Sad to see this one go but after more reconfigurations the hide is gone. It’s Curtains for You.

03-May-20
Searched for a long time, read new gps co-ordinates and read old activities. Maybe it was because of the Autumn leaves covering everything.

26-Apr-20
Had a look for this for a little while. Lots of leaves and muggles. Gave it a good-ish search and no joy.

22-Mar-20
Too many people around for us to dig for it

03-Jan-20
found

21-Dec-19
I fear the cache may have been muggled.
I found the bottom half of a Sistema container next to the seat close to the GZ and the nothing else.

15-Dec-19
Lots of muggles. I felt a bit awkward when had to grab it under so many eyes Wink

03-Dec-19
Good location, easy find. Thanks

24-Nov-19
No I'm not Inspector Gadget but after searching in the wrong place reset and cache soon in hand
TFTC

26-Oct-19
This one took longer than anticipated! The hint narrows it down, but you definitely have to step off the path. TFTC

23-Oct-19
Quick find while my daughter took some photos. Took tb sl thank for the cache.

14-Oct-19
This cache is within eyesight of my first shared house. That moved shaped the rest of my life. I loved living here. Happy times!

12-Oct-19
Quick grab between passers by.

22-Sep-19
Nice quick find. TFTC

22-Sep-19
Found with JT123

11-Aug-19
Lets say it took so long to get a chance to grab this cache with no-one nearby that i thought it should be renamed "Dont bother looking for this one unless its about 4 in the morning!"
Even on a freezing cold, wet Sunday afternoon it was nearly impossible to get this one, there being so many people and passing cars about. In the end i just went for it, I figured any cars passing by would be too busy watching where they were going to worry about what i was doing.
Thx kangadrew72 for the cache, it was a actually a really nice park ! Cheers

10-Aug-19
Out and about on a very cold, wet, and windy day. This meant that the GZ was clear. A quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

10-Aug-19
After my GeoSon won his basketball today we decided to try and grab a few caches before heading home. Thanks

31-Jul-19
Needed another couple of gem finds for Mystery at the Museum and this cache fit the bill as target #2 for a lunchtime tram mission.

Happily GZ was nice and empty at around 1.45pm today, and the container was very quickly turned up, thanks to updated coordinates provided by GLISS! below, which put you on the correct side of the path, and the advice of various others that there is definitely no way to reach the container without stepping on the garden, unless you have extraordinarily telescopic arms. (Entirely possible to easily retrieve without damaging anything though).

Signed the log, collected a trackable geocoin to move on. Thanks for the cache, kangadrew72.

26-Jul-19
Great little find, walked around for a while but found it in the end

19-Jul-19
TFTC ~ visiting from Townsville Qld.
It wasn’t easy but found it with Whereswayneo. Took SWAG, left SWAG. Dropped a trackable.

06-Jul-19
So after definitely touching a stick with pee on it we found this cache. Definitely had to step in the garden though! A previous finders coordinates were on the money Smile

06-Jul-19
First night cache in town! Yay^^

06-Jul-19
If I were Mr Tickle (with such very long arms) I would not have to leave the path to grab this cache. However, as a mere human, a very slight adventure into the garden bed was required. TFTC.

05-Jul-19
With the steady stream of muggles here this afternoon, the easiest way to find and replace to was do something obnoxious like lock my bike up near the cache. Luckily for me, obnoxious comes easily and luckily for geocaching's good name it was possible without damaging vegetation. Just. Decoy in position, the hunt and find were easy. Thanks kangadrew for this hide.

27-Jun-19
Good one for kids. You def need to get off the path.

09-Jun-19
Found after a bit of a hunt. Luckily there were less muggles than I expected despite the lovely sunny day. The coordinates were a little off for me, but previous logs helped me pinpoint the right side of the path. I wouldn’t say it’s reachable from the path but it can be accessed without damaging any of the garden! Tftc!

08-Jun-19
Had a crack at this one tonight without any luck.. maybe try it again after another find.

04-May-19
DNF

10-Apr-19
We were illuminated after a bit of persistence! We dug in a previously found place and retrieved the cache!

