Out and about this evening chasing a FTF with the Seagnoid and YetiNZ. On the way to it, tS says "there's an archived cache just over there that might still be there", so we figured we'd stop and take a look for it on our way back. And that's exactly what happened. We stopped, We searched, We (Yeti) found. Yes, the log is pretty full, but there are places where previous finders log entries have pretty much faded away completely so we just used that space. And it's over 1000 days lonely (1024 days to be precise) which is a bonus Thanks for placing it, all that time ago.
While on the way to a FTF with TwigNZ, just a little further up hte road, I was checking out the nearby archived caches. Hmm thereis one near here (this one), looks like it might still be there. So after finding the new cache, TwigNZ, YetiNZ and yours truely, SeagnoidNZ, headed here to find this.Nice easy find in the middle of the night. Over a 1000 days lonely! (well, it is archived, so not that surprising!)
#1219. On the way to see grandson Seb play football at Delaney Park, GB Leader and I just had to stop for our first ever Stokes Valley cache. Nice and easy to find, but the log is pretty much full. Nice paintwork too.
Tftc CaligulaNZ
P.s. Island Bay United played really well, and after Seb scored early in the second half, they kept the pressure up and beat Stokes Valley 4-3. Great skills by these 10 and 11 year olds.

Found with aeshna_uk - looking round on a pretty random sightseeing drive and noted this was on the way out so stopped by to grab this for a quick, easy find. Loved the artwork at GZ too. TFTC!
On an unexpected trip south, unfortunately with muggle 81 yr old father!!! So my finds are far and few between, but many thanks for the placements!
Introduced young second cousin to Geocaching so out in the area having a poke around. Many thanks for bringing me here.
I am logging using the Cachly app template so please excuse generic logging along the way. It’s just my way of keeping track, but I do genuinely thank each and every one of you cache owners for taking the time and energy to place these cache. Many Thanks for bringing me here. Cheers.

Quick find once I'd dodged a couple of church going muggles (in retrospect Sunday morning may not have been the best for this one, but we live and learn etc). Signed, dated, and headed across the road to agency to log this one. TFTC!
# 1365 A quick find in my own valley this evening, which was a good time to search for it. Had been saving this one for a while now but passed it so many times on my trips out and about. Was nicely hidden and didn't see it in my first pass but all good inside. Thanks CaligulaNZ for this easy park and grab.
A quick find whilst tying the shoelaces off my Jandals. As always with these, took longer to repack than anything else. TFTC
The last time I had a decent full day’s caching run it was way back on Anzac Day, so it is pretty fitting that’s next is on Armistice Day. I decided to head back to Upper Hutt and Lower Hutt region as even though I attended the recent mega and enjoyed it, I didn’t really enjoy the actual caching as it was more like queuing and waiting your turn for the log book and in some cases not even seeing the container and that isn’t my type of caching.
An early morning start to make the most of what promises to be a great sunny day. Another quick find here in this series. TFTC

Another one of this series found. I am enjoying the art work. TFTC Favourite given because I like tuis
I'm getting good at this, another quick find, I only just got in back in place before a muggle came around the corner. TFTC CaligulaNZ

19th of the day and another one found in this series. This looks like one of the previous in the broadband series. TFTC.
Found this one as an extra during a GROET hunting trip in the Hutt/Stokes Valley area with Flowerydaze. All good with this TFTC.
A quick find, then time to admire another lovely painting on a BB box. Thanks for placing a cache here and drawing our attention to them CaligulaNZ.
It is a lovely sunny winter afternoon and me ol’ mum was up for some time away from her retirement village and she had a cousin that used to live in Stokes Valley.
She can’t remember exactly where.
I saw this painted box and thought “I bet there’s a cache there” so pulled over and sure enough.
I really like the way these boxes have been painted and appreciate the series to bring me to them.

Another nicely painted cabinet. Not the immediate find I was expecting but got it without too much trouble. A lot of people and traffic about but I managed a pretty stealthy grab, and replace.

