Tftc, out checking the beaches and campsites. Beautiful place to be in a sunny day. Sand plovers. Dolphins and dingo tracks. A must visit when on the Yorke Peninsula.
Here we are, the 3 Stooges (weredunn4, WayneAPN and myself) hit the beautiful Yorkes Peninsula again.
This time we are targeting the Sea Horse series of caches and is often the case with us, no doubt there will be a few other bonus caches along the way.
A typical day out for us now, going hard for caches but truckloads of trash-talk, banter and laughs
All caches located & stamped, and most importantly, maintenance performed where needed.

Out again with the Stooges gang. Hitting some more artwork and other targeted D/T caches.
Drive by this one so just had to stop and find it.

Ttrogg picked up the Rat from the Rat's den.
Then we headed out for a Wednesday Wander to the Yorkes .
This one and others in the area were on our list.
We obeyed the signs on the gates.
Navigated our way through the potholes and sand.
We split up and started to search.
Ttrogg went to the end where I had just looked around and soon had the cache in his hands.
Stamped the logbook and returned it to it's hiding spot. Tftc

Found during another Wednesday Wander with the Rat, once again we headed for that mecca for cachers from all over, the Yorke Peninsula. Didn't complete the days list but we did find quite a variety of old and new caches and visited places neither of us had been to before. So an enjoyable and successful day was had and home in time to surprise cats and partner respectively
This was the first of four caches that needed gates opened, and closed of course, potholes and ruts avoided or suffered, and some sandy bits negotiated. A quickish find after rechecking a certain area already examined.
Thanks OzFiresafe for putting out this cache for us all to find.
Cache #13135 for me.
This log composed and published using GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife).

We were camping nearby this weekend and found this while exploring with Baking Tray Pancakes. Such a shame ppl dont take their rubbish home with them when camping out here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
Another afternoon drive with the Muggle Mrs. She had not been up the top of the Yorke for some time so a perfect day to go for a drive where she reluctantly allowed Mr Adder to grab a few smilies.
We were very disappointed that there were no Bakeries in Kadina or Wallaroo for tourists on a Sunday:(. Either they didn't exist, were not well sign posted or were closed but we went around and around the town searching for one with no luck. We had to resort to stopping at a cafe and choose from the grim pickings they had on offer.
All caches were is good condition unless stated otherwise.
The Adders had been looking at this hide and a few others in the area however were concerned about access considering the area and terrain. Time to test out the capabilities of the X-Trail. Rocking and Rolling, navigating our way over the terrain avoiding the pot holes we finally made it to GZ where the cache was soon found safe and sound. There were others in the area that would have taken another few hours to reach and return so we considered that we did not want to risk getting stranded in the dark so these will have to wait until another day.
Thank you for the cache OzFiresafe Find Number 10421 on 19/02/2023

We stopped here briefly on our way to the beach via cape Elizabeth in sea eagles 4wd. Once our momentum was up there was no way the driver was stopping for many cache so we were lucky he wanted to stop to check his map here.
Thank you for placing this for us to find. Thank you for contributing to the geo map and maintaining when required. TFTC

TFTC. Day 7 of honeymoon caching trip. Just off caching today, don’t need anything fixed … so far … * touch wood * !
Happy caching and safe travels!

Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
A chilly one today but that won't put us off our quest. We have enjoyed our time travelling the YP. Fantastic towns, ruins, beaches and cliffs. Thanks to all the COs for taking us on a geo-guided tour.

Chilly weather has returned and storm coming later today so on a mission to clear as many as we can around Kadina/Moonta/Wallaroo with iluvtrekking. Great views on the way to gz. Thanks OzFiresafe
Found it! We had been 4WD from the gap up to the cape and came back via the dirt road and I asked if we could stop at the cool old graffiti ridden rusty tank thing. My brother and I walked over to it and I saw the Vegemite jar and was like wtf is this. Thought it was rubbish or something. Made my day I was so excited to have found it!!
Came looking for this a couple of years ago and it definitely wasn’t here. Another try today and happy to sign log and get a smiley face.
I wouldn’t attempt it if there’s been lots of rain.

Found during a tour around the Weetulta, Balgowan and Nalyappa area to clear the cluster of caches from my map. Thanks for the cache OzFiresafe!
Had taken off to meet up with the froghoppin cacher duo for some copper coastal caching today. A few bumpy sandy tracks were traversed with our two cars in convoy, the tracks were great, no issues at all. But a little rain tomorrow could change all that
Most of the caches were quick finds and in good health, a couple needed some TLC. Most of the coastline was beautiful and pristine , a couple of spots were sadly turned to dumping grounds. [:(!]
Found the glass jar here quite quickly. Mr frog took the trackable to move it along.
I left another one for the next finder to move along!
A very impressive tanky thing.
Some messy graffiti here, mostly just tagging but the tank did feature a cat which made me happy
Appreciation to OzFiresafe for placing and maintaining this cache on our geo map

This cache was found and logged using some or all of the resources of GSAK (Geocaching Swiss Army Knife), Garmin Montana 750i, Montana 680t, Etrex 35, Samsung S20+, Samsung S9, with Geocaching App, c:Geo, or Geooh Go, and Android Auto and other maps... or sometimes with just plain old dumb luck!

