Tried to find this one... but no success, had to head off as all of my fellow passengers were muggles and wanting to leave . Thanks anyway
Sitting at my computer during these Covid lockdowns, I am trying to catch up on a few logs that I haven't sent in yet.
Over the years, geocaching has taken me on many adventures, including interesting destinations all over my home continent of Australia and many overseas as well. It has also introduced me to a diverse group of like-minded caching tragics, many of whom I now call close friends.
Today, I was lucky enough to be out and about searching for caches, something I do on almost a daily basis. This was one cache that was targeted and found.
Sorry for the late log, something I am notorious for. Thank you for adding to the adventure that is geocaching.
Thanks The Rolling Frog (F=432 H=21) for the cache.

We are travelling from Adelaide on a 4wd trip to Alice Springs. We have enjoyed the 4wd tracks in the NT. It was very busy here today but the cache was found. We did the shorter loop walk, this is an amazing place.
Waiting for some Geocacher’s to join us, Micaparamedic and myself decided to fill in time caching. We firstly targeted some puzzles, and after some traditionals. When we met up with Team_Crumble we explored Palm Valley, and then headed to boggy waterhole to camp for the night. Thanks for placing the cache The Rolling Frog, we found it with ease.
Unfortunately we could not find this cache. But we loved the 4WD and the palmtrees. Really worth the visit.
Great spot to go for a walk and check out some amazing sights. Couldn't quite make it to the end of the road so had to walk the rest of the way. Thank you
We are heading off on an outback adventure with Mrs Just a Trifle looking forward to visiting Goodward Station in Boulia, which was once owned by her grandfather, and Mr Just a Trifle hoping to climb Ayers Rock before it is permanently closed to climbing
As usual, with responsibilities caring for grand children and elderly parents, we still can not take the time we would really like to explore this great land of ours so yet again it is mostly an express trip through some terrific locations.
We had no difficulty in locating the cache and with our name added to the log book, we continued on our way.
Thank you The Rolling Frog for placing the cache and for maintaining it for everyone to enjoy

Didn't find it, looked quite long before the Walk and also short after the walk, but no luck
Older log from September 2018 said that they put a new container and log down here and three found that up to January 2019

Unfortunately didn't find this one, seems a couple of others were unlucky as well, but found by others after us. Unsure what happened but always a next time (I hope)
Flew up to Alice Springs for a conference, then met up with e.gregory1 for an epic road trip through the West MacDonnell Ranges, Mereenie Loop Rd, Kings Canyon, Luritja Rd, Ernest Giles Rd, Finke Gorge NP, Hermannsberg, Larapinta Drive, back to the Alice then down the Stuart Hwy to Adelaide, with awesome sights and great caches along the way. Replaced the container as per e.gregory1's post. Thanks for the cache The Rolling Frog!
After spending four days travelling up on my own from Adelaide, I met up with FeatherWaite in Alice Springs for a few days of travelling around and caching.
We visited various places in the West Macdonnells, including Hugh Gorge, then went out to Kings Canyon, up the Finke Gorge track to Hermannsburg, into Palm Valley, then back to Adelaide, taking a week in all. We saw, and camped in some fantastic places, although the late September weather was a little warm!
Noting the three previous separate DNFs and that the cache hadn’t been found since May this year, we undertook a thorough search, but without any luck. The cache was clearly missing - perhaps removed when the shelter was recently repainted. Figuring that it was unlikely that the CO would be able to get out here for a while, we replaced the cache and logbook.
Thanks The Rolling Frog for the cache.

After doing the West MacDonnell Ranges on this part of my great trip up the middle with a couple of muggle friends it was time to start heading south.
Just picking up random caches while I can without upsetting them to much.
Stayed at Palm Valley for a couple of nights. Drove the cruiser over the fun track in and spent 10 mins looking for this one until my muggle friends got impatient and I had to give up the search.
Thanks The Rolling Frog TFTC.

After a bumpy but fun bit of 4wding to get here we found this cache before heading off on the walk.
We loved the area and enjoyed our visit.

After our Parisian trip in the first week of the Easter holidays, we (i and my husband Voske1967) went for 3 weeks to the other side of the world to enjoy the friendly atmosphere, food, landscapes and culture of Australia. Of course, geocaches were also searched for and found in Perth, Monkey Mia, Denham, Newman, Port Hedland, Darwin, Alice Springs, ... . This trip downunder will stay with us for a long time! It was pretty hot in Australia for the autumn season
We had to let the muggles go on their hike and then could reach for the cache @09:45

Drove into camp at the Finke campground on 6th September. Dropped the camper trailer off at the campground and continued on to Palm Valley. Found this one before starting the Mpulungkinya walk. TFTC.
WHOOPS! I'm logging about 100-200 or so caches like 3 months after the trip that we found them on! Completely forgot to log these but I did not forget the trip! Found this cache along with many others on an adventure around the red centre. Along this adventure we visited and explored many phenomenal and surreal places such as Woomera, Coober Pedy, Uluru and Mutitjulu, Kata Tjuta, Wattarka, Tnorala, Both East and West Macdonnell ranges, Arltunga, Ruby Gap, Palm Valley, Parts of the Finke road, Boggy Hole, Rainbow Valley, Old Ghan Route, Chambers Pillar, Oodnadatta track, Mount Dare, Dalhousie Springs, Painted Desert, Moon plane and I'm sure I've missed a few! Thank you so much for the cache. Found with Ferociousflea and -Beaker- along with our mint 79 series that accomplished alot in this two week time frame.