Up from the deep South for a work reunion.
And revisiting my old stomping ground!
Thanks for bringing me back!

Fixerated. Think it's most likely Chorus maintenance muggling that is disabling these Broadband caches. Now a magnetic nano.
Arrived to find Chorus workers busy here. So did some other caches nearby. On returning the van was just leaving. Unfortunately 2 muggles parked in full view of GZ appeared and spent 10 minutes or so nattering while I had lunch. As soon as they left another Chorus van appeared and stopped at GZ. I gave up understandably!
Nice quick find today after getting a couple of caches higher up in Stokes Valley. We were a bit surprised how few caches there are in Stokes Valley compared to other areas close by.
Found after a club trip circumnavigating the hills around Stokes Valley. TFTC
Am in town visiting my family for Christmas. Didn't have anything planned for the morning, so out caching I went.
Just got off the boat from Picton after a flying road trip to a wedding in Blenheim with My.Precious. Had a couple of hours to spare before going to friends for the night.
Out of my home ground for a few days with Tigatat2 for a family wedding in the mainland and sorted out which caches to do on our travels and this was one of them.
With the business end of the trip out of the way this was on the list as it was close by where we were staying for the night
Parked right beside GZ and made a very quick park, grab and signed then returned to it's spot.
TFTC.

I was expecting this to be a park and grab but there was funeral at the adjacent church and nowhere to park within like block. So instead it was a park/walk/grab. Decided to return to the car to sign the log so an additional walk/sign/walk/replace. No delay at GZ, just a quick survey of who might be watching following by a quick grab. The artwork on the cabinet is a nice alternative to a plain box.
Harry and I are off the mark! Our first geocache find. Wasn't as easy for us as others but we got it!
**taybee** is caching again with and **tayybee nz**

I am sure I have found this one twice before. It keeps showing up as unfound so I must have forgotten to log the find both times - doh! A quick find with my wee caching buddy today. Thankfully I have remembered to log it online!

Quick drive-by making for a quick find, must have most in the series now! *TFTC CaligulaNZ, #8858*
Was planning to dry logbook, but ended up replacing it with a smaller one and new bag, as it would have soon required a new one. not surprising the logbook was wet, as the original bag was missing.
Good luck to future finders - still a micro mint tin. Watch out for muggles over the fence!

Easy quick find. As I had time on a sunny day I dried the saturated log book in the sun for a while.
Hope it stays dry - left the container lid DOWN.

I lived in Stokes Valley from when I was 7 until I was 21. I couldn't wait to get out and now I try not to go there. However, there was a swimming competition at the pool there this afternoon and my kids really wanted to go.
This was easy to find. The log book is soaked and is difficult to open, and even more difficult to write in. I did my best while trying not to wreck it for others.
Thanks

After a nice hike to Mt. Climie today I had some time left and came around here for picking up some Challenge Caches. But there were some other nice Caches around showing lovely street art. We also have this at home in Germany (for example in Siegburg, Troisdorf and Bad Honnef) and I like it because it makes ugly, but necessary Thing a Little bit colourfull.
Thanks a lot for the Caches.

Picking up random caches in the valley on a lazy Sunday afternoon semi-expedition.
This was one. I've been here before, but across the road at the church on another errand.
Made a pretty straightforward find. Cache needs some TLC - see maintenance log.
A very wet log signed, just; cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC found with team cacher Sweet P too
The Turtle strikes again!

Wicked art on these broadband boxes! Also had a very sexy corvette parked out front
Cache # 3,059 - finally going by Stokes Valley with a need for a quick cache, so diverted to grab this one. Took a little longer than hoped as a set of muggles was parked nearby so I wandered down the street for a ways before returning. On the return I spotted the cache and could get to it unseen, so quickly retrieved, signed log, and returned. All good. TNLNSL. TFTC!

I was the last to find the cache previously in the area at the church but was accosted by a muggle who "didn't want it there", so it had to be retired.
A quick find this morning while running an errand. Had to wait for the neighbour muggle to move to a different location so I could replace. TFTC
