Travelling with iluvtrekking from our home state of WA on a SA caching foray. Staying in Milang a few days to do the Nurragi track caches and to grab others in the area. By noon the rain had set in so after doing 3/4 of the track we all decided to go supermarket shopping in Strathalbyn. Stopped to grab a few more of the series when we got back to Milang but although the rain had abated, the wind increased Thanks for the hide. LNCU
Travelling with richlink on our Annual Caravan Geocaching road trip, using geocaching as our guide. Staying at Milang for a few days exploring the area and picking up a few caches. along the way. Thanks for the cache. LNCU
@1522. Easiest cache to find thus far on the trail. Walking from Landseer Rd to Molang Caravan Park. Staying the weekend. Beautiful day.Cache is in great condition. Thanks for the cache.
On my way down to Milang for a long weekend. It was a last minute decision to come but my plan for day 1 was to finish off the Nurragi trail. I started this trail on foot back in 2012. That day I managed about 12 caches but I decided to return one day with my bike. That day as today. The track is quite overgrown in places so it was tough going in places, but still faster than walking. Today I found all of the caches left on the trail except 2. One was replaced with CO permission. The other was flagged as a DNF as it was getting late in the day and my tiredness may have impacted my ability to spot the cache. All in all it is very satisfying to get the vast majority of this trail completed. Thanks for the cache Hurtle.# # #13977 # #
Decided on a nice day to do the Nurragi Trail. Started from Milang to the Milang/Finnis Road. The rest another day. Nice walk, hard to believe there was a rail line there, very few remnants to find but plenty of geocaches! Thanks for the hides.
TFTC. Decided to give a few of these a go on a spur of the moment decision. Only want to do a couple so lets see how we go cause we know how addictive "the hunt" is. Log signed and returned
frmen1 & I are exploring the area and decided to have a walk before the rain came. Cache in good condition. TFTC
Found with tassie expat while exploring this interesting area. Area covered with oxalis so took us a bit. It's in good condition. Thanks for placing it.
Thank god we did it. 25000 steps, nearly 15 km. My feet are not happy but we did it. Thank you for hiding these for us to find. Found with Dave’s mob
Found it after the Milang event, we ( myself a , Kayche23, northstar76, Superman_22 ) walked the full Nurragi Walk. We saw a lizard, kangaroos hopping through the field, and a ton of ants .
This was a maintenance run for the CO, we replaced some containers, replaced some logbooks, removed a container at a location where there was two, removed an archived and dropped in a new one.
All logs signed as “Dave’s Mob”, aka doineedthis, aka The Brown Family aka “the coloured mint tin by the sea people”

doineedthis, kayche23, Superman_22, northstar76 and myself went on a walk to collect this series after the Milang meet up event nearby. We did the whole 12.5km walk.
We also performed maintenance on the CO's behalf when it was required.
After consideration at the event, we decided to write "Dave's Mob" in all cache log books.
It was a good day with nice weather and meeting some new cachers which is always good, as well as catching up with familiar faces.
Stories were told and laughs were had, as well as 51 caches found for the day. Thanks Dave for getting us all together.
Quick find here today, all is well with this cache.
It felt so good to finish as my feet, legs and back are so so sore... it's insane how sore. We under-estimated the length and how tough it would be. Teamwork and motivation got us through together as a team. This was an awesome day and a really good idea for a cache series. Gets a favourite from me, in recognition of the whole series. Very well done.
Thanks Hurtle for this cache and series, which brings Goldy's total find count to 2719 on the 25th of March 2023.
I have hosted quite a few CITO's in my time, making huge differences thanks to the people who came along!
Whether you're out finding caches or just taking a stroll somewhere, remember to always be CITO-ing to help maintain our parks and reserves!

