Hi TheWanglersThis geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no cache maintenance logged. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
If you look around here hard enough, you can find the parts to assemble an entire car. Unfortunately, no cache.
Out for a walk in the sunshine with friends we stopped by here for a search on our way home. Injeanious found it very quickly and I see someone was there before us today as well. TFTC!
Today we were on a roll finding previous DNFs. This was the fourth frown turned into a smilie today! It no doubt helped that the keener eyed partner in caching was along for the walk this time. It did not take long for her to reach in behind some foliage and extract the cache from under the rock. The cache is in excellent condition. TFTH!
We parked up and made our way u[ before realising we were meant to go down. I went to a likely spot and jumped around to avoid all the mud, then I spotted the cache. I was happy to make a quick find. Tftc.
Scrambled down, and spent some time searching, while trying to avoid the mud. Did not find the cache but did find a grey feral cat which bolted out of a hole in the rock face like a bat out of hell. The problem is that the rock face is so covered in foliage it is difficult to find any cache here. Not in the bare patches anyway. Just got covered in burrs - see photo.
Out on a lovely day exploring Godley Head with busy paws and lytteltonwitch. On our way I spotted a puzzle solved on route. The others were happy to wait while Mr C and I explored and found this cache. Stunning views and happy baa's near us. Thanks for this cache DTguru.
A beautiful frosty morning with some stunning views followed by a warm afternoon out on a caching mission with Surveybase to knock off some caches. Some challenging hides and a fair amount of gravy lost,. Thanks to all the CO's for maintaining these caches and sorry about the cut and past log. TFTC.
On a mission with Shannonp1 to clean up some Port Hills Caches. Had an awesome day but a big day. On our way before sunrise and the sun was setting on the Kaikouras on our way back down to the swamp. Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining the caches. A special thanks to the Chch MEGA team for all their effort on the DT series as well. Apologies for the bulk log.
This was a suprisingly quick find. Great to hear "Found it" from Billiehenny as I arrived.
Parked up at the top of Evan's Pass and walked out towards Godley Head. Scrambled down from the road to reach GZ and the cache was soon in hand. TFTC.
Pleasantly surprised that I could obtain this one. Lots of Baa-ing sheep and lambs, very grateful for a bit of their tracks. TFTH
TFTC. Out with kotukuSI on a perfect winters day. We decided to head towards Godley Head and pickup a few caches on the way.
We were pleasantly surprised that we could readily get to this cache.
Thanks DTguru for the D?T series.

Great fun here, thanks for the puzzle and the cache, DTguru (alias TW).
Out caching with purdiepurdie on this glorious winter's day; we read the previous logs & approached with some trepidation - but taking a cautious/ sensible approach worked well for us.
I'm slowly solving the puzzles & picking off the caches.

A little behind in the logging, but was on a caching adventure with a group of Westies: rebel98, rustynz and gorby.
Thanks for the hides, another caching adventure
Thanks for the hides, another caching adventure
Rustynz, Rebel98 and myself Gorby are Westies from Auckland. We regularly head away on cheap flights to here and there, this time we have flown to Christchurch for a another 3 day adventure of fun and caching. Today we have the company of Ivss_xx, ex Westy of Auckland now residing in colder climes here in ChCh.
I had this cache solved before my last trip to ChCh, but at that time, we ran out of time! So since our group of 4 are heading to Godley Head, I insisted we stop and pick this up too. So Rebel stayed in the car but us 3 got out, walked down the steep bank and dropped to the right level trying not to get our feet wet. In no time at all rusty found this cache and signed us in. Ivars sat on the rock above us like a perched canary! He has done this cache, but joined us regardless, good on him for coming along!
Thanks TheWanglers for this cache, I personally LOVE jigsaw puzzles, always have, will do more of them as time permits.

With puzzles solved it was time to find a few caches before we leave town. A bit of a scramble but found quickly. Thanks Dtguru for the puzzle and the hide.

