Starting to run short for time we were not going to spend lots of time hunting for this one. We could not spot it in the most or least likely spaces so left it as a DNF.
Tried to find tis as part of our adventurous journey in Motutapu. But unfortunately, we couldnt.
Forgot to add the cache note was very wet so couldn't log it in tried to arrange it so it would stay drier
We took our Brownie Unit across to take part in an organised tree planting day over on Motutapu Island - so I thought I had better grab a couple of geocaches while I was over there. One of my girls came for the walk to find this one with me, thanks for the nice easy first geocache for her to find
Hopefully we'll be back again at some stage to put a few more trees in the ground.

To be honest replaced it. It is now in action and was discovered by students throughout the week as they learnt how to geocache.
Another cacher said they will try and place a cache here for me. Or...if anyone is going there, can you please drop one in here for me
We have been 15 minutes on the Island, and we have had two DNF! this is not looking good for the statistics. I was into conspiracy theories that someone had got the co-ords and had done a CITO on caches? Sadly another that will need to be found when we visit the island again
Doing several geocaches today as we wander over to administration bay and back. Couldn't find this one. Lots of tall grass.
Hunted and hunted couldn't find it coordinates took us about 5m away from the pole so hunted around there too... No luck
In Auckland for The Dual on Rangitoto and Mototapu Islands with my work mates. Taking some time out to do some caching while I can. This lady was sat on to of the cache when I arrived and when I asked if she would mind me having a hunt around she jumped up and introduced herself as Groober24, great to meet you and look around for 1/2hrs, what a great day and of course. Mission Accomplished TFTC!

Was competing in the Dual then waiting for a guy that was funding for my organisation by running 50 marathons in 50 days, this was his last one. So waiting to cheer him on did some geocaching.
Was sitting at GZ while waiting for a muggle to come past, then someone else turned up asking to look for something. At last I found another geocacher! Nice to meet you Blenheim Bear. tftc

We had a look for this cache as we headed up the track yesterday. There were plenty of signs of searching around the posts nearby and since it hadn't been logged online we started to fear that it might not still be in place. When a vehicle came along we decided that it was time to continue up the track. . . . Eight hours later when we came back down very hot and tired we had another brief look.
This morning before breakfast we wandered over to the pole for a final and thorough search. This time the cache was located quite quickly, and in the location we had looked at previously. Opened it up and were once again a bit surprised to find the blank logbook. Our 1060th FTF! Celebrated by doing a spot of Pole Dancing. Thanks!

This cache might be the incentive to go purchase tickets EARLY to try for an ftf.......
There on placement. Need my pole just to walk let alone pole dance . Most enjoyable day out on such a beautiful island thanks.
Were there on placement and have been waiting and waiting and waiting for someone to find this cache before we could log it. It was a super fantastic day out with great company and of course a few caches along the way. Ps love the photo of Mark pole dancing.
We were also there on placement, and have been waiting and waiting for someone to claim a FTF before we could claim this smiley! Lots of jokes about pole dancing was made while we were enjoying a great day on the island with some fantastic people, finding caches. Thanks for placing the cache Sam!
I too was part of the grabone group and here on placement. It was an awesome day out although very tiring. There were many poles that could have been used for dancing although funny enough we didn't meet anyone doing so on our travels.
Yaah! Finally after 2 whole months this cache is signed off, thanks to kiwicouple. yes, it was a magnificent day, the caching was great and so was the company. We wondered how long it might be before UncleSamNZ could get to see some smilies.
Congratulations to kiwicouple for FTF, 2 months after publication. Was with the GrabOne group on placement and now that FTF has been claimed, im logging this one. TFTC Sam
On the island with a group of cachers exploring the area. Was at GZ at placement for this one. TFTC
With the others on placement for this one, good to see that the island has had some more visitors and I can now log this cache as found. TFTC
