Logs
I forgot to bring a pen, so I signed with a photo instead, and its the first cache Ive found in NZ! It took a while, but it was easy to find by the coordinates in the previous comment. TFTC!
Going to have to come back when don't have the dog. Spent a long time foraging
Out for another team SEAC impromptu caching adventure to clean a few up in Devonport with hemaludy, liverkiwi and keylev. TFTC. Logged as team SEAC to save space.
Headed out with a few of the team SEAC today to check out the new Kauri Treetops Walk (and of course some caching along the way!). We initially tried this when we first parked up but couldn't find it, logs and other coordinates made things confusing so we headed to the trail to show the students what caching is about and decided to return on the way back to the car. Would definitely suggest using the coordinates shown in the logs from others as the original ones are wrong. Also it pointed us to the left side of the track (if coming from Woodside Ave) but it was eventually found on the right hand side. Thanks for the cache.
As is usual with Team SEAC caching expeditions, a loose plan was made to walk the new treetop walkway and grab a few caches in the area, seeing how the day takes us. Today we had NurseDr, Keylev, LiverKiwi, Laval., and a few international students who have now learnt what geocaching is all about. Logged as SEAC to save space. We parked up near here and walked in with the hope of a quick find to start our day, however this was not the case. We read previous logs, and extended our search area, but had no luck. After exploring the new treetop boardwalk nearby and finding a few more caches, we returned here for another search before continuing on with our day. This time it did not take long for Mr Liverkiwi to call out "found it", in a location we had not searched on our initial visit, but in a spot taht exactly matched the hint - although maybe did not matched the coordinates.
Out with some members of Team SEAC today on a lovely sunny Sunday. Our main objective was to head to the Kauri Tree-top Walk and see what that was like. Of course, there just had to be some caching done along the way.We all met as near as we could to GZ for this cache and walked towards it. When we reached GZ, we started searching around but with no luck in finding the elusive cache. Reading some of the logs, we discovered that the co-ordinates of the cache were not accurate and that should be looking further down the tack. We headed on down and started looking again, but still with nothing to show for it. So, we decided to go ahead a continue the trail and come back to this cache later.Once back, we didn't bother going to the original co-ordinates, but instead went to one of the updated co-ordinates. Looking around a bit, we spotted something that might be of interest but didn't think it me the criteria of the hint. While others searched elsewhere, Mr. Kiwi decided to inspect this object. A little bit of feeling around and soon the cache container was in had. A nice little hide.TFTC
Yup as other people mentioned it is NOT at the posted coordinates and further down the path. TFTC. #68
Hint is on point, but the coordinates are not! These are posted below - S36 48.320 E174 44.510Cache is watertight and in quite a fun spot.
Not quite where I was expecting but found it after reading comments. Forgot my pen so have a photo of log.
had to visit very near this cache for work.so after correcting co.ords we had no issues finding this cache.TFTC
With Gap (of Fap and Gap) A busy day of work and caching.I was encouraged to correct the coords, and pleased that I did this before our visit. Gaps work brought us into the neighbourhood, and it was a short stroll to the trail. We were unsure if this was bush or trackside. Our corrected coords soon put things right and the natural camouflage were obvious markers. Thanks MandyHerrick. TFTC.
Not sure if its off the beaten path or not. It was a bit of a long search for my four year old and I in the rain so we quit early!
Coordinates are definitely off. It is about 50m further down the track. Once you've gone this far it's a quick search and find
First time caching in years. Only found it thanks to the updated coordinates from Flossieteacake below
S36 48.320 E174 44.510
S36 48.320 E174 44.510
And my lucky streak runs out until I find out how to use the compass on my phone. Apparently it’s easy enough to find but my battery was running low and I was thirsty. Back soon!
A lovely day out for a stroll in the reserve grabbing a few caches. I found this one thanks to the previous log, as without it I would have been way off.
Upon arriving at GZ I quickly spotted the cache, signed the log and replaced the cache. I added a tiny amount of camo, just so it was slightly less visible and then headed off to the next cache. #1287

We'll where do I start with this one? Not at the posted coordinates. As per a log from Oct 2018 use S36 48.320 E174 44.510 which is about 40m further down the track. The cache is in a ponga on the left hand side, close to the track if you are going from Woodside Rd.
I don't normally post such spoilers but I am in agreement with most of the other logs here, the CO has not and never has had a clue, has hidden 2 caches (1 was archived for similar reasons to the spoilers logged here) but never found a single one, and the coordinates are so far out it's almost impossible.