Thanks for your efforts Hurtle. staying with walking group at Milang overnight and just had to....!
Found out caching the Nurragi Trail with Wollaston on the off-road e-bikes. An easy trail to ride taking 3 hours, just needed to hoick the bikes over some hurdles along the way. We were joined by a million flies, spotted a shedded snake skin, had the company of one other rider, some kangaroos and even helped a sheep get its head out of a ring lock fence, did a bit of maintenance where we could and ended the afternoon with happy hour at the local cafe/gift shop.
Thanks to CO’s for taking time to set out and maintain hides and for showing us your very special part of the world

On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird. I’ll leave the more interesting & detailed log to Mrs Geo (aka: SeasonedBird, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird or Angry Bird) because she writes so much more eloquently than I and usually has much more time to do so while I’m driving. It’s a great day for caching. TFTC Hurtle

Decided to start this walk today and see how far we get. First cache quick to find. Left a pathtag. TFT
Today I needed a multi for the penultimate square of my multi calendar. So I decided to make a day of it and pick up a few Used 2B caches and head to Milang (spell check so wishes I am heading to Milano ) to finish off the rail trail and convert my prior dnfs.
Had a nice brekkie in Unley and then headed for the hills. It was a glorious day and I had a fab day out. Converted 4 prior dnfs into smilies but alas added 2 new ones. Thanks to all the COs.
With no sour sobs about nice quick find. TFTC Hurtling Posties

Set out today with the bike to tackle the Nurragi Walk series. Waited out a couple of short showers early in the day so it was going to be close to dark when I finished.
But that didn't happen, instead a puncture with only 6 to go Not up to fixing them on the trail yet so it was an almost 4K walk back to the car.
All caches attempted were, thanks to good co-ords, quickly found, usually without taking GPSr off bike. I'll be back for those other six sometime.
Thanks to Hurtle for putting out this cache for me to find

Full time nomads exploring SA, currently staying in Strathalbyn. Mr Felix decided to ride his bike along the Nurragi track today, whilst he did that Mrs F tackled a few drivebys nearby.

Found with Shonky Logic on a great day out in an attempt to close in on 100 for the year, poor effort I know. But 2020's been that sort or year. We had a great ride along this trail and found all but one cache.

Caching with Southern Cross Caching along the Nurragi Trail and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trail. Although the trail is flat and more of a walking track than a bike track it wasn't too difficult apart from having to lift the bike over the fence at each end of each section.
This cache was found at 2:23:00 PM and was 51 of 66 finds today.
Apologies for the generic log but it is a powertrail. Thanks Hurtle

Beautiful day to be out caching. Didn't do the trail soon after publishing as I was out of action for 2 to 3 years. First time on a bike in awhile. The coordinates were excellent which made it relatively easy amongst the soarsops. Thanks for the series Hurtle.
Out getting some much needed exercise and fresh air today...
Spent all week working from home and the weather has been a bit dodgy...
Today was lovely to spend walking the Nurragi Walk with friends, not breaking restrictions though...
Finally finished this walk that was started 3 years ago almost to the day, with the_xtrailers...
The container and contents are in good condition...
Took the TB, Boomer, which I discovered had not officially been logged as being in this cache...I will move it on soon...
Wipes & sanitiser were used in the retrieval of this cache...

Thanks Hurtle for Nurragi Walk. I had a blast today riding its length and collecting some others along the way.
I started in Milang and headed north west along the trail. I didn’t start well as the sour sobs were 6 to 12 inches and completely hid the containers. And they were wet at 7.45am, my shoes were pretty wet by the third cache. Soon the sobs were not there and the big reds were easily spotted. I couldn’t find 11.5 but that is more of me than the cache, some were very obscured by the undergrowth. 5.6 was very wet, and will need some attention at some point. I didn’t take any supplies with me as I noted the two (or three) youngens had been through just recently doing some maintenance. Containers on the whole were in great condition, but those fruit containers don’t last in the sun do they. I tried to cover them from light when I found them.
Once I got to the Milang-Finniss road, I headed back to town to get supplies, have morning tea and the collect the car. I then parked at the multi (#8) and rode to #10 and back. I had lunch at the outdoor table, then rode to #1. Great fun, the north western end had some great terrain that challenged the ride a little more. I loved the bridges, very interesting. I tempted fate today, riding the full length on my city commuter, thin slick road tyres and no shock absorption, can feel a few sore points tonight already. Thankfully no flats, lucky I think.
After #1 I took the dirt road to three chimneys, and then back Nurragi road to the car. It was a stroke of luck to encounter two keen and lovely cachers at the chimneys, and together we found the little blighter (meaning I didn’t spot it first). Thanks again Hurtle, I am looking forward to seeing the long run of smileys here after I log them all. The rest of the logs will be pretty simple. FP on this one representing the effort of the entire group.