13-Mar-19
It took only a few minutes but I would say it's definitely not reachable from the path. It started to rain and I was on my bike at 3 AM a fair ways from my flat. 5 for 6, including my first Wherigo, on another fun late-night caching run.

08-Mar-19
Found this a while ago; but logging it now.
I was in Melbourne for an event during the week, so sought out a few caches around the town. Read the hint, which helped. All good. Thanks for the history too.
TFTH Wink

03-Mar-19
The co-ords were a bit out and had me on the wrong side of the path. Thanks to an earlier log, I expanded my search a cache was soon in hand. Very conveniently placed park bench for log signing. Tftc.

I was over here for the Parkville MEGA with Brisal5, Anymules and Bushfire.
This was an epic trip, of 12 days and 10 nights.
Enjoyed the trail and many sights.
we could not find this one. tftc

17-Nov-18
Day 5 of our epic 12 day / 10 night trek to the Parkville Mega in Melbourne. Razz
The constant was my travel companions for the entire trip, - Anymules and S.A. Sewer Rats but we were joined by almost local cacher Bushfire once in Melbourne. Cool So to save space in the logs we usually just wrote our initials BABS to save space.
Today we spent the morning walking around the mega site doing the incredible Lab caches and then decided we would walk The Capital City Trail down to the Melbourne Star. Razz There were a couple with a bit of saddle soreness for the riding yesterday. Red Face Then after a great evening meal we headed out for some night caching. [^]

We found the area was freshly cut back and mulched. Surprised We didn't find the cache. Sad
You pwned us noobs.

**Thanks kangadrew72 for the search anyway. ** Razz

17-Nov-18
No sign of this one today. Sad
Sadly a whole lot of trimming has taken place.
Here with two previous finders, no luck.
Thanks for the challenge kangadrew72 ,
will place on the watch list and return asap when it's been found or maintained!

17-Nov-18
Out with Happy pants with our bikes, attending the Mega and cleaning up some more of the caches around or associated with the event. Took the opportunity to also grab anything else we came across, along the way. We had a few DNF but made some good discoveries and clever hides during the day. We had some fun and laughs along the way.

We hunted about here today but no luck here for us today. Hope to have more luck when we're back again.

Thanks anyway

17-Nov-18
The three distinctive plants have been trimmed back and new mulch put around them. This one may need to be checked by the CO.

16-Nov-18
No luck today - maybe on my next visit to Melbourne!

**Find #: 5974**
**Time: 1:45 pm**
**Date: Sat 30 Jun 2018**
I scraped around in the leaves for the left plant of the conspicuos ones near GZ on both sides of the entry, and had no luck.
Then I looked again and there it was.
It was in good condition, so I signed it and replaced it.
Follow the hint and persist, you'll find it.
**Thanks for placing this cache kangadrew72**

14-May-18
Well..!.. I certainly made that harder than it had to be, by fixating my search on the wrong three plants. But eventually, came up with the treasure amidst a few nosy muggles. Extreme stealth was needed. Dropped TB Mike the Beaver off. TFTH happy travels Mike!

07-May-18
After a full day of work, my manager & I made the 2.5 hour drive into Melbourne as we have an early work conference tomorrow.
By the time we arrived at our Lygon st accommodation and checked in, it was after 9pm. A quick bite to eat at the burger place nearby and as I constantly have to stop & wait to accommodate my smoker manager, this time I made her stop for me as I had noticed that we were so close to a nice quick trad.
Nice and quick not so much thanks to Autumn finally making itself know but eventually after much amusement from my manager as she watched me doubled over searching for tupperware, it was located and signed.

29-Apr-18
Wow. This took a bit of dedicating searching given it was Autumn and GZ is covered in leaves. GPS was very unreliable - jumping around a lot. Satisfied to find this, almost gave up!

Don't stop looking

Could be quite difficult otherwise.

Found by Mary & David at 1005. Slipped away from the Event to find this cache. Found ok after a short search in what turned our to be a succession of Eventers signing the log here. Our thanks to kangadrew72.

