I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi CrettiThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Was in the area caching today, cache gone and not likely to be replaced, C.O gone too, hasn't cached in 5 years. Needs archiving.
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
The elder Future Finder and I are heading North for a family Boxing day event and we decided to take State Highway 16 for a change. I have driven past this spot a few times, but I didn't stop previously due to traffic and time constraints. No such issues today so I pulled in and got to searching. I found the hide in the second spot I checked. The long grass wasn't the obstacle I feared it would be; it helps to be one one side of the fince rather than the other. As others have pointed out the camo tape is long gone. Cheers for the cache placement!
North Island Campervan trip Day 10
After the fantastic holiday I had a few months ago traveling around the South Island, making the most of one of those incredibly cheap campervan deals available at the time, I figured it was worth taking a week off work before the stresses of the usual holiday period to enjoy some of the delights to be found around the top of the North Island.
This would be a great chance for me to seek out some targeted caches such as the TMGT ones as well as some that would help me with my Jasmer grid, missing minutes (for a couple of challenge caches I'm working on) and any other caches that caught my eye.
Last night was spent near the centre of Whangarei, so that I could spend a few hours caching around there before starting my drive back to Auckland. That was always assuming the weather played ball of course lol!
So now I was hitting the road to head south again. Having reached Wellsford, the road traffic advice was to avoid Warkworth so I decided to use the alternative route SH16 having never driven it before.
Sadly, the aspect of this that I hadn't predicted was the lack of cell coverage, so whilst I could see that there was a cache somewhere here, I had no access to the Hint or previous logs. I still had a bit of a hunt around what I thought the obvious hiding spots could be, but the grass is so long that you could almost have hidden a hippo in it! After a few minutes I left empty handed.

Second DNF in a row. The last person to find this nearly a year ago said it wasn’t at the hint location. In February a year later the grass is incredibly thick and we found nothing.
Took a lot of kerthunking to find it. His_old_lady expanded the search area from what was given by the clue, and came up with the find. Thanks for the cache.
Clearly blind to the camo as we searched the hint item for a good few minutes and managed to miss it completely.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap)... We had a couple of jobs to complete yesterday, and unexpectedly stayed the night in nearby Wellsford. Being unprepared was an experience, but we managed nevertheless... We were in the area this April, and were keen to have another shot at the caches along Highway 16, So here we go...
We arrived to find a sign stating that the walkway was closed due to Kauri Dieback... At least there is a premium camo cache job here... Well, we got a bit of a chuckle out of that one... TFTC.

Real goal today was a multi in the area which we missed last time we were here.
Rest of the day was mostly like yesterday with weather and cache finds but great to find caches that have had DNF's against them. SLTFTC

I had been looking for a new place to go for a training jaunt for the upcoming Taupo Ultra Marathon and the Mt Auckland walkway looked like it would fit the bill. I had also been made aware quite a few months ago by a fellow Northland cacher, of a neat gadget cache series near to here, so a plan was hatched to do the walkway early in the day and then move on to doing as many of the gadget caches as possible afterward.
Was a bit late getting away from Whangarei, so it was after 10:30 before I stopped here for this one. I'm not sure where the parking area was, but I stopped in the entrance right by the gate anyway and the cache was soon found in the hint location. The log was very wet, but I just managed to make a half legible impression. The camo now seems to be non existent as well, unfortunately. TFTC

I was out collecting caches for the hidden creatures souvenirs today. I headed out from Maungatapere this morning. I spent the morning in Mangawhai and then headed out this afternoon to Kaukapakapa to add to my total. The cache was full of water but I made some impression on the log. Thanks
Out on a fitness walk getting ready to do the Milford Track at the end of March. Last one for today. Tim the Turtle trackable is not in the cache. Thanks Cretti.
Not exactly where the hint says it would be but close enough and probably more secure. Camo tape long gone by the looks of it. Guess it failed.
Greetings from across the Ditch. This was a nice quick find as one team member spotted it from the right angle and the other went in for the pick up. There was water in the container but the log was dry in its separate bag. Drained the water out before replacing the log and putting the container back into place. Our thanks go to Cretti for giving us a reason to stop here.
Looked for this one previously in the rain. Guess I didn't look hard enough last time. TFTC.
#3995. The last day of my short visit to Auckland and closing in on 4000 finds. Decided a trip up north was in order to pick up a special cache. Just needed to find 14 other caches on the way. Parked close by and a quick search of the most likely objects soon revealed the cache. No sign of any camo or trackable however. Signed the log and replaced where found. Thanks for the cache.
Pouring down with rain is my excuse, and I am sticking to it, for why this simple find took me far too long.
Vistra decided he was going to push for his 11,00th this weekend, but he needed to grab a few to get him closer, so I tagged along for the ride and help with the finds.
I have a cache at the top but havent collected the ones that have been placed since, so this was a nice park and grab by me as Vistra has already found this before. TFTC

