Full time Nomads, travelling around Australia since 2014. This is our first visit to Swan Hill and there is sooo much to see and sooo many caches nearby, leaving us spoilt for choice. We headed out early this morning hoping to beat the heat. Very unsuccessful at that and pretty unsuccesful days caching too. Lots of DNF, feeling pretty sad now. Tired, hot and grumpy we gave up just after lunch. We did manage to find this cache. Red FaceTFTC Lisa.kenny13 [^]

Glad to find this one after a DNF and 2 visits. As the GPS had me on the wrong side (14m out) I should have widened my search previously. Thanks to the last finder I was encouraged to have another go and yep, there it was. I listened to the T rating as well. TFTC and SL at 6:50pm. It’s chilly out!

After a busy week finding about 1000 wherigos in South Australia I made my way back home, covering almost 900km over 3 states in one day going the scenic route from Swan Reach to Swan Hill and then back south.
It was a beautiful sunny day to be wandering around country Victoria.

Most of this area was taped off due to construction works. I could get to GZ but couldn't search due to all the tradies there.

24-Mar-22
Hint massively helped here. Had to cross a few ropes but all good, no muggles today!

11-Mar-22
Found cache no log or pen inside.

19-Jan-22

Love the log cabin. There was a muggle. Oh no. Another cacher. We found the cache, he noted it and said he'd come back with his daughters to find the cache. Of course he would look cool and show them where it was - Oh there........ well done Sir. Glad you were a cacher and understood. Smile

A mega jaunt with endeavour3 saw us caching this cache and writing in the log, then we moved on. A lovely place to explore.

Thanks to Lisa.kenny13 and **clear skies** from TeamAstro. [^] Cache the planet! [^]

A Christmas trip to the Riverina, and a chance today to nip across the border and back to swap some of the grandkids over (it's a thing). I tagged along and managed a quick find here not too far up the road before we drove back again with a fuller vehicle.
Thanks Lisa.kenny13 for entertaining me at this location.

So sad, DNF today, but did find several others in the area and enjoyed the history of the Gem.

17-Apr-21
Looked around a lot and eventually had to leave to continue our drive to Echuca. Didn’t want to leave as DNF but had to stop procrastinating someday .

Had a lovely time in Swan Hill with a nice lunch at Spoons (recommend the pumpkin tart ) and visit to the art gallery. I liked to story of the Gem paddleboat.

Sad to say goodbye but we must be on our way. Thank you anyways lisa.kenny13 .

10-Apr-21
No luck for me here. Had a quick look but with the DNF history and my hit rate on several local caches I decided to move along. Thanks anyway.

DNF @ 17:36

With an extra week off work, I decided to go on a little 4 day caching trip, that I've dubbed the CMapLGAmer trip. Combining targeted finds for the Country Map challenge, LGA challenge, and AUSmer challenge finds in the Western Victoria region - for added bonus, I've also included some large caches in the mix as well for another challenge, but they weren't in the mix when I came up with the name.

I used cachetur.no to plan the trip and (after I worked out some kinks with how I was using it) it worked fine.

This was meant to be a bonus pre-dinner walk cache, but didn't end up that way. I looked up and down, and all around, but couldn't find the cache today.

Thanks anyway Lisa.kenny13

15-Jan-21
Despite the hint I couldn’t find it.

31-Dec-20
We wandered to the Pioneer Settlement and bought muggle husband a new hat. Then we hunted for the cache, which was found quickly and easily.

21-Dec-20
This is a nice looking paddle steamer.

When I first moved to Victoria I lived in Echuca and it also felt like a step back in time with the paddle steamers going up the river.

Thanks for the nicely placed cache.

Hi there Lisa.kenny13.

We found your cache **"A Step Back In Time"** today.

The plan today was to go supermarket shopping, but we just had to log a few geocaches first.

Thanks for placing this cache here. Over the years, Geocaching has taken us on many adventures and to lots of wonderful destinations all over Australia. Without 'caching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our nomadic wanderings. 'Caching has also introduced us to a diverse group of like-minded people, many of whom we now call friends.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found your cache 9m where the GPS said we should be looking. Wink
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing
**Left:** Nothing

Thank you Lisa.kenny13 for adding to our adventure.

