As I sat a woman came up and said ‘o, they’ve moved the seat’. I couldn’t find cache. Might need co to check again. Look out for wasp nest under the seat!!!
Oh I love how you can make a cache out of the bare necessities! No problems finding this one
The kids and I have come camping at Wentworth valley for the weekend. We have done a bit of hiking, fishing, swimming and geocaching it’s been a great weekend thanks for all the hides some really good camouflage on most of the caches.
I was down in Whiritoa doing a hardish walk to rustynz's 2 cliff caches. Then I decided to come up to Whangamata for a mystery cache final and a few trads.
Love these type of hides, so simple and can be put anywhere. Yes I did sit, peruse my surroundings and when the coast was clear dived for the cache. Thanks G. Nice to be back in Whangamata today.

Another one snagged and tagged. Cheers
Day 12 - Tuesday 29 December - Whangamata - Opoutere - Onemana and back to Whangamata today. Some local beaches to explore so lets go!
The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are off on another geocaching escape over Xmas, this time to the mighty Coromandel, then over to Opotiki and stop off at Rotorua to return home on 5 January. Had an fabulous time exploring many wonders of our country. Rounding up over 400 caches along the way, with a few LABS, 20 odd TMGTs, virtuals and lots of interesting earth caches to keep the mind busy. Watching the sun come up on New Years Day at Mt Maunganui was spectacular. Lots of walking and even more driving. But had an awesome time. Thanks to all COs who made this adventure so special.

Cache was on the wrong side, returned according to the hint. Nice of the CO to provide somewhere to sit while we write up our cache notes!
Taybeedragon and I went on a tour of the Coromandel - one of the few places of New Zealand, especially of Te ika a Maui, that I have yet to explore throughly, and from there along the coast to Opotiki to see one of my many, many sisters. From 18 December to 5 January we found over 400 caches, including 12 adventure labs (60 caches), 20 or so TMGTs and a host of virtuals and earthcaches. And I hosted an event to see the sun come up on New Year's day - surprisingly popular given that it was at 5am. We climbed a lot of hills, saw some amazing beaches that were quite popular despite (or because of) the insane access to them, walk a lot of bush, entered and explored 8 gold mines and generally had an awesome time. However I am glad to be back, but now is the hard part, and I fear it will take just as long - logging!

Survived the virus but remembered. What I nice simple idea for a favourite point. TFTC
Clever hide, clever title. All good here thanks to a new mini log sheet placed by Rusty and friends. Thanks G-2’s Bodyguard.
In Whangamata for a kayak adventure, took a short walk to GZ to find the cache. A little early for muggles, so easy retrieval, with rebel98
Thanks for the hide G-2
Thanks for the hide G-2
Found with rustynz. On way to Donut Island. Fun hide, no muggles about, but it is early. Rusty has replaced log that was in pieces. Thanks G-2
Today is the first time I have seen this type of cache. Works well. Log a little ratty but still ok. Thanks very much G-2's Bodyguard
Found on my trip north enjoying the caches. Better weather today so need to catch up on caches that I missed yesterday because of the rain
Found as a part of a previous group TanjackMüley, aka WanderingSparrow. Now I'm continuing on my own. TFTC
Really cool cache here. Sat down for a few seconds and enjoyed the red hot pokers in flower. Tftc gtwo.
Early morning Caching Mission to see what was up the Coromandal Peninsula, and working our way back from Whitianga down to Whangamata. This way we would leave enough caches to make the cache run worth it, hitting it from the south which would make it an easier day next time.Today I was in the company of HKCB, (logs were generally signed HKCD) and we soon set in putting the world to rights, discussed may sports and enjoyed good music, caches along with fantastic sunshine.Managed a total of 63 caches and only 3DNF's so all in all a pretty good outcome. We set out from home, departing at 3am with a long drive, and big day ahead of us. The good thing at this time is that there are very few other cars to worry about on the winding roads. We eventually made it back home by 4.30pm.
Now as we near the end of our day, there may be time to see what more we can grab. must have been getting tired at this point as the hint made no sense to the cache location, oh well, came up with the goods.
A big thank you to all the cache owners for their diligence in maintaining these caches for the likes of us to enjoy.