We were returning from a ftf raid at Atiu Creek Regional park and as there had been a find since my dnf I thought I'd stop and see if I could turn that frown upside down. Looks like the container was replaced as it was a quick find and a nice dry clean log.

We had a beautiful day of caching in Atiu with 16 FTFs. collecting few caches on the way back to home and this was one of them. tftc.

Not sure about the test. No tape on it! Or it worked so well that I couldnt see it (the tape, I mean). Thanks.
(1994) Passing through today, so stop in to grab this cache. Soon had cache in hand with log signed before continuing home. TFTC
Quick find on the way back to Auckland. Cache container is in good condition. TFTC
Heading home from a long weekend this was available as a quick stop and grab. A straight forward find and we will be back to do the Mt Auckland tramp again some time. Just not today.
We spent 4 incredibly wonderful weeks in New Zealand for vacation and
had a lot of fun to discover all the marvels of this country.
Day 7 - we continued driving south down the west coast to Auckland and had two nice breaks.
One in the Arai-Te-Uru Recreation Reserve, and the other in the Waipoua Forest,
the home to the country's largest Kauri Tree, Tane Mahuta.
Besides we still found time for geocaching and picked up quite a few caches on our way.
This was one of them!

From 19th February to 20th March Stadibast and I visited New Zealand. Half of the time we made a trip around the North-Island. After a short stay in Auckland we went to: Bay of Islands, Cape Reinga, Rotorua and the Wai-o-Tapu-Thermal Wonderland, the great Taupo-lake… We made a Rafting Tour in the Waitomo-Glowworm-caves or hiked the Tongariro –Alpine-Crossing and, and…
In the second part of our holidays we visited the south island, hiked in the Abel-Tasman-Reserve , went to the Marlborough-Sounds, the Golden Bay, the Oparara-Arch, the Franz-Josef- and Fox-Glaciers, had a great sight on Mt. Cook and Mt. Tasman, relaxed at the Wanaka- and Hawea-Lakes,….
New Zealand is a very amazing country and with exceptional natural sites. We are very impressed of these great nature monuments and sights and we are happy that we met so much friendly and helpful people.
A great view..
Greetings from Germany.

#10819. I didn't even know there was a Mt Auckland. Not time for the walk today, but enough time for a park and grab. TFTC.
Today we are leaving Auckland after spending 3 weeks exploring and caching around the city and we are heading northwards, destination: Algies Bay.
We weren't intending to have a walk today, but needed somewhere to turn the car around after checking out Glorit (nothing much to see here) and a cache as well as a turning point seemed ideal. StreetWalker did the cache hunting while I did the car manoeuvres . TFTC.

On our way to Atiu Creek Regional Park with Newlynnfam to meet other cachers for some camping. Stopped off along the way to do some caching.
On way up north with UncleSamNZ to go camping over the New Year period with some of our caching buddies (Team SEAC). Turned out that we were way ahead of everyone else in terms of our ETA, so we decided to stop off to do some caching.
A nice quick find here by UncleSam, and junior NewlynFam traded some swag. Container seems fine!

Good condition. Came out with the Auckland Ladies Tramping group. Nice end to a good walk.
For a caching weekend away with the HKCB this was a late but welcome start in this great peice of countryside that I had never visited before.
So after having spent a caching trip in a bed, and having had a shower (so this must be how normal cachers start their day when caching) while getting a tour of the Albertlanders History defore heading south.
This was a nice and quick find, I'm hoping that another day I will be back to collect the caches along this trail
Great spot for the cache and we were happy to have the place to ourselves.
thanks for brining me to this spot to enjoy the surrounds.

