A LWE away caching w Team WaldronToured the mid north and surroundsSome great caches foundFixed a few as wellTFTC
The best thing about going on the occasional work field trip is that you can do some caching when you finish early. This was to be the second of many for the afternoon around Orroroo. Felt really dodgy out here as the owners of the nearly property turned up and I was in a Government vehicle. Luckily I just looked like I was inspecting some infrastructure. Cache was found right away and logged. TNLN. Cheers.
Well hidden cache. Needs a new log and the opening mechanism for the cache is a bit rusty. Thank you!
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders Ranges. Now travelling through to Peterborough picking up finds along the route. Thanks for the hide.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor, picking up caches as we go. Today, we are caching along the road from Hawker to Peterborough.
Full time Nomads since March 2014.
Having been in Perth to visit family our stay has come to an end and we are on our way to Broken Hill for the Mundi Mundi Bash.
Staying in Orroroo for a few days. After lunch we ducked out in light drizzle to try and add to our smilies in Orroroo.

On our travels we stopped to grab a couple of caches a nice quick find and a nice drive, thanks for placing this cache
Whilst the book is on the to-do list, the cache is now crossed off it. Quick find but logbook wet as lid of container doesn't shut properly. Will have to start snacking so that we have spare containers to replace damaged ones as we go. Sorry we couldn't do that today.
The Non Wangaratta Event Tour 2021!
Covid has postponed the Mega in Victoria until January but leave had been granted for AnyMules to attend with me and Bushfire. So Anymules and I went on a tour to Eyre Peninsular and mid north South Australia instead whilst Bushfire joined us in spirit only as covid meant he couldn't come here either. Not needing anything for my yearly goals I hoped I didn't add too many to the DNFs [B)]
DAY 5: Exploring some mid north towns.
Only Freddo knew that this road led to the Tralfamadore Zoo. I guess the cat is out of the bag now and no doubt the cache is the portal Finding the cache didn't transport us to Tralfamadore though.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers from over fifty to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
***Thanks Kilgore Frog for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Holiday time, a week in the Flinders Rangers with sir_spectre and Jacknor. We had lots of fun, walk and of course found some caches. Today we packed up the camper and started to head for home early, strangely it took 13 hours to get home... Today we did lots of cache maintenance replacing cache containers and adding logbooks.
Thanks to Freddo from mogni

We had planned to visit Peterborough for the weekend to attend an event and do some caching. and as we had to deliver a heap of Crystal Decanters that we had engraved for the Clare wine show, to them, we figured we are halfway there..might as well carry on, so we organised a day off and are having a "long Weekend' up North! Today we teamed up with hevwalker and Bron. A quick find here todayTFTC

After a lovely night at the camp site (great facilities for tent campers) but a crap game of footy (if you are a Pies fan) it was up and ready for a day of caching in the Orroroo surrounds.
We travelled all over the countryside and had a fantastic day. We did an epic multi, visited lots of abandoned structures with heaps of history, saw lots of Orroroo masters games venues and called in at the pub in Pekina for a beer. Great day of country fun, punctuated with some super finds. Love a good day of SA country caching.
It started off very cold this morning with low lying clouds meaning we were in fog for the first couple of hours. Once this burnt off it was a superb winters day, sunny and warm. We saw lots of sheep, roos, wallabies, goats and an echidna which was cool. Rex had a brilliant day and was absolutely shattered by the time we got back to the campsite.
Couldn't pass over a frog hide on the quest to get to 350 Freddo finds by the end of the year. Quick find and sign. TFTC Kilgore Frog

Found with e.gregory1 as we traveled through Dublin, Balaklava, Jamestown, Orroroo and Wilmington towards our destination at the Quorn June Long Weekend Event. Thanks for the cache Freddo!