What an adventure getting here! We loved the drive up the valley. The walk is beautiful as well. In the information shelter we read the hint, looked up and there it was. Greetings from the Netherlands!
Today we explored Palm Valley picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them. We enjoyed the 4x4ing to this great area. A quick find.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

I had been wondering about that sign at the turnoff to Palm Valley,
the one that said "Extreme Four Wheel Drive Conditions",
or something like that
The drive to the campgrounds was an absolute doddle
I kept driving as far as Cycad Gorge,
at which point the so called 'Extreme' bit kicks in.
But as walking had now become faster than driving,
I abandoned geomobile and set off on hoof to take in the views
Reaching the info hut,
I was alone !!
Looks like I'm the only one out here
Which is rather amazing given the world renown that Palm Valley has !!
And after reading up on all things Palm Valley related,
I spied the cache

Givi g the 4wd a workmout. Excited to be seeing this place. Thankfully one member of our team had the right attributes to retrieve this one. Tftc
After a nice night at the camp ground with everyone else in the world, we had a fun time 4wding out to here to take the walk through the valley.
Our turning up to the shelter coincided with a large tour group, so we had to sit there and wait them out so we could find the cache, to which we did, then after signing the log, we had to wait out another group so we could replace it.

It was suggested to us back in Melbourne that we should visit a couple of places and this was one of them. Thankfully the opportunity arose and we were able to travel with Dazzpete and Skullracing who were also going to this awesome location. Took a few minutes to retrieve the cache but a lot longer to return it. Such a beautiful area that I can't blame the muggles for wanting to be here. Thanks for the cache and thanks for bringing us here.
As we start our journey home from Alice Springs with Geo/rge after attending the Red Centre Experience.
We are enjoying the sites and sounds that all the caches are taking us to.
After staying the night at the nearby camp ground, we ventured deeper into Palm Valley.
A quick find was made and the log signed.

Now we are getting closer to our overnight stop of Palm Valley. Travelling with Skullracing for a couple of weeks to go to some of the more scenic and remote parts of SA/NT. Palm Valley has been on our radar for a number of years and now we get to tick it off.

Reading the string of DNFs I replaced a bison as per the original hint.
Had a chat a a local that had noticed our presence in Alice, explained the game.
A very enjoyable walk and picknick in the valley.
Then the long drive back to the sealed road. Made it without incidents this time too
Checked the cache page again back in Alice and saw that it had just been replaced by another cacher too.
Thanks for the location

Given all the dnfs we replaced the cache during our visit during the Alice mega. The container we had on hand did not quite fit in the original location so this one is a little lower down... Please replace carefully so that it doesn't fall out. Thanks The Rolling Frog
Sadly we have to add our name to the growing of DNF logs. when we first arrived there were two tour groups of muggles right at GZ, so we moved on to look for the next cache. On our return nobody was there so it was the golden opportunity to climb up and have a really good look as well as a feel around. No luck for us either.
This is the 1st of 3 caches we didn't find today. [:(!]
We spent quite some time here at around 3:23:14 PM, but we just couldn't locate your cache, so a DNF from us - - - not stating it's not there... just that we couldn't spot it.

X-Franzi and I visited this area with our 4WD high clearance Landcruiser. It was a real adventure!
Found together with Fwsbg during out visit to the red center..
Unfortunately, I haven't gotten round to log my finds in way over a year. Hence, in order to keep track, I now have to do only short logs. Otherwise I'll never have a chance to be up to date again...

On our holiday in Australia, Azisa and I spent a week in Alice Springs and the area and did some guided tours to Uluru, Kata Tjuta, Palm Valley and other great places.
For today, we had booked a 4x4-Tour to Palm Valley and after the 2km-walk, we had lunch in the shade of the hut. Azisa and I looked around (sitting on the bench) to locate the cache. Our guide was a little irritated about that, but said nothing. When the rest of the group left the place to get back on the bus again, the guide packed the stuff soooooo slowly. But once he left and wet to the bus as well, Azisa grabbed the cache, we looged and put it back within some seconds, then followed our guide. He hadn´t seen anithing
Thank you for the hide and the fun

With the hint and the log of kggy it was a easy find.
Some older people rested in the shadow and so we started the walk first. As we returned "the coast was clear" and the cache quickly logged.
Thanks for it!

We found this cache on our Northern road trip, which was to celebrate my significant birthday. We saw some great places, met some wonderful people and slept through some 3 dog nights. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and finding caches made the trip more memorable – Thank you and ……Joy to the World!!
Spied the cache easily enough. its in plain sight if you know what to look for. Thx The Rolling Frog for the hide.

An interesting 4wd track had us locating this cache today. We walked the last km and enjoyed the great views and watching the 4wd's tackling the last bit of track. A quick find and then a walk along the great board walk. Found with the x-trailers and Mercs1. TFTC
Parked car about km away and walked to gz.
Geo hubby new to 4wd so a little hesitant to tackle road up to cache
Decision was probably good as 2 cars got leaking oil after attempting road
Many managed to get to car park area ok though

Sat here to have lunch with Monarks after completing our walk, and intended to look for this one. However a muggles group in a tourist bus arrived, so we patiently waited for them to leave on their walks, and logged it while they were away. Thanks The Rolling Frog.
