Little rebel retrieved this one
Liked the view from here! a little muddy in places as we came down from the top, and a couple of steps too. A pretty walk, with the bonus of seeeing the dam.
Thanks switchy for the hide, and bringing us here. Oh and the cache is cool too!

Luckily we had 2 skinny individuals with us to make the retrieval but both were a little hesitant when they saw the cache. The cache is coming apart and has nearly separated so may want to fix at some stage. TFTC.
It took me some time before I finally spotted the elusive cache. I have the dirty clothes to prove it. TFTC.
My dog I`ve left in Europe is called Diesel as well. All good at GZ. Great views. TFTC
Dear Cache Owners,
I am a German guy who stays in New Zealand for eight months.
My English is not perfect, so please don't wonder if my log entries sound a bit strange. Thanks!
----------
The weather was perfect today so I decided spontaneously to mske a big hikein the Hunua area. I could find every Cache, which I was looking for and I enjoyed the hiking tracks, the weather and the nice view.
Happy, that it didn't rain the last days, so I kept nearly dry. Nice hide and beautiful view!
Thanks for hiding!

Out and about to find some caches for the planetary pursuit souvenir challenge. Found together with Piratenschatzsucher! and Pyphant. Nice one. We got the creeps. TFTC
Nice hike in the Hunua Ranges on a beautiful day with some caching on the way. This one is really worth searching. TFTC
Strolling around on Easter Monday and collecting a few caches around this area. Eeeew, Yuck, seriouly? That's gross, eh great! It's always nice to get a touch of the jitters...The children were delighted. TFTC
Very fun cache. You definitely get muddy finding this cache if it has been raining! Thanks
Cache number 3365. Up over the Bombays chasing a nearby FTF so stopped here on the way up. I am of the rounder figure so squeezed as far as I could. Could have gone further but with the aid of my tramping stick I was easily able to hook the cache out. As I still had room I signed it there. Returning it to its place went well also. Pleased to get the smiley with easy. As I left the area I picked up a stick and threw it for Diesel. Thank you for the cache.
Caching as Team Booty today with liketips and TheMexican as we all made recent purchases that we were testing out here today.
Followed the instructions and was happy it wasn't too grubby underfoot (even though it was liketips doing the dirty work) and it wasn't too long before the cache was in hand.
Another cool spot - TFTC

Tftc. Out with Pricefamily6 today on a trek to the hunua's. Had to use a bit of stealth here to replace the cache as some muggles decided to admire the view of the dam from the lookout. A bit of care had to be taken retuning the cache as it needs a bit of glue to re-afix scarey object more securely as it's down to being held on by a quarter of it's original adhesive. Fav point awarded for the creativity
Out today for some tramping to get ready for our summer great walk on the south's island. Enjoyed the view from GZ. TFTC
Found this one pretty quickly but extraction was a little more difficult. Mr gernita was clever using a hooking stick and we soon had it for signing. Returned and continued on our way.
This was hard to retrieve but quickly spotted. Used natural tools lying around to make the find. Gorgeous view. TFTC
As the smallest of our group, I had the honour of making the find. Cute container. TFTC.
Out for a day hiking/caching doing the Wairoa and Suspension Bridge loops. This was my fourth cache of the day and I knew I'd be getting dirty for this one I had no idea what I was looking for and then spotted it... ha ha love it! It needed a bit of maintenance as the log was soaking and the zip lock bag ripped. So I dried it all out and replaced the bag before replacing. I was filthy but it was worth it, TFTC!
I looked from the outside, and couldn't see anything. I looked in the surrounding area, and couldn't find anything. I finally gave in and crawled (slithered) my way in and quickly saw the cache. Was happy I'd brought my pen so didn't have to make the journey twice! Then quickly scurried away as I could hear some voices coming.
I had no idea what to expect from the cache description but as soon as I arrived at this fantastic spot it was fairly clear where it was. The challenge was fitting my larger frame in the space to retrieve it. Luckily my walking pole proved an able companion and after a squeeze amongst the creepy crawlies the very cool container was soon in hand. Then I got out, realised I left my torch there, and went back in! Clever hide, nice description, and a place well worth visiting, TFTC
Out for a walk and maintence check. All good. just a caution for anyone bringing there four legged companions out here at the moment as they have just done a 1080 drop. Take care.

Visiting my sister (jazzmo) who is a local. I live in Melbourne so we are trying to tick off as many of these caches as possible before I head home on the weekend.
I wasn't keen on being the one to retrieve this cache so we sent the fearless nephew in with the iTorch and he emerged with the goods. Kids are really useful sometimes! I signed the log and sent him back to replace the cache while I took in the beautiful view. Thanks for bringing us here

Well the hubby is deathly afraid of spiders so it was up to me to get down on my hands and knees... what a nasty spot (but good fun - when we weren't getting dive bombed by the resident magpie!) Tftc!
This is such a cool cache ! Never seen anything like it !
I did the spotting , and Ric very kindly did the retrieving ! Definitely a favourite !
Thanks switchy , and RIP Diesel ,,,, a lovely dog walking track !

More pest eradication needed in the area . A nasty nasty cache!!!. We drew straws to see who would do the job. I had the longest but still had do the honours. Unfair !!! .tftc.
Cache container slightly modified to hold a larger log sheet. Extraction should now be no problem.

Temp disabled while I do a mod on the cache container. Will be back up running in 2-3 weeks
After finding the CO's other nearby cache I headed out on my walk in the bush. I approach from the Dam end of things. Once at GZ a look at the cache page and I realised what I needed to do. Finding the cache was easy. Retrieval was rather more difficult for me. I was in a small amount of danger of getting stuck. And once the cache was retrieved I had to try a variety of tools to retrieve the log. Again, moisture has expanded the log sheet making it difficult to extract. LOg sheet is rather munted. Did I mention the crawling in mud bit? Cause, yeah, not as fun as it sounds at this time of year. NIce views from the lookout were a plus here, I will admit. Cheers for the hide!
Biked up to the dam, then a short walk to the cache. Last time we were through here we had commented that this spot should have a cache, and now it does. Got very messy retrieving the cache and it will probably get worse over the next few months. Very hard to get the log out as well as it is a little damp and it falls to bits when you grab it.

Have got a new type of log sheet for this. Will have it installed in the next couple of weeks.
It's a bit icky retrieving this one after the rain of the last few days! Great container. Log a bit wet and may have expanded making it a tight fit! Munted the edges a bit with the tweezers trying to extract it sorry!! If you want it replaced with a plastic log I am up there a bit. Tftc.
Nice hide, camo and placement, joint ftf with tab20, details to follow
Edit: dislodged from its hiding place with a stick just in case it was not what I was looking for, great camo sure to give people pause. Nice find for my 200th cache.

Such a cool cache. Wrapt to share first to find, but thankful for a skinny fellow cacher. Had to wait for two lots of walkers to move on. Then, is it, maybe, yes, cache is in hand. Tweezers definitely needed. A favorite for me.
