No long actively geocaching and I am unable to maintain this often enough.

26-Jan-23
On a short holiday to Auckland mainly to see Elton John, but of course I have to pick some caches as we go.

Will expand on my logs, post photos, qualifying caches for challenges, etc. When I get home. TFTC

Yes, I hate these plants too, but at least it was an easy find.

Was passing by here today and decided to stop off and check out this cache.

Found it easily, although the tree has definitely grown toward the fence.

Cache in a good state!

Thanks for the cache!

Found while out late this afternoon grabbing a few close to home, busy road and street so had to pick the right moment to melt in to the bushes. Found no problem, great hide! Log nice and dry. Signed and returned. TNLN TFTC

A short walk and the cache was quickly spotted. This one now completes an E174 Challenge with all the 60 minutes. See GC46GZ4. This cache and a few around here and northwards are the only ones that have 39 minutes in their waypoint. There are none from here southwards to Wellington, so as I live in the 'Naki , Auckland it is. Tftc

29-Apr-19
Found....log book soaked......

25-Apr-19
I was out cruising with the wife this afternoon and visited some friends nearby. So while they were chatting I stepped out to get this one. A nice quick find thanks. The log book was wet and so I signed a piece of paper that others had signed but a part from that the cache is holding up well. So thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so. TFTC

31-Mar-19
Stuck in Auckland... Time to go geocaching with Riser5, R18 at it again!
Quick find, unfortunately wet log. TFTC

31-Mar-19
Quick find. Wet log book

31-Mar-19
This geocacher reported that there is a problem with this cache.

13-Feb-19
Today I was back in Auckland for a work trip and had some spare time to find a few caches before getting down to work. I decided to head West to see what I could find. As per some recent logs, the log book is too wet to sign. I added some dry paper and signed that. Overshot the cache by a couple of metres , back tracked and found it. Unless it's fluorescent, this is the minimum size of cache that should be hidden in this sort of plant - lol. TFTC, Biggles.

15-Dec-18
Thankfully this didn't take to long to find, cheers

27-Oct-18
Nice quick find as Mr P and I cleared up this area of town. T4tc

Logbook completely soaked. Could not write on it. Sorry for the cache.

29-Sep-18
Logbook completely soaked. Maintenance needed. Thanks

07-Apr-18
Last cache of the day, urgh, flax. Luckily an easy enough find but the log and cache was sodden and log unsignable. Didn't have any spares with us, so could do with a replacement log and some maintenance

14-Oct-17
Collecting a nearby puzzle cache and saw this one was a short walk so trotted up the hill to look for it. I am also not wild about hunting through flax, but perhaps if they were all as easy to find as this one I might come around to the idea. Spotted the cache and was able to retrieve it with no trouble apart from the odd slug that was happily perched on the outside. Thanks for the cache, no problems and all good here.

25-Aug-17
All is well here.

07-Aug-17
Out and about on this nice day of winter for a spot of cache detection. I parked up and crossed the road to access GZ. After pushing past the tree branches I was there...face to face with the dreaded flax. But I got real lucky here as I spotted the cache in the very first spot I checked. Nice to execute a super quick find. Cheers for the cache placement!

02-May-17
This was our first premium geocache and I'm excited for many more

Tftc

29-Jan-17
TEAM BOP has descended upon Auckland with a pocket full of solved puzzles - We were in the area and figured we'd grab this one as well. The cache was found quickly and in good condition thanks to accurate coords and a straight forward hint. Cheers witchegurl, TFTC.

29-Jan-17
With a bag full of solved puzzles around Auckland, I teamed up once again with Davidson clan and Philip.Perry. Team BOP were reunited once again to gather as many solved puzzles as we had time to find in the two days we had allocated.

We were in the area and this was a quick find on the way past.
TFTC.

#3264. The family are up in Auckland visiting our relatives over New Year. The plan today was to head out to the beach but there was no movement observed in the bedrooms at 8am so I had time to head out and do a few local caches. This was the third find of the day. There were council workers doing things on the other side of the street but timed my entrance so no muggles saw me. Saw the cache in the first place checked. Bit of garbage around this area but the cache is secure. I extracted the logbook, signed it and replaced the cache as found. Managed to time the exit so again no muggles were nearby or watching. Thank for the cache.

