The 3 Stooges are at it again. Out on the long weekend hunting caches. We wanted to head north for some high T caches that required a 4WD, but it didn't quite work out, so an alternative plan was hatched. The Riverland.Aimed for some High Terrain caches and caches that have been unloved for some time, years in fact, and with very few finders. Some were quite tricky to solve and took a bit of head scratching and a few other body parts.Plus, some others of interest along the way.Always great trips away with heaps of banter, dad jokes, tons of crap talk, but best of all, the camaraderie, and home made cake. All caches found and stamped. If some caches required maintenance, this was done. Thanks to all the COs for hiding and publishing these caches. Made for an adventurous weekendTFTC SL
Out and about caching with Cheezel and WayneAPN while on a trip to the Riverland.Cache found and log stamped
The original plan was to head to the Argadells north of Port Augusta but the logistics simply didnt work out for us.So its Plan B, the Riverland So here we are, The 3 Stooges, WayneAPN (or as we call him That Numbers Guy), weredunn4 ( Mr Adventure) and myself are hitting the Riverland for some targeted high T caches, plus many many others along the way.Suffice to say, these are always great trips away with heaps of banter, dad jokes, tons of crap talk, but best of all, the camaraderieAll caches found and stamped. Any caches needing maintenance, we did our best to restore them to good health whether that be an additional log or new container. Thanks to all the COs for the caches we found this weekend, without you we dont have this game TFTC
Find # 15801Been a while since I've been out solo for a long trip. But things change over time. And I'm living the past.So with some time off work, I've jumped the border wall to chase down some long trails in South Aussie... don't know how many I'll get. But I've got quite a few downloaded. I do have a short hit list ( of 2) caches to help with a challenge. All others are just for the Adventure and countryside views. Armed with all the necessary TOTT from tweezers and magnet grab to 6m ladder and 8m fishing pole. I believe I'm prepared for all that I'll come across. (Just had to leave the Kayak at home )Day 5. After a cold night at the Maggea Oval.. I was off on another days hunting. But decided to turn things around as I started in Loxton (after getting supplies) and tackle the trail backwards from original plan. TFTC Phetlern

Love the stash. Playschool step aside.
We discovered this series before we left WA Perth. So planned trip around it. Hoping we can finish before we have to head back home. Great series thank you everyone. Varied caches and good sizes great for a bush run series.

TFTC. A short break to stretch the legs, picking up a few caches every time I do this trek.
While travelling in the holidays enjoyed stretching our legs hunting for mystery boxes 13/7/23

Found by Mary and David at 11:30. We know and love them both. Delighted that they could come to M's 70th Birthday and our 50th Wedding Anniversary Event. At the latter, Mr Suscoe gave an erudite and funny sermon on"This is Your Geocaching Life".Now you know where we are after QOGM. A FP for the themed cache, which beautifully represents their style.. Our thanks to Phetlern.

Waiting to take you away
AnyMules had an unusual day off in the middle of the week and he was available for the Wednesday Wander of the Befuddled Puzzlers. So it was decided he would take the group wherever he wanted in search of solved puzzle and anything else that might come into view. Only myself and AnyMules were available and off we set towards Yumali and who know where else. A mystery tour indeed almost into Victoria and to some pretty obscure off the normal routes. Here's what we did.
There have been even more additions since the last time I cleanup up this trial. Time for a another finding / maintenance run soon. But I won't need to stop for this one as we stopped and I found it today. I have cached with Suscoe's a few times and enjoyed their company. Their puzzles have been fun to solve. [^]
***Thanks Phetlern for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Another cache find on our 2022 South Australian Adventure. It is a wonderful day, just perfect for geocaching.
Today it's off to visit a few more Wandering Heroes with some outstanding cache containers. We are enjoying our time travelling SA. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs & wine. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on this geo-guided tour.

