Good Day,

This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).

I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.

Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.

Looking forward to hearing from you,

two exciting things to do in Gatton on a Saturday night … wrestling and geocaching
so while the boys put the ring together asylum I went off on a 9k walk

what a beautiful spot and needs to have a cache here
sadly this one is no longer in play
look like co is no longer playing either

I spoke to the girls at the info centre and they have also been up to check
it is not where it used to and it is not where the groundsman put it

CO is MIA and previous logs suggest the cache was moved by groundkeepers. CO plz check on this cache and correct the coords?

02-Apr-18
A DNF for me today, running out of time so onto next one.

01-Apr-18
There is 32m between the posted coords and Fireboo’s updated coords. But no sign of a cache anywhere. Too hot to keep poking under rocks.

05-Feb-18
Bugger, looked and looked, no go. I will be back. Nice walk to speak up the surroundings.

30-Jan-18
Mr Felix Searched and searched then Mrs Felix joined the hunt and we searched some more. Still no luck but obviously looking suspicious we were soon joined by the lawn mowing muggle who explained it was him who moved it last year sometime as the previous pile of rocks was removed by them!

That at least explains why the coords are out, but alas no luck for us today. Cache blind I guess. Sad

10-Jan-18
Took a bit of searching but found it in the end

Upon arrival at gps gz we couldn't find anything cache like. Read some prev logs & saw the above co-ords noted. Following these numbers we headed straight to the cache. Tnsl tftc WW & GM xo

I needed to head down to Gatton today to pick up a floating geocaching toy so of course I took the opportunity to collect a few caches that have been patiently awaiting a visit from me. Smile

Having finally had some decent rain the past few days I wondered how wet my feet may get today, going across wet grassed areas and soggy earth. So far so good. This is a nice spot which I haven't been to before. Now, which pile of rocks do I search first? Reading the description I started my search. Hmmm no joy.

Reading some previous logs I realised the cache has been moved and there were updated coordinates in one log (thanks!). So I wandered over to that pile and after a decent search, the cache was found. Smile

Thanks for this cache, WesWil & GeoMava (and Council) Smile

Satisfaction when an elusive hide is found. Having looked for this several months ago I have been to look again but haven't had time on previous trips this way.
Today on the way home from the Darling Downs Zoo we had a chance to stop & look.
Simple find at coordinates from previous log, with container intact with log, pencil & trinkets.
Found at S27 34.357 E152 16.379

20-Aug-17

**# 17160** Found on the Qld leg of our 2017 winter escape trip. Wink
A nice winter day for a trip around Gatton for a few caches.
Not many muggles around and a good quick find here. Wink
Like many others I found it about 9m from my GZ.
Thanks for the cache WesWil,

lovely area thanks.

08-Apr-17
I think I got lucky here. A nice quick find thanks. Wink

I went to where the GPSr indicated, but nothing looked promising. Read the hint and tried the biggest pile of rocks, but that was a long way away so I did not really look there.

Went back to GZ and tried the pile of biggest rocks nearby and spotted the cache straight away. Smile

07-Apr-17
GPS had me looking in a different set of stones, but I eventually expanded my search and the cache soon revealed itself. TFTC!

25-Mar-17
T-Tech and I had visited Toowoomba this morning for a birthday treat for me, and on our way back to Brisbane we collected a few caches around Gatton and Lake Clarendon.

GPS went crazy here, and took us to the wrong bunch of stones. We had a long search here before calling in a PAF, and after a few photos back and forth we were sent to the right pile of stones. T-Tech then made the find. TFTC, WesWil.

07-Mar-17
After searching for this one last week with no luck and then getting a message from a fellow cacher Eskies5 and I felt confident in returning for another search. Another earlier morning to fill the calendar we set off. On this visit with our extra info we were able to make a quick find and sign our names. I have removed my needs maintenance log as I am happy to say all is great condition here. TFTC WesWil

07-Mar-17
Another early morning run down from Toowoomba with Kestal to fill a calendar spot. We stopped here briefly last week but with all the DNFs it was really a half hearted try and we moved on to another target pretty quickly. Having since been found and with a bit if a hint we decided to try again and came up with the goods pretty quickly. TFTC WesWil.

02-Mar-17
Rusty85 and I are staying at the Showgrounds for a horse event and we are trying to clear the nearby area of green squares, got to this one today and hmm nothing, Ok PAF, nope not there, but You know every time I leave Gatton I leave one unfound, today we were determined, we rang the last to find, a friend of course, quick details as to where she found it, quick find for us, CO it needs attention now. Cache is fine but what is happening is it a moving cache. TFTC and we really enjoyed the hunt
but only because we had someone directing.

02-Mar-17
After all the DNF's this one was not looking good for a find so after a quick look we made a PAF and yep we were looking in the right place for where they had found it, ok lets ring another and lovelfy friend that she was she directed us straight to it. TFTC

23-Feb-17
Came down from toowoomba couldn't find it. Maybe this one needs a check

19-Feb-17
Searched under stand alone boulder as mentioned in logs with no success.

16-Feb-17
This is 2nd time looking, since we had more time this time. A very thorough search of all the rock groups and the stand alone rock. Still didn't find it.

11-Feb-17
Its no longer there, didn't find

08-Jan-17
Cache blindness, cache creep, muggled??? I spent way too long searching unsuccessfully but found so much trash stuffed in crevices it wasn't funny. Defeated today but will watch and try against

28-Dec-16
I think this cache plays musical rocks.
I think it has moved 3 times since being placed.
Coordinates lead me bush.
Followed hint.
Checked everywhere till something in the logs lead me to the correct location.
Signed log and returned to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks WesWil Cool All good with this cache

23-Dec-16
My GPS has me at another set of stones, but looking at the clue it was over there. The GPS soon settled though. I carefully picked my way along - there is alot of broken bottles and debris here. Soon discovered the container. TFTC WesWil

16-Dec-16
Caching up on a few new hides in the area, after we had delivered something to the nearby museum. Found after a short search. GPS cords were out a bit.

