Looks like it's gone.

18-Sep-19
The place has turned into a rubbish tip! Bloody neighbours think out of sight out of mind and throw their crap over the fence into the alley way where kids have to walk!! Will find another place and remake the hide.

24-Aug-19
Second look 18 months later, same result, lotsa rubbish here now and felt out in the open

11-Nov-18
All good here. Screw still loose. Container looking worse for wear but it fits in to the environment better like that.

08-Sep-18
Sad :c

28-Jul-18
Found with EvilEva11

28-Jul-18
Another cool find, with Sinautus and the Wolf ! X
TFTC Gorby
Trouble was someone put it back upside down so was full of rain so drying it out and returning it tomorrow!

18-Jul-18
School holidays was a good time to try for this one, but no sign of it. Lots of trash about, and a generally unpleasant place to search.

10-May-18
Was out this way after work today, so parked up in front of KFC, and headed off along the path with my torch. No problems with muggles this time of the evening, and quickly at GZ. Soon spotted something of interest, and easy retrieval. Nice camo, cheers Gorby

Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!

----------

After Surfing on Muriwai Beach I made a Little walk in this area to find some traditionals.
The Cache itself is very good and with good camo, but the hidden place is full of trash and no good place to look for a Geocache.
Thanks for hiding!

04-Feb-18
Found it during bike journey in the area of Northwestern Cycleway. Lovely Sunday trip. Managed 28.6km on my bicycle. Found several caches along the way and nearby. This one here was one of them ... Lots of rubbish near GZ. Found it anyway. TFTC

06-Jan-18
Did not find

13-Dec-17
No idea

05-Nov-17
Some days this one might have taken a while but today was a day that things were coming straight to hand and was glad to find it in the second place I looked - which was good as a neighbour was also working right behind the fence like a previous cache I found. Extracted the log which was a little wet but no problems with the waterproof paper. TFTC.

10-Sep-17
This weekend it was a chance to start working my way though parts of west Auckland in the company of Mr McC (McCuthan Cache Clan) so the plan was hatched (infact it was a plan from a few weeks before that had been canned due to unforseen circumstances) So now it was a chance to make the most of it.
Caches were signed in generally with MCD (or some variation there off). So off we set nice and early so as to hopefully keep ahead of the bad weather along with the Auckland traffic (which at that time of the morning when we passed through on our way north was most reasonable.
All in all we manged approx 70+ caches and still made it back to Hamilton by 4.30pm which I suspect was a surprise to our respective families.

Thanks for the placement, Thanks for the cache

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit

03-Sep-17
Last one for the day for me as the rain was starting to come back quite heavily. Luckily after not seeing what I thought I was looking for I soon saw what wasn't quite right and worked my way through to the log book.

Another great one here and a nice little gorby afternoon for me. TFTC my good man.

29-Aug-17
Out and about for a spot of cache detection out West Auckland today. I chose a good day for it with lovely weather. I parked up on a side street, utilised the pedestrian crossing and entered the walkway. Spotted the hide in the second place I checked. Utilising my TOTT I was able to access the log. Cheers for the cache placement!

01-Feb-17
Back out west specing up a new project as well as looking at the current installation. Heading back to the office and with as little time up my sleeve remembered this cache still needed a good "seeing to" after my previous reluctant DNF.

With all the road works it took me a little extra time to get to GZ but was thankful to get a park very close to this walkway.

GPS took me straight to GZ and I started extending my search but ended up back at the same place. Then I spied something a bit odd, whys "that" in there I thought to myself and sure enough further investigation revealed why "that" was in there.

Signed the log and returned the cache to its hiding spot rotating it 180 degrees so "that" wasn't so obvious!

Very happy to turned this from a blue frown to a Yellow Smiley.

Thanks for the cache Mr Gorby...

Streak day 438 complete!!!!

06-Jan-17
Kiwimarble, westie38 and I looked for a while for this one. We were just starting to walk away and give up when I spotted something out of the corner of my eye. This may be my favourite container ever. Smile. TFTC.

29-Dec-16
Looked for ages with aribear77. What a clever hide. Obvious place but a very different holder. Great cache.

28-Dec-16
I remember trying this cache months ago and had no luck, today I was about to give up but widen search and found something familiar to gorby's creations, sure enough it's the hide, figured out the cache wasn't a screw out but instead a screw removed then pull out (: nice find in the end, thanks!

26-Dec-16
I had visited here early on in my caching career and had no idea as to where the cache could be, and put off by my phone gps that had me further away from the GZ. Today I returned with merlot58 who had previously found it and she watched in amusement as I literally had my hand almost on the cache and didn't realise it. I had a different idea in my head as to what I was looking for, so without her guidance I likely wouldn't have made the find today either. Luckily I came prepared with my geocaching bag to use my TOTT to extract the log. We replaced the log, which was mush, with waterproof paper and a plastic bag. What an ingenious idea!