Regards

Ian & Penny

Looking around Swan Hill today and mixed success with caches A mixed bag and few surprises. till warm out but the wind has come up. Picked up bubbles and pizza for dinner and gave my dusty hair a wash An early night by the lake seems the go And need to work on my website sometime

Chatted to a young muggle who had never heard of geocaching. A sneaky find and showed her the log. Then replaced after she went back to her study.

Four of us met for lunch at this picnic shelter to enjoy some chat time with Bunadoorian and Grub 62. A food and wine festival was in full steam over the road so there was very little parking available close to the cache, but my partner’s Disabled tag came in useful today. Despite four pairs of eyes and hands searching all the nooks and crannies, including someone who had found it previously, it took ages to find. The number of Muggles around today added to our difficulties. Eventually it was found. Boy, we’re we all relieved. Another blue face off my map!

07-Mar-20
After Bunadoorian and I met up with Surefoot24 and The Evil Muggle for lunch nearby, we tried to find this well hidden cache. After a fair search of the area Bunadoorian spied it. Log signed. TFTC Lisa.kenny13

Day two, in the very good company of Suscoe and the forecast of hot weather a caching course was charted close to the city.
We can remember enjoying time at the Folk Museum with our kids many years back.

Thanks 'Lisa.kenny13' for adding this cache to the gameboard.

Suscoe was out and about with Phetlern on this warm Spring day.
It got to 30 degrees and it was sunny, a light sprinkle of rain at times and sunny again as well as being windy.
We focused on caches that were not too far out of town and enjoyed finding a range of caches and hides.
It was a top day and we had a great time.

Thanks to Lisa.kenny13 for this hide down this way. A great location along the river.

13-Sep-19
After hitting the slopes of Falls Creek for a few days it is time to head home to SA grabbing caches along the way. TFTC

02-Jun-19
Swan Hill Day 2 staying on the riverside.
We decided to look for the caches closer to town first as it was Sunday & very quiet. We then headed towards Lake Wallox then back into town again.
So glad there was a hint with this as it could have taken for ages. This must be one of the most visited areas in town. FP for location
The cache locations were varied & a variety of containers found.
Thanks for placing this cache Lisa.kenny13

Nice little cache! Found while wandering along the river walk on almost our last week of a year long world trip. Love how geocaching can take you places you wouldn’t otherwise see.

Nice hide, found after a walk around the pioneer settlement. TFTC

22-Nov-18
This year our plan was to spend our "summer vaction" in Australia.
So arriving on the 7th November we took over the campervan and started our tour from Sydney to Adelaine. On that tour we tried to found a lot of caches. This was unfortuanetly one of those we did not found.

Thank's a lot to all CO's that placed and maintain the caches here in "Down Under".

Greetings from the south of Germany

finally! Me and my little brother decided to go have a quick look at this geocache after breakfast. We looked for a decent 20mins and had still not found it, meanwhile Dad came along and said we had to go so we had a quick scavenger hunt for 5mins and then my brother finally maned up and finally find it. I swear I looked there and just must of zoned out a bit? Anyways great hide thanks for the geocache

A fun little find today with the 2 kids in tow. Thanks for getting us to stop here and have a look around

28-Sep-18
Up in Mildura for the school holidays and managed to fit a bit of caching in around the other activities. On our way home and could only convince the rest of the family to a small number of caching stops. While waiting for our lunch at a nearby cafe I ducked out to search for this nearby hide. I thought it might be a bit like a needle in a haystack after looking at the structure and reading some previous logs but thankfully I spotted the hide reasonably quickly and got back before my lunch was cold. Thanks for the cache Lisa kenny13.

23-Sep-18
Well after 5 months we finally found it. Horray. With the hint updated, and exhausting all the help from the CO on our previous visit it took only a couple of mins to locate. It is small but is there.

23-Sep-18
No luck for me here today. Makes me a bit uneasy having to use the furniture as a step ladder to find caches like this but there was nothing to find at lower levels either. Last 3 logs are DNFs, maybe it's gone again. Thx anyway.

08-Sep-18
Cheaked all the doors found nothing?!?!?!

Day 15 of our honeymoon trip in the caravan as newlyweds. What else do you do on a honeymoon but go geocaching as husband & wife of course, and camping too.

Looked for more than 30mins with no success today. Searched high, searched low, searched with the old pea-bau. Got hints from the CO, but there were too many spots to keep searching. It was just too hard. This was the third DNF in a row for us and we were getting disappointed.

16-Apr-18
So sad we loved Ike’s everywhere we could think, high and low, no go