13-Jan-18
Arriving at the nearby event early, with a few minutes to spare, we set out to locate this one. dalerious was the first to lay hands on it and much hilarity ensued when it turned out that locus cache had previously found it, but had forgotten to log it, along with about another 500 caches!
Thanks for the added entertainment to the event

In Carlton to attend the pre Mega event and as I was wandering over to find this one I met up with dalerious and lotus cache who happened to have it in their hands, how convenient for me.
After reading the story I too found out this cache was not about a Prime Minister but a colourful local identity.
Thanks for the history lesson on this one.
Thanks kangadrew72 TFTC.

13-Jan-18
We guessed the wrong Curtain for the naming of this square (we were figuring a Prime Minister), we should have noticed the spelling!
Joined one of the procession of groups wandering down from the event to sign this log.
Interesting history.
Thanks, Robmc.

13-Jan-18
After meeting everyone at the nearby event a group wandered over to collect another happy face here. It did take a little search and thankfully we had a previous finder here to help us out. As we were leaving another group arrived. Of course there was a lot of chatting and watching of their efforts too.
Thanks for the history lesson here kangadrew72

13-Jan-18
I'd attempted to find this one some moons ago but the cache description is accurate, extreme stealth is needed as the venue is very popular with muggles. I had to abandon my search as I was beginning to get some odd looks. So, with the event in play today I thought there might be safety in numbers.
As it turned out I arrived at the very tail end of the event so didn't have a large group with me. I did however have locus cache with me who can be fairly characterised as having a non-shy personality. Problem solved and a bit of a nudge had the cache in hand in a flash.
The plant makeup has changed a fair bit since I was here last. I think a couple may have been removed probably due to many cacher hands moving those plants around.
Thanks for placing this one, kangadrew72. I always like a cache marking a bit of history even if that history probably has a bit of unwanted colour to it.

*13/1/18, Found @ 10:23 am, Find # 7525.*

This was the second unofficial event site today as a few times there was a big gathering at this one.
It was an easy find today as the cache was in someones hands when I arrived.

**Thanks to kangadrew72 for placing this cache.**

#13874. In Carlton to attend the Pre-Mega Event and hoped to collect a couple of new ones not too far away. This one popped up on the radar so we made our way over here and added our names amongst the many other additions for the day. Robmc and I both thought it was Curtin Square so there you go. It sounds like this John Curtain was a bit of a mover and entrepeneur during his life time.

Thanks kangadrew72

07-Dec-17
Stopped by here one evening a while ago but didn't have any luck. I couldn't really figure out which section of the garden I was supposed to focus on. Turns out I was looking in the right place but just couldn't spot anything in the dark.

Today, I had to wait out a few passersby but once I had some clear air managed to spot the hide. I must have looked all around it the first time and probably straight at it as well. Glad to convert this one into a find, now off to enjoy the nearby park in the afternoon sun for a while. Thanks for the cache.

As I'm now 3 months behind in my logging I am desperately trying to catch up and am mass logging to do so. Red Face

In the Melbourne CBD for almost 2 weeks for training for work and naturally I grabbed some caches Cool
A high school acquaintance had driven to Melbourne from Geelong to have tea with me and so after tea, a couple of caches were found Smile so that the acquaintance could get some idea of urban caching.

A cute old water fountain Cool near GZ and an easy find late at night Smile
Took 2 TB's, one of which was not marked in this cache.

TNLN. SL. TFTC kangadrew72 Smile

21-Nov-17
Lovely camouflage. I really like the placement - just my favourite kind of thing. Curtain Square is worth a visit at any time of day. As CO stated, the problem is mughals, and as I often find, it's not so hard to pick it up but suddenly when you go to put it back there are people everywhere.

Currently there are two trackables in the cache - a Wendy the Wombat and a crocodile. My eyes are too dim to read those little trackable codes.

I left a little panda to add to a nice collection of swag.

Thanks.

04-Nov-17
Good one, heaps of people around, so trying to be stealth is always funny when you're bent over the garden haha tftc

Dropping off a travel bug in the morning. Safe travels little dude! Difficult find mainly due to passing traffic. The hint is relevant when you enter the park from the road. Otherwise easily accessible from the path dependent on how many leaves have accumulated. TFTC.
