In contrast to yesterday, which was quite warm, this morning we battled a cold wind and some heavy rain squalls; weather improved after lunch. We found a variety of fun hides such as this and read some interesting cache notes.
Found the 'decoy' then a very cleverly disguised cache
Thanks 'Hercs&pinky' for adding this cache to the game board.

Suscoe and Phetlern headed out this afternoon after the rain had passed to find a few caches to the north west of Swan Hill.
It was a cloudy and cool afternoon.
Another fun outing with our good friends.
Nice to see some country side that we haven't travelled through before.
Thanks to Hercs&pinky for this hide, another interesting area to see.

Swan Hill Day 2 staying on the riverside.
We decided to look for the caches closer to town first as it was Sunday & very quiet. We then headed towards Lake Wallox then back into town again.
This was a really good hide that we are happy to give a FP to.
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.
Thanks for placing this cache Hercs&pinky

Tricky tricky. Out for a search on Mother's Day with the family after lunch at the park. Beautiful weather and mum got this one. Thanks for the hide
A cool spot for a cache find with friends.
Found with the awesome Team Crackers, fabulous Maccamob, hilariously funny Alansee, lovely micaparamedic, day1976 and his cute son Joe. We tended to sign the log book "Big 4 Team" throughout today.
We cached all day, enjoyed the Swan Hill 6 months to the Alexandra Event, and then ended our day with a delicious dinner at the RSL (Dianne, Mark, Mary, David, Alan, Gary and myself).
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I've had a big, but generally a relaxing couple of weeks away in Victoria.
Ballarat, Border track, Pinnaroo, Bendigo, Wedderburn, Swan Hill, Maryborough, Mt Beckworth and Mt Gambier are just a few of the spots I have visited during my caching trip. There was an emergency room visit, loads of driving, stacks of laughter, amazing food, lots of new learnings (like oh my goodness!!), and a wonderful mix of fabulous people.
I am loving this country and getting out and about in it!
Thanks for the cache Hercs&pinky!

We were in Swan Hill for the six months to The Alexandra Mega Event and we joined forces with Goodlook,alansee,Day1976,Geojoezire,micaparamedic and maccamob
We pulled up near gz and headed off and started our search where Alansee made a very quick find of what he thought was the cache but on closer examination he found out that it wasn't so we continued our search and again alansee came up with what he thought was the cache and we are happy to see that we were able to add our names to the log it contained.
To save room in the log we signed as The Big 4 as we were all staying in The big 4 caravan parks.
Thanks for the cache Hercs&pinky..

Found with a group of cachers who had all come for the Event today. Found without too much trouble and surprising that others haven't as well.
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.
Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.
Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Found by Mary & David at 0945. Logging as Big4 today, as all teams (Alansee, Team Crackers, GoodLook, micaparamedic, Day1976, GeoJosiah and ourselves) are staying at a Big4 caravan park this weekend. Found the decoy quickly. Great excitement at first, then back to searching and eventually found what we needed. Our thanks to Hercs&pinky.
Found on an early morning run with Team Crackers, Maccamob, Alansee, GeoJosiah and other caching royalty. Alansee found this cache, 7 months after the last find, which was interesting for all in sundry...

Heading up to Swanhill, for a days caching. looking at getting a good number of finds for the day, but they were soon dashed when we had a 4 streak of DNF's and the total count for the day was 11.
But on the brighter side of things we did have a good day travelling around the area and ended up with 27 smileys.
An interesting little cache to be found here. I cannot say too much, as it will give it away. all i can say it that it is worth a look see.

Found with FUF009 while caching in the area for the day. What a sneaky cache. I'll give you a favorite point. No more or I'll give it away. Tftc
Well this little cache took some finding. Found the decoy soon enough and studied it well for some time looking for clues. Was about to give up when something caught my eye. Another minute and I would have been logging a DNF here. TFTC
5622.Found by baby&Mrs gopher. at 1205. Even with a hint here it took a little while to locate. A great bit of camo and worth a favourite point. SL Tnx Hercs&pinky
Decoy was quickly found after a short search cache was in hand a very clever hide.

Saturday and it's time to head for Bendigo with the geo family of Tounga, Moneydork and sushilord.
A long day of driving with stops for geocaches along the way
All up, 20 caches found for me today and 6 DNFs
I think we were all just a bit tired by the end of the day and had somewhere lost our caching mojo [|)]
We did get 1 FTF though, to brighten our journey
DNF!
We came, we looked and looked and looked but we didn't find
We did find a decoy but no cache

This is great!!!
Checking our caches this morning and this one has to have maintenance already.
Part of the cache left uncovered and another part not in its original position.

3rd time lucky for us. Very sneaky. Decoy was easy to find but this had us stumped...there were just so many places to hide a micro. TFTC
Based on previous finds was expecting this one to take a while but geo hubby ( who wishes to be known as geomaster) found it within a couple of minutes. TFTC.
Found with ivy & kaya. Defiantly a well camouflaged cache. Wind is chilly but the sun is nice
Oh wow!! Finally have this one to mark off, after our third attempt and my little man cutting himself on glass covered, lots and lots of prickles and a lot of leaves!! Today is very cold and windy must be good luck
Yahoo. A FTF. TFTC. Loved this cache. Gave it a Fav. Great idea for a cache. It popped up just as I was about to go to work in the morning. Thought it would be found during the day. Came home at night & checked the logs, nothing there. Jumped in the car, shot out the road, the sun was almost down, mmmm, this could be difficult, but after a bit of searching...bing, we have found it. Congrats Hercs & Pinky, a well thought out hide. Cheers.