03-Dec-16
Found the cache easily, but had a bit of trouble retrieving the log without tools. Improvised & retrieved the log complete with resident snail. Paper was wet mush & unable to be signed.

18-May-16
Walked up to GZ, looked at the hint and found something suspicious. Yep, that was it. It took a few seconds to figure out the mechanics, but I got there Wink TFTC! #993

11-May-16
Checked it tonight, all good here!

03-May-16
Spent far too long here!!! With dusk approaching I had to concede defeat. Gorby is never going to let me live this down and it is with great reluctance I log this as a dnf for that reason. The bright side is that the machine I was in the area for starting up I being commissioned in another couple of days so you can bet your last dollar I will be back!

30-Apr-16
After failing to find this on our first visit to the area quite some time ago, our efforts in the area had us turning up today for another attempt. Found but then had to make a phone call to the partner to bring a tool.

05-Apr-16
Took a bit to find the container then soon had the log revealed.
Another fun container. SL

15-Mar-16
A nice easy find. Had no problems getting it open. The necessary tools are part of my geocaching kit. Love the camo.

04-Mar-16
My coords had me a bit out, but then I figured out the best place and there it was. I had both types of ToTT and manged to get to the cache without any trouble. As I put it back together, I dropped an important part, but, after trimming the grass, I found it and all is well. TFTC.

13-Feb-16
Loved it. Very cleverly thought out. TFTC

12-Feb-16
So clever once again!TFTC greetings from SouthAfrica

09-Feb-16
.my first DNF..

22-Dec-15
[blue]Well done Ivss_xx on your 2nd visit and your persistence!![/blue] Cool

Yeah, the prejudice was my downfall the previous time. The cache turned out not to be what I expected. And that's a cool thing Smile
I guess, the lesson I can take from this is... There are as many ways a screw can be loose as many people (geocachers) are out there.

Thanks for the cache!

20-Dec-15
That is clever!!!! Nice wee cache which seems out of place to the rest of it's shrubbery. Cache is in excellent condition, book still in need of more cachers.

You can understand why some may miss this. Went out on a hike this morning with the intention of not caching. However, when you're walking with those that do cache, the bug catches on and you find yourself on the hunt.

20-Dec-15
Nice one Ngahuiad! Thanks for your visit and comments. Cool

18-Dec-15
DNF
My screw is not only loose, it has totally unscrewed and lost somewhere. Couldn't even find it.
This is definitely not my day - from the 13 caches I searched today, found only 7.

29-Nov-15
Nice find - well done Gorby!
I logged the paper cache 30/11/15 instead of 29/11/15!
Oh well, cay sera sera.
TFTC!!

12-Nov-15
Nice idea, quick find, tftc.

12-Nov-15
Awesome day trip with dad around the peninsula + down!!
Quick find - a lil wet with a slug snuggled in

11-Nov-15
Because of some construction work, Te Atatu Road was heavily packed. Somehow managed to get a parking and headed to GZ.Found the cache soon and as per the description, we were prepared for getting it loose. We think it may need some love from gorby. will message CO with details. TFTC

10-Nov-15
Nice quick find today but I have to admit this is my second attempt. Today tho it was just so obvious, TFTC

18-Oct-15
We were out and about collecting caches to help finish meeting the requirements for our Geo-Licence challenge. This one didn't meant our requirements, but we parked up next to it accidentally before trying to figure out where we were heading next, so we couldn't exactly turn down the opportunity to go and find this one. Didn't take long to spot this one and then extract the container. Nice work, thanks for the hide! Big Grin

16-Oct-15
Scotty & Kiwi out west chasing down some caches for our daily streak. Both our sanity levels are sound so we thought we may struggle here but we were able to rely on a little bit of practicality to nut this one out. Smile

22-Sep-15
I had been a little hesitant about this one in case I was spotted lurking around the entrance to the school, however the school is actually some distance away and the path also leads to a park and community centre. Visited around 1pm and no muggles to be seen. Cache was exactly where GPS said, and I found it immediately (unusual for me to find Gorby's caches so quickly!). Well done on the cache design Smile

21-Sep-15
Love the camo and removed the screw. Spent an hour looking for this one a while back but only took 5 mins this time

19-Sep-15
Still there! Hasn't moved.

24-Jul-15
No luck... I will return at another time.

28-May-15
Found after a short look as like the people before me logic took over. Didn't have the right tool but still managed to get to the log. Unfortunately I didn't bring a pen as it was spur of the moment to look for this cache so didn't sign the log. Love the cache idea!