No problem getting to GZ but failed to locate the cache today. I'm sure it's there somewhere but it was pretty damp and the rest of the team was waiting in the car for me so I didn't want to spend too long looking. Maybe next time...
What a relief. I did a trad near here and the heat nearly killed me as it took so long. This one fortunately was a fast find and I solved the puzzle so long ago I've forgotten how! Tjanks for both puzzle and cache.
This was the sixth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
This one was a bit of a challenge to get to and the find was also difficult. I sure was happy to make the find. TFTC.

After a failed attempt elsewhere in the hills this evening after work I was pleased with a reasonably quick find after scrambling down then back to the hill. Sure does get cold after the sun goes away. Nothing like the rain and lightning this morning though. GLB1721 TFTC (3935)
AngelG27, TikvaNZ and I have travelled from Canberra to find caches from the D/T 81 Series that we had managed to solve by ourselves, or as a team (some with nudges along the way from COs or previous finders). We were joined by IVSS_XX, so we decided to log as team F.A.I.T. for brevity.

On a caching mission with AngelG27, Fox in Jox and IVSS_XX to find as many of the D/T81 caches as possible in a day. I was in NZ for my daughter's wedding, and my other daughter's graduation and planned to visit Christchurch to maintain caches and find as many of these as possible. AngelG27 and Fox in Jox decided to take the opportunity to have a holiday in NZ and join me, so over the last few months we have been beavering away at solving these. After some hints last night we (mainly Fox in Jox) were still solving today as we enjoyed a beautiful day's caching around Lyttleton harbour. Unfortunately we didn't get them all solved, or find all the ones we had solved so maybe another visit in the future. IVSS_XX took the opportunity to join us for the day.
Easily found. TFTC.

This trip to NZ was long planned, with the DT 81 series the main focus. TikvaNZ, Fox and I did lots of puzzle solving in preparation, many solved individually, but others solved cooperatively and some with a little push. Today was the day to make good on our solves and we headed out with Ivss_xx (signed as FAIT) to collect a stack of them. It was a long day, but we grabbed around 50 of them, with a few others thrown in for good measure. Unless otherwise indicated, caches were found in good order and in accordance with the hint.
I love these sorts of puzzles - must appeal to my neatness gene. Cache retrieved quickly.
Thanks for the cache and the adventure

**DT81 series - 1/81 done!**
Had seen this big **D/T 81** suspended in mid-air, looming over the harbour ever since I first visited Christchurch. Not a big fun of puzzle caches so I just kept minding my own business... until now!
What I am - a fan of high terrain caches; and the realization I had the other day - **there will be some very easy puzzles for some very high terrain in this series**!
That is how I began to piece together several jigsaws to get to the high terrain caches. Of course, now when I've done a few, I'll be eventually aiming for some harder ones as well, maybe.
I actually quite enjoy jigsaws and, although not really required to piece this one together to be able to see the coords, I still did it just to see if I could beat the others. 6:11, yay! Can I get my gold medal delivered?
As for the cache itself, seemed too easy, although I got to say that I slipped on the dry grass a couple of times and stepped into mud twice. So, not without any difficulties
Thanks for the cache!

Totally up in the clouds today. Stopped here on our way back from Godley Head. Took the hard way in & the easy way out. TFTC
Down south once again for work and with bit of spare time to complete a number of tasks that I had set for myself. This included collecting a number of caches that have been sitting in my "to Collect" list for some time as they meet various requirements for challenges that I have set myself.
So wiith a nice and early start, it was always going to be a big few days caching and the work conforence that I was attending was still (damm it) going to be a priority.
Up here for a bit of a walk with fi2bi (cousins) who I have introduced to caching. A wonderful day walking amongst the hills
So thanks to all the cache owners for the set ups and apologies for taking so long to log them but the logging of caches had to take a back seat to collecting the APE CACHE
thanks for the placement, thanks for the cache

While on a drive along the summit road which offered some amazing views which got better as the day improved, myself and the wife found this one.
Once at GZ the cache was found on the ground, clearly out of position so rehid in a better spot. An interesting puzzle that was a joy to solve.
TFTC DTguru & TheWanglers for the puzzle and the effort of such as great series and geoart.

