Out on a maintenance run with granny, vegetation at gz dwindled and cache out in the open.
Another find with a newbie in tow. She needed the hint to narrow it down but got it. Muggle no longer.
wandering past intending to maintain a bunch of mine, dodging a muggle on a horse who just wanted to be right there at that moment and to chat... then the gps did some wandering of its own.. so in the end just went for the obvious. great to be finding other CO's caches out this way makes my repair runs all that more interesting;-) unfortuatnely (as usual) the pen had not been added to the bag - so a photo log is supplied:-)
Took the oportunity of beautiful weather and long weekend to gather a couple of caches at one of my favourite beaches. Hot sand, hot sand, owwee, maybe sandels weren't the best footwear today. Nice quick easy find. TFTC
I was out at Muriwai with a muggle friend today, so I took the opportunity to introduce her to geocaching and grab a few caches while I was there. We took a short walk along this road till we got to this cache, which was quickly found before we turned around and headed back to the car - in quite squally weather! Think we might have actually met Tara at the CO's earlier cache! TFTC!
Decided to use this sunny day for some geocaching in Woodhill Forest. Easy find before returning to the car. TFTC
Orienteering in the forest today and made a stop on the way out, with Okayness, for a quick find. TFTC
Funny ! Didn't understand the hint till at GZ ! Funny ! Nice quick find in obvious sort of place thanks urbangypsynz !
Having a great time exploring the area. Had to walk a little further to find this one, but with the help of the hint, found almost straight away, the GPS wanted me to go a little further down the track. Not required for this find
After walking around the forest for three hours as walking past collected this cache, great hint knew where cache should be, was hiding well, but soon saw it then tried a couple of times to grab it signed and replaced into its hiding spot TFTC.
Super easy... But really enjoyed finding our first proper cache. We logged our find on the paper... First to do so, guessing it must have been replaced recently. Left a treasure
Out here today with Teotocchi before she leaves us for posher shores and started the day with this one. Nice day to be out with plenty of bikers and dog enthusiasts around, but all quiet at GZ. Nice quick find in the likely spot and we were on our way. TFTC
My first time walking in this part of Muriwai. Hint made total sense once at GZ and a quick find made. Left TB to continue it's journey
Swapped container over but forgot new log paper will replace next visit. Beautiful night for a walk out with geodog.
Had a lovely walk with Mr P to Gz - thankfully the cache was not in the restricted area. Quick find and a stroll back to the car in the sunshine. t4tc
Yet another heavenly dog walk with bertie blowfish and 5 geodogs ( a friends black lab included ) to pick up this nicely placed cache. Thanks Urbangypsy!
Our first find. very exciting! Good one to start with. Are keen to check out others in the area now ☺
Out here on our bikes today so it felt like we had barely got going when we arrived at GZ. A shower of rain decided to arrive at the same time as us so just as well we had the wet weather gear on.

Came by here after doing the Vultures cache (final) and three others up in thar 'ills. After those ones, this was a welcome walk rather than a tramp. Soon had the little container in hand with a good clue. Paper very dry which is always good news. Thanks L for that. Heaps of doggies around here today! I think just about every car at the carpark had at least one.
Visited today, all is good. Beautiful day for a walk after the bad weather over the last few days. Thank you Yukonmurch for leaving the beautiful pins.
A quick find, out & about on our morning walk. There was nobody around, only the occasional rabbit...much to the delight of the geodogs. Thanx ftc
Found today. Took the Travel Bug (YE7VR9) and left a couple of pins from Yukon, Canada.

Went and signed log today. Dog was pleased as it made for a longer walk which included both the beach and the river on a very hot day.
We found this one today but unfortunately didn't have pen with us. We will sign the log next time we are passing. We are here most weekends with our geodog and its just along the road a bit from our own cache Kahlan's Escape. Beautiful spot. TFTC
I don't share anybody's pain!
Today I ordered a pair of shoes with the same material they have on the space shuttle: Nomex Felt Reusable Surface Insulation (FRSI) , this white flexible fabric can protect my feet from 371 degree re-entry heat!! Great for the Muriwai sand! First used on the payload bay doors it is now available for the general public, unfortunately for me though Urbangypsynz I won't get it in time for the FTF, oh well, maybe in 4 months time when I get the shoes you might have another FTF for me...

Hi could the first finder please collect Aztec Gold's First to Find Geo-Award. Thsnks
I was in such a rush to get down in case I was first to find that I didn't read the map properly and ended up on the wrong side of the river. Last time i did that I ended up tramping through marshlands, today with the 28deg temps the sand was on FIRE. So indeed were my jandal clad feet. I leaped from tussock clump to tussock clump with welcome paddle through the stream before making the final few hundred meters. I spied GZ from afar and scurried along, anxious that every cyclist and jogger I passed had beaten me to it.
HURRAH an empty log book and first to find coin!
A most happy consolation for third degree burns on my feet.
Have left a TB for the next adventurer. Good on Tara for making it this far, our twilight dogs are finding it all a bit much for them now too. TFTC!

I share your pain, I stupidly had jandals on last night when I finalised the placement. Congrats on your FTF you deserve it:)
