Thanks so much Tyred n Cranky! This was in a great spot for the kids to find. Were really enjoying this activity!
Found with The X-Trailers as we travelled the roads out of St Anaud.A great morning doing adv labs and locating caches.TFTC
Another day in St Arnaud with my trusty mtb. I'd managed to get myself on the road for home........ but then gad to stop here. No more stops today!!! Many thanks
Decided to head up the highway for another day and to grab those caches I've been driving past on previous trips. Started here and headed south before taking a triangle direction.
One last one on this road before a couple more on the next one. Cache found without issue an all was good.
Thanks again Tyred n Cranky...

Dromaniax needed to get their Caravan to their block in Moonambel so I offered the use of my geomobile (The Ginja Ninja, named because it is used for stealth caching attacks) to aid the project. Once the van was delivered we set up camp so the rest of the afternoon and even could be devoted to some caching.
A plan was formed with a mix of Adventure labs and caches heading to St Arnaurd for dinner.
Neither of us had cached along this road in previous trips to St Arnaud so it was a good chance for a few smileys.
Last cache for now it's time to head straight to St. Arnaurd and some dinner.
Thank you strange Tyred n Cranky for the smiley

Mr Sims_family and Mr Dromaniax had headed up to Moonambel to take the Dromaniax caravan to their property. It was decided that they would camp overnight at the property and do a little caching around the area.
So the caravan had been delivered at the tent and stretchers set up. As the Avoca pub was closed today it was decided we would head up to St Arnaud to check out dinner options there.
We decided to cache our way up to pick up caches neither of us had found on that trip.
Neither of us had cached up this round so it was a good choice for us to pick up a few smileys.
We arrived at this cache right as the sun had dropped below the horizon. Headlamps made it easy for us to find this cache.
The cache is in great condition.
Thank you for this Traditional cache Tyred n Cranky

The fifteenth find on my COVID 19 Roadtrip. Been cooped up for weeks and taking a short break to St Arnaud to clear my mind and get some fresh air. A nice easy find.
Hi there Tyred n Cranky.
We found your cache **"Medlyn's Corner"** at 11:23:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 24517).
We started the day off by nominating a cache near our camp site and then took a route that was mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 21 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic travels around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

#4144 Heading home from our long weekend away at St Arnaud picking up a trail of caches on our way along Dunolly Road to ensure we get our fix for the day . Didn't bump into anyone from the Medlyn family today, but we did spot and sign the cache. Thanks Tyred n Cranky.
After attending the St Arnaud Mega this weekend we visited a friend at Wareek yesterday and are making our way home to Mildura today. Stopped to find this cache along the way. Nice easy find on this will be warm day. TFTC
Now that the Mega was over, there was still more caching to be had so I joined up with fellow Canberra geobuddies kittykatch, Smittengranny and Joolay, AKA Capital Crunchers.

This weekend was the St. Arnaud Mega event and I was looking forward to hitting the road for a few days doing some flat out caching, visiting many new and amazing places and catching up with lots of caching friends. The event was a great success and heaps of fun. The caches provided by the local cachers were, in many cases, absolutely mind blowing (FUF009 caches most notably). All in all it was a great weekend, very warm weather and lots of caches found.

Found during a trip to St Arnaud to attend the Mega event.
FeatherWaite, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday, taking a circuitous, but scenic route to St Arnaud to pick up a few caches in some other Victorian LGAs. We met up with Freddo and Davidwazza at the event that evening and teamed up to complete a couple more caches that night together before camping out of town.
Over the next three days we cached very solidly in and around St Arnaud, finding a diverse range of Traditional, Multi, Unknown, Virtual, Letterbox, Wherigo and Earthcaches as well as attending all the events associated with the Mega. We also managed to complete all the Lab caches over the weekend. Logbooks were signed D.E.F.F.98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo and gridge98).
On the Sunday afternoon, after the final GIFF event, FeatherWaite and I began making our way back to Adelaide, picking up a couple of caches before camping in the Little Desert NP. The following day we continued towards home with a side visit to Mount Rescue to pick up a few caches along the tracks there.
Thanks to all the cache owners for placing and maintaining the caches. They included a huge variety of containers, hides and puzzles, many of which were very clever and/or amusing and had obviously taken considerable time and effort to construct. Thanks also to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. I’ll be looking forward to the Mega at Millicent in South Australia next Easter!

