Led here by the kids so they could show me a cache they’d already found. Beautiful spot. TFTC!
Girls riding their horses along the road on a lovely Sunday morning. So had to wait a while for them to pass
Thank you for bringing us to this lovely area! Amazing little spot. Was pouring with rain, but the cache is still in good condition.

#6280. I had a little bit of free time this afternoon before heading out west. There were some spectacular thunderstorms in this area earlier today (enough to close the local school) but all cleared up now. Nice quick find here. Long wet grass at GZ. No visits for a while. Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks supernannny for the cache.
Heard this was letting in water....so came and replaced with another container.
Surprised as thought those expensive match tubes would be good!
All good to go!

Took a detour with a muggle to visit Kowhai Park. Wish I had the camera, as two horses came over to see what we were up too!
With the detailed hint, we soon located the cache, and was signing the log. Slightly damp, no problems signing. Thanks supernannny for the hide, and bringing us to this special place. The other end was very busy as it was the end of school, so cars are everywhere

The log is so wet that the farmer can use it as a source of water to irrigate his crops. TFTC.
Last find out west for today after a pretty successful walkabout for alpenmilch80 and myself. Parked up nice and close and had the cache in hand from the likely spot. Pretty wet in here but managed to get the names on there. Another cool little spot - TFTC
Out with evilno9 today to clean up some geocaches still around in the waitaks. Easy find at GZ. TFTC
You are soooo right. This area is beautiful. The kids spent most of the time feeding the horses while I dried out the cache, took a toy and left something behind. We are on our way to wrestling so we better get going! Thank you heaps. Maybe try make the cache more waterproof.
Great drive by cache. A wet winter day with mist rolling through the hills. Cache had lots of water in it so we dried everything and swapped some swag. Notepad was dry in the zip lock bag. We added a small pencil. Tftc

Well, we did not come during daylight hours but the night views with little lights on the hills and starry sky are awesome as well!
**wrest**
What? Well, I recently logged all the finds from Duder's Day mentioning a random word from the dictionary in every log, and I liked it, so I'm continuing the **Dictionary Challenge**!
Thanks for the cache!

Last for the day. Seen Gum Rd many times on the map but I’m sure this is my first time here ever!
Quick find thanks to the hint
Many thanks for bringing me to a nice peaceful place!

This was a family friends farm way back in the day before it was turned into lifestyle blocks. I spent many days here and knew it well. Sad to see it carved up like this. Thanks.
Had arranged to met up with Trout-fly today to pick up as many drive by caches as we could. Had a great time finding 35/35 for the day, TF knew this area well from when he was young lad. Nice quick find, thanks
After having a break during the hottest part of the day Vistra and I were ready to tackle some finds again, some were published whilst we were on siesta (if we had been in the car we may have even made a go for ftf) but that did help us plot the route we were now going to target. Vistra was struggling with this one, read the hint and went straight to it, thats not usually the case though.

Having finished work for the year and being greeted with a nice fine day, yorkshirekiwi83 and I decided to head out and do a bit of caching. After spending the hottest part of the day out Manukau and Mangere, we took a break for awhile and resumed caching in the evening, plotting a route up to Kumeu and back again. Despite looking in exactly the right spot, I couldn't find this one - must have been the fading light (and the camo material!) so YK83 came in and made the find! TFTC!

The batteries in the GPS died as I turned into Gum Rd. Luckily I had read the cache page and knew exactly what to look out for as I drove up. Remembering the hint, I was able to make the find without the need for fresh batteries. Admired the rural views before heading back home. Thanks.
This find marks day 850 of our caching streak.

Thankfully the rain had stopped when we pulled up to this one. A nice quick park and grab, left TB
#301 Geodad, Geoboy and Geogirl (Geomum is in Wellington for the weekend) decided to spend this afternoon collecting some of the geocaches near Oratia. Geodad found log and quickly signed, onto the next one.

What a gorgeous country road, an absolute gem for so close to the city.
Found the cache quickly, but could easily have spent much longer here, just soaking in the whole atmosphere, and watching the antics of the baby goats at the end of the road.
Thanx, for bringing us here

Haven't been down this way for years. Thanks for bringing somewhere nice and tranquil on a beautiful warm day. Cheers V
What a nice spot, never knew was here. Found quick enough. Thanks for bringing me here
I keep being introduced to new places I have never been to before. This is another. The hint was a good help and we were soon on our way. Tftc.

I promised Supernanny I'd give her some updated co-ordinates. Here they are: 36°54.293 S 174°35.300 E
Shot off really quick when a bunch of caches started to come out. This was the first on my radar since it happened to be the closest. Along the way I'm thinkin' who might be there before me and as I arrive, I find out: Witchegurl. She had just pulled up by the sign and I said the co-ords put me 33 or so meters away from where she stood, but then SHE told ME, no Gorby the clue is over here! I stand corrected! Sometimes it helps to read the description..... so she pulled out the log and signed us in as FTF. Nice one Supernanny and lovely spot chosen too!!
