When i scoped out gz i thought i was in for a long search, a micro in this jumble? But luckily i laid my hands on it quickly, great camo on this one, thanks. I needed to get out of the house and breathe some fresh air for a while so i headed off for an afternoon caching getaway. I didnt have a firm plan but started nearby in Harcourt and wandered my way towards Creswick. I enjoyed the countryside and had a great time finding caches as i went. Cow Corner is find number 3,511 for me. A fun micro sized traditional cache I enjoyed finding as one of my caching adventures in City Of Ballarat. Unless otherwise mentioned above, I found the coordinates to be accurate, the cache in good condition and the log dry and with plenty of room to sign. I am logging this one on Tuesday 2 July 2024 at 5:20 pm and the weather is Scattered Clouds 5C 73% 3 m/s . Thanks for placing this cache for the rest of us to enjoy Saint.Anthony.*Found with [Geooh GO](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mobiltal.geoohGO)*

It seems the CO is of my generation (old!) since he is using mash-ups of old songs like this one by the jock band "Steelers Wheel" (Gerry Rafferty, Joe Egan et al) and maybe he's also a ex-Pom as well since the description for last cache I attempted ("Dip") included part of the "There's a Party on the Hill" nursery rhyme! *Sigh!* Here I go, digressing again . . . channeling my inner Sherlock Holmes!Moving on . . I was tasked with locating and retrieving the cache as Mrs B has a dicky knee and our mates who were with us had found this one previously (back in 2017 I believe). Anyway after a few tricky steps accompanied by a few choice words I managed to extract the cache, sign the log and return to the road without incident.TFTC

This one definitely gave me a giggle when I found it! I beat Nelzarama to the punch with this find and we stood to admire the view before we jumped back in the car and were on the moove to the next! Cheers for the cache

Today I headed out with TangentGoat to grab a few caches. As we arrived towards the GZ, TG followed her caches intuition and she quickly had the cache in had. My GPS was definitely sending me the wrong way. A few cows in the nearby paddocks today. Nice cache hide. Thanks for the cache.

Like others, that took a bit of an effort to find! Thanks Sol De Lune for your log as that helped me narrow down a bit where to search!! Finally found it!! No cows to greet me today except at GZ!! TFTC!!

It was the day to farewell the Ballarat GeoTour. After celebrating the farewell over lunch it was time to head home, but not before completing some unfinished business from earlier in the day.I was nearby so decided to finish the line of caches along here. It took a little bit of a search but I soon found the well themed caches hidden away. Thanks Saint.Anthony for adding this cache to the worldwide collection for us all to enjoy. ----------------------------------------------------------The Ballarat GeoTour ends on 4 March 2024! Be sure to find all the caches and earn the souvenir before the tour is archived. In the Ballarat area for the weekend, so a perfect opportunity to hit up the MSP series and other random caches along the way. The others had already found this one, but were kind enough to stop so I could add my name to the logbook. Thanks for bringing us here by placing this cache, Saint.Anthony ~~

I headed up to Ballarat after work yesterday so I did not have to get up too early to attend the event and CITO at Miners Rest.I think that Im on first names basis with the guy from the motel because he greeted me when I walked in the door.So after the event and CITO it was time to pick up a few caches in the area before having to head on back home.Headed North to find a few off of them that were off the main roads.Still heading along Scott road and came to the corner. There were plenty of cows around and none of them were interested in helping me located this one.I soon had a friendly little cow reveal its self and help me sign the log. Thanks Saint.Anthony TFTC.

25-Jan-24
Back in the area after a few other finds and again I couldn't see for looking in the long grass...and of course, as I know now, that's because there is no long grass at GZ. Think the terrain rating helped me here as I realised that the fence was not quite matching. A bit of a search away from where my GPSr was pointing and the elusive little cache was in hand. Woo Hoo. Log was signed, cache replaced and I was outta there. Thanks St.A....neat hide and glad to cross it off my list.

Straight out DNF here. Search and searched...and then searched some more, but it wasn't to be today. Plenty of long grass to hide the cache (if I was in the right spot of course) so it's another one I need to come back for. Roll on the warmer months.

Thanks anyway St.A....

A day in Ballarat with Donuthole to find a few lad caches, solved puzzles and a few in between.
It was a cool start to the day which soon changed to be a fantastic day with blue sky.
Not a cow to be seen, must’ve been their day off. Had a laugh at the hide.
Log signed and replaced as found.