Thanks WesWil

12-Nov-16
A hot day in Gatton to go caching but nevertheless we persevered with the rock mounds. the GPS was off but the hint helped. TFTC

22-Oct-16
Next, we came to this cache. My phone refused to settle anywhere here. Nothing for it, but to search everywhere! I started in the area that my phone pointed to most often, but was not successful. I moved to another area, again, searching unsuccessfully. The next area proved more fruitful and the log was soon signed. TFTC

**Smilie #4523**

Today's target area is between Ipswich & Toowoomba.
Let's see if we get some gold on our map in this, so far, unvisited area for us. Smile

I parked nearby & made the short walk to GZ.
Or at least I thought it was GZ?
The compass led me to one spot but a peek at the hint had me thinking that maybe it was somewhere else, several metres away???
I searched a few more spots but wasn't feeling all that confident of a find.
Confusion was setting in & clouding my judgement & as I had left Geo-Mamma & Winter the Geo-cat back in the Geo-Beast I decided not to spend any more time here.
As I was heading back towards where I had parked I took a quick look at the most recent logs which led me to a spot that I had glanced at on my way in here but ruled out as it was too far from the co-ordinates, according to the compass.
Bingo!
Next time I'll ignore the co-ords & the hint & just go with my gut feeing! LOL ...
Made our mark & replaced as found.
All good with the cache but it may be a case of relocation due to cache creep?
About 20 metres out?

S27°34.361 E152°16.376 worked for me today.

Passing through town today so we chose to stop to get this one.
Yep, found it at the stand alone boulder. All good here.
Thanks WesWil.

Seeing there is a friendly event in the Garden City today, why not team up with some local friends and hunt down some geocaches as well? Gullivers Travels54 and Nadine1989 are our traveling companions for the first few, then Joojoo57 and Richmond Lad join us at Westbrook.

Nice quick find using the hints for a previous finder.

Log signed & replaced again. Found at 8.20am on 14th August 2016. TFTC

14-Aug-16
Sunday was a big day with 14 hours of geocaching including two events and a lot of other caches in between. Very successful day.

14-Aug-16
Found a good sized cache after walking around the GZ a bit more. We left behind a trackable card for the Mega Event in Uluru next year. Tftc

We returned here today after noticing that the cache had been replaced , a quick find in a new location TFTC

05-Aug-16
On our way back from Stanthorpe and thought we would drive a road less travelled. Great scenery the entire drive from Clifton to Gatton.
Once we widened our search area after reading previous logs it was a fairly easy find. Thanks WesWil.

05-Aug-16
We understood the Hint to mean a certain thing but on reading the. Logs we found we should be looking for a stand alone rock. Once we got that sorted we found the cache quickly.

05-Aug-16
Visiting the area with geo friends to grab a few caches, nice spot and a good hide although we had to extend our search area. Thanks WesWil and TFTC Smile

Found after a good look around.

17-Jul-16
The hint was misleading in that it's a standalone rock. For me it was a boy off coordinates. Nice fresh log. TFTC.

05-Jul-16
the cache has been replaced as it had been muggled, please resume the listing Smile

03-Jul-16
More than a month after a needs maintenance note posted and cache owner has not responded.

28-Mar-16
The Marble headed the right way and spotted the cache immediately, while I picked the wrong direction but got to circumnavigate the Stones of Harmony. Nice spot up here on the hill and harmonious enough for a pheasant to waddle past as we signed. TFTC, WesWil & GeoMava. =^.^=

26-Mar-16
We are staying near by visiting relatives over easter so I thought I'd take my brother who's never been geocaching before. I was staring down looking at the gps and he found it in seconds. TFTC.

A quick find just on dark, we even saw some bunnies.
The Lights on the Hill looked great as the lights were on but we were out of time to stop and look at it.
Just a few more caches to get to 51 finds in a day, this was number 47 and we were running out of daylight!

17-Jan-16
Cache find #47 with Wombles. The light was quickly fading as we approached this one... saw a couple of rabbits running super fast away from us. Cache was found quickly Smile

Excellent cache loved the park...thank you

20-Dec-15
On our way home from camping at Fordsdale, I managed to get geohubby to stop at lake Apex to find a couple of caches. Billy the geopooch came with me and on our way to the stones, we walked past the Lights on the Hill memorial that is dedicated to truck and coach drivers that have lost their lives on the road while working. My Dad was a truck driver before he retired, so it's great to see them recognised for what they do. Billy had a lovely time scrambling over the rocks, while I had a bit of a poke and a prod with my anti-snake device (also known as a pointy stick, LOL). Aha, that looks promising, it's a cache! I signed the log, while Billy rolled in something suitably smelly. TFTC WesWil, Lake Apex is a lovely place to visit Big Grin

14-Dec-15
All Good .. TFTC .. Smile

12-Dec-15
Took my little nieces for a little stroll before dinner after noticing this cache close by. Having little minions knee high to grasshoppers made for a quick find Smile
unfortunately the hide was being guarded by a horrid monster who took some convincing to leave but thankfully it stayed gone long enough for us to retrieve, sign & then replace. TFTC

10-Dec-15
This was one of the caches we targetted and found. We have enjoyed looking at this area in our travels around Toowoomba, Laidley and Ipswich. Thanks to WesWil for placing this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the location.
