Once again has this cache been checked since the fires?
There is a brand new ramp so I suspect that the cache is gone

Introducing my family to the wonders of Geocaching! Great views from the lookout.
#5538 35th for today
Day two of my impromptu trip down the far south coast of NSW. My original intention was to visit Gippsland if I had time, but I thought it unlikely for a 1 night stay. Today I awoke to discover a whole new power trail of over 100 caches had been published. Now I am not a FTF chaser, but here I was in poll position with any competition very far behind. So I thought, why not grab a few. I had no intention of grabbing them all, I do have places I need to be after all. I loaded up the new caches in my GPSr and hit the road. Breakfast would have to wait. I still managed to stop in at some, but not all of my original targets a found time for a really good, but late breakfast in Eden. I visited many beautiful places today and discovered some amazing caches, particularly the new VB power trail caches. Green-eyed monster was probably my favorite, and one of the last of that trail I found. I will assemble a group for a road trip to complete this trail outside of the fire-season.
I can't say I had my caching goggles on today, there were quite a few misses, particularly later in the day.
A quick find. Great spot.
Thanks Rollmatrix

We were on our road trip from Melbourne to Sydney and stopped in Mallacoota for the night. My wife and daughter wanted to walk to the Lookout while I stayed back to cure my cold. After an hour or so I received the SOS from my family. The distance from Mallacoota to the lookout was far wider than expected and I was urged to pick them up. So I went and stopped at the car park near the cache and waited for the family to come out of the bush. In the meantime I looked and signed this cache and enjoyed the view.
Many thanks for placing the cache.

One of my favourite spots on the earth. Used to come here as a kid, long before these paths where put in. Favourite awarded. Don't know if my helpers particular liked this one though.
Geocaching and vacation is always a perfect combination.

# 619 at 1800. After taking a lovely stroll on the beach we realised we went the wrong way. Back tracked and bingo found.
A short walk after morning tea to the lookout, what a view of Gabo Island.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
5th cache for the day. 4th find for my grandson on his 1st day geocaching. Talk about beginners luck. TFTC
I have childhood memories of the lake running out into the ocean at Betka beach. My favourite beach in the world, despite having travelled to 20 countries. Brought my 3 sons from Daylesford to show them this spot. River flowing no longer That's nature for you. Picked up the cache. Thank you.
This Betka beach area was almost deserted today. Yesterday there was no parking room at all. This made retrieving the cache easy. Thanks for placing the cache.
We’re visiting Mallacoota on our Brizzy to Victoria road trip and we found this one while checking out the area. Muggle friend Narelle was very proud of herself as she was the one to make the find. TFTC Rollmatrix
A quick find (nice and dry though) on our drive along the coast today. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
Aries44 and I are heading up the coast with the caravan and grabbing some caches along the way.

I told 'the muggle I married' that I was going to the toilet but I really ran off and got the cache! Thank goodness it was a quick easy find.