Eventually found it with the help of the scrumptious Zoey Law. Thank you very much for new coordinates, wouldn’t have got it without. Needs updating this one. LLC. TFTC.
Spotted this one from the path after reading a few previous comments. Coordinates 50m off!!! TFTC
This is bizarre.... came here today with Nette1234....
I was a previous finder 6 years ago.
It now 40m out...and knee high in a short punga with no climbers.
The CO had no finds when she put this out!
And still has none.

Nice simple camo but as others said, use the coords in the logs. No need to venture off the track for this one.
I'm sorry whoever's did this but can you either remove the cache or just update the co coordinates. The posts below do help but still no clue. Its frustrating when you don't even know where your supposed to look. Anyone new coming to this, don't even bother! Please fix. Love the Geocaching community
Thanks, read the other comments because the clues were a bit off. Found with the help of co-ordinates and not as high up as description says.
Nice find with woolwood9 today.
We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.
Stamped logs as tm/ww NZ which may just look like a black smudge on plastic logs!
TFTC
Pleased to find it this time with the co-ords from other logs.

After searching at the GZ, we found nothing. Entering the new co-ords from previous posts, we made our way to the new GZ. 8yo son found the cache quickly. Going back through all the posts, it seems to be inaccurate from first being created. The clues don't mean anything, read other posts.
I put in the new coordinates but couldn't find. Do the hints of punga and 1.5 m high still apply?
Trying to collect some caches today to get to the end of the mystery at the museum challenge but didn’t get off to a good start.Luckily after reading a previous log we managed to put in some new co ordinates which led us to find this one.
Decided to call back again here today, with a new cache in hand, to place as per the co-ords and hint of other finders. Wanted to get rid of the blue face off the map. SL. TFTC.
This mornings mission was to pop out quickly find at least a cache for today and return home to the pressing chores here. Well this was a nightmare of a morning, as this was the 2nd of 3 DNF's in a row and 2.5 hours later I returned home finally with the needed find. My son laughed at the state of me when I got home. Anyway this one, I spent quite a bit of time hunting around, couldn't find the hint. Reluctantly had to give up.
Found at second attempt using previous messages, especially S36 48.320 E174 44.510. Thanks!!
Started out at 3.30 in the morning (all good plans start when it's dark!) The drive north was fantastic, virtually no traffic all the way through Auckland to the North Shore and in the company of Cats & Dragon's. We found our first cache at 4.30am and cached hard out untill lunch time. The weather held out for us, with the occasional lite drizzle. A fantastic day, over 60 finds a few DNF and a big hole put in the area.
Thanks to all the CO's who placed their cache for us to find and thanks for the great day!

Today was a chance to head out in the company of McCutchen Cache Clan for a little bit of a hit out around Takapuna and Northcote/Highbury areas. So trying to make the most of the day (and in that what I really mean is to avoid both people and traffic as much as possible. We headed up early and were actually caching just before 5am and were all over by noon so that we could get home to our families.
All Logs signed as "MCD" to conserve logbook space
Having set myself a couple of personal caching goal for the year (or at least whats left of it) I thought I had better crack into it and start collecting so that hopefully the last 6 months of the years is far more productive than the first 6 months.
All in all a great morning was had and we managed to stay dry. Not too many DNF's, a couple of unattempted's as not able to get to them and plenty of founds. A few of the gully's that we traversed were very muddy and so was suitably grateful for the decision to bring the tramping boots to keep the feet dry.
Great collection of caches and some very clever camouflage by the usual suspects. So all in all 65 successful finds today with what the time allowed. I apologize for the rather generic logs but it was a bit of a rushed trip so things started to blur into each other.
Like others, made use of the corrected coordinates to quickly locate the cache
Thanks to all the CO's for their contributions, thanks for the cache.

Took the long way in here, starting from Lake Rd. All good though, needed the exercise then arriving at the cache, I could see where it most likely would be hidden and sure enough... cheers for the cache.
With no luck with the Co-ords or the hint we looked through previous logs for clues. After plugging in the below it was found easy.
We used Merlot58 (27.12.16) co-ords to find today. S36 48.320 E174 44.510.

Another dot day, so this was the closest to home that I haven't found yet. Followed the coords from merlot58, and quickly spotted something really close to the track that fitted some of the logs. Nice hide, no need for bush crashing here, TFTC

A quick look at the previous logs made the search easier. Found the cache in the knee high punga stump near a disappearing log. Tftc.

