With dot558 came to coolac just for this smile and wasn't disappointed Thanks for bringing us here
Setting off from Melbourne for Kings birthday long weekend 24, the plan was to head north to escape Melbournes cold. Day 2 after finding a nice spot to camp on the Murumbidgee river, it was time to tick off some caches in the areaNice easy find tftc
#800 - We had no reason whatsoever to stop at Coolac other than to bring our count up to 800! Great little hide - TFTC
Find 388 on 29 March 2024Found on our way to Capital Geobash. Very easy to find todayTFTC Orion's Hazelnuts
Find 4987 on March 29, 2024Found on our way to Canberra. Spied from a fair distance. Covered up a bit better for the next person. All is well with the cache. TFTC Orion's Hazelnuts
TFTC! 28 March 2024 6:42:42pm 7698 thanks to Orion's Hazelnuts for the cache! A quick find after we turned off chasing nearby windmills.
Grabbing a few caches while passing through on the way to the Canberra Mega. This was a quick find once at GZ.Thanks Orion's Hazelnuts for placing the cache and doing the maintenance needed, so we can find this cache.
Having left Tassie, we headed towards Canberra for the Mega and picked up a few caches along the way and this was one of them.We found a variety of hides with varying degrees of difficulty.Enjoyed caching in this area, cache and contents were in good condition. Many thanks to all CO's for your cache placement.
We did a lil detour off the highway to grab this quick find Thanks Orion's Hazelnuts for placing this cache.
A quick find with Nibletricecakes on the way to Adelaide via Gundagai tonight. TFTC.
Reperio 11:53The family and I were headed down to Melbourne today for a couple of days, and had a little bit of time spare to stop by a few caches along the way. We arrived here to find no one in sight, which made for a quick stop here. Gratias Orion's HazelnutsAs a well spent day brings happy sleep, a well spent life brings happy death - LDV

TFTC. Afternoon of collecting rest stops while taking the truck up the highway. Easy find
You don’t find parks like this any more. Great spot, thanks for taking us there.
*The generic bit for today's logs*
Spent the night in Bathurst but didn't do much caching there due to the rain and it being 5 degrees when we left! Rained most of the way home, so picked a few caches here and there to find. Heading south... it's the last day of our trip 'north for warmer weather': North East Victoria to Central Queensland, via Curtis Island! Just under 6500kms of caching, chatting and avoiding the cold! We have enjoyed the great variety of caches along the way. Thank you to all the COs who maintain them for us to enjoy.

#3990 Trying our hand at a few random caches on our way home from Gundagai, stopped off here for this one. I was expecting it to be hidden in a particular spot but was wrong and found it staring straight at me. Thanks Orion’s!
Always bypassed this area, but from your description decided to stop in and support the locals
We continued today our tour in NewSouthWales, AUS, and thereby searched, found and logged this interesting Traditional-Cache.
The weather was - said in one word – simply best. The good hidden caches and the being on holidays kept us the whole day in a good mood.
The cache (1.0, 1.5) had good coordinates, and thus was easy to find. The logbook was okay, and allowed easy logging.
Thanks to Orion's Hazelnuts for the generation of this nice cache Betelgeuse (with the proper agenda), for leading us here and for showing us this funny location as well as the ongoing maintenance of this cache.
PS: Please forgive us the uniform log which is needed due to timing problems - if necessary special actions and happenings are there described where they appeared.
Greetings from Germany together with the hope to meet somewhere like event or wood.

Found this one with CharisMaree and chappels 284 bellahappychappy at the Rutherglen mega. On our way to Canberra.️
OCW Irondale on the way to the Rutherglen Mega event today. We focused on caches in Blaney, Carcoar and Gundagai (where we also stayed the night). All around a great day with some solved puzzles in the map that got found and we ended up picking up 60 cents worth of return and earn cans, found a fifty cent coin, a really decent reusable drink bottle, a ring, and some fresh figs from a tree near Coolac.
Giving this one a FP due to the monkey bars, a nice secluded spot, and the fig tree that awarded us several fresh figs TFTC

On our way to Iluka/Yamba for a family holiday. A quick find here, not much left of this old town. Unfortunately bypassing will do that.
TFTC !
TFTC !
This cache made for a timely break on the trip home from Melbourne to Canberra.
Two things told me that this area is not an abandoned community sport area of the past...there is evidence of mowing, and the cricket nets look quite new. Otherwise, this area was like a ghost town when I was there today. TFTC
Found on the way from Yarrawonga to home in Canberra. Quick find. Feeling very lonely in this town, it’s a shame it’s so quiet. Sat in the park in the shade for a rest befire going on our way again. TNLNSL. TFTC!
Heading from Geelong and Dandenong, on a return trip to Sydney after spending some QT with my daughter and Granddaughter. But as I was travelling back on my own, I decided that I would need plenty of opportunities to stop and take a breather. I set up a list containing over 50 hides, but fully understanding that unless I was to do this trip over 2 or 3 days, that was never going to happen!
I’ve never driven into Coolac that I can recall, maybe as a youngster, but it was truly sad to see what’s left of this town. Even the new vast service centre was totally deserted as I drove by. Was quite an impressive cricket ground, and I admired its fancy border fencing. I strolled towards the GZ with one structure dominating, and with the clue, really only meant one thing. Wasn’t long before the duties were performed, and I slowly trudged back to the GeoSuzi in the now stifling heat.

