
Feeling exceedingly conspicuous searching around GZ, I then made a show of taking lots of photos of bushes, ‘Tiaro Rocks’ and various other pieces in interest. Hopefully they just thought I was a weirdo…lol (not far wrong) TFTC

14-Apr-22
We are on our way to spend Easter in Maryborough with Youngoldfella.

Took the opportunity to get away for the weekend to Maryborough. The roads are busy so it was good to take a break here and there fir a cache or two.

The geokids found this one, it helps to be short sometimes!
The geokids also helped reduce suspicion, as it was muggle city in this park this afternoon!
A quick stop to stretch the legs and check out the nearby Earthcache. So grabbed this one too!
Thanks For The Cache!

On the way back to Brisvegas from a weekend in Bundaberg my husband and i picked up a couple of smileys on the way home and we decided to have lunch at this nice little park. There were a few muggles around and we had to use all our stealthy powers. My husband pretending to check out the structure and i made sure no one was looking and then he spotted the hide . Thankyou for taking us here and for placing this cache here for us to enjoy
