Out for another Sunday morning strip with geodog and himself. Hopefully the rain stays away!! Enjoyed watching the rowers. TFTC.
Cache by kayaking. Paddled over here at high tide, found a way to scramble up the bank, and then located this cachee quickly and easily. Thanks for the cache, makes it fun to get one every day.
Loving this walkway. This is why geocaching is great. Bringing you to new spots! TFTC
**#20,994**The GPS soon had us pointing in the right direction, a consult with the hint and the likely hiding spot was pin pointed to a fine point at Highbrook Point!TNLN TFTC
I spent the day on a work trip to the nearby factory and took the chance during a break in proceedings to walk the track around its perimeter. This was my second stop and was a nice find. All is well with the cache, thanks very much.
Only a couple of metres from the path, don't need to approach from below. Thanks for the cache - great pathway around the shore!!
#573 Like a good sentry, the cache was guarding its post. On the lookout for muggles, no doubt!
Found the cach no problem. And stopped to watch a boat that had come up the river at I don't care about anyone else speed and heading back down at the same speed. When karma kicked in and the boat promptly stopped. And a show started as he worked the boat off a mud bank it try to become one with.He did get it off after about 10 minutes and continued down the river at a much slower speed. Thanks G2.
My first outing by myself with puppy while GAR is taking part in a dog competition . Weather is really nice for a walk this afternoon although the wind is a bit brisk. GPS funnily enough not pointing me to the right spot here and initial search turned up nothing, then I read the hint and homed in, dug around and came up trumps - thanks for adding to my adventure today Trout-fly and Josie!
Spotted GZ and made my way down. Not sure how far above ground level I was stood, but I dug deep and found the cache.
A ton of natural camo looks like it's been here for years
But still sniffed it outall good here thanks troutfly and josie

We are cycling around part of the park today. It's very picturesque here, even at low tide. Thanks for the placement.
#13,205. A good walk along the shoreline in Auckland by the Pakuranga Creek / Tamaki River that would lead out to the Hauraki Gulf / Tīkapa Moana. GZ was all quiet at the time of our visit. Quick find. The cache was in good condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.
Thanks for the placement, and for bringing us to this site, and …

Quick find on a pleasant afternoon. Log book has had a bit of water damage so may need replacement soon. Thank you for the hide!
My partner and I decided to check it out when we parked up by the wharf for lunch, it was in a great spot and worth the walk. Had no pen but dropped in a dime
Spotted the hint items on approach and the cache was there, and signed up. Cheers!
The recipe - mrs c at work? Check. Me, with a day off to go caching? Check. A decent weather forecast? Check. And so it came to pass that I headed out to Highbrook for a few hours caching having visited the area earlier in the year forsome vaccination stuff, and not enough time to do the area justice. Plenty of finds this morning, but a nasty accident on Highbrook Drive early this morning meant coming in from Pakuranga way, and back the same way. All good though. Even encountered another family out caching, kylerrrr, and saw them a couple of times on the trails, nice. Thanks to all COs.

Back in Highbrook to end the day. A late afternoon stroll to the Point. No problems once at GZ. TFTC
Out for an afternoon of caching with UncleSamNZ to pick up a few caches in the Highbrook area and get out for a nice walk on a beautifully sunny day. After meeting UncleSamNZ and hatching a plan of attack, started to execute it.
We had actually found this cache a few years back but alas, had no pen. Rookie mistake. Anyway, this time we had a pen and went straight in for the find. The cache was signed and the cache replaced before you could even say "Geocaching is the greatest hobby in the world".

Haaving just found Highbrook Rocks we did not move the car and enjoyed the slightly longer walk to this cache. Cache quickly found in the obvious place (co-ords were good thank you) and surprisingly dry. Thanks Trout-fly and Josie for bringing us to a new walk. Now back to the car before it rains. Got to car just in time, so come back on another day for remaining caches.
Runners and walkers all around, Mr 11 was ready to give up on this one, told him to read description again and low n behold boom there it was.

Nice and easy find with the hint. All nice and dry. Thanks for hiding. Tftc
The toitoi has been cleared so quite easy to get to. Arrived in Auckland early so decided to go for a walk and get a few caches. Thanks for the hide
Took my mom on this one , i was giving up on the search until my mom looked a lil deeper and found the cache . Her first cache hunt and first find ... she was happy
Could not find after a lengthy search. Will monitor this cache and come back at a later stage
Find number 6640. Clearing a few more caches in the area before heading back to Hamilton. Nice little walk to GZ. Pity the tide was out. Thank you for the placement.
Today's mission was to explore Highbrook. We just did this side of the track and will return another day to do the rest of the track. Lovely sunny day for a ride. The pohutukawa's in beautiful deep red bloom. We really enjoyed the trail ride today. Quick find here. SL. TFTC.
Met with Aiden29 as part of the Auckland Meetup group for a walk around Highbrook, took a couple of hours and was very windy, but a beautiful suny day.
Approached from the front, but was easier to reach from the back. TFTC

Windy after lunch walk ... why not trying to grab this one? No one around this time, quick find. TFTC
We thought this may have been more difficult with the vegetation warning.(Sorry for the late log, I didn't realise that this hadn't uploaded)
Took a small loop walk after work here today for a few finds. Low tide out on the water. A quick find. TFTC!
Enjoying the walk around here today with themexikiwi and ambled our way across to this one. Nice quick find here thanks to the hint and we were soon on our way again. TFTC
Found it! To future cachers, just completely ignore the description about plants and stuff and just follow the hint to avoid unnecessary searching! Cache however in good condition, but logs are a bit dodgy. Cheers!
Visiting Auckland for a few days while we wait for a local grandchild to arrive. A great opportunity to get a few caches. Enjoyed this little walk around the estuary. Thanks.

