4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out today for an adventure across the foot of the Yorke.
It was quite a wet day really with steady rain for much of the day.
We found lots of caches as we wandered the back roads of this area.
The countryside was green and the crops were looking good.
Thanks to Kaiser26 for this cache,
We used a PAF to complete this cache, it appears that parts of this multi may be MIA,

We encountered a number of difficulties with this cache. There were certainly a number of elements missing or damaged. Finally, using the PAF lifeline, we were able to gain sufficient information to access the log.

It seems very sad that this cache has not been maintained in the condition that it was in when voted for and judged as "Silver for Best Cache by a new cacher" in 2015. Certainly not deserving of that accolade now.

Our thanks to Kaiser26 for placing this cache.

A number of elements of this cache appear to be missing or in need of attention.

This cache is in need of urgent owner attention. **It needs to be temporarily disabled by the owner** until they have an opportunity to check on the cache and take whatever action is necessary.

First we must appologise for the generic logs.

We certainly enjoyed the wander we had for this one.

We came to Yorke Peninsular with Speedmistress who hails from Queensland to cache our little hearts out and this we are doing.

We solved loads of puzzles prior to coming and with all the earth, multi, trads and puzzles there are here we were never lacking in variety.

When we found caches that needed repair we have done our best to do what was possible, unfortunately we have now rum out of spare containers, so no more repairs can be done. We have enjoyed the scenery, the walks, the animal life and the challenges that was encountered while traveling the Peninsular. Not all the caches have been attempted due to time restraints but those have been earmarked for future visits.
We also would like to thank Speedmistress for supplying our geocaching chariot.
A huge thanks to all the cache owners for placing these caches for us to enjoy.

On this occassion, I am doing a generic log. I have travelled from Queensland to meet up with Muff1 for a Geocaching extravaganza on the beautiful Yorke Peninsular. Our goal to Cache, Cache and Cache. Each day our "finds" have been growing in number, some days more productive then others. We have also been careful to take time to appreciate the natural wonder of the areas we have visited. The variety of caches was interesting, some very clever, some the quick grab they were designed to be. A big thank you to all of the dedicated Cache placers who have made this possible.

Hi there Kaiser26.

We found your cache **"flora park" **at 12:57:00 PM today. This cache makes our find count 13745.

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip around this park today. We usually start the day off by nominating a cache some distance away from our camp site and then take a route mainly determined by the next closest cache according to our GPS. Today we started in Edithburg and ended up finding 3 & DNFing 0.

We awarded this cache a favourite point for the experience and novel constructions we found along the way.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found the cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny.

Enjoyed the stroll around the scenic park during a trip to Wool Bay for the weekend. Thanks for the fun cache Kaiser26!

Aww. Leaving two teen boys waiting in the car after a seaside scooter accident I scampered in and out of the park collecting information and visiting all the waypoints. (And checkin on them and their mobile data usage!). Great job and a fantastic multi but I couldn't manage to open the final container with the vital ingredient not where it was indicated. Phoned a friend to confirm and it was suggested I might have still been able to access but couldn't try again today. Will try agin on our next visit. Thanks for a fun multi

Went for an early morning walk around to find this cache before moving onto the Innes National park.
Took Geo Coin

Our GPSr wasn't settling down very well today but we figured out the first site and made a find of the container there before heading to the next location. Clever spot to put this little critter but it's a very tight squeeze and the container was open with the papers loosely inside it so thankfully it hadn't rained and made everything wet. We proceeded to the final GZ and made a quick find and sign before replacing it back in its hidey hole. We returned the 2nd element and secured it properly before returning to the GeoBeast and heading back to our camping spot near Edithburgh. TFTC & the walk in the park.

This is the first multi I have done that had actual caches to find. Very Happy. Agee with other finders that the 2nd and final caches needed some maintenance but they were still in good enough condition to enjoy them. Thanks Kaiser26 (perhaps you will set some more like this Wink). Dropped off geocoin.