Nothing to do so driving around looking for chache with harisree. Took a little time to find as it was a little further than expected

Found this with the updated information left in the logs. Further down the track than the coordinates say.
Cute wee hiding place but read previous comments for updated location, really helpful.
Found this one thanks to the information in the logs - particularly the updated coordinates. Mrs Tuolei asked for an explanation of the description and I pointed out the hide to explain so a very quick find as it turns out. Thanks for the cache.
Snaged tgis one with tge hints provided by other cachers also plenty of mozies around atm
Met up today with yorkshirekiwi83 and KirsTim to gather a handful of caches in the area. All the recent rainfall made most of the areas quite muddy and slippy, but thankfully we all managed to stay mostly clean except around the feet.
Found this using some coordinates that were posted in the logs, in a ponga much shorter than mentioend in the hint. Thanks for the hide.

KirsTim, Vamber and I had plans to pick up some caches today, with the recent rain it made a lot of the tracks somewhat boggy and slippy, but we survived the day with everyone remaining upright and no mud above the laces, fabulous effort. With hte new coords in hand it was pretty close and a nice quick find. TFTC
Out with Yorkshirekiwi83 & Vamber today to grab a few caches on the shore. We signed the log as KKKTS. We searched briefly until we read a previous log with the new coordinates. Coordinates and hint are off but we found at the new coords. Thanks
Good hiding spot though coordinates are buggered. Need updating. About 20m down the path than the GPS says
Found it with updated coordinates but only after banging around in the bush for 15 mins in the wrong location xD
Dropped by to visit this one on my way home from work. Using merlot58's coordinates, it was a quick find - ponga considerably shorter than advertised too! Thanks!
Decided to come out and explore the nearby park with merlot58 and Bertie Blowfish, along with the geodogs for a nice easy walk to find the caches. We continued on to the neighbouring park to keep caching Luckily we read previous posts to find out that cache was further down the path from the given coordinates. Also the hint is no longer relevant to the hiding location.
I was out for a walk through this lovely bit of bush with Bertie and Aiden29. Having read previous logs we knew we needed to go another 30m down the track where we quickly found the cache. Co-ords need to be updated on the cache page. Thanks to previous finders who posted that the cache can be found at
S36 48.320 E174 44.510.
S36 48.320 E174 44.510.
As mentioned in previous logs - cache 30m odd further along the track...and hint no longer relevant.

TFTC! Found after some searching with paraonegirl. Not at stated location, but close to the track
tftf with k-adventure cache a bit damp. definitely read previous posts cache is approximately 30m further down the track.
Out with Kid and kids friend, Kid found it. Was a bit damp in side.
Logged our visit and put back in place, kid put a few leaves on top...

On the way to pick up MissNZT so we left early so we could do some caching on the Shore beforehand.
Looking at the google maps we thought we could drive closer to GZ then we managed to get. Came across a gate barring our entry to what used to be a through road.
Left the car at this gate and wandered to GZ. Had a good look around without any luck. Mrs NZT read some previous logs and thanks goes to kiwiscot19 and agazo logs for extra info. If it wasn't for this we would have NEVER found this as the cache is approximately 30 meters from stated coordinates.

Out for a Sunday morning caching jaunt with the Gadget team. Took a bit of searching to find this one, wondered if the local weeding group had found this but no it is still there. Previous posts had better clues.
Started at GZ, then expanded a bit. I finally used the coords from a previous log to get close then spotted the cache poking its nose out at me. Location did not fit the hint, so go figure.
Found at S36 48.320 E174 44.510. I tried to leave as school was letting out and so many cars were double parked that I finally turned around and drove out using Gladstone. TFTC.

Coordinates off, but good description in previous comments to make for easy find
Two of us searching for half an hr and couldn't find it Had to abort mission as getting eaten alive by mosquitoes. Will come back
Nice find in the end, used the cords from previous logs, GPS can vary so we used the last log cords but it seemed more like 5-6 metres not 50-60 metres. Still a nice track and finished before the downpour came on this wet Christmas Eve.
Birthday trek around Kauri Glen Bush with Lisa to fill some spare time during the day!
Even with the new information and updated coordinates in the previous logs, I was still unable to find this one...
New / updated co-ordinates & clue:
S 36.48.320
E 174 44.504
Cache is located on the left about 50-60 metres along the track from Woodside Ave. Look for the tree log at the side of the track. Punga about knee high.

Took a bit of searching but got there in the end. Had a fair idea of what I was looking for due to previously finding Forest1. Hint no longer valid. Cache may have done some creeping. Surprisingly dry inside. Container works better than expected. Lots of bird life around including a rather loud Kingfisher. Maybe I was intruding on its territory. Travel bug collected.

Boo. Found the area 20m further in from gz. Hint and descriptions followed. Height not an issue but still could not locate
Found the cache on the ground - a bit damp but all there. Signed cache and replaced as per hint. (S 321 E 513) t4tc
Used the suggested coords given in logs but only had time for a quick look which didnt do justice. Maybe another day
