Long grass and grassseeds put me off searching more thoroughly. Great view over Adelaide from carpark.

27-Oct-24
I looked at a very logical spot, what I found on the picture is the only item that hints that a geocache once was there. Unless I missed it big time, of Course.

I submitted a maintenance log because contents are wet and mush, but afterwards realised the CO hasn't been active since 2016 so the next chance I get, I'll come back and see what I can do.

Rode my e-bike to the lookout. My first test of steep roads. It went well but still made me work hard. I had to park the e-bike because I couldnt see a way to get past the gate without ending up with the e-bike on top of me. It was a lovely day for a walk so all good. Quick find. I was very surprised when I heard a vehicle coming towards me as I climbed back up to the gate and was passed just before by a Park Ranger's vehicle.I got to the gate just as the lady ranger was struggling to unlock it. She got a bit of a fright when I strolled up next to her.*Contents very damp. Log sheets mush. I added my own (dry) page but that will be wet by now. I enjoyed the whole experience. Took the Californian Cockroach for a drive into the Eastern Suburbs and ended up at the top of Coach Road. I remember coming here as a teenager, I also remember a lot of anti-social behaviour occurring up here during the SAFM skyshows during the 80's and 90's.
So parked the car and the wife and I made the short stroll to go and find the cache. Turned out to be an easy find just on sunset after brushing away the spiderwebs to retrieve it.
Thanks King Cash.

I set myself two caching goals at the start of this year.
1) Reduce the number of days in my calendar that I hadn't found a mystery cache to satisfy a challenge cache. Razz
2) Complete my calendar so that I had a minimum of 5 cache finds per day. Razz Tick - done.Big Grin

Then half way through the year I heard a whisper about another challenge cache in the pipeline that required a Multi cache on every calendar day. At that time still needed 129 days so 3) reduce those days became yet another goal. Razz

Then Groundspeak wanted to start a streak at the end of August to get a souvenir. So I did. Surprised And I am still on that streak so I guess I now need to achieve 4) goals.

Today I needed to find a multicache and a puzzle cache and in doing these, also continue the streak. Surprised Sal was on holidays and happy to go for a drive as we have no geocaches within 20 kms of home anymore Razz And when you have to drive 30 kms for a cache you may as well do a couple nearby as well. Wink

Just a week or so ago we found ourselves just a mere 300 metres from this cache. [^] Unfortunately we were down below on the Gandy's Gully track and the 300 metres was straight up over 100 metres through blackberries and bush without a track. We followed that track all the way back to the top of coach road where we had parked the car so i didn't make it to this cache. Twisted However today we were near getting the multicache and on out way to the puzzle cache so we detoured to finally grab this one. [^] Parking where the car could no further it was time to board shanks pony for the short trip to the cache. Wink A short search and the cache was in hand. Smile Spotted a koala in a tree on the way back and then another in another tree a short distance behind that. Razz

**Thanks King Cash for this cache. ** Big Grin

Very pleasant father's day walk with whole tribe. Started from the top, meandered down with cloud cover gradually disappearing. After finding Ma Hat, Ma Coat, we then headed up a trail that Mountain Bikers appear to have frequented. At the trail head, went left towards Skye to discover 'Skye High'. TFTC

Needing a find for the day I made the short trip to this cache after finishing uni for the day. After parking in the appropriate spot, I made the short walk to gz. After finding the cache and signing the log I returned to the parking area to take in the views over the city. I took my time, and a few photos, and eventually headed off. An enjoyable cache and view over the city.