Do stay safe when caching.
Watch for snakes, random cliffs, wild goats, wombats, bulldust, and lightning,
try not to get tetanus from rusty mint tins... but especially lookout for bugs. [xx(]
Make sure Travel Bugs are the only ones you share and pass on
2020 turned into 2020won, and 2020too is on the way! 2020free should see us through
Still important to observe social distancing when possible, (150 nano caches apart should do it)
Still important to wash your hands (always has been really [:o)]
Still very important to look after each other and take precautions & get checked out for even the tiniest sniffle or cough, or unexpected headache! [8)] [B)]
Still even more important to get some fresh air and exercise while we can, so get out and cache the country!
Thanks so much to all those placing caches out and about away from the city crowds,
keeps our game safe and interesting

A day trip with Mattycat to explore some coastal roads with caches and some 4wd practice for Mrs Frog, a quick find here for us today and we even picked up a trackable, spotted another of these tanks down the road but had to keep moving as the sun was getting low

Today, the weather was forecast to be dismal with thunderstorms and a rain drenching! Consequently, gridge98 and I retreated to the more dry vicinity of Upper Yorke Peninsula. Other than a few drizzles, we had good weather. We visited Paskeville, Kadina, Moonta, Balgowan, Point Pearce, Maitland, and Arthurton, with highlights of the mining relics, 4WD-ing along the west coast beach, and finally dinner and heading around Maitland. A long day out and about, arriving home just after midnight.
We stopped off here for 15 min searching around the place. Our looking were starting to get more and more dangerous, as we started to brainstorm a Mission Impossible style search from the roof vent to enter the tank. After exhausting the possible easy terrain area, we made a PAF, who felt pretty confident to where the cache should have been. Alas, no cache there, or indeed around the place. There was plenty of debris/rubbish in the tank, so we suspect someone has discovered the cache then when leaving some of their own "cache swag". Consequently, we left a replacement cache on behalf of the CO, in order to keep this one alive. Thanks OzFiresafe for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

On very bumpy road out to this one, we arrived and didn’t have much luck in our search. Used the PAF and the cache was confirmed missing so we replaced it for the co
Today With the weather more promising on the yorke peninsula than in Adelaide, Davidwazza and I decided to head over and clean out as much as we could as well as doing quite a bit of beach 4wdriving.
In total 87 finds within 1 DNF for the day.
Thanks for the Cache

Found after taking a bumpy road up from the gap, a short distance inland. Tftc
Found with Loopy1972 while staying at the nearby Bush camp. Enjoyed the drive. TFTC. .
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.
Dry conditions made for fun, but easy driving today. No need for 4WD, but glad of the clearance in places. The GPSr wanted me to look by the fence, but the cache was found pretty quickly when looking in the logical place.
Thanks for the cache and the fun !

A fun drive in the sand and some mud to GZ. The bush pin striping was added to as well. We made our way back to the shed for a cuppa - which sort of felt like half time. Trev did a minor repair on the shed (some flapping iron was repaired) - so well done on that.
Found on the Footloose Event Weekend Thanks to OzFiresafe and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

On my way to the Footloose event at Warooka with Astro.
This was one of our many stops along the way and definately the most fun drive to GZ [^]
Your have to wonder how they got these things all the way out here!
Cheers & TFTC OzFiresafe

Out for a fun day caching with LLL51 and Madham02. Had a great drive getting here and out to Cape Elizabeth. Saw a couple of these abandoned tanks on our travels. [?]
Thanks for the cache OzFiresafe.
Thanks for the cache OzFiresafe.
Thanks OzFiresafe, we had a great day out there, beautiful weather, good company, lots of caches found.
Found at 12:56 PM GAFF1 in the company of DiMorgan - we signed our name in the log book as "DIP".
This apart of the caching day was the highlight for us. Loved navigating around the tracks and the scenery at the end was fantastic.
This cache was very confusing - we found the cache easily enough, but couldn't understand how it had finds dated 2010 when the cache was published in 2015? We then saw that the group that placed the cache signed the log book a couple of days before it was published. That night Dazzatron had dinner with us and all was explained
So are we the official FTF'ers ?
Thanks OzFiresafe.

What a weekend!
Set out Saturday with Dennisc52, CPwanderer and Clare007 in Dennisc52's geomobile, accompanied by Moneydork and Tounga in theirs.
We met firesafe over there too.
I bailed ship on Saturday night when Dennisc52 and crew returned home, so that I could continue to cache on Sunday with Laighside Legends, firesafe and Moneydork and Tounga.
By the end of the weekend, I had finished the 'current' geoart on YP and totalled 275 & 3DNFs .
Part 2 of the adventure: Laighside and I had the pleasure of being driven by firesafe to some great caching and historical spots that I had never been to before.
Dazza had told me previously about the cache he had hidden here, as we drove past it ages ago.
Today we stopped, found it and then published it.
Well, 5 years is far too long for a cache to sit, unpublished and unloved!
Not quite a FTF but fun, nonetheless

Found It!
Well its been sitting here unfound for 5 years (other than a few beta testers) and we were in the area so I figured it was time I got on and found it. And a FTF as well?
Bit of an unusual spot for an old boiler - I wonder if it was used as a boiler in this spot or they just carted an old one in and used it as a tank?

Wow 5 years just sitting there not published and in good condition. Part of the *FTF* Party
Part of a group FRF on this long neglected cache container. Nice to see that it's now been published as a cache.
