Stopped by for maintenance check.Replaced container, and added a baggie.Nearly 10 years old, with original logbook still.Wow, the building is fast decaying...Even the pepper tree is looking ragged!
An interesting ruin here. Unusual in that the walls are crumbling but the roof is still often - usually the walls remain sturdy until the roof is lost and then they lose their integrity. TFTC!
Found it! Made an early start today, with the aim of making a dent in the TdF trail and maybe branching off to do the TdU trail. This one was along the way, took a few photos of the ruin. TFTC!
Something special or unusual goes here:Quickly found the cache. The lost heritage has lost a little more heritage since the cache was placed and not looking so good now. The Generic Bit:Another Tuesday Trek with just me and Mrs. Sewer Rats. I had itch to retrace last Tuesday's Trek up through Morgan to Waikerie for lunch, cruise back via the Sturt Highway and clear out a few more caches. That itch just needed to be scratched. We made it to Morgan for a late lunch and made it to Waikerie around dinner time and back to the Rat's nest as the sun set. A few more laughs, a lot more caches and yet there are still that require yet another trek!**SAs Leap Year Event GCA1DNA - keep the date free - 29th February 2024. - BOING*****Thanks Hurtle for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. *** Logs prepared and published through GSAK.
Its been a while since weve teamed up, but the 3 Stooges (weredunn4, WayneAPN, Cheezel1961) are back at it again Today we are targeting the Tour de France (TdF) series plus any other interesting caches we might cross paths with.Cache quickly found and stampedTFTC
Tackling the TDF series with Cheezel and Wayne APN. A great day out. Cache found and log stamped.
It's been a while since our last get together to spend a day caching with Weredunn4 and Cheezel1961. With all the stuff occurring in each of our daily lives and work etc, the stars seem to align today for an outing out together, targeting the TDF series. Plus a few in easy range, hey were are out this way, may as well do them. Plus the usual target of interesting, unique D/T grids as well as high T caches. Thanks for this one, an easy find.TFTC SL
Left early in the rain, with the intention to do TdF series on the stock route road. It drizzle all the way and most of the morning periodically, until the sunshine came in the afternoon. Caches were generally in good condition with a percentage having a broken lid, which I didn’t have any replacement ones. TFTC
Found today while working towards the Solstice souvenir.

Found during a caching circuit from Truro, Bower, Australia Plains and Eudunda with Team Waldron for the day. Toured the backroads to find many out-of-the-way caches and completed the TdU 1999-2022 series along the way. Another fine old residence of yesteryear that needs some TLC. Thanks for the cache Hurtle!
Another cache found with richlink on our 2022 South Australian Adventure.
It was a freezing morning in the Barossa but the sun is shining and the day is warming up nicely, perfect for caching. TFTC.

We enjoyed a day caching from Eudunda towards Sutherland, Bowen and some more of the TDU trail we hadn’t done.
Then followed a circuit back via Australia Plains to Eudunda.

Out and about our beautiful country side. Found with superman_22 and Giselle _12 Containers is broken.
Missed logging this one for yesterday.
Out doing the TdF series, and this one was found along the way.
Love these old buildings, they would hold many stories.
We stamped the log as 'The Mob' to save space and time.
'The Mob' this time included:- GoodLook, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop & ourselves.
Many thanks for placing this series, Hurtle, for us and others to find.

Now back in SA to tackle the On Your Bike series while away on a week long geo holiday. Travelling with GoodLook to Victoria from SA and back again. We Joined forces with other teams to do the Paddle Steamer Series, Turtle Series and any other caches we had time for.
Many logs were stamped "The Mob" while we cached as a group and at times we stamped individually.
Thanks for placing this cache for us to find while touring around.

A plan was hatched with Rapidlywild to attack some of the caching trails down in VIC/SA.
With the boarders slowly staying open we thought Easter might be a safe time to try since the QLD boarder was still too fragile to attempt going to the MEGA and it also looked like it could be rather wet there.
The group grew from two to six quickly after having a chat to GoodLook about our plans.
Our team “The Mob” now consisted of GoodLook, LíB, Rapidlywild, The Drovers and ourselves and feathertop joined us on day 4. This team ended up being very productive and some new friendships were made. Always a bonus in my book.
All logs were stamped with “The Mob” to save space and time.
Day 6 After finishing the On Your Bike and Around the World in 81, Ode to JLWE and Riddlers Roonka Rampage and TdU we decided to see if we could tick TdF as well.
While doing the TdF trail this one popped up. Just had to find it as well. No issues here.
Thanks for the hide Hurtle and thanks for the fun "The Mob"

For the first time in a long time, it was road trip time. With COVID-19 keeping everyone at home for so long, the borders were finally opening and the feet were itchy for a decent caching trip. Plans were made with FurfacesLL to do a 10 day road trip across to Mildura and Loxton to do a heap of caching and we were excited. Across the 10 days we racked up over 4,300km in driving, multiple hotels/motels, brought home enough red dust to create our own sand pit in the back yard and collected over 1800 finds between us. It was a massive trip and lots of fun was had.
We teamed up with GoodLook, FeatherTop, The Drovers and LiB and signed most logs as "The Mob". There were a few caches which were signed as individual team names as some teams had already completed said caches, those will be noted individually.
Our target caches were the Turtle Series, the Paddle Steamer Series and the On Ya Bike wherigo Series, heaps of other caches were also collected along the way but our primary target caches were completed which made us all very happy and very tired geocachers.
Onto day 6 and back out onto the On Your Bike series we go to finish it off. Once we had finished that, we made our way to some Around the World multis, Riddlers Roonka/Ode to JLWE Series, the TdU series and even managed to do the TdF series! It was a big day. We picked up a few caches along the way, travelling along the way was GoodLook, The Drovers, LiB, FurfacesLL, FeatherTop and myself.
Picked this one up whilst doing the TdF series, no issues with the hide, stamped and replaced as found.
Thanks for the hides Hurtle And thanks to "The Mob" for a trip to remember [^].