Time to head home after a wonderfully relaxing weekend on Yorke Peninsula with muggle partner and Brodie but after the great event attended last night...it sure was a struggle to get up early and pack to leave Wink
Despite that, 13 caches were found Smile and since two were previous DNFs, it was a good day's caching Cool

Great little mutli that didn't take long, didn't make us cover miles and miles and did show us some of the reserve area Cool
WP1 was an easier find than expected as I initially thought we'd be looking for ages! Twisted
Sadly WP2 has lost its screw part Sad but the required information is still intact. Smile
GZ was a quick find Smile but a wire is loose and the battery may be flat, so some of the experience was missing. Sad
All in all, still a fun little multi that we all enjoyed Cool

A cool multi with some well thought out stages. At first the rocks made me think otherwise but the hides along the way were well done. Maybe some battery and solder work for the final is required, but otherwise spot on coords and smiles all round.

Found on the Footloose Event Weekend Wink Thanks to Kaiser26 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!

I went out caching with friends on my journey back to Adelaide after attending the GC dinner event in Warooka last night.

We arrived at the first set of coordinates and one of my caching buddies was enthusiastic, the other - not so excited at the thought of a multi, but I really enjoyed it!

Great company and a nice little wander in a lovely park, on a beautiful day - what more can you ask for?? woo hoo!!

TFTC Kaiser26 - such a lot of fun searching for this cache as it was so well organised.

After a successful "Footloose' event at Warooka, it was time to make the journey back to Adeleide.
This was another of the fun stops along the way.

Daffodil Pats and I had a most pliant walk through the park today to find this very well put together cache. Had no troubles finding the stages and the excellent final cache. The backing of WP2 has come adrift at some point. Thanks for the cache Kaiser26!

My first multi cache! Found with Team Conquest. We enjoyed walking through the interesting park with lots of bird life.

Doing a maintenance run in Coobowie today so decided to locate your cache with 3LG.
A great effort by you and deserves a fav point.
Must say container at 2nd spot had A broken lid and white ants all over it.
You may want to check.
Mick from 3LG attempted to get rid of ants as best he could.
Looks like a bit of council maintenance has been done on paths recently.
TFTC and no snakes in area today.

11-Nov-15
Today we join earthlight as she heads down to Coobowie to do some cache maintenance and we grab some caches along the way, this was a nice little multi to do and break the drive, all coords are good and final was located nice and easy, WP1 we found the cache in the open and rehid it after grabbing the info, WP2 needs some tlc and the white ants are enjoying a free feed from the container you have left them lol, Final cache there is a wire disconnected so we didn't get to see what happens but we can see how it works, cool cache and was fun doing it. Day five of the short holiday with Bettyboo3747.
Saddled up the deadly treadlies, and rode the mosaic trail to Edithburgh (from Sultana Point), then the Ancestor's trail to Coobowie. That was the easy part. We then rode into the head wind all the way back! I was sure there were more sheltering trees on the way up.
A very windy afternoon seem to discourage muggles for this park today, as we saw no one.
A nice walk and some very nice containers. I particularly liked WP2.
maybe a bit of string or ribbon for the tool in this way point would make it easier to carry and less likely to be dropped.
Nice multi.
Thanks, Robmc.

23-Aug-15
8753. We awoke to a blue sky and put Plan A into action. This was a bike ride from Sultana Point to Coobowie caching along the way and also enjoying the Mosaic Trail into Edithburgh. On the way back it was a battle as those SE winds wanted to blow us backwards.

I mentione to Robmc that there was a nearby cache but he did not have it on his GPS. We proceeded to the park and quickly worked our way from WP to WP. On reaching GZ it was good to see a decent sized cache. Not sure how the led lights were supposed to work - they weren't for us today. We were surprised to see only the log from the 2 FTF's on the log sheet. A nice surprise to find a relatively new cache. We enjoyed doing this multi to end our caching day.

Thanks. Kaiser26

_AliT and I were at Pt Vic for a night and looked for unfound caches. "We can go for a drive after tea," I said. "OK" she said, so we drove across the Peninsula for this cool adventure. One of our torches worked well Wink

Awesome cache, a great choice for my 200th. Thanks so much Kaiser26!