Thanks for the Traditional cache Saint.Anthony

Out and about caching on this beautiful Sunday with AusFox to collect a bunch of smiley faces around the Ballarat and Creswick area. Not a muggle in site so made finding the cache care free. When we found the cache we both had a good laugh. Thank you Smile

**Found whist in Creswick house sitting**

Chasing a few caches for the 'Reach the Peak' souvenir. Ironically, this month is Everest. I climbed to Everest base camp *many many* years ago on my first ever overseas holiday - 7 weeks and **best holiday** I've ever had Cool

A fantastic day to be out in the fresh air and sunshine. Lovin' life, coffees and caches, waymarks and photos, taking the roads (and tracks) less traveled. Does it get any better than traveling this great land of ours?
Took me a few minutes to make the find here. Left my mark on the log and replaced as found.
Thanks for the cache Saint.Anthony. Appreciate your efforts. Big Grin

Travelling in the food company of Bushfire we headed more northerly for a full day of caching and an ambitiously long list of caches to try and find. For some unknown reason we missed following our list so things became less organised and involved more driving than necessary but lots of fun and caches It seems we are now in Saint Anthony territory as we are now also in the latter part of the day. I guessed what I would be seeking here so,a quick find Thanks Saint Anthony

TFTC. We have had this on the solved stack for quite a few weeks. We had some business in Ballarat this morning so we detoured along here to attempt the caches on this side of Gillies Road. All 4 finds in this area were quick and did not pose any issues.
A rather sharp corner on this dirt road. When we saw the terrain , we had a good idea of where the cache would be located. We were not disappointed by the location or the cache container, which was very fitting.

I agree with the name - the corner is a cow!!! Went in the wrong direction at first but that helped me to go in the correct direction. joojoo57 was very surprised that I slipped and fell onto my derrier when attempting to retrieve the cache. Finally had the cache in hand and the log duly signed

Find #1754 for me. Found at 11:35 am while on my way to Ballarat with the kids. Being Mother's Day I naturally wanted to spend the time with Mum so it was never going to be a big caching day, but I had this empty calendar date the needed filling so I thought I could get away with a short stop to get just one and this was the one I chose. This was a quick find for me which was good as it was quite cold outside. Loved the container. It reminded me of a similar one near Bendigo that used a different animal and a different cavity. Say no more! Thanks for the fun cache and helping me out with the calendar challenge Saint.Anthony!

Found by Mary & David at 1450. Not many cows today - must be cow holidays too. Lovely trees nearby. Found after a short search. A FP for the outer container. Our thanks to Saint.Anthony.

Today was the day for another road trip up from Geelong. This morning I was in the company of Na'wal, a very welcome team member indeed. With a bunch of puzzles solved, it was time to collect some smiley faces. We found a great mix of hides, trads, some mysteries and a letterbox as well. We were spoilt with the weather as well, it was a cracker of a day !! Thanks to all of the CO's for some great hides and some brain busting puzzles. TFTC Saint.Anthony Big Grin

DAB and I had planned a day out caching around the Ballarat / Creswick area. We met early with our geo wheels packed with snacks and plenty of drinks on board and set off to enjoy another brilliant, fun day, exploring new areas. We pulled up the geo wheels and was a little worried in case another car came past with not much room to park on the very wet sides but thankfully today no one else was at Cow Corner. We searched elsewhere before turning around and spotting the hiding location. Cte cache container. Signed and returned as found.

**Thanks for this traditional cache Saint Anthony** Smile

Out with the family today trying to add some more smiles around our local area... what a great spot and entertaining cache! It gave the kids a bit of a laugh that's for sure, signed the log and said hi to the four legged locals before heading onwards. TFTC!

Lots of little lambs frolicking in the paddocks nearby, made me smile. TFTC

Lovely spot but icy!
I went for a hoick over cow corner, no fielders out there and the ball bounced twice and ran over the boundary line for 4.
I might not be so lucky next time.....

A quick trip out here today, and a quick find. No cows here today, they were further up the road. Cool cache holder. Cigc. Tftc

27-May-17
Our last full day of caching on our excursion to the big island and we decided we didn't want to cache in town so we found our way out to this area to see how many we could get. The tally for the day was 35 GC finds, apologies for the generic logs. Saw about 20 kangaroos up on the hill near this one, and a few cows about as well. Loved the cache container, favourite point awarded. TFTC

Good co ords led to a quick find. The cache was very appropriate? A favourite is given

Got to keep moooving on mothers day with my crew.