Accurate coordinates and an obvious hide led to a quick find. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Kilgore Frog for the hide.
Our last find for the day before opting for a meal at the local pub and making the trip back home, spotting emu's, kangaroo's and some deer's. The highlight was watching a struggle between a fox and two wedge tail eagles before being disturbed and they went there seperate ways

So glad this one wasn't outside an abattoirs. Don't think I could have stopped for a look if there had been animals there waiting for the end!!!
This one took longer than it should have and we were definitely cache blind for too long here.
Thanks.

The Big Western Australia trip in 2018. Day 43. The travel is speeding up as I head home. Today I went from Hawker to Mildura via Burra.
I hope the neighbors over the road don't mind the visitors. I did put the car in the right spot and soon had the cache in hand.
Thanks.

Hi there Freddo.
We found your cache **"Slaughterhouse-Five"** at 2:42:00 PM today. (This makes our find count 17290).
We cached around Orroroo today, & thoroughly enjoyed our tour around the area. We ended up finding a variety of container types and sizes hidden along the way. Today we found 20 caches (& DNF'd 1). Thank you for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** A Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards

**this is a late log** I have recently made a major upgrade to my GSAK license and found this lovely feature that automatically tells me what caches I have marked found in GSAK but never logged on geocaching.com!! Yay, Clyde, you can have my money anytime! The caches I am logging in this batch were ones I did in 2016. I cache with an assortment of cachers and never alone. So far in 2017 I have cached with Moneydork, Ride the GeoWalrus, Locus Cacher, Liz & Bruce and Team Zouk. I focused on logging 2016 SAGA eligible caches and did not log the others I have found and signed this year. In an interest to get completely caught up, I am logging my past finds in bulk. I still have work to do after this, as I need to locate my notes from all of my earthcaches, but once those are in, I should be very close to current. I appreciate all the effort you go through to create and place your hides and do not for one second take it for granted, I just need to get caught up so I can return to my once pleasant logs. Cheers!
With a couple of days off and beautiful weather, decided it was a perfect time to revisit the Southern Flinders Ranges [^]

Visiting Orroroo for the day with The X-Trailers and Missymu. It is not very often when the 3 of us sisters get together. Although it was fir only a couple if hours it was well worth the drive. The area is lovely and green after all the winter rain. Sour sobs are in abundance around the cache. Found and signed the log. TFTC. A very apt name for this cache
Today was the first day I have been out caching since 2013.
It was great to be out caching with my sisters[earthlight and The x-trailers].

“America is the wealthiest nation on Earth, but its people are mainly poor, and poor Americans are urged to hate themselves. To quote the American humorist Kin Hubbard, 'It ain’t no disgrace to be poor, but it might as well be.' It is in fact a crime for an American to be poor, even though America is a nation of poor. Every other nation has folk traditions of men who were poor but extremely wise and virtuous, and therefore more estimable than anyone with power and gold. No such tales are told by the American poor. They mock themselves and glorify their betters. The meanest eating or drinking establishment, owned by a man who is himself poor, is very likely to have a sign on its wall asking this cruel question: 'if you’re so smart, why ain’t you rich?' There will also be an American flag no larger than a child’s hand – glued to a lollipop stick and flying from the cash register.
Americans, like human beings everywhere, believe many things that are obviously untrue. Their most destructive untruth is that it is very easy for any American to make money. They will not acknowledge how in fact hard money is to come by, and, therefore, those who have no money blame and blame and blame themselves. This inward blame has been a treasure for the rich and powerful, who have had to do less for their poor, publicly and privately, than any other ruling class since, say Napoleonic times. Many novelties have come from America. The most startling of these, a thing without precedent, is a mass of undignified poor. They do not love one another because they do not love themselves.” (Kurt Vonnegut)
Thank God we live in Australia [^].

A nice easy find on a cold and overcast day. Another frog cache done and dusted! We were camped nearby and out getting some more Orroroo caches. Thanks for this one Freddi.
I was heading home from a trip in the Flinders Ranges with my Dad and we visited here on the way home.