We are on a road trip in our campervan to do some bike trails with geocaches along them and the plan is to head to Bowentown and on up to Whangamata then on to Pauanui. All these places have bike trails with geocaches along them so I wish to thanks the C O s who placed the geocaches along the trails as We really enjoy doing trails and getting geocaching numbers up.
Other geocaches were also sought out as we went along to help fill the day in. We were pleased most caches were well maintained and only had 3 no finds along the way
many thanks

Today fazzyOne and me visited Donut Island. On our way to the beach we found this cache. Thanks for showing.
Such a lovely place to chill. Found pretty easy once re read the description as we were lead to the greenery
Finaly found a beach to have breakfast and a swim at the same time!. After having the breakfast we first went for a stroll to pick up a few caches. When finished there was the swim. Thanks for hiding these easy finds!
I found this one with no problem. It is still hanging together amazingly well considering what it is. In and out in 12.6 seconds. TFTC.
After a short furtle a around the cache was in hand.
Signed the log and replaced as found

Great wee cache. The place is starting to become loud with music, nice to be part of it. Thanks
Absolutely no one around so I employed the age old game of hunting around on my hands and knees doing visual checks, I eventually found it, by going back to the usual way of searching for seat hides. I'd been feeling for a different type of camo for some reason. Quite like these sneaky little hides! Thanks G-2.
I really like these restful hides! I wasn't quite sure what the hint meant until, whilst checking the seating, I spotted something out of place. The clever little hide was soon signed and replaced. TFTC.
Quick scan around looking for possibilities I've seen. Then i spotted it. Not one I've seen before and very clever. Really hit today. Beginning to wish I had brought my swimming jeans.
Good cache hide but had to feel for it stealthily! Thanks for placing it in the beautiful Coromandel.
This is actually quite a cool cache. I admired the simple but very functional construction while I signed the log.
Thanks for bringing me here too.

Interesting cache and wasn’t expecting one of these. Busy spot but able to get cache and sign logs discreetly. TFTC
Very simple and ingenious system ! I like it and I think I will export the idea when I go back in France TFTC
Here we are in Whangamata, on a cycling day out with the Katikati Greyhounds. The weather is FAR better than in Tauranga when we left, so we are taking the opportunity to do a few more caches in this lovely area. Loved the camo here - could hardly believe it. Cache is all good. TFTC
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is twelve but I just might go over that number. I am very thankful to the COs that there are quite a few caches in Whangamata for me continue with my challenge.
Cheers for the cache.

Found on early morning walk before heading off tried this one after not finding lost souls
Road trip around the Coromandel with lots of caches to find. Quick find, great container. TFTC.
Making our very first trip ever to Whangamata this weekend. Our primary purpose being to find as many G--2 caches as we can, as we are trying to qualify for a Nelson Challenge cache, to complete 1000 caches by one cache owner.
We bought an icecream to cool us down after our walk on the estuary point in the hot sun. Parked up here to eat them while out waiting some people at GZ. Once they had moved on, we moved in to claim the find. Thanks for this one.

Finally after coming to try and find this one after 4 tries Igot it. Really unbelievable how I managed all those done ..blindness perhaps or just a clever hide. I can rest easy now as this one was really bugging me.Tftc
We have been here before and DNFd. Very sneaky G--2. Have a fav, not just for this cache, but for all your work around town and beyond.
This one made us smile. My son didn't get the hint Something a little different but strikingly familiar. I appreciated the craftsmanship. Cheers G-2 TFTC.
The muggles were too busy enjoying the sand and surf, we slipped in like shadows and stole away like ghosts. T4tc
You have to wonder how you miss these things on the first look. Still persistance paid off here. Thanks.
Missed it on the first sweep but TF got it on the 2nd. Only after finding it did the connection between the title, the clue and the cache make sense. TFTC
2297 After CITO in Waihi carried on to clear some caches (28) in Whanga. Was not expecting that. Well done.
Very clever! We were growing a bit despondent, errantly thinking that it was a bolt. Thanks for this. No maintanence needed, although log strip is running out of room.
Tftc! This was found by the juniorest member of the scoobydoo tribe (4yrs old). Dont think he actually realised it was the cache first up, but then the log came out. Whoop...well done junior! thanks for another great hide.
Getting a few in after Beach Hop before we head back home tomorrow. Beautiful spot. TFTC.
The first time I came here the table was full of people chatting so I did some more caches in town and came back later to find the place deserted. Found very quickly this time. TFTC
Out in the rain to get as many Whanga caches as I can in my short stay! No one else around made a quick search easy! Tftc
We've never come across a cache such as this before... very unique, and what a great idea; well done. *[#1,999]*
Tidying up the caches in Whangamata, nice to have a bit of sunshine. Great hide here, thanks
Clearing up the rest of the caches we missed the day before before heading back to Auckland after the annual Waitangi Weekend campout. A crafty little hide here, and it all made sense once we found it. Thanks for the hide!
On the way to this cache with alpenmilch80 and 11hpg11 we noticed a gentleman who was walking along the beach and sniffing his shoes very intently for quite some time. So next time I get told I have a weird hobby I'll remember that guy and his nose full of shoes and just remember we're all into different things.
Very cool hide here, but no shoes. TFTC