Had to hunt deep for this but there it was, one kid picked up a lovely painted rock, we replaced with some other treasures, tftc its a nice easy family walk for us today!
In the area chasing FTF's and this cache was in the middle so we couldn't leave a green box on the map in the middle of smilies. A nice quick find exactly where we thought it would be. Signed as Team SEAC as there were so many of us. Found with darthcacher1, purply, keylev, nziceman, cragger, laval, lordcacher08, thebrownehornet - although some of the group my have already found it previously. Thanks for the cache
No real plans made for today but Auckland was the place to go.
We still have in excess of 2,000 caches in area to find and log so this is going to take some time to complete.
Spur of the moment and teamed up with ABCDF4,Eyespyben & Squirrel Nutcase.
Thought we would hit one area and try to clean it up. Apart from one cache that is disabled, think we got the rest plus a few outer lying caches on way home.
All caches signed as Team HRP (Huntly,Rotorua,Papamoa) This being our home towns.
Thanks to cache owners for their placements. SLTFTC

6th of the morning with PhilBirdBoys, super easy find, log is a little damp. Tftc.
With Gap (of Fap and Gap), ABCDF4, and eyespyben... All logs were signed Team H (Huntly) R (Rotorua) P (Papamoa).
Our original plan was to complete the Hakarimata Northern Walkway this weekend. However, the weather deteriorated and we chickened out... An alternative was suggested by our Huntly friends - Let's go up to Highbrook (Auckland). It seems that this location is getting a lot of attention at the moment, with a lot of new placements in the area.
We relocated our vehicle once more. In the ensuing conversation, we guessed that there was room for a few more caches in the area. Regardless, we set out to collect the nearby hides. It turns out, we probably could have driven to most of them... A quick find with a pleasant outlook... TFTC.

A nice peaceful walk along the river and tried to made this one alot harder than it needed as i was busy focussing on getting down the bank which there was no need for.good job the other of us is more on the ball today. A good find here.
A few showers around today but thought I’d brave them and go out for a Friday work lunchbreak. Parked at the glass place and enjoyed the walk to the point. Just went with the hint and then a quick find. Signed the replacement log, it is working well. Great view over the water, but the wind is blowing strong head-on and rain is coming from Mt Wellington direction. All good here, but gotta go. TFTC
I apologise for the generic log, but today was all about the numbers. I am attending WENZ in 8 days time, and I want to have the Mega event as my 1000th cache, so I have only these few days to find about 70 caches.
So whilst I'm staying in Auckland for a few days, I wanted to take a look around an area I hadn't previously visited, and therefore "target-rich", which today was the industrial area to the west of East Tamaki.
I decided to follow the pound hound trail (so to speak) in the hope that the forecast showers wouldn't eventuate. But over the course of the couple of hours I was out I got rained on 4 times! But luckily for me I managed to find every cache I went for bar the last one which I took as my signal to call it a day.
This one took far longer to find than it ought to have done, simply because the description led me on a merry dance. I actually wish I hadn't read it, and had simply read the hint instead, as when I just let my geo-instincts kick in then it was a 2-second find.
Thanks for the cache, and the reason to discover a new walkway.

Continuing my bike ride along here. Its after dark but a pleasant evening for a bike ride with no one else around. Easy hint and quick find with my torch, cheers
Parked st the entrance to metro glass. Enjoyed the 400m stoll. Found quick n easy as good hint. Cache log mush so placed in a replacement for others to sign. Good place for a cache. Thanks
Found this one with no problems as the hint pointed us right to the cache. We managed to sign the log but as per previous loggers, it could do with a replacement. Tftc
Trip down south to pick up some caches towards the Hidden creature souvenirs. Easily found but as said previously it needs some TLC, now to the next. TFTC
Cache needs manitenance. The old logs are soggy masses of paper. The temporary log is exactly that. Will benefit from CO visit.
Nice quiet walk with geowife and no muggles around. Quick find. Log wet and disintegrating. Left a bit of paper.. spare logs were in car. Dropped off a TB.
I am currently trying to maintain a daily caching streak, and each time I drive through Highbrook I keep saying to myself that I should stop and get the ones in this area. So that is how I came to be looking for this particular cache. As I parked, the sun was just coming up and it was clearly going to be a fantastic day. While I was locking my vehicle, a council worker pulled up and started to empty the near by bins and we engaged in some pleasantries... and after this I made my way on foot to GZ. However, once I got to GZ, even though it was obvious as to where the cache would most likely be, I had to wait to make my search as there were a number of muggles passing through walking their muggle dogs. So I enjoyed the view... and once the coast was clear I made a nice and quick find. So the log has been signed and the cache is back in its place all ready for the next finder. Thank you once again Trout-fly for taking the time to set up your caches. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so.
Last find in Highbrook industrial park here. It will be much easier on the bike. This area has potential for more nice hides like those I had pleasure to find today. TFTC