Spent the afternoon hiking through Horsnell Gully on a day where we clocked up our 4000th cache. Lots of walking through the park - we did 15km, with 640 vertical metres of elevation for the day.
Lovely walking tracks here in Horsnell Gully. Found easily and signed the log

I awoke to a Skye themed day Smile

Brushing the sleep out of me eyes I wandered out to grab the newspaper from wherever it landed in the front yard !! [:o]
(Some mornings finding the paper can be like finding a multi-cache.) Wink
The headline was all about Skye Razz

I looked up at the Skye ...
... "it looks like the rain has cleared." Smile
Maybe there will be no Skyefall ??
And after brekky,
I headed for Skye Razz

No !! I wasn't Skye-ving off !! [:o]
No work for me today Smile
So a Skye-line walk was in order Big Grin

A pleasant, if not short, stroll on a warm and humid morning Smile
Fabulous Skye-line views over the citadel of Adelwaide below [^]
And the cache was soon found Smile

TFTC !!

Now to find out where this trail leads Razz

For some silly reason, this morning 3 intrepid explorers set off to attempt a cache find.
There were two easy finds made then the day's target was aimed at, the shot fired and the Twisted mark hit Cool
Following that, in the hours that it took me to drive home, I found only 3 more caches as I was so tired [)] [)] that I didn't have the energy to find more and each cache gave me a chance to stretch my tight and sore legs [xx(]
My HUGE thanks to Team Scoobster and ttrogg for the company [:X] although I'm not so sure their laughter was so appreciated while one of them took pics of me after I fell coming down from our main target Razz
All in all, a fantastic day! [^]Big GrinCool

Unless mentioned otherwise, please know that your cache and log book was in good condition.

After finding The Slot and then eating celebratory pancakes at Team Scoobster's [:X], I headed home....extremely tired [)] but elated Cool
This cache caught my eye though and since Skye was where I used to spend a lot of time when I was on 27Mgz so that I could be heard all over the city.... although some people might say that I don't need height or a microphone for that to happen Wink
This was called the 3rd level of Skye back when you could still drive a car from the 2nd level down to the 1st level Wink
I figured that 2* terrain and a very short walk in should be ok, despite the fact that I could barely stand up and my legs were still shaking almost 2 hours after getting down from The Slot [)]
Ok, this is flat... oh no it's not! Twisted
Going down to GZ was not too bad but getting back up afterwards was pretty hard on my poor legs Sad
Many years ago my parents brought us kids up here to watch fireworks in the city and it was also a good spot to see Skyshow from [^]

It's been a long time since this cat parked at Skye!
Nice views, a little more populated up here now.

Found while hiking my way around Horsnell Gully to grab a cache for my Jasmer Grid. This one happened to be on the way and I noticed a trackable that has resided here for more than three months, so this find helped me towards completing the 'Free the Bugs' challenge as well. The parking spot at the top of Coach Road looks more like a construction zone at the moment, which may explain why this area seems a bit unloved at the moment. TFTC King Cash!

Owl long ago established that there are days she couldn't find a cache if her life depended on it. The last time she was here was one of those days. Back today, armed with confirmation that she was looking in the right place, she made the find in seconds. Today was not one of those days. Thank goodness!

First for the day and it's always good to start with a find Big Grin.
It's been quite awhile since we've stood on this hill and with the perfect caching weather today, this couldn't have been a better spot to start, with clear skies to the horizon [^].
No koalas seen today. TNLNSL.
Thanks King Cash.

Found during a detour in the eastern suburbs on my way home from work. Unexpectedly I ended up here after following the trail of 'finding the next closest cache'. Thanks for the cache King Cash!

Haven't checked out this park before, so this was a good taste. Will return when the weather is a tad less warm. No less than two koalas watched us find the cache. Thanks for bringing us up here King Cash!

Second to find, which ain't too bad around here. Maybe the Scoobster's are sick or on holidays. There's a nice block of land here for sale at $875,000 but it looks real steep. Still its right next to Horsnell Gully Conservation Park which would be good and the views would be special. Thanks King Cash for a lunchtime adventure.

Yay a *FTF* for Mr Tardis this morning.

They said it couldn't be done: A first to find in the Eastern suburbs, 12 hours after publication, and only a few kilometers from the Scoobsters' respidence and the freddo pad.

Mr Tardis has been up here before for another nearby cache. A lovely walk this morning in the cool air to grab this new one. I found the cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?

Signed the log. Thanks for the cache King Cash.