Came by this way heading back home after a failed attempt doing the Atiu power trail due to heavy rain, while it has been raining heavily it isn't at the moment while I'm arriving here. The cache was too easily spotted, quite in the open so after doing signing duties, and leaving a TB, I put it away and left some grass upon it.
I have done this Mnt Auckland walk before but before I got into Geocaching, I must do it again soon!!
Thanks for placing the cache.

We stopped and found the cache but today it was full of water so we cleaned it out and dried it out as best we could. The log book is damp but at this stage okay. TFTC
Only a quick park and grab today….. just in case we run out of time to solve all your other pesky field puzzles. Camoed tape container is pretty effective and still nice and dry, TFTC.
If we had the time, we would have done the walk but we were just travelling through the area. Easy find. TFTC

Well, todays weather forecast was for rain, all day, and they got it right. Very right indeed. I don't know about a cache mobile, today a waka would have been more fitting or even an ark. Got enough piggies and puppies to exceed the two by two rule too.
Target for today was a couple of letterboxes, a few unique Southern minutes of degrees for a challenge cache I'm creeping ever closer to achieving and anything else that I decided to stop in the pouring rain to try and write and get every single drop of rain down my neck.
Onto the main business of the day. Head along the linking road up to Kaipara Road then back down SH1 via Warkworth and some other places.
Tape is starting to come unstuck a little, not ctitically so though
T F T C , too wet to think about the walk

Out today with a muggle friend to tramp up Mt Auckland. First find on our way up the mountain. TFTC
Catching up on long overdue logging.
Parents & I had been holidaying in Ruakaka for a week.
Unfortunately it was our last day and we were heading back to Kaukapakapa, to meet Hubby for his rugby game.
Only a couple of caches between Wellsford & KKK that I haven't already found, so thanks for this cache to break up the drive.
Although I could have lept out for the find by myself, we all got out to stretch our legs and talk to the cache guardians. The cud chewing girls all came over to see us, when we pulled up. TFTC

Great to have another cache out this way Cretti ! Was on way up north but need to come back one day to do this walkway !
Thank goodness we don't have to do the walk today. Just a quick find and on our way. Tftc.
Quick find at the start of the track - I am hoping I'll be back before too long to find the others. t4tc
Nice quick stop on the way up north. Will be back to do the walkway when it isn't quite so persistently teeming with rain. TFTC
Grabbed it on the way out of the carpark, did appreciate the cache to mark the entrace.

Having already done hikes around Wenderholm Regional Park, Dunn's Bush and Puhoi today, I still had a few hours of daylight left so I made the decision to squeeze in one more hike and ventured out to Mt Auckland! I drove around to the northern end first, just to locate this cache, then returned to the Southern end for the hike. The gate was shut, so I just parked in the entrance where the cache was quickly found! TFTC! (The tape still seems to be holding well)
A good find and the taping is standing up very well to the elements. Better than paint for plastic. Thank you
Overshoot the driveway, then had to back track just a little. Parked nearby, then after a short search the cache was found. I thought initially the cache was covered with the stuff used on school books! wrong, so far its doing the job. No walking, just driving home after a long weekend away. Thanks for the hide.
Home ward bound after a busy caching weekend with Rustynz, cache number 39 so far. Took my friendly moo cow for a country outting Tftc.
Alright, so I took the lazy out. Ran the trail across the mountain starting at the other end, then came back here with the car to make the find. Cheers for the cache.
Found with Redants while on our Far North Road Trip to the Winterless North. We found ourselves in some interesting places that we would not have visited had we not been searching for caches. Thanks to all the cache owners.
We found this cache on a 2 week trip around Northland, visiting such locations as Opononi, Kaitaia, Cape Reinga, Russell, among many other places. Nice place, TFTC
Heading south today finding caches as we travelled along the roads of NZ.
There were some great scenic locations, the country side so lush & green.
Thanks for placing this cache Cretti
After a great tramp up on Mt. Auckland, was glad for a quick park and grab. Camo looks great!!! TFTC.
First find of the evening with funkymunkyzone on a night caching run up north. Your test passes with a green tick from me!
The cache contained a nice fresh log and so I scored a joint (FTF) with funkymunkyzone.
Thanks!