What was to have been a quick weekend trip to Melbourne to accompany leafotwind on his 3,000th cache find (since I had also recently completed the Victorian Premiers whereigo ) became an 8 day trip because there was a CITO [^] at Traralgon the next day which then led to Mallacoota and the Snowy Mountain Highway [^] since I couldn't legally use the Great Alpine Road as I didn't have snow chains because the boring freeway back to Melbourne and then back to Shepparton didn't sound like fun
The first day, I met my sister in Bendigo as she waited for her semi to be unloaded and reloaded, so we went op shopping in the meantime[:X] From there it was off to Melbourne and the group find of the Victorian Premiers whereigo which had taken me to many spots in Victoria [^] Then the group slogged our way up a slippery, muddy slope [|)][xx(] to get a couple of simple drive by 4 x 4 caches (when the tracks are open) before caching on into the night
I made a find on a previous DNF at Moe then it was off to Clean Up a Creek at Traralgon [^] followed by finding some bloody good caches (both containers and reasons for placement) around the area with leafotwind, NoWorries andAlphaDeltaIndigo [:X], chatting to Crisp image as the group found Wherever I Lay My Hat before Rex and I left the group, walking in the Crinigan Road Bushland Reserve at dusk[^], seeing a huge Dr21 dredger once used for coal mining and now placed at Morwell, finding a tiny grave in the middle of a shopping area , finding my 1st 3D printed cache container and then it was off to the Lakes Entrance area and wandering out on the peninsula[^]
Seeing old RAAF airfields and radio bunkers, seeing tiny country towns and meeting some great people (including an almost muggle woman and her children in Mallacoota where she had previously looked for 1 cache and who may now get into geocaching properly [^]), seeing the sun rise while surrounded by kangaroos and standing on the eastern coast of Vic and chatting with Rollmatrix throughout my time in Mallacoota and Genoa
Spending a few hours chatting with a lovely truckie, Michael [:X], who was on a wood chip run to Canberra as we traversed the countryside in the dark (after I had apologised for slowing down his fully laden rig as Harry crawled his way up a hill ) then I pulled into Cooma for a break and an EC and also found a cache, Southern Cloud, about the aircraft accident and then accidentally ended up at another memorial cache, Southern Comfort, Southern Cloud or Southern Storm, later on in the trip
Seeing brumbies amongst the snow along the edge of the road at night in the mountains in NSW [^], seeing a thermal pool early in the morning with steam rising from it in the cold air and water plants growing up from the sandy bottom [^], seeing the grave of the alleged Man from Snowy River while finding the multi The Man from Snowy River - HCPPP [^] and then chatting to SciFiRulz who I managed to sneak in a quick visit with before heading home and finding The Highest Railway Station on the way
Over the 8 days there was 9 DNFs (although I did manage to find a few on my 2nd attempts ), 1 CITO event attended and a total of 111 cache finds including 3 FTFs
As I am about 8 months behind in logging, I'm resorting to template logs to catch up.
My heartfelt thanks to the COs who have placed some tricky, funny, exercise required, scary, interesting and devious caches in some amazing spots! [^]
Rex and I have had some amazing adventures and enjoyed some incredible moments thanks to this fantastic hobby

TFTC. Took me a minute to find the ramp but an easy and cool find. Beautiful view too.
Found easily enough but getting the lid off was a major challenge, luckily I had my keys in my pocket to lever the lid off eventually. signed and returned to its hidey hole. TFTC
Lovely spot along the coastal walk, had a stunning sunny day
Thanks for the cache

TFTC, log book wet and unable to be removed someone had added a cardbsobeebadded or log on that. Awesome views!
**Find #: 5872**
**Time: 11:27 am**
**Date: Thu 5 Apr 2018**
This was the second one of these hides today, but this one was a class up due its better container and attachment to the structure, in fact it was quite difficult to get off. The log is a bit temporary, being a piece of card, but otherwise it's ok for now.

Found it with Crank1 on our way home from OZ Geo Muster Event after stayed at Bega and Canberra for a night each. Thanks for bringing us here and the cache.
Found it with pwala after we left Bega on way to home in Melbourne. Beautiful scenery country.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Found it then after struggling to get lid off, and breaking a nail, I took it to geohusband for signing then returned it to its hiding spot. TFTC
Found! Thanks. Great spot beautiful place. Paper was wet and soggy may need replacing.
Continuing my journey through Victoria to pick up caches for the Victorian LGA Polygon Challenge & Victoria Country Road Atlas Challenge. Managed to get the final 3 maps ticked off but no LGA's. TFTC.
Back in Australia, for the three weeks SGAT, "SisterCornys Great Australian Roadtrip": In a small campervan from Sydney to Melbourne along the coastline.
Day 6 with the HippieCamper. Really a nice beach and a great view from the lookout. Found easily. TFTC

We really appreciate good placement of caches. This one is simple and clever. Battled to get the lid on again, its a bit misshapen. Tftc
Travelling through the area while on holiday, we picked up this cache. Thanks for hiding it.
The long weekend was here and it was time for fitzy_1965 and I to head down to Vic in the geo-unit for an epic geomission We had a great time camping, cruising around admiring the beautiful scenery and nabbing LOTS of caches! A great weekend of quality caching all round!
Last one for the day before going and setting up camp. A short stroll in from the geo-unit and it was a quick find for us! [^]
Thanks for the hide, Rollmatrix

14675. Found during a long weekend caching run down through the Bombala / Genoa / Mallacoota / Cann River / Orbost / Lakes Entrance / Bairnsdale regions with specimenX.
A long weekend caching plan was hatched with specimenX to head down to Victoria for 4 days of caching and camping. Had a fantastic time driving around enjoying the scenery, camping at various locations, plus the huge number of caches to be found. After leaving Canberra at a respectful time this was our next stop for the day after missing the previous one (which we went back for and found just on dusk). Quick find at GZ. Signed the log, replaced the cache, and headed off to the next one.
Thanks to all the COs for placing their caches !!