Took a while for our GPS to settle. Finally found it safe and sound. Pens don't work, lucky we had a stamp. T FTC
On my way home from staying with my sister Ottercreek29 and decided to come via coolac then jugiong to grab there ... an easy find signed log and put back for next finder ... coords good tftc Orion's Hazelnuts
Geo-hubby discovered this while on the way home from the Dart competition. Well done!
TFTC was looking too hard in the wrong spot. From a different angle it was so obvious
A very short diversion before joining the Hume. Plenty of good parking and no one about so a quick find.
Only a short journey today from Young to Tumut where we will catch up with family before returning home. A beautiful run through rolling hills with green paddocks interspersed with bright yellow fields of canola. Little or no traffic until we hit the short stretch of the Hume Highway and we managed to dodge the rain.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Orion's Hazelnuts.

This one was showing an impossible location, so I just use my Geosenses to find it
Quick find, spotted by Just_Jess! Drove through here regularly about 20 years ago. TFTC
Found this one while on our road trip to Tasmania.
Certainly not much of this town left, we guess the bypassed highway has changed how busy it once was.
Still it was interesting driving around and worth the little detour.
Thanks for placing the cache for us to find.

Phew I was hopeful I could fine this just on dark. Lucky I did as I would t have been able to come back in the morning again. Absolutely wrapt to have found it
#5916.
I got off from work a little earlier today and we decided to take a country drive on a sweltering hot day. We were really thankful for the invention of the air conditioning system today. We really enjoyed the scenery which is still pretty green thanks to the rainy summer we are experiencing.
This was a fun cache to find, especially because it was a larger sized container. Unfortunately the shop was closed when we drove through here. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find.

This was the fourteenth find of 20 finds for the day. After finding “Jugiong Old Entry MkII”, Mizmaz and I aimed to find some more quick park and grab caches along the M31. This one was another quick find, and it was great to see a cache of a decent size. Whilst I didn’t have any trackables to leave, it is great an option like this exists. SLTNLN. TFTC.

Ticking off some smileys to break up the trip en-route to the Wangaratta Mega. Selecting quick, easy or quirky names, this one ticked the name box, even though turned out to not be what I expected. Bonus find of a pathtag
On my way back home towards the coast I stopped in to look for this hide, finally found after I almost kicked my toe on it lol

A great little hiding spot, found on my way back up to the Huntervalley. Stopped and had a quick lunch here too as it was lovely quite and off the highway. TFTC
A nice quick find on a winters day whilst staying at the farm up the road. Tftc
You know you've spent too long in town when you get excited about a cache that contains a pen. Cheapest fuel on the Hume - pulled in behind the local fireys and they gave us a wave later as we came past their place.
On our way to Gundagai for an extended weekend away after a wedding in Cootamundra. Great find. TFTC
After being out for weeks with a back injury that’s finally starting to improve, geobae and I set out for an adventure to the Adelong Falls today, and to collect some caches on the way. Great spot, TFTC!
An adventure out with geo-girlfriend MoonShadow98 allowed for us to venture for this cache on our travels. After a short find, we found the cache, well-hidden to boot. A nice fun find in a pleasant location. TFTC.
We had a nice lunch at the pub and then headed over to find this. It was a pretty easy find apart from stepping in a hole near the GZ. TFTC
Hubby took me and the kids for a drive for my bday and we had stopped here once before and I couldn’t find it. ??? found today and wondering how I didn’t find it the first time.
Finalf29 and I decided on a slow trip home after a mad dash to drop off eldest son in Melbourne. Loved these rest stop caches to break up the journey.
Stopped here for petrol but not too sure if the new huge petrol station was open yet as it was deserted... really surreal moment. Then off for a thankfully quick find of the cache because when we stopped for a great pub meal at "The Beehive Hotel" they were just about to close the kitchen. Thanks

Stopped off for a bevy at The BeeHive. Saw this one on our radar. Stopped for a quick find! TFTC.
Used to drive through Coolac regularly before the by-pass. Nice excuse to drive through again. TFTC
Got within less than a metre of the find, could find it though. Not to worry, at least we got to see the church and the hotel where we had a drink. Great fun anyway! Thanks!