Most of the caches are stamped as The Mob (consisting of The Drovers, LíB, FurfacesLL, Rapidlywild, feathertop and myself), however a handful contain our own caching names or initials.
The series that we tackled during this trip included The Paddle Steamer, The Turtle, On Your Bike, The TdU, The TdF and some Roonka puzzles put out for a June Long Weekend some time ago. Plus many random caches that we passed.
2020 was not a great year, and the beginnings of 2021 have also been tricky - so when it looked like the various borders would be open again (without quarantine restrictions), a trip was spontaneously planned and I was able to pull together a number of my caching friends who hadn't cached together before to form "The Mob".
LíB and I started in SA, drove to Victoria and ended our trip in SA; FurfacesLL and Rapidlywild came from Canberra and The Drovers began their journey from NSW; and then a few days later, feathertop from Victoria, joined us to complete the On Your Bike Series and other caches in SA.
We filled our days with piling in cars, hard core caching, Adventure Labs, crazy funny CB radio chatter, some laughter, some tense moments (OMG some of the ladder and tree climbs on this trip were crazy!), lots of lovely meals and even live music from a band called "Kung Fu Jesus" - nope, that is no joke.
We had hot weather each day (well into 30s), so I am thrilled that I now own a car fridge to keep the drinks icy cold (loving them at about 1 degree celcius).
A sincere thanks to Hurtle for placing this cache.

With a packed lunch we set off for some of the out of the way mid north caches, into the afternoon now and we were enjoying the mild conditions and dusty back roads and soon arrived at another great example of our historic links to our pioneering days, cache is a little fragile left so the moisture cannot get in.

While doing the TdF series with ilook4geo this one was slotted in as well. The cache was easy enough to find, inside was a bit messy due to a leaking pen, but both initials were still added to the log. Thanks to Hurtle for placing tis cache.
Out for a cache with gridge98. My first power trail on my 3rd day living in the area. Stopped at this one along the way Thanks for the interesting history

Hi there Hurtle.
We found your cache **"Lost Heritage #35 - Brownlow"** at 10:21:00 AM today. (This makes our find count 22248).
Our primary aim for the day was to finish off the "TDF" series. Exactly 7 years ago we were celebrating Skippy's birthday at Roonka, and started our first "power trail" from the other end. We abandoned our quest about half way as we thought it was a boring thing to do, but we have since attempted many other "power trails". - We also had to find this one. As it's not part of the series it deserves a finely crafted log, not one of the crappy cut-n-paste ones that usually are associated with power trails.
We found 43 caches today & DNF'd 1. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.
PS: Following on from recent comments received; our log or stamp is not necessarily placed in the last spot in the book or sheet. If we find a blank spot when we open the log - that is where it goes.

I've replaced the container as the other one is stuffed and I've put it on the roadside of the shrub as the dirt bike riders can easily see it otherwise. Tftc
Not sure if this has been fixed/replaced. Will check or get it checked soon.
In meantime if still needs fixing, can the next finder help please, even if only to tape up the holes as a temp fix.

Found this cache as we were driving the TdeF Trail grabbing as many caches as possible in the hope that I might reach my next milestone in time to achieve the great looking souvenir at the Event over Easter in Alice Springs. Pity the building doesn't look anything like the photo now. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for us to find. Stamped log.
Family drive today to get a local series.
We had a wonderful time, with a picnic lunch on the side of the road, finishing with a picnic dinner by the river.
We saw a fox, kangaroos, kookaburras, a wombat, sheep, lizards, rabbits and a bull which was right near a cache eeekkkk.
Ran into a wee issue with a tree that had fallen across the road blocking it completely, so please be cautious anyone driving this road, especially at night.
Something fantastic about watching a 10 year old, a 16 year old and a 40 year old jump from the car and race for the cache, putting child lock on, pushing, shoving and being total idiots, but only 2 sore ankles by the younger ones.
It was a great day out Thankyou

So what else do you do on a 40 degree day but go geocaching [?]
Of course, Brodie whined and got all excited at going for a drive so we had to let him come too [^]
After going halfway across town to get muggle partner some computer parts we then headed up to a spot very close to where Lukas96zig had recently been staying. Poor Lukas would be extremely disappointed to know that he missed out on 2 very close FTFs by less than a week!
By the time we returned home about 11.30pm, we'd seen some amazing views, some great mallee scenery and some Barossa Valley scenery as well as having a good feed at Clare prior to the homeward trip We'd also seen a Shingleback lizard draped over a cache, seen kangaroos, masses of tiny birds, rabbits and even a stray sheep in the middle of the road in the darkness.
The day's total was 9 finds (which included 2 FTFs) and 2 DNFs

Not far from my place in Dutton is the old Stock Route, So I gave it a try and it resulted in 64 caches. Thanks for placing this series and I'll be back for the rest.

Today was day eight of the ahomburg and sharkiefan 2015 road trip to South Australia. This was a massive driving day and we would be on the road for around 12 hours and a bonus at the ens is we did NOT want to kill each other. We were headed towards Mildura, the final night of our holiday. Our aim was to pick up whatever caches we came across along the way as well as trying to complete the Tour De France Series. It turns out stopping for so many caches really eats up your day.
