Staying next 2 nights in Wallaroo but taking the long way there. Haven't cached this area before.
Tricky spot to park but not much traffic today. Lovely creek crossing with water flowing. Survived the ascent and descent without injury. Tftc.
Travelling with richlink from Perth to Darwin up along the west coast and home again through the centre and the Nullarbor. We are on the home stretch now, just a few days in the Yorke to pick up a few caches. Thanks for the cache.
Travelling with iluvtrekking up the WA coast to Darwin, down the Centre and in the Flinders. After spending some time in Peterbough and Minlaton we moved to Moonta to grab finds in Moonta and surrounds. Out on wet and misty day run to Redhill caching enroute. Replaced container here.
The usual Wednesday Wander for members of Befuddled Puzzle solving group had us heading once again in search of solved puzzles and anything else we might be passing. Today it was myself, SA Sewer Rats and Astro. [:o)] Today we were meeting at the Rat's Nest before heading northwards towards our ultimate goal of reaching the new caches at Clement's Gap. There were the usual laughs[^], bad jokes, a couple of FTF's and some more DNF's to add to a list that should be shrinking and not increasing. [:(!] A big day out with me not getting home until 1.00 a.m. the next day and Astro even later.
A quick find in the obvious spot.
Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again I will trying to get the other two this year. [^] Should be easy as I only have to get two multi caches in July from the lockdown and couldn't get out. [:o)] The other was DNF's that came down from over 50 to the low teens before blowing out again but I really want to see only single a single digit this year.
***Thanks SnB2020 for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

It was time for a Wednesday wander.
A trio of Befuddled puzzlers met at the Rat's den, to go north.
The trio consisted of SA Sewer Rats, Brisal5 and Astro.
It was day filled with adventures, stories, laughter and caches.
We set off with a list of targeted caches.
Most of the targeted caches were found.
This was a a quick stop, find and stamp then on our way up north and beyond. Tftc
Found on a trip to Crystal Brook and Port Pirie with Team Waldron for a few days. Thanks for the cache BN97!
Away for a few days with Featherwaite to clear up Kadina to Port Pirie.
We pretty much achieved our target barring a few dnfs.
A quick find.

Full time nomads since 2014. Still tootling around the country trying to avoid Covid hotspots.
Back in SA for harvest work. Spending 2 weeks in Port Pirie, today we headed further afield and enjoyed the drive amongst all the green crops. Looks like a good harvest up here. [^]

Nice easy find. The just down from it was running. Didn't fill in the log as it is wet and needs maintenance.
Headed north for a day of random caches and great views.
A crossing that really had water in it. Washed the tyres
Stopped nearby and quickly found your cache.
thanks for the smiley SnB2020

This weekend, I headed to Whyalla to catch up with a few other Geocachers and attempt some of the trails there. On Saturday, we targeted the FTF power trail from Whyalla to Iron Knob, and then spent the evening and the subsequent morning driving some of Whyalla's back tracks. On Sunday, I visited Cowleds Landing and back north, only to get severely bogged in one of Whyalla's clay pans. I then returned home via the August series.
Today, we started the day at a meet/greet breakfast event, and then I headed out with hevwalker and scramping for a few more geocaches south-west of Whyalla along the back tracks and main road, followed by the December trail series. I then continued south visiting Cowleds Landing and the proclaimed nudist beach. I next found *Potty Time*, only to realise that I had driven on the nearby clay pans, and then sank into the soft clay below on my way out. Eventually I had help in getting out, and finished my remaining time in Whyalla completing the pipeline August series, and calling into Whyalla Conservation Park for a few high favourite caches. I then made the long journey back to Adelaide stopping at a few miscellaneous geocaches along the way.
It looks like this geocache doesn't get found too much, despite it only being a short drive from the main highway. Not a lot of traffic around tonight, so I parked just next to GZ, and I made the ascent up the steep cliff, finding the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. It looks like there was a bit of water in the river / crossing today - just enough to help to wash my underside of my vehicle. Thanks BN97 for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

TFTC WOW Geo hubby certainly got a surprise when he went to retrieve this cache. A foot long brown snake (thankfully it was dead) right where the cache was. Just a word of caution, please be extra vigilant especially during the warm/hot weather for snakes that are on the move.
Not been down here before there was even some water flowing through the crossing today, cache was in the first spot we checked

Heading for this cache from the west today,
I didn't expect the splash through the crossing !! [:o]
The Broughton River has a good flow of clear water going across the ford [^]
TFTC in an otherwise dry looking environment

It was good fun i had to climb up and signed the log and thanks for the cache and hunt.
Great little creek crossing with rocky bottom and a nice flow of water. Had to go through a couple of times! The scramble to gz was a bit of a challenge through the soursobs, and the container was well covered by them as well. Found after a short search. Not sure about the hint though? Tftc
The road didn't look that bad. After all it was only 500 odd meters down the road. Followed H423L down and wished I hadn't. I ended up slipping up the hill to the fence post. Getting down I was lucky and didn't end up in the mud.
Thanks to BN97 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet!
These roads do not like rain. No I understand the 'dry weather only' advice that the signs give. TFTC
Out and about caching with mogni and Aussie Mark. We needed one more cache before we tackled the E/C in Redhill, Mark's and my home from 20 plus years ago. This was a bit harder than a 1.5 terrain and all 3 of us ended up scrambling amongst the prickles and the barb wire fence nearby GZ. The cache was soon found and we headed off thru the crossing to Redhill. TFTC.
Left early for a caching day with CPwanderer
A perfect day to be out & about caching
A nice view from here & the geo-vehicle got a clean underneath by the nearby ford
Thanks for the hide BN97

On the way home from our annual pilgrimage to Darwin for the V8's, this time from the east coast. TFTC.
It's wet and the water is flowing well, wouldn't want to try and get through here after a heavy rain front, tftc
A slight detour off the highway to see the crossing.
Parked back a little from GZ before finding cache easily.
Proceeded through the little trickle twice on way back to highway.
TNLNSL
Thanks

The road in from the highway was nice and dry today, but the river crossing sure was flowing well. If we had the Navara today, we would have driven right through the crossing, but decided not to chance it in the low-slung Corolla. Doing a U-turn at the waters sdge was interesting!
The cache was found quickly, but as expected with this kind of container, the log book was a bit damp.
Thanks BN97.

Found It!
After almost getting bogged on the way into this one, I stopped at the railway crossing and walked the last 200m. Interesting place.

Thought I just take a look as I was going past. Cache in good condition. Should not be considered a driveby as parking alongside the GZ is risky as it is on a corner and down in a creek, bit of a blind spot. Need to park vehicle before you go down the creek. TFTC.
Warning this hobby can be addictive. It can lead to exercise, meeting new people and finding interesting places you might not have known existed otherwise. Interesting location.

We found this cache on our Northern road trip, which was to celebrate my significant birthday. We saw some great places, met some wonderful people and slept through some 3 dog nights. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and finding caches made the trip more memorable – Thank you and ……Joy to the World!!