18-Apr-15
Cool hide!!

22-Mar-15
Second time lucky. Relatively easy find. Clever cache container mechanism... Smile TFTC

11-Mar-15
My second visit here and a reasonably quick find! I had to get a clue because I had not gone down the walkway enough last time! Nice Camo tftc

10-Mar-15
Searched for a good hour but no luck... Will try again.

07-Feb-15
Looked & looked...of course there it its. Thanks, great camo.

28-Jan-15
Another fun cache... clever old Gorby. T4tc

25-Jan-15
New paper put into cache today, all good to go again.

23-Jan-15
As previous logs have mentioned the log book is disintegrating but we found a nice blank piece to write our name on. May need some attention. TFTC

06-Jan-15
This one took a little longer than it should of as my GPS had me in a different spot, but logic soon took over and I made the find. Fortunately I had an appropriate tool with me so could get at the log to sign it. The log is in pretty bad shape and really needs replacing. It's dry, but disintegrating. Unfortunately I didn't have any paper on me to make a temporary log

01-Jan-15
I certainly over complicated this before logic (and me believing the GPS) took over. Thanks.

30-Dec-14
Got this one after reading the hint. Glad I came here during the school holidays.

27-Dec-14
Hunted yesterday and didn't find it. Got a hint from Casaba and headed back today - felt foolish when we saw it! Log not in a bag and a bit fragile, but signed and returned. Thanks for another fun cache Gorby! [^]

27-Dec-14
Hard cache this was. eventually we found it. log a bit fragile -logged from my phone so a bit brief. Thanks Gorby!

23-Dec-14
It was getting a bit late for my cache of the day, so popped out and checked out a few local spots. This one gave me the success I needed, with a cunning twist to sign the log

Thanks for the hide.

Vistra and I decided it was time to tackel all those new caches that had popped up near the airport. So almost 12 hours of caching and we had achieved most of the caches we had targeted and walked a lot further than we had realised we would be doing, not to mention the sunburn, on this lovely day.

Our last walk for the day, and our feet and legs knew we had done some distance today (although I have no idea how far). Our last one for the day, decided to grab this one as it was a Sunday and less likely to have muggles, anyway cache found and a muggle turned up, had to put it on hold and decided to see what was actually at the end of this alley. Ok muggle gone, now lets get that cache.

TFTC

09-Nov-14
After spending the day with Yorkshirekiwi83 caching around Mangere, we made a quick stop here to have a look for this cache. Soon had it in hand and had an appropriate tool to gain access to the log! A few creepy crawlies had made residence in the container, so shook them out before re-hiding it. Nicely done, TFTC!

31-Oct-14
Didn't find

31-Oct-14

22-Oct-14
Arived at GZ tonight and soon spotted something worthy of investigation. We worked out what was needed and soon had Gorby's Screw Loose. Nice one, thanks Gorby. And thanks for the last Night attribute cache find we needed to get our Full Licence Endorsement.

27-Sep-14
Fantastic camo and well crafted hide. There is no trackable.

27-Sep-14
This one almost had kw12 and myself screwed when we started looking in the wrong place but after a bit more thought and out with my trusty tool set we soon had it. Great inventiveness in these caches Gorby. Thanks

21-Sep-14

17-Sep-14
My first Gorby cache, hooray. Was in the area waiting to pick someone up and decided to look for a nearby cache, initially not quite in the right place but a little perseverance paid off. I was a little concerned that I had no tool on me but managed to think laterally and used the travel bug I had and it worked perfectly. Found that I was not the first here today! Thanks for a clever hide Gorby, look forward to finding your others.

10-Sep-14
Nice one Gorby. An eventful search. Better log when access to faster connection. Cheers V.

07-Sep-14
Found this morning, not a soul around. Unfortunately my trusty tool was not trusty enough to get in to sign the log, did not want to do any damage so I took a photo. Happy to send you a photo Gorby as proof or you can delete my find and I will return with better tools. Will add a new multi tool to my Santa wish list. Another awesome cache Gorby.

07-Sep-14

Was out caching with slieschke when this cache was published so we headed past here to make the find. It took us a couple of minutes to make the find and then a minute or 2 more to get to the log. I'm quite happy to admit I have a few screws loose. Another nice Gorby hide. Last of 4 joint FTFs for us tonight. {FTF} #1632 Big Grin TFTC!!! Big Grin

Final find of the evening chasing down new cache placements with FMZ. Had to keep our voices hushed with the houses nearby and eventually we eventually realised the place to look for the cache.

Following special tool providing some tooling we soon gained access to the cache and a joint (FTF) was scored!

Whadayamean I found out I have a screw loose? I've known that for years! ;D

Thanks!
