Sorry for the late log of my visit, but the last year I traveled around the world. Together with Silli1310 we attented this nice event on our first full day in New Zealand, because it was nearby our hostel. We were a little bit sceptic how would it be, how do react the people from the other end of the world. We were not disappointed, it was a warm welcome and nice talks about the cache situation in New Zealand. We got some nice cache advises, but the time was to short to find all of them. Thanks a lot for this nice expierence, hopefully we will have the possibility to come back to NZ - we enjoyed our two month in kiwi country.

Arrived to see lots of people in a very popular area of the park - joggers, tourist groups, trendy boot camp recruits swinging the pastel colour coodinated kettle bells and of course the fighting fit geocaching group gathered under the shade of a big tree. Thanks for organising this event, Steve, to show off the lovely venue in a rare day of terrific weather! Also, first I heard about a 2016 North Island Mega planned for Turangi, perfect location for cache & release Wink ...by the way, fish (fat trout) can usually be seen in the Avon river from the nearby bridge! Great to meet up with everyone, if only briefly, as I had to dash off . Smile

Great to see everyone! And great to have an event so close to home again, as it's only a less than 10 minute bike ride!! Smile

Love events, and was nice to chat and hang and all.

And when I got home, the meatballs that I had put in the oven were perfectly cooked, and not a little bit over or under! And I didn't burn the house down!! Yay!! Smile

Consec caching day # 752

Last minute decision to come along and had to fight the traffic trying to get out of the city as we were coming in. Nice to see new and old faces and have a bit of a catch up. Was looking to do a cache or two while at the park but muggles galore in every direction. Next time. Thanks for the event.

I'm a definite maybe- technically I finish work at 1900 but usually get to sneak out about 1820. Factoring in travel time I might almost manage to make an unofficial log signing Wink. Is the finish time 1830 or 1850? There's a wee conflict on the cache page.

09-Nov-14
Sounds good. I guess if I follow the coordinates I will find the triangle.

09-Nov-14
The end event time is about 6.50pm -7pm
But then theres no reason it cant be one of those events that keeps on giving

See you all there