A lovely day with no real plans, ideal weather to explore Godley Head with my pal and her geodoggies.
It was pleasant walking along the track . Up, up, up... Then down again.
This was the last one for the day. Thankfully it was easier than the last. I got covered in these horrible seedy things. Bbear laughed as I did not realize until returning.

Out on Godley Head this afternoon picking up a few more solved D/T puzzles before we have to head to the airport and home. There are a lot more out here than we have time to collect so we will have to make a return visit.
Parked near GZ and made the final approach. For some reason this one took a little longer to find than perhaps it should have. Thanks.

Heading down the hill to this one and we had to make our way through a fair few wooly jumpers and Sunday roasts that were lazing about on the hill enjoying the sun as well.
Ahomburg had found this one earlier in the day so he stood back and watched in amusement as dad went the wrong way while the Queen just walked up and found it, then we scribbled our names in the book and carried on to the next one.
Thanks TheWanglers for the puzzle and cache.

We were lured to this area by the caches but the views were spectacular!
We managed to find all the DT's we had solved solve prior to our trip.
Maybe one day we will have the chance to make another trip from OZ
and finish the rest!

Having left the Mega Monday group and cheated by driving back up the hill rather than walking with the rest of the group. We got to GZ and I realised I'd left the hint in the car so left nanzie looking while I raced back to the car which i reached just as i heard the call "found it". Of course the pen was in my pocket so I had to go back down to sign the log tftc

More than 21 years have passed since my first visit to New Zealand. In 1994, I was only 12 days here, but this time I wanted to see the country a little more. Then I realized there would be a MEGA-Event in Christchurch at Labour-Weekend. I started my trip a day earlier and was happy to attend my first MEGA outside of Germany. I got much help from the cachers there, so I could visit the different event places without using the bus or a taxi. Later on the tour with my group, I could only look at the caches nearby.
I belonged to the group of 14 people called the Monday MEGA group. Hinemoana picked me up at my place and therefore was a bit late at the meeting point. I did my best to keep up with the rest of the group, but at one time, the jetlag took its toll from me. For ten minutes I had to lie down. After that, everything was OK and I was able to pick up some of the trickier caches. Of course with some help.

I am in Christchurch for the mega as there will be to many caches to log I am logging standard caches for everyone. Thanks to everyone for placing their caches. tftc
Nice and straightforward here and a T4 that wasn't too bad compared with some of the previous locations we'd had throughout the day (which was nice!). Quick find once we'd climbed down and then away up the hill again for the next. TFTC
A group of 14 of us intrepid folk assembled for the walk over these rugged trails, sheep tracks, grassy hummocks, steep inclines and downward slopes. After quite a few hours and much effort, combined with an ever changing panorama of magnificent views and a sense of great achievement, heaps of caches of various difficulties were found. A wonderful day was had in an outstanding part of this beautiful island.
Many thanks to our caring guide, Hinemoana, and to all the placers of these caches.

A visit today for a group of intrepid walkers from the Mega. With 14 of us in total logs were signed with MegaMon or Mega Mon Mob/Crew, for this group visit.
This was another little distraction while walking back to the car. Could see the general area a long time before we got there, but all in good time I suppose. A little bit of a look around and sure enough without to much trouble the cache was soon located and and the log signed as the group.

Day 3 of my New Zealand caching tour in the lead up to the NZ mega, and the day was mostly spent chasing down the puzzles that I had solved of the D/T geoart series. Another quick puzzle to put together, and today I stopped by GZ on the way back to the car park. Had an awesome time out this way today, and couldn't believe there weren't already many caches out here before this series.