13-May-17
While in Ballarat for Mothers Day weekend we decided to pick up a few caches that have been loitering on our Creswick map for some time.
We enjoyed this novelty cache and the views here today but alas not a cow in sight.
Thanks for the themed hide....mooooo......

Out for a lunchtime cache with kenare. Looking to fill a hole in our calendar and needed one close to work so we thought we would see how far we could get. Not wanting to push it too far we saw this one and decided to stop. So pleased we did what a cool camo loved it tftc

19-Apr-17
There was no way that I could stay at work by myself for a boring lunch break knowing that Jenno3 was out caching by herself!! She could be attacked by cows!! So I had to accompany her! Lol. I got out a lil bit later than her but we were soon on the road for a mini adventure. We soon had the cache in hand, logging duties performed and before we knew it we were back on the road heading back to work. Fun! Tftc

Well this one made up for the dismal DNF at the last spot. A quick find of the container - something I was expecting this time.

15-Jan-17
Not only do they smell at times, they also attract flies, which was certainly the case today! Thanks for the hide and bringing us here.

17-Dec-16
On such a lovely day we headed out to see if we could explore some areas and add some smiles, As the youngest member of our team likes cows we thought this one was a good one to start with, with no one but the four legged friends around we managed to make the search, find, signed log and replaced with many mooing eyes on us. Thanks Saint Anthony for the fun

15-Dec-16
Geocaching has taken me on many adventures over the years all over Australia and overseas. It has also introduced me to a brilliant and diverse group of people, many of whom are now close friends.

Today I was lucky enough to be out and about so I targeted this cache.

Sorry for the late log, but thanks for adding to the adventure!

Thanks Saint.Anthony for placing this cache.

14-Dec-16
This was a quick pick up with chooknchunk and micaparamedic on an impromptu caching run. And it was nice to have a chat to the cows as they came up to check us out.

14-Dec-16
Was a little cautious of the long grass and piles of rocks on this walm summer day with snakes out and about. Had a laugh when l found the cache. No cows to watch over me just giant hay bails this close to christmas

14-Dec-16
Found while out caching this lovely mild summer's afternoon with Micaparamedic and also with Wozzle68 who joined us for a few caches.

As we drove towards this one, we were joking about how many years ago we used to get sloppy directions at some ride briefings like "turn left at Jack's and then right at the cow on the corner". And lo and behold, as we approached this cache, all the cows were there waiting for us on the corner. They supervised as we found the cache, signed and replaced it. Very novel! TFTC Saint Anthony.

Did a detour on the way for morning tea. A quick find when I spun myself around. Cows and sheep nearby today. Thanks Saint.Anthony.

27-Oct-16
Suscoe was on a Creswick and district mission today in the very good company of Phetlern and Bushfire.
We had a most enjoyable wander around the local roads and the countryside is in good condition with lots of green grass and happy looking cattle and sheep.
This was the 10th find of the day and a spectator was checking us out closely while we were at GZ.
Of Angus origin we suspect.
Thanks to Saint Anthiny for placing this cache here.

27-Oct-16
Up in this area again today with my great caching mates the suscoe cachers and the Phetlern Team who have a wealth of knowledge between them with about 30,000 finds.
Gee there is some growth around this year so it looks like a nasty year for us fire-fighters.
Very peaceful location and the container was soon located, log signed and we were off to the next on our list.
Thanks Saint.Anthony for placing this cache.

Together with Bushfire we joined Suscoe on a mission they had cleverly mapped out to seek out unfound puzzle and traditional caches around Creswick and district. Unfortunately the cows were not very close today, we did however see evidence of them moving through here when the road was wet.

Satellites today had our GZ 6m E of where we found the cache.

Our thanks to Saint.Anthony for placing this cache.

After being a little quiet on the caching scene lately, thought we would attempt a FTF to encourage us to get back in to it! And success!! Geo-husband didnt even get in the door from work before all the family were thrown in the car for the trip out! Hit GZ and quickly had the cache in hand! Almost then out of hand as the wind just about sent the log out of my hands and in to the stream! Great little spot and thanks for bringing us out here! FTF TFTC SL

Thought we'd have a go at an Ftf but weren't fast enough off the mark, jiwilly beat us by 15 min! We trundled along and quickly found the hideout at 5:08pm. Never mind, Stf is okay and it was fun to try! It is a pretty little spot but very muddy at present. Could see the cows had passed by. Rain was just beginning again. SL Took pic. TFTC
