Day 3 of a quick visit to southern YP. Today was a free day. The weather was hot and windy - no wonder the locals call it Windy November.A quick stop here, great family memories for you! Thanks for the cache Alex-the squirrel.
Found whilst touring the Yorke Peninsula, during our lap round OZ. The Yorke Pen has surprised us with some beautiful views, and the water tank art trail surprised us with some beautiful views, and the water tank art trail

Found on my York Peninsula caching Odyssey. I enjoyed the scenery and the caches. Thanks Alex-thesquirrel.
Quick find whilst we were staying locally. Plaque was a little hard to read, but nice remnants of days gone by.

Stopped here for a quick find today, one prickly cache but managed to get there hand in there
A big trip away to the yorke peninsula planned for the weekend travelling around touristing and have a look at sights I’ve seen before, plus camping over the 4 days wherever we needed up at the end of the day. Plus why not find 116 caches along the way for the trip. Despite the wind on the first evening the rest of the trip we were delighted by the beautiful weather.

After returning from a short trip to Port Vic and having a coffee, checked the map and noted this one was not too far away. Hopped in the car and headed off. Arrived at GZ, or so I thought, but the GPS still wanted me another 7M further. So I obliged, and then the cache was spotted. Log extracted, signed and then replaced as found. RIP Nanna.

We saw three brown snakes today, which changed our plans a little to avoid roadside long grass and find a variety of quality rather than quantity caches!
This one is all the more interesting as I know your dad. Imagining the trench digging days - impressed
RIP Nanna. A nice tribute.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache on our map Alex-thesquirrel

Stay safe,
wash your hands,
sanitize, exercise, even wear a mask if hayfever season affects you and
cache all the regions safely distanced at least an adult brown snake's length apart ! ! !
Come wine and dine in the Barossa sometime soon and feel free to leave a few new cache hides out this way

Nomads travelling in their caravan around Australia. We have been on the road since July 2011 and discovered caching in August 2013. We travel with a bunch of travel bugs belonging to our sons and grand children.
We left our camp in Curramulka to move on the Maitland, caching as we went.
Just as I got out if the geo-mobile to help, the I got " I got it" call came out of the prickles
Thanks Alex-thesquirrel for the hide

Probably our fault for not being able to find it. There were 5 of us but we didnt go into the prickly bush??
After doing a second day on the Gone fishin series, we grabbed a few caches on the way back to Minlaton. This was one of them. Thanks Alex
Found out with Beary Organised on lovely Autumn afternoon. TFTC TNLNSL Bit of a prickly retrieval. R.I.P. NANNA
Time to move out of camp and head furhter north again, picking up some caches along the way. Couldn't take the caravan along some tracks, so felt a bit restricted today. Plenty of other caches were available to keep us happy. Found a couple of multi caches as well as a selection of traditionals, while travelling along mostly back roads rather than highways.
This cache was a nice easy find as the co-ords are good. Thanks go to the CO for this cache placement.

Having a lot of fun caching around the Yorke Peninsula with goingplaces2. All the caches that we found today had two more names added to the log. They were then put back in their place. This was a nice easy find. TFTC.
Spent the day clearing some more of the map around Central Yorke Peninsula. Still a few more to go though. TFTC.
Gaff 5 Found in the company of maccamob an interesting plaque and nice ruin Thanks for the cache.
We have just returned from four days at Port Rickaby.
As the days were in the low forties there was not much opportunity for safe caching, however this was one of a few found and signed.

Time to head back to Yorke Peninsular for another visit. Around this time thirty years ago Bri and Sal were preparing for the big day when we became brisal. Geocaching wasn't around back then but people joining together to become as one was, so a visit back was a good way of celebrating.
Heading over to see where Sal learnt to swim many years ago and where she would love to finally retire to, I was able to stop and pick up few caches in passing. [^]
Interesting little spot. Thanks squirrel for sharing. [8)]

Out for the day with LLL51 and Madham02 with the aim of finding LLL51's 1000th cache. [^] A plan was hatched and we started off with 14 caches targeted, hoping we didn't have any DNF's. The weather was not looking too promising, but we managed to get them all before the rain really set in.
This one was targeted as the 1000th find for LLL51 as we loved the reason for the cache. Would have loved to have been able to have a look at the ruins especially knowing some of their history.
Thanks for the cache Alex-thesquirrel.

Hi there Alex-thesquirrel.
We found your cache **"RIP Nanna"** at 12:18:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 17251).
We started the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then took a route that was mostly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around the area & ended up finding quite a variety of container types, and sizes hidden along our route.
We found 17 caches today & DNF'd 4. Without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Over from the Barossa for our annual Australia Day geocaching weekend. After a nice trip around Innes today with jalinrenos, we grabbed this on the way back after a slight nudge by the CO on FB. Could just imagine the covert shenanigans that went on in all those tree houses! looks like it would have been an awesome place in its heyday! Thanks for the nudge Alex.
The memorial plaque roadside was the first hint I was in the right spot.
The ruins of the homestead visible in the fields were the second sign !!
Sure 'nuff, a short stroll along the fenceline later and the cache was found
Logbook signed after brushing off the snails !!

We decided to do a caching trip along the coast from Port Minlacowie to Port Rickaby,
picking up other caches along the way.
All caches were found after a short search, signed and replaced.
Many thanks for placing this cache, Alex-thesquirrel, for us and others to find.

I was with the squirrel when he placed this cache, but figured I wouldn't log until we returned. Today was that day - thanks for the cache
Day 2 of our trip and today's plan is to head along the west side of the peninsula, once again the weather was perfect, its great to be back on the Yorke peninsula again and what was suppose to be a overnight stay ended up being a 2 nights and 3 days stay on the Yorke peninsula, we managed to find quite a few while here and on our third day we had to head back earlier than planned after car issues, the weather was very pleasant while here and we look forward to returning back here to keep finding more caches, we thank all the COs for placing these caches for us to find and making our visit very enjoyable. Found myself in SA for other reasons this month, and McPhan agreed to join me for the trip back. The main purpose was the Yorke P geoart, but we finished these faster than planned, so had another day just cruising around the Yorke back roads, doing caches like this one.
Thanks Alex-thesquirrel for the series.

Traveling from Yorketown to Kadina today, only 130km by the shortest route, but that's not how geocachers travel it took me all day! Lots of detours and dirt tracks explored, great scenery, and a lot of fun finding caches along the way.

Found It!
Didn't take too long to spot this one - extracting it took a bit longer though! An interesting bit of history nearby that never knew about to!
I sometimes go caching with my grandpa and he sees it as a good chance to get away from grandma for a few hours!