Out on another JAMS day with allister w, mogni, sir_spectre and tallbikestan targeting the rest of the Wandering Heroes that we didn't finish last time we were out this way. We started off in Murray Bridge then stopped off at the Happy Armpit series before heading to Sandalwood where we left off previously. [^] After finishing the Wandering Heroes and some others that we went past we zig zagged back to Tailem Bend finding some random caches in random locations which all added to the fun of the day. It was pretty hot and the car air conditioner got a good workout, but that didn't stop us even though I was quite tired by the end of the day.
Thanks for the cache Phetlern.
Thanks for the cache Phetlern.
Today the JAMS crew was out and about to complete the Wandering Heroes series. JJ52, mogni, Sir Spectre, tallbikestan and I met at the crack of dawn on a predicted hot day. We worked great as a team to find the remaining caches of the series as well as a few caches before it and a few after it. I was mainly the driver today and I filled up the car at Murray Bridge before the first find and from then on I didn't turn the car of until we had done finding and headed back to Tailem Bend, when we got to Tailem Bend and had 4kms of fuel left which added a adrenaline rush to the day. Thanks to all the CO's and the cachers that are a reason for another find. The JAMS crew hid a JAMS cache today to add to the series.
Out with the JAMS crew for our monthly caching run. This run was with JJ52, Allister w, Mogni and sir_spectre plus Tallbikestan but minus Michells&hound. All logs today where stamped as mystery randoms. Todays target was to do the armpit series then finish the Wandering Heroes trail where we left it uncompleted at sandal wood last time and then slowly cache the back roads back to Karoonda. The wandering heroes trail was in a poorer state then last time and that is saying some thing. This time out of 104 caches on the trail including a few stray trads beside the freeway we replaced 18 caches that where found broken/cracked but surprisingly almost al the logbooks where saved and less then a hand full of logbooks on this section were full and needed replacing. It was nice to see some of the caches still themed after all this years. Also good to see a few large caches out here. A good day out even if it was 35 degrees. Some time along the Wandering Heroes i got my 15,000 find as well.
Out for a Sunday drive with the JAMS team plus one. JJ52, allisterW, mogni, sir_spectre and tallbike stan. We were targtting the last of the wandering heroes and then doing a few others along the way. Any caches that needed maintence were fixed along the way.
Thanks to Phetlern from mogni

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA. With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
Our team “The Mob” consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers, feathertop and ourselves. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book. All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
After completing all the trails, we had set out to do and a couple more for good measure it was time for this mob to go its separate ways.
So today we headed out with Rapidlywild to try our hand at some of the wandering hero’s caches. A lot of these caches need some TLC they are in a pretty bad way.
Thanks for the hide in this Wandering Heros series Phetlern

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
With the Turtle done, the PS Series done, the On Ya Bike done, the TdU & TdF done as well as the Riddlers done, our targeted caches has been accomplished. Today the teams all split up and went our seperate ways for the remainder of our journeys. Today myself and FurfacesLL decided to do some Wandering Heroes caches, it was a long and at times frustrating day. A number of the caches have fallen victim to the environment and are very brittle, to the point they just fall apart when touched. The entire series could really do with a major maintenance run. We ended up pulling the pin on the series and chose something different to do for the following day.
Thanks for the hides Phetlern And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

Out with feathertop to tackle the On Your Bike series. When this popped up on the phone it was a 'no brainer' that we had to earn an 'easy' smiling face here - one that did not require homework.
Knowing SUSCOE as a very friendly couple and also as serious hiders/seekers,it is a privilege to have a smiling face in the Wandering Hero trail. An absolute honour they deserve.

Today we formed a small team to tackle a section of the Wandering Heroes series between Loxton and Karoonda. It was an early morning start today, and the four of us, FeatherWaite, GoodLook, @gridge98, and I, agreed to stamp the caches with a 'thumbs up' emoji stamp to save room in logs and for our ease. It wasn't a bad day to tackle this series, with blue skies and the sun out allowing us to run in/out and look for caches. Some may argue it was too good of a day to be stuck inside a car for half the time. There was a bit of banter in order to take our minds off the significant number of cache finds for the day.
Several caches were replaced due to their various poor states. Some containers had barely survived the test of time, and there didn't seem to be too many damp logbooks. Several detours were also had off the main road, and the caches at these sights seemed more interesting than the randomly placed heroes caches. Some were in good shape and creative, but most seemed to be the standard Sistema container. Thanks to all who had placed and those who have helped to maintain the current containers.
Thanks for this cache, and it didn't take long to find. Cache and contents were in good shape, cheers Phetlern.

Out for the day with Davidwazza, GoodLook and featherwaite to complete the wandering heroes caches north of karoonda. All the caches are in good condition as we replaced the ones that were broken and needed replacing. All the caches were stamped with a thumbs up () stamp for convenience. Was great to chat about the different heroes along the trail as we went. Thanks to all the COs for their placements

Found with Davidwazza, GoodLook and gridge98 on a mission to tackle the Wandering Heroes Trail with each of us in various stages of 'completion'. Started at Loxton and worked back towards Karoonda replacing a few soggy log books and damaged containers along the way. Also took the opportunity to detour off the series to locate other nearby caches, resulting in a very entertaining and rewarding day's caching. Thanks for the cache Phetlern!
This was another day with ilook4geo and chasing those Wandering Heroes. It was a very assorted as far as containers and logs go. Some were in excellent condition and some containers had almost totally disintegrated. Most were somewhere between these extremes.
Each found log had two more lots of initials added somewhere on its pages before we headed off again. Thank you to Phetlern for adding this cache to the series.

Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
After a very uncomfortable night sleeping in the car, we made an early start today. With our next milestone in sight Mr Emily and son came up to grab some caches for numbers and to make it easier when we finally finish this trail. Its nice that every cache is different here. TFTC
Today was a day of WH caches and a list was prepared. Triple M played David Bowie’s Heroes on the way here which was very appropriate. Lots of wildlife seen today and seemed to have 4 seasons in the day but had a fun trip with only 1 dnf. Unfortunately a few of the caches at the end had perished but on the whole the trail was in good condition. It was good to see hero caches for a lot of cachers I have now met since being in Adelaide. We stayed at Lameroo last night with the intention of finding a few more in the Wandering Heroes series (our fifth visit)
A chance call from Goodlook had us meeting up in Karoonda and then after enjoying a coffee we headed out to do some more in this ever growing series.
We had a fantastic day finding the various containers and left a few favorite points along the way
We have had the pleasure of meeting SUSCOE many times at events and are in envy of his puzzle solving abilities. We have enjoyed finding six of their hides and attended four of the events, a great addition to this series.
Thanks Phetlern for adding to this fantastic series.

I had such a wonderful weekend with my good buddies, the lovely Team Crackers [:X] [^] whilst caching from Karoonda to Waikerie over the 2 days.
We enjoyed the frivolity and fun that accompanied finding about 100 caches [:o)] [^]; lots of good food [^], heaps of laughter , some crazy story telling over maybe a drink or two before bed [^]. We enjoyed one night in Loxton at the Big 4, and we couldn't believe how lucky we were with the mild and fairly sunny weather we experienced (given the torrential rain in Adelaide).
A totally unplanned and unexpected weekend, but this spontaneous 'hook-up' could not have been more perfect [^]

Find No: 5659. On the way from Newcastle to Alice Springs, staying in Loxton, so far so good, thanks for the cache Phetlern!!
We are on an LGA adventure/surprise visit to Adelaide from Melbourne for my Aunty's 80th birthday... via Swan Hill and Loxton! We chose this route so that we could find caches in a few of the LGA areas we have missing in Victoria for the Vic Polygon LGA Challenge cache and then we could also do some of the Wandering Hero caches from Loxton to Adelaide.
We checked out of our beautiful accommodation at the Courthouse Apartments (Police Cell room) and found a few caches in the town of Loxton and then headed for the highway to Adelaide. We had found 9 of the 10 equipe de cinq caches the previous night so we headed for the next lot of WH caches
It is interesting reading about the cachers on the trail!!
We plan to have a longer holiday in Geelong sometime soon to find lots of caches there so will definitely find some SUSCOE hides then; we stayed in Geelong on Saturday night on the way home from this holiday and only found 9 caches before heading home Sun arvo.

Bypassed these cache last time going through, as so many placed since last we did a run through here.
Nice to grab a few of cachers that we know.
Whilst I have had email exchanges with Suscoe, I don't think we have met.
A quick find here...
Even though it is definitely smaller than a regular now.

Heading to Mildura to catch up with honeysucker for the weekend. A hot day peaking at 50C but still managed some caches. TFTC.

A quick and easy drive by as we cache our way through this series. Thanks for bringing us here and thanks for the cache.
Another weekend, another foray into Wandering Hero territory. Today we cached between Mindarie and Alawoona. We ended up with a total of 37 finds, which included a handful of non-heroes, a couple of which were multis.
Unless otherwise noted, we found your cache and contents to be in good condition.
We really enjoy our trips along the Wandering Heroes trail and find it interesting to read about each of the honoured cachers and their exploits.

We are on our 6 week adventure to the Kimberleys and we would love to get our 4000 while up there. So we had a little look on the map and decided a minor detour was in order. It's also very pleasing to get to finish off this series that we started at the SA oz mega. Thanks to all the COs for the cache placement to make our 4000 wishe come true. Tftc
What a great trail, the weather is fine, the birds are singing and we are "in the groove". Thanks to all the cachers who put this trail together, we are having a ball and have not missed a beat, so far. 3-Kings and I have come all the way from NSW to experience this trail and it was well worth it. Oh wow, what a trail ! The WEEO and I flew down from Canberra to cache this trail and around MB and my wonderful Auntie put us up (future cacher there too ). We made it all the way to Loxton in 2 days but were shagged by the end. The caches were mostly fab and gave us a laugh along the way.
Thanks to all you cachers in the MB area for the great work in putting this together, you guys rock!

Traveled to Loxton early in the morning for a random geocaching adventure with my partner Lord Rossatron. We had an extremely fun day, didnt realise the Mardi Gras was scheduled for that day though! We did the caches around Loxton that we could get too and then headed 20-30km out of Loxton and started grabbing those caches!! We found 100 caches in our one day of caching in Loxton, we were pretty proud Geocachers heading back to Mildura at Night.
Sorry for the somewhat generic log. After taking 8-9 months to find our first 200 caches, we planned to travel over from Mildura for a day trip and knock out 100 caches to take us up to our 300th. We left at 7am and got back again around 8:30, If I counted correctly, we achieved our goal.