17-Nov-16
Great spot for a cache. Avoided the gorse and found quickly. Log is dry in bag, but rest of cache contents are a bit damp. TFTC Smile

11-Nov-16
Out for a drive. Headed towards Piha. Picking up a few caches along the way. TFTC.

31-Oct-16
Thankfully its not raining! I just love wet flax, yeah right Big Grin

Took a step back, explored the perimeter, even found time to pull out a Moth plant seedling! sorry about the gorse that is growing, no gloves today. Spotted something, and yes it was the cache. Thanks for the hide, surprised I had not come to find this cache sooner.

All good with the log and contents. I have collected the TB to move on.

14-Aug-16
Good hint, no need to dive too deep in. TFTC

12-Jul-16
Must have forgotten to load this one onto the gps this morning so had to use the phone which was next to useless. Could see where others has bashed so took that path. Wandered back and forth looking through the blasted flax then came out and spotted container. Phew - flax caches can be rather horrible to conquer but this one wasn't too bad after all. TFTC

11-Jul-16
I usually hate caches hidden in these places but thankfully it was a decent sized container and the co-ords were spot on so it didn't take too long to find. Why people feel the need to dump rubbish here is beyond me.

17-May-16
Definitely not a favourite diving into flax , nor into rubbish strewn around. Grateful of little things that it was found relatively quickly and that the rain shower passed over.

01-May-16
Quick find being in the area. TFTC

26-Apr-16
Had to come to this part of town to pick up a fellow colleagues car.

On the way back to the office was passing right past here and thought it would be rude not to attempt this one.

Park in the local church and this cache still hasn't restored faith in these types of hides...

Eventually found it and signed the log..... suppose we need to continually challenge ourselves...

Another great find while holidaying in the area. A nice quick find here.

03-Apr-16
Like everyone else, I'm no fan either - but I drive past this cache on the way to work every day and as I was dropping in on my parents further down the road I decided it was worth stopping to try my luck. Luckily it was reasonably quiet and I was able to slip out of sight easily enough where the cache was found quickly out of the way of everyone else. Nicely hidden - TFTC

26-Mar-16
In Geocaching, flax is a four-letter word. After a bit of looking around, I was happy to find the cache. TFTC.

20-Mar-16
Not exactly my favourite plant either. Well disguised - walked right past without spotting it at first.
Thx for the hide

14-Feb-16

05-Jan-16
Joined up with yorkshirekiwi83 this afternoon to find a few Westie caches to kill some time. Wandered behind the bushes and quickly spotted the cache here. TFTC!

05-Jan-16
Vistra text me and said he was going out to grab a handful of of caches, I asked for him to swing by and pick me up on route and I would join him, so we decided to grab some pretty close to home.

This was a quick find at GZ. TFTC

18-Dec-15
Found while out Christmas shopping

16-Dec-15
As far as caches hidden in that plant goes, this was not too bad. Made a torchlit find after some late night shopping. Thanks.

Well, back home in the Northern Hemisphere flax is a completely different plant Razz

Well, thanks for the cache anyway!

Doing some caching before dinner. Came here and waited until the coast was clear and made a dive in. I'm not worried about flax, unless it's wet but that isn't the case today. Thank you for the cache.

After rummaging in the Ivy, I decided to have a play in the flax, keeping with the theme of the day. After a few minutes I stumbled across the hidden Treasure. Nice big shiny empty logbook. Dropped a TB to let another cacher help reach it's goal. TFTC

24-Nov-15
Parked and walked the last 150 metres. Not too much effort to locate the cache. Observed another cacher heading in as were leaving so are guessing that we may have just missed Panatech.

24-Nov-15
Phew .....not too tricky thanks Kelly...even though flax is NOT my favourite ...especially in the dark !!!. Left a toy !
At least there are no muggle neighbours here !!!!
