Logs
I am archiving this cache since there's been no response from nor action by the cache owner within the time frame requested in a prior reviewer note.
Hi Speedhog62This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived. Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.RegardsTheCoddiwompler
Came past here, so stopped to check after the dnfs and comments.Only a tiny bit of rusty metal was here...nowhere to put fresh paper .It would appear that witchegurl and Speedhog62 are no longer Active in Geocaching.Sadly, there is no longer a cache container here...
This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.
Certainly a rusty relic, left new log paper.
Happy to find the cache.

Having read the comments I realize I found it. But I was distracted by the very out of place item on the floor next to the cashe.
Up in Kumeu finding some caches on this nice winters day but when we came across the container we found it completely rusted out! Needs some serious TLC. TFTC

The cache container has almost completely disintegrated. Unfortunately we did not have anything suitable to replace it. TFTC

Wandered along with my geo-pup to grab this, while my car was in getting a wheel alignment nearby. After all this lovely Autumn weather it was nice and dry, so I was able to sign the log. Tftc.
Found with Rockyws! Took abit to locate as what hides the cache needs maintenance. The log was Rusty and abit wet but managed to sign and rehide. Tftc!️
Can see it can't get to it.
Need to come back when there isn't a event a the show grounds.

She’s a busy wee corner and delighted it’s not raining. I have added a piece and of paper to add to since the original log is full. Also the cache is quite rusty and crumbly so not sure how long it will be viable for.
Cache is very rusty and brittle, the log is full and I’m not sure about the integrity of the plastic bag.
Thought we were not going to be able to log this but we did. Returned and moved on. Tftc.
The log book is full if someone can bring along a new one.

Rather unusually I found myself at the Classic Car and Hot Rod Show in Kumeu despite only passing interest in either but helping a fellow cacher out, mmchim, we were here to take in the bbq competition - after a few hours of being taunted mercilessly by the delicious smells of slow-cooking meat we came to get a couple of caches.
First find and a win here for mmchim - one or two places to look and I was looking in the wrong place - bit of a pity this corner has been used to dump a bit of inorganic rubbish - if you're in market for a fridge get in quick.
Nice find and handy to the showgrounds - thanks for the cache - no lid here so eventually will need some TLC but for now no probs.

On the road to somewhere else and another cache found. There was no lid on the cache but all good to sign in and replace as found.
A different day, Day 2 in the area and it's my birthday today, yay 53 years young. After hoping that I'd be going out for a meal with my colleagues it turned out to be another food option and a quick drive around the area and a few finds - again. For a few finda I'd sought some help, and this was useful to convert into a few more smilies.
I'm up in Auckland for the week, with a couple of options for transport and with a healthy choice of 4 evenings plus one late-afternoon at my disposal for caching. Would be remiss of me not to take advantage of what some (km) would call a 'target rich environment'. And so my week was spent well, a count of 75 caches was found, a few DNFs and a plethora of G-2's special cache treats with awesome camo and attachments. Some nice evening weather made things easier, and I averaged a 10km walked each day = nice. Thanks to all COs for their caches, individual logs as/when remembered.

Caching today with themexikiwi and checked this one out.
No dramas here with the cache being tucked away in a likely place and we were back on our way in no time. TFTC

Out and about making the most of the great weather today to find caches out rural west Auckland way. I took advantage of the ample parking near GZ and parked up. Spotted the cache almost immediately. As others have noted the cache is missing a lid. It is also starting to rust through. Log is dry in its plastic bag. Cheers for the cache placement!
Out with Trudesandco, who found it very quickly!
Its wedged in tight alright!
TFTC.

Today in my spare time I headed north and west to find a few caches a bit from the hustle and bustle of the big city. I spent a wee while looking in the wrong place and then noticed something of interest close by and there was the cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Yahoo had been speedy around this corner many times. Nice to find and sign as visiting family just up the road. tftc
#5483. I am up in Auckland for a few days and after completing the various jobs I had to do this trip. I had a few spare hours before dropping off the rental car. So headed up north west to pick up a few more caches. This was the first stop of the day. Well I circled and checked all the obvious places and couldn't see any cache. Its a 1 star so thought how hard can it be. Finally I noticed an old tin on the ground near the signs and sure enough it had a logsheet inside. Signed the cache and pushed it into a place that I hope best matches the original hiding spot. Thanks S&W for the cache.
Henderson - Mangawhai
Visiting family north of Auckland.
We stopped to find caches along the road, pulling up where we considered it safe.
Had to make a stop on the way to have a NZ famous Hokey Pokey ice cream.
Thanks for placing this cache Speedhog62

Out with Cats&Dragons on a late night - early morning cache run. Logs were signed MCCD but may have varied a bit as tiredness settled in. Thanks for placing this cache and giving us a reason to visit
I have set myself a challenge for this year to have at least the same number of caches on each day of my calender as the number of years I have been caching.
Today the target is ten. The area selected was between Waimauku and Huapai and their environs.
This one was at the start of the planned circuit. Could almost reach the cache from my cachemobile.
Cheers for the cache.

Out for a sunday drive and made a quick find here. Parked close beside GZ and spotted right away. Nice hide, cheers
In this area today for my work. this one was quickly found. the container is not in a very good condition, may need a replacement soon. tftc Kelly.
#56 very busy spot on a week day, muggles from all directions! To be honest it probably helps provide a bit of cover for this park and grab. Lid comes fully detached off the cache now (if it wasn't already) but goes back on good as gold. All is well inside, TFTC!
We were out this morning and early afternoon for a little gathering at Long Bay Beach, and we decided since we were out here to head out and grab a few of our unfound caches in the area. Nice quick park and grab here, thanks.
Had actually been to the nearby store before, but didn't realise that there was a cache so close by. Was driving around the area finding caches and stopped by here. Spotted the hide quickly, and signed the log.
Heading into Kumeu for a quick meeting, stopped by to pick up this cache before leaving. I had stopped by before my meeting, but there was a muggle parked nearby looking directly at the hiding spot, so I decided not to attempt it. As I was leaving town, I swung by again, and this time the coast was clear. Thanks for the cache!
Took a min to open cache, but quickly signed log and replaced
Nice park and grab

A busy spot with the equine supply store open, container tricky to open, needed a tool in the end.

Geogirl saw this as we pulled up (despite not being close to gz.) Nice quick retrieve, sign and return. TFTC
Went to the Kumeu A & P Show today and had taken my GPSr on the off chance there was a cache nearby. Turns out this one was almost by the exit we took from the show! GAR parked the car almost right next to it and the log was signed quick smart. Just had to be careful because there was quite a bit of traffic around. There's one more just down this road.... . Thanks for the cache Speedhog62.