Found during a trip to St Arnaud to attend the 2019 Victorian Mega event. The weekend was spent primarily with e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo, and gridge98 as we geocached around the vicinity of St Arnaud. All of the events and CITOs were attended, we completed the available adventure labs and lab caches available at the showgrounds, many of the creative trails were gasped at their construction, and interesting puzzles were solved and collected during the weekend.
We all left on Thursday in two separate cars, and met up at the evening event, before finding a camp spot for the night in a very CITO location. On Friday, we targeted the StARS (St Arnaud Ramble Series) and the higher quality, well-constructed geocaches that were famous here in St Arnaud, and got lucky with the 2019 published series that we managed to snag FTFs on. Sunday had us continuing to find the other sets of high-quality caches around the neighbouring town parks, the challenge series, before spending a few hours at geocaching HQ participating in the labs that had been published. The event was also great to see some of the South Australians honoured with geocaching life awards (in amongst everyone on the list). Our final day, Sunday, had us do a big loop finishing off our geocache collection, driving all the way out to Kooreh and around via Stuart Mill, walking the conservation park at Mount Gowar, and finishing off at the GIFF event. A massive weekend that turned out to be a great mega! Thanks to all those who organised the Mega and the associated events. The variety between the local high-quality caches, the new series placed by the mega team, and those who needed to be around for the labs and main centre fielding questions was appreciated immensely.
Today with our final day in St Arnaud, we went east and south focusing on some of the *Original Road* series, and the various geocaches that were placed along these routes. This cache was one of these found as we headed towards Stuart Mill. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache. The logbook was signed as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, FeatherWaite, Freddo, and gridge98).

Found as part of our trip to the St Arnaud Mega event. On Day 1, e.gregory1, gridge98 and I left Adelaide on the Thursday morning, straight after the Earlybirds event in North Adelaide. We travelled a long and circuitous route via Bordertown, Nhil and Warracknabeal to find caches in 5 additional Victorian LGAs that I had yet to visit (namely Buloke, Loddon, [Greater Bendigo - I’d previously visited], Mt Alexander, Hepburn and Central Goldfields). On Days 2-4 we met up with Freddo and Davidwazza. As a group we systematically completed each of the many series around St Arnaud and found all other caches along the way, signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, Featherwaite and gridge98), as well as attending the events and completing the Lab caches. After the Mega, e.gregory1 and I headed back to Adelaide camping out in Little Desert NP overnight. On Day 5 we had intended picking up caches around Mundulla and Mount Monster but a last minute change of plans saw us head into Ngarkat CP instead, for a solid drive and a few extra rewarding cache finds. Many thanks to all the cache owners for placing the huge variety of caches around St Arnaud and to all those who organised the Mega and the fantastic weekend away. Thanks for the cache Tyred n Cranky!

What a big trip this was! I headed over to St Arnaud for the 2019 Victorian mega with e.gregory1, Davidwazza, Featherwaite and Freddo for the long weekend.
The weekend was filled with a lot of finds ranging in puzzles, a few events and some very well constructed hides around the area.
Day 1: I headed over with e.gregory1 and featherwaite, with the aim to collect some unfound LGAs for the guys, with only a 500km drive to the mega from home we added an extra 450km to the trip by going over to Bendigo and further south exploring some regional towns, overall we added an extra 6 LGAs with only 18 finds for the day. Was great to see some of the interesting little towns and what they had to offer for future visits.
Day 2: As a group we hit the trails in St Arnaud as a group signing the logbooks as DEFF98 (Davidwazza, e.gregory1, Freddo, featherwaite and gridge98) to save a lot of room in the logbook. We started off with the geoart Stars and thought it would take most of the day, as we finished it in 2.5 hours we were a bit surprised so hit the well constructed caches in the south of the town in the bush throwing a CITO in the mix. All the caches were amazing and something you don’t see anywhere else. Adding in 15 FTFs along the way with: everlasting, crank1 and Pwola. The evening settled in and we headed into town for a buffet dinner and a catch up with some familiar faces.
Day 3:
After attending the GV2020 event for the morning we set off to hit the last of the trails left in town of the metal containers, followed by the challenges for the mega as well as quite a few trads around the back roads. We ended the day by having a go at the lab caches at the mega then off to the CITO. I don't think I have ever seen so mant people at a tip before. Topped off the day with an evening event.
Day 4: By today the town was almost cleaned out and only a few caches to find, so we did the last few caches within a rough 15km radius driving around finding the odd cache here and there. The GIFF was finished off the mega so we decided to head to Horsham for the evening.
Day 5: After leaving our camp site for the morning, we cached for the morning around Horsham collecting a few grads and a well earned swim. Then made the long drive back home to Adelaide.
Thanks to all the COs for their cache placements and the Geocaching Victoria crew for organising a fantastic weekend away.