Finally having a day off from work, I joined @Davidwazza and gridge98 on this trail, which was also my first time on a mountain bike! The weather was great to us until the end of the day although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with a lovely temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day. I definitely don't enjoy power trails, but enjoyed the boys doing most of the finds, hopping on and off the bikes, and very much enjoyed the day (although being a power trail).
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode 10 km towards Milang. At the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. We ended up riding back a little in the Moonlight, a fun day!

Reviewing the weather, @jesswrigley, [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY), and I decided to take our mountain bikes (with [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) bringing his all-purpose all-terrain geocaching bike) to ride this Nurragi Conservation Reserve linear trail. We studied the photos of the trail to ascertain if it would be too muddy to ride with the rain about the place, but it seemed to be ok to ride. I had spoken to the CO previously who mentioned it was an enjoyable power trail to ride, as some websites suggested it was walking only, but in the end, we were really glad that we rode. It seemed to be quite a slow trail if we were just walking, and we even passed a couple of other riders on bikes also halfway. Although there were some grimacing clouds in the sky, it actually turned out to be a perfect day with the right temperature and only a few raindrops towards the end of the day.
I'm not really sure if I enjoy power trails, but on bikes, they are awesome. It gets you outside out and about, and allows the trail to be more interesting. Most of the geocaches were found reasonably quickly with thanks to good coordinates, and we didn't have any DNFs for the day. Most in good condition, although there were a few that were starting to show their age with cracking due to the UV, like the old fruit containers. However, they were probably still ok for another 1-2 years before requiring to replace. I did come with some backup containers and logbooks anyway, but didn't need to use them other than a few plastic bag replacements.
We started at Marker #1 at the old Sandergrove School, and then rode progressively through approximately 10 km once we neared Milang at the Finniss-Milang Road, we decided to make a shortcut to the town to have lunch at the bakery before it closed. We then made a small loop of the town collecting those caches, seeing the old train station, and then following the old railway tracks as it returned us back to the Nurragi railway trail. [@gridge98](http://coord.info/PRGKDMY) and I then accelerated our cache collection as time marched on, and had to ride back along the trail back to the car. It took a little more time than what we had planned, and the last few kilometres were done in the dwindling light and dark, which added another adventurous element to the day. Luckily some moonlight allowed us to see a few metres ahead of us, and no trees or branches were harmed (nor us) during that time. Thanks Hurtle for the series, and all in great condition. Cheers!

A last minute plan last night, and very weather dependent, a plan to head down and complete the Nurragi Walk series with @Davidwazza and Jesswrigley. Turned out to be a lovely day and a perfect set up to ride the bikes along the trail. Majority of the caches are in good condition and all the co ords were perfect and within 2m.
Thanks Hurtle for the series, an enjoyable one.

After a surprise Tuesday Trekking this week for some members of the Puzzled Puzzlers as some could only make Tuesday, the usual Wednesday walkabout really was to be a walkabout. [P] We were going to tackle the entire Nurragi Walk from Sandergrove to Milang in one hit. I was joined today by Anymules, Sushilord and Blackadders. Cars either end meant it was only a one way walk!
Woo hoo, the final cache. Another quick find. Yippee. Now where did we park the car, oh yeah, way up the street. Another three caches to visit before we get there. [B)] Thanks for a great walk.

Another day of the usual Puzzled Puzzlers group outing. This time with a Mule, Starfish and A fish Lord.
The Plan, leave one car at the end of the series then start at the beginning.
Now recovering from the sore leg and calf muscles that are not used to walking that far. No nasties seen along the way and surprisingly no major injuries.
All caches were found in good order except where mentioned in logs from other members of the team.
Thanks for the series Hurtle.
