I’ve previously been here and made this find. However, I never logged the cache. I have a personal note with the date I found it and what it was and where it was, and I can confirm after returning today, it is not in play, can’t find it at GZ or in any nearby vicinity where it was potentially placed, I strongly believe it’s gone missing
Came back this time with a previous finder. It was confirmed that the cache is no longer in the spot where he found it.
No luck today. The water has been high at GZ. Hope its still there, but we couldn't find it.
Travelling through Yass on our way to Canberra for a long weekend, decided to stroll around the river, lots of mugglers about enjoying the sunny weather, quick find, TFTC team.wallace
Found with Crafty Dusty and the geopooch Pippa on our way home to Sydney from Melbourne. Was sitting in the open so we moved it to where it probably was. TFTC!
When I do for walls I like to look for what I call little treasures, and I don't mean nano caches. Between my last find and this one I found:
- A big eucalypt snapped near its base and toppled over into 2 different types of pine. It must have happened recently because the leaves/ needle's are still nice and green.
- lots of bug-made fairy leaves
- and a laced lichen or is it a frilled fungi.

A quick stop in Yass for fuel, a cup of tea and a couple of caches while driving to Wagga. Nice spot, but a bit cold for swimming today.
Nice view of river, tricky took us a while then I found it (better than geodad nationalsteel) tftc
I thought that with the recent floods this one might be gone but all is good here.

An early morning excursion to Yass to top up my find numbers for the day. Cache soon found after waiting for muggles to pass. A DNF avenged. A pleasant stroll. TFTC.

In the area completing an AL, this was a straightforward find with good concealment in a likely place at GZ. Thanks team.wallace.
Great location. Scary to see how high the debris level is - wow. But the cache is still in good condition at this height. TFTC.
nice hiding place

Found on a caching expedition out to Yass with sebass19: from 9:30am to 7pm, 51 caches! Had a pleasant stroll to this cache from the nearby exercise equipment. We were a bit concerned about encountering snakes at this cache and about the cache being underneath debris, but we didn't end up having to worry about either: an almost immediate and easy find at GZ. Had to take off my shirt and use it to unscrew the container, but it was all good fun! TFTC team.wallace!
I had very little hope of finding this cache, I met Sui here to have a go at this cache and "River Bird" after the flood to see if it had an impact, two sets of eyes is better than one!
Tikva had recently DNF'd which wasn't a good sign, but we persisted anyway. The area was completely smashed, lots of debris all through the branches of the trees, the ground stripped to dirt etc. But the cache somehow survived! Although it was hard to spot amongst it all!
Thanks

Woot!
The hint really helped with this one. I’m so impressed this guy survived! Right inline with the recent water level!

A morning's caching mission in Yass, to top up my find numbers for the day. No sign of the cache - perhaps washed away in the recent floods?

Back again for another search after being unsuccessful last November. This time all the leaves in the trees had fallen, so we could spot the cache nearly straight away - well c-pprass could Co-ords were spot on as well which really helped.
We still couldn't see the rocks mentioned, but c-pprass said look at those rocks about 200 metres up stream. Are they the rocks mentioned?
Thanks team.wallace

Staying in Yass for a few days and finding some of the many caches here and about. Spent sometime searching with no result except for the black berry scratches. Our second DNF for this one.

Tankengine and I had two important caches to deal with today. TE had offered to help me replace a cache I dropped down a pipe on the way here and he had a mutli in Yass to do so he could clear the town out once and for all - well until the next cache is published here anyway.
This cache: We parked at the end of the path and walked the short distance to GZ. Thankfully it wasn't far as I was starting to get rather hot outside. A nice quick find and it too me a while to work out the cache name. It wasn't until I saw it on a sign that I realised what Flat Rock is. Tftc team.wallace!!!!

Why do we have so much trouble finding caches in this town! First cache for the day and it was a lovely area to saunter down to; saying g'day to the muggle walkers as they went by, but then it all turned pear shaped
Looked and looked all around the trees for a hanging container - even looked on the ground as in a previous log it was found on the ground. Didn't want to go down to the next level as the T rating was a mere 1.5 - and that down there was not a T of 1.5

Couldn't see a flat rock. GPS going crazy but with persistence found this sneaky one. TFTC
#309 Here for the Murrumbateman Field Days, afternoon walk. Hint is a bit, well,...there's trees everywhere. TFTC
As we have mentioned before, these kinds of caches are rather a nemesis of ours (well, maybe after magnetic nanos on big pieces of machinery!), but this one was found without too much trouble, as it was lying in the ground. Placed it back slightly closer to where we thought might be intended - suspended off the ground. TFTC
Out for a Saturday driving lesson and caching session. Yass is our point of call for today. Found this cache easily. TFTC
Found by Aussie Train Driver 14/05/2019, find number 1438.
The water certainly didn't look inviting this evening, but the ducks seemed to be enjoying it. I spotted this one in plain sight from the path, so after signing the log I returned it to the same spot but attempted to conceal it a bit better - a bit hard in Autumn when all the leaves are dropping off the tree! TFTC.

After mornings caching, we needed some supplies so after buying what we needed a sudden urge to cache came over us, so we walked around picking up a few.

Had a couple of days in Yass for an Emergency Management course so whenever there was some free time I headed out to grab some of the local caches.
So many possibilities in the fading light but eventually I found it.
Thanks to the CO's for placing the caches I found.

We really weren't sure if we were on the correct side based on the GPSr map, but it turned out we were! Lots of walkers about today, and a lovely morning for a walk. Cache # 2872.
After spending the night in Yass I searched for a few caches there before heading to the Mega site in Queanbeyan I was both pleasantly surprised to see so many muggles out on this trail and somewhat frustrated by their almost constant coming and going. A sneaky little cache Thanks team-wallace
Another great day out with woolwood9 hunting containers today.

With GreyHams we set off at a respectable but still early enough time with the plan to cache Yass for the day. We both had a number of caches we both needed along the way so made a few detours, caching our way through the still not hot morning.
Between us both we had a number to collect as we drove towards Yass, a few newly published in areas previously cached, park and grabs and a few walks. A very relaxed and enjoyable day, avenged a DNF from way back and added a few more!
The heat in the late afternoon kicked it up a notch but managed a productive day and had fun doing it! Feeling the heat and the long day it was time to head back towards Canberra with a few more caches on the way back. Had just pulled into the driveway when a notification of a new cache came in, perfect timing, tiredness forgotten and it was back out the drive and off to chase down a new cache... funny, but where did that new energy came from!?
Thanks for the cache and adding to the days adventures.
Found ok, nice new log and all in good condition.

A much nicer day after a break in the run of hot days, and much better for caching so we made a trip out to Yass to clear a few around the town and along the highway. This was a pleasant short walk along the river. There appears to have been a lot of rain fairly recently, with debris washed across the path and evidence where the river came up. That's all hard to believe after the dry spell and heat we've had lately. Anyway, we felt we were in for a long search until Mr Winglen suggested somewhere to look, and there it was! This is another cache that needs a new logsheet as it has been jammed in while wet and some of it came apart in shreds. Thanks team.wallace.
A caching trip via the back roads to Yass and surrounds. Another DNF for me three years ago however quick find to-day and with 3 years of extra experience. I did not sign the log as it is in very poor condition. TFTC.
Nice, took me a while as I wasn't getting much reception. The log resembled paper machete. TFTC
#3327 Unlike the previous cache we spotted this one instantly! Had a lot of trouble extracting the ratty tatty dampish logsheet, probably needs some attention. Not quite warm enough for a dip today. Thanks again team.wallace.