Thanks to Hinemoana and family for putting the group together we found this as part of the Friday MEGA Walking Group on the way back to the carpark. An awesome but tiring day out with a group of great cachers. Thanks for setting up the D/T series and all the effort that went into it. Thanks for the cache
Having been assigned to lead the two Godley Head walking groups before and after the 2015 geocaching mega event, I had great fun taking a lovely group of cachers around, firstly on Friday. We had a great plan of having some cars at the other end, allowing us to walk only one way so we can make it to the mega venue and the twilight markets. The weather was nice, windy, but a good temperature conducive to a bit of exercise without overheating. In three hours and ten minutes, we managed to collect a great range of fun caches, and heaps of amazing photos. As a bonus, we enjoyed great company and made new friends crazy about caching! A big thank you to all the CO's who gave us a good excuse to visit the area!!!

When I(vo) arrived in Newzealand the weather was really dreary, so I hade enough time to solve some mysteries. This one was even solved by "ca" in switzerland! Today I went for a longer hike around the bay with a swiss muggle who is living in Christchurch to collect some off the solved mysteries. Due to the hint I found this one quickly. Thanks for the mystery and the cache. Cheers from switzerland!
#10089. A short, steep-ish descent to GZ, and a quick find. It was a productive afternoon on the D/T trail, with 13 D/T finds (including six FTFs). TFTC.
A beautiful sunny day dawned in Rangiora, where we are currently staying, (though it looked a bit murky towards the Port Hills) so we decided to go ahead with our plans to tackle some more D/T caches. By the time we reached D/T central, the weather was looking much brighter and we ended up having a fantastic day out.
Another cache we left for the return journey. Found a park close to GZ, and a short walk later, we were at GZ, with StreetWalker making the find. The last of our D/T finds today. Still heaps more that have been solved but we will leave for another visit. Thanks to all the POs for their sometimes mind boggling puzzles and to the cache hider(s). TFTC.

We have been quietly working away on these puzzles over winter in preparation for a raid this weekend. Really could not have asked for better weather. Of our 50 or so solved so far we manage to collect about 35 and FTF 2 so we were pretty happy about that.
These ones were one of our favourite style of puzzle with Mr KFNZ particularly keen on them. Once again he was sent into the wild to retrieve with helpful advice from the safety of the verge.
Loved this puzzle series and really admire the work gone into them

I decided it was time I went and signed off some of the D/T puzzles that I had solved. Nice easy find. Thanks for the puzzles Mega Team.
On my way home to get ready for work after a maintenance run to Godley Head (and locating a traditional cache out that way), I decided to just stop for one quick D/T cache. Left the keys in the car and headed to the GZ. It turns out the terrain meant that I would have preferred to have taken them with me! It's not that it's all THAT gnarly, but it's enough to slow you down.
Anyway, once I established the best approach to the GZ I was soon there and started my hunt. There's a bit of moisture up there at the moment but it's not too boggy (I've still got clean-ish shoes). The hunt took a little longer than expected, but after 4 or 5 minutes I found the little blighter. My phone GPS had it 5m from the GZ, which I would put down to interference from the terrain.
Another one down, I'll be back for more when I have more time up my sleeve (like next week ).

Another one down, I'll be back for more when I have more time up my sleeve (like next week ).

[green] I recognise the picture! I was there! That's me just behind the camera man Like Sheldon, I had to complete the whole puzzle, even though that is not necessary. Preparing for the mega...
With the solving part of the cache out of the way, it was time for Karma Reprint and I to hit the roads and tracks and pick up a few of these D/T caches. Getting Jigidigidiigididgidgigi with it for the [FTF]. Cheers
A quick stop and a bit of a scramble to earn this smiley. Thanks for another WAHOO moment. {FTF}.
After a bit of DT puzzle solving Kiwi Moose and I went forth and collected a few smiley's on the DT series, and a few other caches that we just happened to pass by.
Thanks for the puzzles and the hides.