After having a very hectic time at home over the last couple of weeks we decided to get away from it all and do a bit of caching by ourselves and as we had solved all of the Stars series here and also to get a few caches out of the way before the mega to give us more time to socialize.
This was another quick find of the cache after simply following the GPSr directly to GZ and our name was added to the log book.

Great to see future generations still staying on the land as I know a few people whos kids could not wait to get off the farm.
Thanks Tyred n Cranky TFTC
I had a few days off, so what better place to head than St Arnaud for some quality cache finding, I had a great time finding caches over three days and even caught up with some good friends while in the area. I cant wait to return for the Mega, this is My second visit to the area and it certainly offers some of the best hides in the state.
Thanks Tyred n Cranky for the cache.

**# 23677** Found on our Feb 'Escape the northern heat' trip.
And now a cool day for a drive around while at St Arnaud.
Not many muggles around these roads today. .
All good safe hides and mainly quick finds.

Here for the '10 Months to the Saint Arnaud Event', event this afternoon. We decided to get an early start and find some cool caches, after the event we were able to keep on caching long into the afternoon. I dropped some rare pathtags in some random caches today. Thanks for the cache Tyred n Cranky.

TFTC. We decided to go for a drive today before the heat got too much later in the week. First stop Redbank and then on to Stuart Mill and a small circle back along the highway to collect a few Original Road Puzzles before heading back to Maryborough.
A quick find and we turned back toward Stuart Mill. Will be back inSt Arnaud on the weekend.

Heading home from the Parkeville Mega but had to come to St Arnaud to do this years caches. A warm day and again you have excelled yourself with the cache containers. TFTC. A lot of favourites here.
I started my day targeting some of the solved puzzles on a very hot, windy day and picked up a few trads along the way.
I was very aware of the possibility of snakes and I was very vigilant and thankfully I didn't spot any on my travels.
This was an easy find after getting a couple of puzzles.
I will be back to continue finding some of the awesome caches around St Arnaud.

After returning from the early morning foray to Donald to attend the Brekky event there and to collect the local caches in that town, I had some lunch before I again joined forces with the ever delightful Bushfire for an afternoon of caching around the St Arnaud area. It was a mixed bag, collecting some for Bushfire that I had found, and some for me that he had found but mostly others that we were both seeking Ush fire had worked with a Medlyn whose family is from this area TFTC Tyred and Cranky
Google is not my friend anymore due to having my email address locked last Wednesday night and not getting it back until a few days ago.
This caused me a lot of hassles during my caching trip to St Arnaud last weekend by not receiving any notifications of new caches and having to rely on my mates and some of them had problems with the Telstra coverage but we got there in the end.
Adding to my problems I am now many days behind in my logging so it will a generic log for the most part.
Also on returning home my printer decided to go to sleep.
A week later I think everything including my tablet is back to normal, so phone, tablet and computer are all finally working as you would expect them to.
It is interesting to note the number of geocaching folk who head up to St Arnaud to attend this weekend seems to increase in numbers each year and how far away they have to go for accommodation thus the reason I book ahead each year.
Today I am accompanied by my good friend au.fait as we ventured up to Donald to clean out that area and then returned back to St Arnaud for lunch. Afterwards we headed down this way as every time I am passing I have the caravan on behind so have not ventured down this section of road. My old saying "Expect the unexpected" came true along here.
As my caching partner has stated I did work with Earl Medlyn for many years and also went out to a reunion with him only the day before heading up to St Arnaud, small world.
Thanks Tyred n Cranky for placing this cache. F.P.

As always the great co-ords pointed to where I wanted to be and the cache was found. Left with the og book signed and my backside quite comfortable. The car seat is better than a bike seat I feel.

Today was my first day of my holidays and I was heading to the weekend events at St Arnaud. The caches I chose along the way were stop and revive caches spread out between Ballarat and St Arnaud. Nice quick find, and I was on my way again.
My thanks to Tyred n Cranky for the cache.
